So cloudmining.website been around just over a year,
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=843417.0

Lets see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8

If they have crossed a year, they have already fulfilled their contract...

Quote
10.How long does a contract last ?

Duration of all contracts are minimum one year or the longevity of the miner, whichever is higher.

Source: http://www.cloudmining.website/faq.php

Well, that contract for their "customers." The early birds that got in when they started and now "contract complete" but the newbies..

They have over 130BTC to ether run off with, or payout customers. and since they do a ~3btc payout every Monday to over 120 customers they can keep this game going for some time..

And I don't see to many saying it but congratulations on selling so many sticks Sidehack.  It's great to see the community enjoyed this product, as it really is a fun product to play with and use.

Yes, i have to agree, Congrats sidehack, you did it! thank you for the entertainment of showing us the development and successful product.

Now we all wait for some company to pull its thumb out of its butt and start supplying chips to the public.

Lets see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8

they have a payout address, which following the payments back, looks like it come not from fresh blocks, but other people putting small payments in (0.005 here, 0.1 there), they have gathered over 130BTC so far.

https://blockchain.info/address/1LKW6fiftaQg8UPp32ptdgJW587XXCDk3p if you want to follow it back to correct me if I'm wrong

...and I cannot see a "get 350GH/s free when you sign up!" so 8 is out.
124  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Nov 11 to Dec 11 SIDEHACK compac stick pool club. New run. on: December 09, 2015, 10:23:09 PM
so, am i allowd to point my stick to the pool from the 11th ongoing?
just got a nice usb fan and already thinking about getting a 2nd stick before the 11th Wink

yes the plan is to expand from 40 to 50. members  start a new 1 month run.

if we get to 50.   part a prize of 12 btc / 50 = .24 coins  which is about 96 usd  it is  still the best chance to make money on sticks.

I will also continue to toss extra hash which as always helps the 1 or 2 stick guy out.

Tonight I am going to  start a new thread but it will be locked until the 11th.

And on that note, I have my stick ready to go, and i'll set the rest of my 3/400GH/s as donation for the month

Please include Miningsweden.se as legit  Grin

regards
lama-hunter

can you share detail about it ?
proof of hash power/ network ?
and about proof of mining hardware,,,? detail photo or something like that ?

So legit its got all the info and everything right there, just as much as the trust rating on that profile. Zero
127  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Nov 11 to Dec 11 SIDEHACK compac stick pool club. New run. on: December 04, 2015, 12:58:09 AM
I completely forgot about this! I'll have to remind myself to setup a stick or 2 to this pool.

Now since this is a monthly thing, do I have to restate I'm connected? or can I set'n'forget?
128  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [SIDEHACK STICK] Group Buy for Australia on: December 03, 2015, 11:34:51 PM
Any more sticks left for a fellow Aussie or have you run out ?

Sorry I completely missed you here! you should of PM'ed me!

I have 1 left of the 1st batch, I was holding onto it for a spare for the others if they had an issue with any of them dying, but if you want it, i'm happy to sell it.
there was not enough interest for batch 2, but if there is 2 more people calling up and there is enough batch 2 remaining (official selling thread states about 100 left) I'll look into it.

But, if you haven't already, contact Sidehack for a handful, He'd be happy to sell you some outright, postage would be more then off me though.

130  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: December 03, 2015, 02:30:44 AM
One of my sticks is now reporting "attempted reset got err:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS" after running perfectly fine for the last 3 weeks on ubuntu 14.04. Tried different freq ranges from 150 - 250 and directly plugging the unit into the laptop's usb ports with no change. Is there a software fix for this or is this a hardware problem? The other stick i have is running fine.

That may be software, what's the Diff:#? CGminer tends to reset the device after 3 seconds of not getting a hash from it.

for example, Kano.is sets diff at 1042 when you 1st connect, then about a minute later it resets the diff to something more usable from the miner so the miner is working on getting the bigger diff number, so it doesn't send data whist its trying to create the hash, then CGminer kill the connection and resends data to work on, giving you that error

sometimes its just getting a little to hot and the gives up for the day, I tend to pop them out for 30 seconds/minute then see if they still do it.

So, when you plug it in, and start the program, go make a coffee, it should be starting to go good by then.

i also get a "device failed to respond to restart" followed by "failure, disabling!" for COMPAC 0. it repeats this start up process for COMPAC 1, 2, etc until you kill cgminer-gekko but there's only one stick miner plugged in while i'm trying to run this unit. so no hashing is performed by the miner.

it happens, I assume you do have them on a powered hub?

about the other one dying: That happens when the Hub gets a spike of power required to boot the other stick in, the other one resets

you can tell CGminer to not reset the device buy going [ U ] SB management -> [H]otplug interval -> set it to 0 to disable.
I believe that should stop it from timing out, but CGMiner may just Zombie it instead.

now, if you are running a hub, it should be able to handle 2A each socket. Check to see if the hub is giving 5V to the devices, check the Grd and Vcore test pads on the back, it should be about 770mV if its about 600mV and you have not touched the pot at the front, you're not giving it enough power, give that hub more juice!

AJRGale and KingColex--

Thanks for the answer.  Maybe some person will donate a used S7...       --scryptr
That would be great but I don't see this happening for a bit with the high cost of the S7 currently.

SALVAGE--

Surely someone has a failed board with several good chips to experiment with.  A donation or a tradeable item?       --scryptr

its all fine and good, but i see it pointless without a viable source of chips. there is not enough dead boards yet to pull and test, and there is no stock available to the public. So in the end, even if sidehack put the effort to R&D'ing a system for them, there is no source pay for his time into this development.

Hate to say it, but he has to eat and sleep under a roof too.

Hi! Just picked up 5 sticks, excited to hook em up!

I ordered this USB hub ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OJ79UK6/ref=s9_hps_bw_g147_i1 )

Just wanted to confirm it will power up all my sticks correctly, as well as power a rasp Pi 2 and 2 arctic breeze fans...

Thanks for the help!

From what I can read, its only a charging station.. get that and 5 Y power splitter cables and a 7 port/5 port USB hub..
134  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2900 TH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: November 30, 2015, 06:05:40 AM
I'm not in a jet flying around the Bahamas sipping Martinis and telling everyone on facebook how things are OK even if the pool was getting shit orphan problems for days Smiley

Wait, I know which ones are for me, but who is this one directed at?  Definitely not me... I don't use Facebook and have never been to the Bahamas.

We must be in the wrong business...
I'll not hide it if it's not obvious Smiley
Slush Cheesy

Hmm... 40Ph @ 2% fee = ~$2k per day for him.  No wonder he's off in the Bahamas.

I'm definitely in the wrong business.

Oh Damn! I cant even pull that in 2 months!

Right, where in Aus can I get decent net to run a pool?! Also need to advertise too.. and maintain the ... Bugger it, I'm happy where I am!
135  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [SIDEHACK STICK] Official sales thread for everywhere not already covered on: November 30, 2015, 04:04:20 AM
1385 CHIP--

Any chance that there may be a 1385 chip design with single or multiple chips?  It seems Antminer is using fewer chips and higher clocks in their most recent S7 unit batches.  Surely the challenge looms big for your talent...  250GH/s from a USB pod should be tempting.       --scryptr

its been talked about before.. I'll just recap: Bitman refuses to sell any of the chips, so sidehack hasn't had any R&D time with them and cannot produce a production model.
136  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Has anyone use Kryonaut Thermal Compound on their ASIC's? on: November 27, 2015, 04:40:23 AM
I ended up using it on my S5.  Temperatures dropped about 3 to 4 degrees from whatever was being used on it previously.  I had one ASIC that was X'ing out.  It did it once after I applied the new compound but hasn't done it since.

Sorry I don't have more data, its my first miner and I was in a hurry to get it running. Smiley

Yeah, that happens when you talk on the forums, it could take Days for a response, makes it worse when you want it within the hour..

None the less, not bad temperature drop from just a simple item.

All we need to do now is make a phase changing liquid that creates, or moves a Graphene (or even carbon nanotubestm) latices across the gap of the source to sink.. that would kill any competition Cheesy

i was really wondering if these are the sorts of things that can be programmed eventually to do other algos - like x11 ...

ASIC = Application-Specific Integrated Circuit. the silicon is built for once purpose, SHA256D.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Application-specific_integrated_circuit

there is no available asic for x11 to what I know. If I recall correctly, there was a little hack to make Scrypt ASIC do some of the calculation of x11, I could be wrong, never looked it to the idea, it was just one of them things passing me in the forums here..
No I think the idea was a hack to allow an asic to do an scrypt N but you would have to be able to change the N variable in the end I don't believe anything happened.

This was a big one a while back multiple miners that turned out to be vaporware claimed to be working on multi scrypt algo asic.   Nothing ever came of it and it's just straight scrypt so far.

If anyone did manage it they did not make it open for public.  But considering how long ago people were saying they were working on it and we heard nothing in a long time I don't think even in secret there is a asic doing N and X11, etc.

Well there you go, it was bullshit I came across

Besides a new ASIC, I could improve buck-driver input voltage ripple isolation, and do digital voltage control, maybe improve LDOs. But I won't worry about any of that unless I get a new ASIC. Very likely I won't build any more Compacs after this next batch, of which some 180 are still up for grabs.

what can they mine? ...

id like to know how they work if you dont mind giving me a quick rundown ...

im a gpu miner - and have no real exposure to these asics ...

id be interested in adding then to thefarm if they are worth the effort and cost ...

tanx ...

hate to be the dick here, check page 1. it has every bit of information you need Wink

I do not care
I just want to know if there are going to be chip sales and if I'm going to be able to play with my own design based on this chips.
No answer from avalon team for the last 7 days.
No answer on their official site too.
looks like the same behaviour Bitmain and bitfury

I emailed the guys a few days ago, they said they have not got it on the plans for the next 4 months.
