121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After China, Now it's Mexico's Turn to Ban Crypto on: July 01, 2021, 02:38:45 PM
After the Chinese government banned the use of cryptocurrencies a few weeks ago, the Mexican government is now banning the use of cryptocurrencies in the financial system.
You are missing a point here, there was a ban for Bitcoin in China for years and they did not ban them recently as a payment system, if the Mexican government wants to ban the use of cryptocurrencies, either the people has to protest against them and challenge them in court or there are other ways to trade them.

Will the ban have a negative impact on the future of crypto? there are already several countries that prohibit the use of cryptocurrencies.
I do not think a ban from the Mexican government will have any major impact in the market. I am expecting many countries to come up with rules and regulations and banning them altogether will backfire .
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: another bullrun before 2021 ends on: June 29, 2021, 11:59:31 PM
Yes it was all money that came from hype and fomo through immature investors who took btc as a get rich quick opportunity but forgot what happened with it every time it went high. The parabolic run didn't end yet but it will not continue in a straight line drawn like it did while catching up $60k. That retail money will not come back again because they are now uncertain about btc's future move, something big is about to happen.
The institutional investors should be thanked here as they were the ones that help propel the market to new levels and it is not surprising that the market could not sustain to grow without any correction and that is what we are seeing right now and people are crying about the bear market which they clearly cannot understand the market.
I am expecting the market to rally once again before we enter the bear market and you will see the money returning in a few months.

~
They also contributed to the confidence of other people to trust the investments in crypto.
Sure it helped with the confidence of new investors who were in two minds and everyone who was watching the market should be well aware  that the market would rally after every halving and many took that opportunity and so is the reason we saw the market rallying much earlier than we saw in the last rally.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: June 28, 2021, 11:42:52 PM
Manny Pacquiao is already in business for over a decade. He definitely knows that and not that dumb not to honor it.
His camp is also preparing for a counter filing then it means they have some ammo against the other party.
But there are some things we didn't know and we are just relying on the information that the media is telling us on the news.
The question will be how much money are they willing to shell out for these court cases and the best lawyers attract huge fees and the reason Tyson Fury did not counter file anything and jumped into the fight with Wilder is that either they need to pay him big amount to step aside or they can fight in court spending millions to lawyers.

Paradigm Sports has the financial backing and they were part of the biggest fight in combat history and there is a contract in place from what i understand, so this wont be that easy to tackle.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: June 28, 2021, 11:09:55 PM
Bellator and PFL events are starting in few hours but big news is that Fedor Emelianenko is back again in fight scheduled for October 23 in Moscow!
Fedor is legend now 44 years old, with 39-6 MMA record, and Bellator is still looking for fighter who will challenge him, and there are a lot of names under consideration.
This will probably be his last professional fight in front of his Russian supporters in Moscow.
The legendary run by Fedor Emelianenko was when i was not a fan of the sport and i thought it was brutal and after becoming a MMA fan i started watching his old fights and the fighter that upset him when he was ruling the sport was Fabrício Werdum and he is also 43 years of age and a rematch would be great and i am sure it will big numbers for his last fight.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: June 28, 2021, 10:07:26 PM
~
In that case, that ain't make sense...you will just forget it.
If we are in the stage of addition, that means that we are not responsible gamblers anymore. Addiction makes it hard for us to think about what is right and what is wrong, we are mentally unhealthy, all thing is our mind is to keep gambling without minding how much we lose.
If they will not help themselves to change their mind and stop addiction, that gonna last forever.
The only people who could people anyone when they are addicted are family and close friends because every addict things that he is having control over the things he is addicted to, be it drugs or alcohol and when it comes to gambling it is still the same even when you loose huge amounts of money.

Even in online gambling space you will see many obsessive gamblers who does not know how to stop unless they loose millions of dollars.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why on earth do you own bitcoin? on: June 28, 2021, 09:15:47 PM
Whether it's profit withdrawal or principal loss, watching your money slowly being eaten up by the market is generally an individual's anxiety. The more we get to this point in time, the more I think it's important for us to ask, or for us to ask ourselves, what are you holding bitcoin or Ethereum or any other digital currency for?
There is no debate that there are some brainless jacks who does not know shit about trading jumps into a market hearing that it could get good returns and then burning their savings, this is all too familiar in the cryptocurrency market. If anyone who spends the time to study and learn about the market and learn how to trade will not end up in a loss  Tongue.
127  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Winter Is Coming, Warns Experts on: June 28, 2021, 07:51:51 PM
Analysts at JP Morgan and DailyFX claim that we are in a cryptocurrency winter. However, other analysts, including John Bollinger, disagreed. The creator of the technical indicator of the Bollinger Bands believes that Bitcoin has already recorded a price floor of $ 30,000.
Once i saw these news updates i was expecting the market to rally and it happened in the past 24 hours, majority of the markets moved up and whenever we see these articles about crypto winter from the so called experts i am expecting the reversal rather than following their stupid predictions and that is happening as i write this  Cheesy .

In addition to the downtrend, the Bitcoin death intersection pattern was finally formed on June 19. In addition, conflicting news with Bitcoin continues in China, which negatively affects the bitcoin hash rate. On the other hand, the interest of legal investors decreased. These are all factors that lead to a downturn in the market. Likewise, these factors can lead our favorite cryptocurrencies to a deep hibernation.
I would like to these experts today and really want to hear their comment on why the market is recovering after their detailed analysis of a crypto winter  Cheesy.
128  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Next 10 years of Bitcoin? on: June 28, 2021, 06:28:36 PM
What can we expect from the NEXT 10 years of Bitcoin? speculation in price? Will Bitcoin survive ?
What do you mean by survive, you think it will be getting a ventilator to survive in the next ten years Tongue, are you even following the development that is going on in Bitcoin, just check them out before getting into conclusions, Taproot activation is fast approaching and i am hoping we will have a rally when that takes place and i hope we will have that upgrade without much fuss.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do ordinary people feel afraid of Bitcoin? on: June 28, 2021, 05:09:01 PM
There are many reasons why ordinary people are still afraid of bitcoin, which is definitely because they do not have the knowledge and understanding of bitcoin and only know the risks without knowing the benefits.
The major reason why majority of the people is staying away without investing in cryptocurrency is because of the high volatility and that combined the number of scams taking place in the market and the number exchange hacks and most of the time these exchanges cease to exist after the hack leaving its customers dry and with all these risk involved majority will stay away from the market because the risk weighs much higher than the benefits it offers.

130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why meme coin is crashing on: June 27, 2021, 11:59:02 PM
Well there is a little incentive for us to make sure the meme coins die off though. Until then it is fair game. The average person will follow a lot of social media chatter and believe the best hype. So, if we at least market those things that people are going to spend their coins on, then it will help preserve the memes forever.
This is the way majority of the alts in the market is creating the momentum, shilling with the use of social media and creating the hype and so is the reason majority of the coins gained investors.

The only exception to this rule is where the coin is genuinely useful or is backed by a real-world currency. So for example, it wouldn't make sense to invest in a cryptocurrency that has a highly speculative blockchain with no intrinsic value whatsoever. If your blockchain is backed by something tangible then you have a chance of making money, but that's not the case with most crypto.
What is a genuinely useful cryptocurrency, the majority of the coins are speculative and there is no intrinsic value unless you could someone attract the investors to invest in them and if you are able to convince others then it will gets its valuation and that is how all the coins in the cryptocurrency market gained their traction.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will stable coins take control of Bitcoin as crypto adoption in the future? on: June 27, 2021, 11:28:11 PM
From a trader's point of view, I guess stable coins don't offer much because the price like you said is stable and bring no value in holding them for longer periods.
It is funny you have contrasting statements, you are telling that as a trader you are using Altcoin USDT or BTC/USDT trading pair which is a stable currency and you still think that it is not offering anything to a trader  Tongue. The reason why everyone is using stable currencies as a trading pair is to hold the valuation when they book their profit and when you are trading in a highly volatile market like cryptocurrency stable currencies are necessary and USDT is not the solution as we need more secure and transparent stable currencies.

Earlier most of my trades used to happen in the altcoins/BTC market but now I usually trade in altcoins/USDT and BTC/USDT so indeed stable coins are useful but not from a holder's point of view but as a payment option.
As i mentioned, to hold the valuation you need a stable currency and merchants might like a stable currency but they can always covert payment using payment processors instantly.
132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: June 27, 2021, 09:51:33 PM
I will admit that I enjoy keeping records of my financial transactions so I have a very clear idea of where every single cent went, I know this is probably something that not many people will enjoy but as I said it has its uses, also while what you say about people not remembering how much money they have lost in gambling being a sign that you have not lost so much money is true, there are cases in which the opposite is true, like those that are addicted and cannot tell you how much they have lost over the years because they have lost so much money they have lost track of that amount.
Keeping a record for all your gambling transactions does not mean anything if you are an addict, you will be having all the immaculate record about the loss and the amount of money spent whenever you gamble and if you are not making any decision changes then there is no point in having these records, the fact still remains that you cannot be a responsible gambler if you are addicted and it will be too late to admit the addiction. 133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: June 27, 2021, 09:16:39 PM
Pacman are not worried about the lawsuit, let's not make this a big hindrance because no matter what, the fight will happen and we will witness a god fight between Manny and Spence.
We cannot underestimate these lawsuit because i thought nothing would happen when Deontay Wilder filed one against a contract they had and with that Tyson Fury had to drop the proposed match up with Anthony Joshua and continue with the trilogy and if there is a contract you never know what the outcome would be.
I still hope there is nothing to worry and the fight will carry on as expected.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mircea Popescu died leaving 1 Million BTC behind? on: June 27, 2021, 08:23:52 PM
I doubt he had a million coins and there is no evidence that ever held that much coins and these are just claims and the headline looks great, even with his tainted reputation here and his bitbet which scammed some to the amount of 10 BTC and then the gigamining fiasco and he might have made a huge amount of coins through these activities but not a million coins for sure.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to the coins after your death ? on: June 27, 2021, 07:43:51 PM
In most of the cases when the person dies, his crypto would become useless if his family member do not know about his keys.

I do not usually tell my password or keys to anyone and i know majority of the people don't do this. We are being taught to keep the keys safe.
No one think that one day he will die and in that case, his family won't be able to use those savings (bitcoin/crypto) if they don't know the keys.
Also people won't like to share keys with siblings or wife because they can misuse them . So what could be the solution to this  Huh
There are many threads that discusses about the coins we hold after our demise and the most legit one is that you can write a Last Will or Testament with the help of a lawyer so that all the coins reaches our family after our demise and with the pandemic situation it is a necessary that we should do these if you are holding huge amount of money in cryptocurrency as you never know what happens in the future even if you are healthy and young.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: June 26, 2021, 11:54:38 PM
Manny Pacquiao @2.8.

I think this is the first time I saw Manny having an odds like that.

For those who want to bet for Pacquiao, you should pick it now as if there's a thing that happened on the way, like Spence committing small or minor injury during practice but decided to continue the fight, odds for Pacquiao might be lowered. Everything around @2 is a good bet for Pacquiao.
It is a really attractive odd for Manny Pacquiao and he was also an underdog against Keith Thurman and from what i remember he was an underdog in all the odds maker charts as no one expected Manny Pacquaiao to win at 40 and Keith Thurman was undefeated and this is familiar situation against Errol Spence and my heart says pick the best odds now but i will rather go with round odds than picking the winner  Grin.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Eth go below .05 BTC? on: June 26, 2021, 11:11:28 PM
Last time during the bull run when it breaks the wall we are saying that it has no ceiling, now that the market is bearish and everything is dumping, I would say, anything could happen, and it could dump even lower than our expectation, and yes it could go below .05 BTC.
I am yet to see this market situation as completely bearish even though he had a good correction from its all time high valuation but i would say that the rally happened from its previous all time high to the present all time high in a short period of time and the market is consolidating before we see another rally.

There is a possibility the traders would dump the alts and jump into Bitcoin if there is a rally once again in the next few months.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 26, 2021, 10:07:18 PM
West Indies dominated the match against South Africa, i thought 160 runs was a decent score with the bowlers they had but the West Indies batsman smashed Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada, George Linde and Reeza Hendricks and won by 5 overs to spare and just proved that they are the strongest team in the upcoming T20 World Cup and this will probably be the last World Cup for Chris Gayle and winning them will be a proper send off for the T20 King.
139  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This sh*t ain't for the faint of heart! 😭 on: June 26, 2021, 09:11:46 PM
You have to plan at the right time and invest. When the price crashed in 2020  it was repeatedly being said that then was the best time for everyone to start buying and some people never took that opportunity, maybe because they felt it was over for bitcoin or they thought that the price was still going to decrease further.
First we need to accept the fact that Bitcoin is here to stay and if we have that understanding then the risk factor or the pressure and anxiety when the price drops is minimal because you know that the price will always recover but you need to understand that it is always wise to invest during a market correction and even if the market goes down further all you need to do is to be patient and wait for the recovery even if it takes a few years.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 26, 2021, 06:40:51 PM
There is no reason to think that India has batted badly, anything can happen when two first tier teams play against each other. India lost all their wickets for 217 in the first innings, while New Zealand lost all their wickets for 249. Although India had a chance to draw. They could have played better in the second inning. But the Indian batsmen could not stand in front of Southee and Boult's extraordinary pace bowling.
From 62 for no loss in the first innings to 217 all out and 170 all out in the second innings and there is no reason to think that India batted badly  Roll Eyes. These are extraordinary performance by the New Zealand bowlers and the Indian batsman did not do anything to win the match  Cheesy.
If the Indian batsman could have played for half hour longer they could have saved the match.
