1201  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: March 07, 2015, 08:54:42 AM
The biggest problem with bitcoin right now is all the scams, in this forum for example 95% of ponzies are a direct scam, ponzi itself is a scam. A good amount of casinos are a scam aswell, altcoins pretty much the same, most of them are pump and dump some others are just shit. The exchanges getting hacked. All this doesnt encourage new people to accept bitcoins and its understandable

1205  Economy / Auctions / Re: Sr Member Account for auction! on: March 06, 2015, 04:11:48 PM
Well, I'm starting the auction then: 0.22 btc is my offer.

ps: do not give me any negative feedback because of being newbie, I want to use escrow.

Well... Looks like u won the auction.
Please pm me as soon u can.
Please...
WTF?
Are you high?

You don't even understand your own rules? It hasn't been 24 hours after my offer and you're picking me as winner.

Sorry dude, obviously you're not loyal to your own rules, so I withdraw my offer.

So you are mad because you won the auction? You seem to be a troll and your offer wasnt even serious

1207  Economy / Gambling / Re: BTC-JUMP.COM - Free Bitcoin Just Play The Game | Up to x4 You BTC | Bonus Reg. on: March 06, 2015, 01:46:42 PM
Send 0.00376865 Bitcoins (in one payment) to the address below.
If you send any other bitcoin amount, payment system will ignore it !

What kind of stupid system is this, OP?

So if you missclick a number the system will ignore it? Wtf is that, just make it normal like everyone else, that systems seems to be made only to scam people.
1208  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: minerslab big scamer on: March 06, 2015, 10:19:01 AM
You have to provide some information, what website is it? mineralab.com?? Provide some proof too that you indeed sent them your money, how much time has passed since you sent the money?
1209  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How are altcoins collateral on: March 06, 2015, 09:21:35 AM
I've been thinking about the same thing and you're kinda right - altcoins for collateral are... less than ideal. But the thing is that there aren't many good alternatives:
a) no collateral - legit borowers are drowned out by scammers
b) accounts - doesn't really solve the problem with scams
c) rl items - a little inconvenient in most cases

so yeah... if anyone figures out a system that would prevent most scams (you'll never get them all) while still being simple and fast  that person could make some nice money.

Accounts as collateral are good if you use escrow of course. Any other digital goods that are easy to sell and their value doesnt change much should be a good collateral

{ask 4 the key}

Do we literally have have to ask for the key? Allright, can I have it?
Or is this meant as a clue?

{} = clue

Maybe the clues seem really clear to you because you know the answer but for us they are not
1211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to bitcoin coummity on: March 05, 2015, 09:28:16 PM

1212  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1BTC - Bitcoin Treasure Hunt - Can you crack the code? on: March 05, 2015, 09:26:18 PM
Do we get unlimited guesses?

as many as you want, make sure you read the terms and conditions though!

FYI.
If you answer correctly and have not followed the terms and conditions, the next correct answer will be accepted (even if they copied your answer). If you do not want to claim the prize yourself and want to stay anonymous you will have to find someone else on bitcointalk that is prepared to claim and you need to work out a deal with them yourself.

If we can have unlimited guesses, can't we just guess every possible number?

Only 1 billion different combinations, should be easy to guess it huh

If this is allowed, I'll do it ^_^. There is probably a bot to calculate this.

A bot? What do you need a bot for, just count from 000 000 000 to 999 999 999 , the problem is how are you going to post all those numbers here? Did you think about that?
1213  Economy / Gambling / Re: Has anyone here ever made money gambling with BTC? on: March 05, 2015, 08:59:24 PM
Got around 0.7 btc with primedice from the faucet.
Ended up with 0 at the end though. I guess the house does always wins at the end.

I think we have found the problem...

Nobody quits when they are ahead. They keep going till the house wins.

Yep even with a 0% house edge casinos would still win. Ive never seen anyone come here and say hey i won 10btc gambling but ive seen a lot of people crying about loosing a lot

As the max number of postis 100per week but the max pay outs is obly 0.035 in a week for hero /.... how could it bee?HuhHuh

The 100 posts max is for newbies and such, for hero it would be 50 because with 50 posts you would get 0.035 wich is the max
1216  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to play blackjack 100% effective? on: March 04, 2015, 09:42:17 PM
Yes as i said before thats what i wanted, i knew someone had to make something like that, i just didnt know where to find it

The basic strategy chart changes depending on rule variations.

http://wizardofodds.com/games/blackjack/strategy/calculator/ asks you what rules you're playing and shows you the basic strategy chart for that particular set of rules.

It's still not optimal, because for optimal play you need to take into account which cards have already been seen - but it's not far off. It's possible to have a positive expectation using just these basic strategy charts and only using the count to modulate your stake size.

Well asuming you use a new deck or card each time there must be an optimal one
1217  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1000mBTC - Bitcoin Treasure Hunt - Can you crack the code? on: March 04, 2015, 09:39:23 PM
The possibilities to calculate stuff using the pictures are limitless though  Cool

yes but all the clues, have been given a few times. like i said, its a treasure hunt, just using quiz type questions is boring, because everyone has google, so it needs to be more interesting and preferably unsolvable by just typing a phrase in google, there needs to be a bit of good old brain power behind all the hashing.

imagine putting Alonzo Church, Alan Turing and Charles Babbage together, they would have probably solved this treasure hunt on the first day...

wouldn't you agree?
How would they know where were they going to die? Smiley you are on to something here...!!

My guess is "steveturk".
Or a number between 000000000 and 999999999...

steveturk - incorrect

000000000 and 999999999 - that depends on your definition of number

You are on something here you say. So it has to do with their deaths?

1219  Other / Meta / Any alternative to signing a message on: March 04, 2015, 08:24:36 PM
I saw a lot of people asking for you to sign a message with an old btc address to prove your ownership and i had another account and i wanted a loan and people asked me to sign a message but i couldnt because all the addresses i posted in this forum were from exchanges. Is there any alternative to this? Or any solution perhaps i should makr a photo now or something in order to prove my ownership of this account if i needed it later?
