1201  Economy / Speculation / Re: ukraine battlefield bear market on: February 20, 2022, 02:13:04 PM
Just a little part of it but I doubt it's all because of it.
You cannot blame just one event when a market plunge especially in cryptocurrencies. This ain't the normal investment schemes that happens in one place but it's global and there's still a lot of people who believes in Bitcoin's future so they hold. Economic problems are also considered when an asset goes down. Check that out.

American mind? You mean the gossipers who receives news out of comedy central?

For 3 point contest, how about Karl Anthony Towns? his odds to win is 12.

I nailed it, Town won the 3 point shooting contest, that was a lucky break for me. lol.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/2022/02/19/big-man-karl-anthony-towns-wins-3-point-shootout/6866594001/

Sometimes, we have to take risks although the player has a lesser chance of winning, and just like what happen, the reward was awesome.
Great! Someone won! Congratulations. I thought no one will have a good news today because he was the underdog of the 3 point shootout.
He proved a lot of things today and suddenly he became a scary player that should not be left on the outside.  Cheesy I took a bet for Trae Young but his still suffering from downtown shots.
I did enjoy the skills challenge more and watching the home team with their big men doing their work. Good job for Team Cavs.
1203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter now supports Ethereum wallets on: February 19, 2022, 05:35:11 PM
It's just a tipping feature and it's nothing big. Why? Because the transaction fees of the Ethereum blockchain are still high so who would use it?
Before you even send someone a tip you will be in doubt to do it because of the higher amount of fees than what you will give. Giving a tweet a dollar that will cost you $6. I'd rather send that man $5 in Paypal with a $1 transaction fee. Right? That way he could enjoy it more than me thinking about how unfair the tx fee is that could've been on a that man's plate.
Perhaps someday it will be a cool thing when Ethereum goes back to normal.
1204  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your expectation on: February 19, 2022, 02:49:40 PM
I know about Russia-Ukraine geopolitical issue but never about Bitcoin. They are just connecting it to stocks and investments because it can react whenever there's threat to war or whatever it is about politics. Russia is against mining Bitcoin as it consumes a lot of energy and Ukraine are open to anything including the use of cryptocurrencies.
I don't really expect anything in regards of Bitcoin as I am more concerned about what would happen to the two countries if ever other countries will try to meddle with it.
1205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 19, 2022, 08:58:21 AM
I'd actually be interested in seeing a Warriors and Lakers matchup in the playoffs. The views would be insane and the energy would be crazy in both courts. When Stephen Curry,Klay Thompson,Klay, Kevin Durant involved in the game, you know its always an iconic game.. Cool

It will be very interesting game to watch , this are big teams that have wonderful players who are professional in basket ball.  So the game will be interesting and tough at the same time, their will be massive scores from the both teams, warriors and lakers has been my favourite teams  in the NBA.

If you are watching the Lakers, you will know how they are struggling, they maybe have a good name and a good roster in them but they are badly struggling. I won't even be surprised if they will not make it to the playoffs because they are not even in the top 6 now.
Yes. Their only chance is Anthony Davis and bad news just keeps on coming to them with AD being injured once again.
A playoff opportunity has now a lower chance for the Lakers team, might as well look for a different match-up like the Suns and GSW being in the conference finals or Chris Paul finally getting his first ring of his career.
Lebron got a lot of it and I don't think he will force this one, I want to see if Westbrook will try harder even though he is doing it already because he is the one who badly want a championship. And Melo when healthy.
1206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto asset prices weaken on: February 19, 2022, 06:43:20 AM
Its obvious market will go down i mean it will hit bottom again, most likely BTC to 20K and Ethereum to $500. Wont be surprised if it hits but it will bounce back to 100K again Smiley

Why are you so sure that the price of bitcoin can reach $20k, isn't it impossible for bitcoin to return to such a cheap price?
I'm sure the bitcoin price will drop by the most to the standard $30k and $35k as we've seen in the last months.
Likewise with the state of Ethereum.
It's always possible. But that event occurs whenever there's a great panic that is happening. We did witness that already from $60k down here so I guess what we are expecting is a buy back that is not happening just yet.
The right price, it's possible they are waiting for that and this is not yet "it". The deeper Bitcoin goes the higher the chances it will be the time for a bull run. We don't have any idea where it is so buying whenever a bear comes would be the best idea.
1207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 18, 2022, 06:11:05 PM
I hope not only on the bench but once he will start playing with the team. Embiid looks healthy and we can really see his real potential when he is healthy and does not have a problem with his knee, that was a good statement that they should be taken seriously as they are a real threat.
Well, he is a superstar, you can expect he will produce. The only crucial thing is the chemistry, since Embiid is the franchise player of the Sixers, he should be the one who will be the lead man of the team, and Harden has to understand that if he wants to stay longer to the team and if he wants to build a good chemistry.
Chemistry. I think Harden is not that hard to work with but there are just blanks that is difficult to explain. When CP3 was injured back in Houston Harden was suddenly shut off like he ain't stepping up his game whenever someone steps up for him.
I wish this will not be the case when a sudden bad thing happens to Embiid. He should remember he is also one of the stars of the leagues and he should begin acting like one.
He made a strong chemistry with Capela and that big guy knew whenever he will throw the ball at him or he will shoot it. That's some feat that takes years to master and yet they did it in a short span of time.
1208  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the difference ? on: February 18, 2022, 03:19:52 PM
There are lot of Bitcoin forks and Bitcoin Cash is one of them. Do not be confused by the usage of "cash" because it's nothing like that or whatever you are thinking. Actually, it might have been done in purpose to confuse buyers and there are lots of stories about it already. Instead of buying Bitcoin, they did buy Bitcoin Cash with the thought of having the right Bitcoin in their wallets.
Tickers will help in this cases. Bitcoin - BTC and Bitcoin Cash - BCH
1209  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC over 50k? on: February 18, 2022, 01:57:52 PM
It is possible. What is not with Bitcoin?
My thoughts. What comes down must come back up. Yeah, twisted phrase.  Grin That's one unique attribute of the Bitcoin market, it never stops moving and when it moves down consider yourself lucky and buy that dip, especially this big.
Now, if most investors have the same thought process then we should expect a big wave coming up. But I think they are waiting for another dip before buying back to maximize the profit.
1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 18, 2022, 11:13:06 AM
^^ Previously, they have Drummond to relived Embiid and play as center and he was really effective. And now that he is gone, for sure they are going to play small just like the rest of the other teams in the NBA.

So it's a good win for them, although I have the Bucks on this one to win and cover the spread, it was really a close and very intense game and that is good enough for me even though I lost my bet.

That was a good bounce back by the Sixers, they lose to the Celtics in a big margin and now they beat the Bucks at home, I already smell a possible ECF between the two teams and I can see the Sixers have a great chance to beat the defending champion.
The game was extreme and Giannis really trying hard to take the win. He even tried to cheat last minute stealing the ball while it was not yet passed inbound. Grin Embiid was just too much for them, Portis and Ibaka cannot defend him and in the end they tried Giannis but even so not enough to stop him.
It's a close game and if ever they meet in Easter Conference Finals it will be a hell of a game and we might witness game 7.
I guess Embiid is feeling better now that the Simmons drama is over and Harden looks happy joining in the bench.
1211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 17, 2022, 05:41:52 PM
I thought that the losing streak will continue but good news is that they were able to break it, the trade benefit them, Simmons has still not played yet but they are already improving, I hope the rotation will get better and the chemistry will improve. Can't wait to see Irving, Durant, and Simmons playing together.
It's obviously Seth Curry and Drummond that added so much contribution to the team. These guys are both defensive players and that's what is missing with the Brooklyn Nets team from day one. Sure their firepower are in a high level with the trio but when they are injured then they have nothing left to boast. I am glad their management realized that before they all sink down including all the expectation from their fans.
They have one more game today and they can prove how much of a change happened after the Harden trade.
1212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to detect scam token on Binance Smart Chain on: February 17, 2022, 03:46:15 PM
It's helpful, thank you. I appreciate the effort of going at this length to provide warning to co-investors in BSC projects.
I have my own standards when it comes to this, and I would gladly recommend for other investors to do the same so that you won't miss a thing and all stains will be checked.
1. Team. Very important for me. But some successful developers do explain why they cannot expose themselves like a threat because their place is not in a safe environment. You would have to try another approach if you will force them to do so. i.e. video call with an agreement to not expose them.
2. Locked tokens. Be sure it is locked and the span is how it is told in the whitepaper.
3. Item/Product. What is the purpose it? Will it really have a chance to explode long term? What is backing it up?
and more...
1213  Economy / Economics / Re: Why many USA senator against bitcoin? on: February 17, 2022, 01:22:15 PM
Fear of the unknown or fear of losing money straight in their pockets.
I don't see why they are so against it while Bitcoin had been valued for years. People will buy it and it's still their money which is going to be used for that purchase. The other concern I see is why do they allow digital payments which are also prone to be corrupted just showing numbers with nothing to back it up and they cost fees that makes you think about just going straight in the payment center rather than use their services.
1214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 17, 2022, 10:44:50 AM
What a huge comeback by the Brooklyn Nets, down 28 points against the Knicks, they outscored them in the last 2 quarters, specially in the 4th, 38-19 to win the game against their rivals.

The Lakers vs Utah Jazz had just started with the Lakers taking an early lead 8-0. Jazz has to call a timeout.
I heard from the commentator that it was the biggest come back of the franchise or I heard it wrong. I was about to give up with my bet for the Nets until Cameron Thomas starts raining shots in different angles and different ways. That dude also has springs in his feet. He can shoot even while defended well because of his flights.
There's so much skills on that Nets bench and they are being stalled because of the stars devouring all the minutes instead of a better rotation. Nash should realize it by now.
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: potential moonshots on: February 16, 2022, 06:05:10 PM
it feels like it because thats what it is lol and I'm not making it a secret. I think the entire crypto space is a gamble, just that the coins mentioned aboved, are less of a high risk investment. I'm looking to invest 5-10% of my capital into new projects with low market cap that could possibly go a 100x or higher. If the idea behind it is good, if it has a good team and the project looks promising then I'm willing to take a risk - why not?
What you are looking for is hard to find and maybe it doesn't even exist. If you think "gambling" it with a high risk project is the way then it's not. You are near to "rekt" your investment rather than making profits. I don't recommend any of that to anyone especially my colleagues.
Here we are in the pandemic and every penny should be spent properly. Even gamblers do gamble their money in a proper way and need to analyze the games they are in to while here you are who want to just throw money for a fancy coin.

Harden to make Sixers debut Feb 25

So, he will be making his debut on a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. I'm excited to see the result if Embiid+Harden will be a good tandem.
Oh that's near. Thanks for the heads up. I am not that excited but I do want to witness what they can bring out, will it be chaos or will it be a romantic story with a happily ever after at the end. I don't see Embiid as the type of waiting for Harden to finish his 100 dribbles per 24 second so I hope this will be a better duo than any other coupled with him. I thought Capela was the best to highlight the passing skills of him back in Houston but they broke that pair so this should be better with Embiid's length of skill set.
1217  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin failed to fulfill the purpose it was created for ? on: February 16, 2022, 01:35:21 PM
So does other cryptocurrencies.
Do you see a high percentage of merchants posting signs in their shops "accepting USDT, LTC, BNB and so on.." No. If Bitcoin fails as an alternative payment then so does the others which are rare to the ears of the population.
I don't think this is the right era just yet. But I do wish I will see it before I go or at least my kids will benefit from its real purpose.
1218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 15, 2022, 04:03:38 PM
~
76ers just lost two of their best players in exchange for 1 offensive that we don't know if he could really provide what the 76ers need.
Although I think Nets won the trade, Sixers able to let go of a problematic player to the club in exchange of someone who should be better at scoring isn't a bad deal.
Oh that! Yes, I guess that's also a win for them. Since Simmons is not even playing one of their games I guess it's also a win for them now that someone has filled the spot and the money they are paying for. Sorry, I forgot that fact.
I am not in doubt with Embiid's capability but Harden is whom I am more worried about with the history of not playing at his best whenever the playoffs is happening. But who knows, maybe Embiid will the one to push him in the edge to bring his A game every time they play.
1219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum whales bullish on Shiba Inu price on: February 15, 2022, 03:39:34 PM
The question is for what? I doubt it will be for a long term position.
Most of the investors I talked with are just buying the coin just for the profit and I am assuming this is what whales will do until the hype subsides.
As long as they see profit in it, they will not stop buying the coin and selling it back for profits reasons.
There is nothing behind it but all just for trading purposes and making money out of nothing. And yes, it is being manipulated.
1220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 15, 2022, 03:06:48 PM
Somehow we can say that its a good trade on their side since they got Seth and Drummond which we know that they can contribute on both defense, ofense and perfectly fit on the play they set so parting ways of harden will not totally a huge lose for them. And we can say that Nets is totally a strong team now. I'm just wandering if Sixers will be lucky for the addition of harden since they don't know yet if he will be the same on his rocket days also if he will sign again on his current team.
That's what they need, a defensive power. Seth and Drummond are the best definition of defense. While Drummond defend the players who are attacking the paint, Seth could give a hand at defending point guards which he is good at and we witnessed it while he was defending his own brother Steph.
76ers just lost two of their best players in exchange for 1 offensive that we don't know if he could really provide what the 76ers need.
I guess we will just need to see it at hand first before we could justify the decision.
