I just did a test on the NHM....  And.. i am on the fence about using it.

strangely, it says LYRA2 is more profitable than other algos... which... hmmm....  But it was expecting an average of just over $2/day for my 1070... so IDK yet.

I think ill stay with my guns I have been working on for the next week or so and do another look into if its worth switching over once again.  Once I get back home from here, Ill put the NH miner on my Rackminer and let it go full-bore for 2 weeks.  Last time I did this... I was disappointed, and turned to mining solely skien on zpool.... and made an absolute killing.  I'm obviously on better/more profitable algos nowadays... and still see ~3.6mbtc per 7 days on the equivalent of just over 2 1070's.

My beef with the NH miner is you can't trim intensity.  I have one rig I use every day and thus, intensity is key as I do not like having to deal with the app closing, or worse forgetting to restart it (I packed and brought it with me 4 hours into the mountains where i've been working my ass off for the last few weeks).

Luckily here in Arnold;  there's DSL.... so I have a link to the net and I don't loose out on a 1070 of hashrate.

What a chump to have to bring a pc with you when you go out to the woods for several weeks Wink

Would that cause transaction ID to just be ellipses (3 dots)?

Time   Amount   Tx

Please read crackfoo's statement in the replies before your question... should be self-explanatory.

I saw all the buzz and traction coming, so I bought right at +25% and rode it all the way until now...  Went over +100%, then backed off... but its still close to +75% so I am happy

And how much is fee for this payment 0.0015 BTC?

No fee or deduction.  The pool covers it out of it's % share.

BTC gold futures at 290, I suspect they will hit 500 before the dumping starts

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-gold/

alot of money will be made on nicehash i think, either way this gives us something new to mine and a new competitor to BTC which is great

since its totally GPU driven

competition is good.

See Phil's sig "I see BTC as the super highway and alt coins as taxis and trucks needed to move transactions."

This is how ive always felt.  Use BTC for it's store in value, and alts for minor transactions.

Imaging using BTC to save, and BTG to spend... something along those lines.   The concept of TX fees will be nonexistent if you wished.
1206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: November 11, 2017, 04:57:19 AM
I just got a old card back from warranty and popped it into my mining rig, and everything broke.

Turns out Nvidia lists devices in a different order than the default in CUDA. they appear to be listed by port at the driver level and by another method depending on where you look. Probably by speed.  Look how "CUDA" and "OpenGL" have different default orders. even though when you run the query in CUDA actually gives you the OpenGL order.

Screenshots https://imgur.com/gallery/25dWT

This can screw you up if you are mining on a 2ndary card, your OpenGL based apps will just die, or only run at like 1 FPS.

You can fix it by choosing your primary card in the  Nvidia control panel OpenGL.

But as this pertains to nemosminer? You can reorder the cards in your bat file, so your mining logs and stuff are less confusing.

I figured out the order by mining on one card at a time and watching the temp in afterburner.
0)1080TI
1)Titan X
2)1080TI
3)1080TI

Note how my stupid Titan card was listed as device 1, even though its in 0 slot, and is GPU 0.

and add to the start of the bat file.

set CUDA_VISIBLE_DEVICES=1,0,2,3
powershell -version 5.0 -noexit -executionpolicy bypass -windowstyle maximized -command "&.\NemosMiner-v2.2.ps1 -SelGPUEWBF '1 2 3' -SelGPUCC '1,2,3'

Anyways, maybe this will save someone 2 hours of their life going WTF?

Now I can just run 2 copies of Nemosminer one for each type of card.

On several windows machines;  my cards are numbered by the order of driver install;  not of slot installed in.

So if you install a 960 by itself;  then add a 980;  980 will be #1, and 960 #0.  If you install all cards (different versions) at once;  and install driver (assuming they can all use the same driver);  they should be numbered based on the slot order the bios initialized them in.

Yeah I though about that , that i think is the best solution, I fan speed control unit laying , only problem with that is I have to cut and re-wire the box again and I dont want to do that again , its a pain messing with
that tiny  box.

Do you have a link to a cheap Variac unit that I could use that allows for up to 10A , 120V continuous ? Alot of the ones are only meant to be run for 2 hrs

Just get a variac with an outlet on it, and I am sure you should be fine...  just put it in between the controller and fan.

Most variac's can hold 10A no problem AFAIK.

Lemme pull up a ebay listing so you have an idea of what to shoot for: Ebay item#262487292564
Says it holds 20A... so should be plenty.

Just verify that your speed selected, still starts up the motor upon power failure;  or it could sit there and burn up the brushes if you have it set too low.

*edit* phil may be an option as well Wink

1208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: November 11, 2017, 04:32:07 AM
put a variac on the fan power lead to limit the voltage to the unit;  you can use the variac as a psuedo speed controller.  Maybe you can find a setting that's the right amount of flow for 100% on-time to limit starts and stops.

More fans specifically just circulating air into or out of the hotspots of the room will help keep it all equal as well

good afternoon, guys

I have a little doubt, what is the minimum payment that this pool can make?

I have a small balance stuck for months and I would like to know the minimum of withdrawals to contact a miner to help me reach the minimum threshold

PD, I know very well information is posted on the website of the pool only I want to ensure 100% since I will try to find some miner that reaches minimum required
minimum is posted on zpool.ca mainpage. current 0.0015

crackfoo, hello. Sorry for my bad english. What happened to my hashrate, why does it fall so much? I am mine on L3+. Its bad ping? Or bad day? I am from Ukraine. I check my ping to Zpool.ca its 11 - 20 ms. What to do?

The first question mark is just a dip in luck.   could be temperature, could be stale shares... it happens.

the second question mark shows on everyones wallet.   While the pool is doing important operations such as payouts, or DB updates, it will turn off the monitoring/data recording for that period.   If you look at your miner's history itself;  you'd see it would be online mining and getting accepted shares during that period.

http://zpool.ca/?address=1PHSDYvVp6HpqtuUPocK41DrdeHbbezaeP

Notice how at the beginning of the hashrate being missing, it's below the line, and when it resumes, it is above the line.

Instead of XVG (blake2s), they give me damn Taj. But I do not want Taj, I want XVG. And yes, I pointed out with = XVG

post your entire launch string (with only the first portion of your payout address) if you can.... many times this can be caused by a space or missing comma.

but if its ok, just log a support ticket and crackfoo will get to fixing the payout type asap.

I too am on Nemosminer and am looking for a way to insert a d= for specific algos...is that possible with his config?  It appears that this method will apply to all algos in that specific miner.  I also noticed that the codeing is slightly different in the EWBF miner vs the others...I was looking to add a d= to some of the algos in the ccminers to assign a fixed difficulty setting...

I suggest discussing this on the nemosminer thread, or on its github.

diff would need to be set per algo, which is complicated as the script builds the password for each algo from what i recall.
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: November 09, 2017, 11:59:52 PM
AC is a waste of electricity unless you have  free power, your exhuast fans need to be ABOVE your rigs not in at the same level and you  also need to make sure your room is somewhat presurerized

you can tell this by when you open the doors you feel the suction of the exhaust fans pulling heat up.

I have 30 rigs in my garage with only 1 of six exhasut fans going and my temps are like 30 degreees in winter, fall with three fans going like 60

semantics..... lol.  But yes;  exhaust at high in the ceiling as possible, and more is better.  Just keep adequate inlet CFM as well, and away from the discharge zone.... ideally, in from one side/bottom of room, out the opposite ceiling; and a few fans to keep the rest of the air in the room turbulent.

AC usually doubles or more the electric cost.  Its a pretty astronomical number.

Those cases I pictured are being retrofitted for outdoor use.   I will have one major exhausting fan on the rear case door, and a filtered input on the other door of each.  Ill work out attachments for managing heat away from the boxes if/when they end up indoors.

I need to be able to fit this format in my satellite systems for portability....  Cause I will have some odd space restrictions from where I'll be renting to expand the gorilla farm; but when rent is going to be less than $300/mo, which each rented space includes a 30-50A 220V power hookup....

I need not say more..... or rather shouldn't.... lol!

I mine the pool with MUE wallet on x11, when the pool solves MUE block  I get paid in MUE, but are you telling me you send all the other coins to the exchange?  I thought your pool calculated an instant value of what I am owed in MUE from the other coins and I get credited from the block solutions.  But now I am hearing you are sending the other coin block solutions to the exchange where it gets exchanged back to MUE?   I would think once the coins mature, you could pay the equivalent and then only have to send over a smaller portion of coins from each blockchain solution for conversion.

If you send all the coins over to exchange, then you should never have a shortage of coins as the exchange swaps them out and then sends them back.  Please clarify.
Pool only sends coins to the exchange to be exchanged into BTC. BTC is sent back to pool then exchanged internally with the miners of whatever alt coin block source your are being paid in. Hence, if not enough blocks, pool can be short.

It would be nice if the pool could purchase any coin from the market. Someone should see if MPH's code could be adapted for the yiimp framework (I also don't know if his exchange code is open source)...

This is exactly what makes it confusing for most people;  but its the only truly fair way to split the shares with the group that mined with you....

Hypothetical: Lets say you get paid out in doge, and you mine a bunch of doge blocks in your shares.   Your doge you will be paid with will come from your BTC split's worth of the next ones earned; not out of the coins mined, as they need to be sold to generate your share.   Later when the blocks are mined to pay you; you get current BTC rate of them instead of the blocks being sent to the exchange to be sold.

Since the pool code is based off of BTC;  BTC remains the counterpoint of the exchange/share process.

This is how I understand it for as far as I have researched.   I could be wrong, but I think I am pretty close.

I myself may consider an 8 GPU 1070Ti rig pretty shortly depending on how many weeks i'm up here working right now.   I'm across the state being a hired hourly person for several weeks.....   Just the thing I needed at this time of the year to get that extra bit of cash to go over the top once again....  I'm self employed, so that entails a lot of caveats...

My whole deal is I want to be able to fit the 8x 1070Ti rig in a 4U slot in my shipping case;  This will be perfect to fit in there with my rosewell, the internet/network server, and storage array (I got 2x SCSI Raid arrays populated with drives with both cases;  as they were originally each portable 16 channel TV live playback/recording/rebroadcasting stations... so im going to play with this fast storage media for a while)  Soon to be used to test the viability of a gas generator to fuel the operation so to speak.

This looks good. Wonder how much it'll cost.

However that integrated cpu is a little weak, I still prefer the version where we can use our own cpu.

My gripe with the board is 6 pin pcie power pass-through;  not 8... It's just two damned important ground pins for some cards..  and the pcie power in ports on the side of the board instead of the opposing side where cable management and getting the machines packed neatly around each other would be waaaay more enjoyable.   I bet the pandaminer users/owners don't like having the power supply plugs out the side like that... but to each their own I guess.

The board above that citronick posted;  I want to try myself sometime soon.  I like the format of it; and just the right amount of space to add more or less cards if desired  =)  But it's cpu capability is key as well.
