121  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin trend starts to climb? on: September 29, 2017, 05:32:08 AM
I don't know.
There are news about Korea and Russia banning Bitcoin and the tone of the news changed.

Maybe THEY are preparing another round of pump to shake some more coins out of noobs again?
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prediction ligue 1, france football league on: September 29, 2017, 05:23:43 AM
Monaco v Montpellier:

Monaco is undefeated against Montpellier in the previous 6 meetings(5 wins, 1 draw) and Monaco is just 1 point behind PSG, so they surely will play to win.
Monaco has the better attack this season(21 goals), tied with PSG..

Monaco should win easily so Monaco -1.5 asian handicap is the pick here
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Good Reason to Own Some BTC on: September 29, 2017, 05:13:26 AM
...

If you are traveling and lose your credit card, but in a country that has a reasonably active Bitcoin scene, you can sell some BTC to pay bills while "over there".

This may become an issue for us.

Here is a case for having an online wallet, "travels anywhere".
I don't think it's possible when the country that you are visiting or travelled to doesn't allow any exchanges, or regulates the exchanges, maybe we can say that it depends if the country really accepts bitcoin payments, but i have a doubt on that Selling BTC part because before you can do that you need to register to a certain bitcoin exchange, verify your id before cashing out which is really impossible to your part because you are just visiting that country.

Sell to someone without using an exchange.
You may pay a premium, but if it is worth something, then surely someone will be happy to buy it from you.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Korean Government will crack down crypto exchange. on: September 29, 2017, 05:11:14 AM
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/breaking-south-korea-bans-initial-coin-offerings-report/

In the article, it says

"The reports also state that the FSS will crack down on cryptocurrency exchanges by banning margin trading and stepping up enforcement of anti-money laundering (AML/KYC) regulations."

They are shutting down Korean exchange. We are doomed.

They are not shutting down exchanges, they are only requiring regulations that other assets' exchanges require too. You can't trade stocks and be anonymous, for example.

No exchange has been harmed in the production of that law
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: September 29, 2017, 05:07:49 AM
Celta Vigo vs Girona:

Celta Vigo unexpectedly won at Eibar 4-0 in their last game, while Girona is scoreless and therefore winless in their last 4 games.
This time, at home, Celta Vigo surely will win with no difficulty and there is no reason to believe that Girona's goaless streak will end there.

Therefore the most promising line is Celta Vigo wins to nil
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The advantages of bitcoin on: September 29, 2017, 04:39:16 AM
One big advantage is it is borderless. If things screw up locally you still can earn as usual, unless the whole world sinks at once.

You can still offer your services even if the local people boycott you, or if there is no local demand for your service.

Etc...

In the bitcoin world, you are less vulnerable than the outside people
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does this mean? ..."The Times 3 January 2009 Chancellor on brink of second" on: September 29, 2017, 04:22:12 AM
Then the message was a headline? And not an enigma or some kind of motto or cryptic message that would lead to some dark web site?

Reality is not as fun as the miseries, it seems

128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Voting with a Blockchain on: September 29, 2017, 04:16:10 AM
I don't know how blockchains could be used for voting without compromising privacy.
You will need to trust whoever converted the data into digital format, so the problem would be the same. Unless you want to reveal people's vote, but democracies usually keep the votes secret.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and september 30th on: September 27, 2017, 07:01:32 PM
Nothing. Everyone knows that exchanges will close, so everything is already priced. Any action already took place some long days ago.

I think September 30th will another no event.
130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is PayPal now feeling the pressure from Bitcoin? on: September 27, 2017, 06:56:31 PM
Bankers wanting more customers(= profits) for them and more power over people(if they are in the financial system then they can be more controllable and they will know their finances).

To be honest I don't know if so many people going into the current financial system would be good or bad.
131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 27, 2017, 06:48:02 PM
Bitfinex already above $4100, when will other exchanges follow?

You rang?  4160

Standing on the threshold of possible reversal?

Is there any resistance before 4700?

edit:  Never mind - I see some at ~4400

The orderbooks change as the prices increases and so the charts, $4400 may pass without that much resistance.

My guess is $4400 and maybe beyond in 1-2 days then a fall because of some more FUD about exchanges closing on China
132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: September 27, 2017, 06:40:59 PM
Atletico Madrid - Chelsea

Atletico Madrid is unbeaten this season and kept clean sheets in fours of their last five matches, while Chelsea is very strong this season, with big wins, but against weaker teams.
It is hard to see who would win here, and since the previous two meeting between these two teams ended in a draw, I think draw is worth a try for the odds

Sorry but I have to leave because I don't want to become an ANN thread spammer
139  Economy / Services / Re: [ANN] [CARTAXI SPECIAL SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN] UPDATED!!!!! on: September 22, 2017, 05:55:19 PM
Is this right?

From this week on only posts in ANN threads will count and we need to make 60 of them every week Huh

Yes please

60 posts/week in the altcoin section might be possible but 60 posts/week only in ANN threads is not doable without spam
