I happen to be a white male (and straight to boot...please forgive me...I did not choose it) but I know plenty of people here in 'modern America' who are not white males and have a pretty decent life that they are quite happy with. So? I know plenty of people who aren't. Anecdotes abound, but data tells the real story. This system is causing pandemic depression among our youth. What kind of society tolerates that? If your experience is different then perhaps it is more of a personal issue than one which can be ascribed to deficiencies in our society. Furthermore, a wholesale change to something resembling your favored example society may not be sufficient to resolve whatever ails you.
