1241  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price hits the rock as Space X sells all it's BTC holdings on: August 29, 2023, 11:53:39 PM
If he was never using it I do wonder why he bought the BTC, what purpose did it serve for him.  Should a company sending rockets be speculating on commodities they have no direct interest in, its hardly the fault of BTC what the misguided ideas of the buyers may have.
Elon is bearish on the Dollar I suppose, well thats a hard argument to carry because its macro economics.  The idea of bearish dollar has been in play maybe longer then he has been alive, it has declined yet it remains here as the largest most referenced currency.  Elon has some good ideas but fighting over this USD forex play, fiscal deficits or whatever his personal take might be and expecting some profitable trade to result in a few years is not one of them.
1242  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 29, 2023, 11:33:11 PM

Since when does the US capitulate to some backwoods touristy island when it comes to charging criminals?

Its quite common for the country extraditing the criminal to specify no death penalty or other conditions that are aligned with their own laws in facilitating details during the transfer process.

BTC quietly closing today above the 200 day average day is a nice ending to the recent negative action.  Of course I may presume too much, one day is just 24hrs but every bit helps to turn the tide.
1243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is not going to $12k. on: August 29, 2023, 10:24:06 PM
A close past the 200 day average today seems to be likely and the average itself is rising.  We can hardly believe BTC is negative when such things are true, the price action itself recently has been quite negative but the wider framing to that movement is not yet fully reflecting this negative scenario as outlined by OP.
I believe we are most correct to assume BTC continues to fight on, it might be a messy fight falling on the floor sometimes but lets call it drunken boxing style and its still able to deliver these knock out days like today of about  6%.   In rude health I believe is the term Smiley
1244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Challenging the lows, 25.5k and lower possible break here on: August 28, 2023, 08:00:06 PM
Stable or the calm before the storm,  its indecisive to me and Im not sure which direction it will take especially.    I do take the point that higher lows are still indicative of a bullish market however subdued:

easily rebound above $42,000.
Im not sure of 42k this year but I find that more probable then making a new low or a low below that seen since 2022.   Autumn can be a rough market but didnt we already have that action already occur, if BTC is already tried and tested in its selling capacity then it may not move much further down.
I think our realistic range remains 24k to 32k until it breaks and proves some strength past either of those boundaries.   We are negative within that range but we are able to maintain prices above 2022 August and more recently February and that might be enough for now to hold and wait for more positive sentiment across all markets etc.

weekly bars, blue is 1 year and yellow is 200 week or 3 years 10 months  quite long term.  Both averages are rising which Im told is most important consideration.

1245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I will pass KYC later is a bad idea on: August 28, 2023, 06:13:17 PM
Ive had this in the past, I failed to see the company was reluctant to allow valid withdrawals.  After submitting a driving license and photo id they wanted an original birth certificate to be sent by post, something not originally asked for.   So even after having kyc it was never enough hence I had jumped the gun assuming I could withdraw.
The best solution might be arbitrage and making two bets on a game for or against, if you lose on the account you cannot withdraw from but win elsewhere this might equate to a withdrawal you cannot otherwise physically make.
1246  Economy / Economics / Re: Increase in stable coins adoption might just be the key to crpyto dominance. on: August 28, 2023, 05:56:50 PM
I'd rather bet all stable coins are due to fail, unless they are making enough money in the good times to cover the possible failures in their attempts to peg value to dollar or anything else.   They are using leverage and reliant on factors external to themselves, when volatility occurs its likely they are unable to stay perfectly stable.
My number one prediction is volatility is increasing every year, if true stable is a failed meta imo.  The actual news headlines do not matter as much ultimately I presume we lead upto the failure of a major currency standard and/or fiscal budget with its national debt; much like Greek debt crisis but on a escalating scale nobody can catch its fall.
1247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: August 28, 2023, 05:37:32 PM
Paying for magic and demons to win favor with the chances of winning a game is not one Ive heard of before but I know people in general can believe themselves favored or not so it figures for a game also.
The game running dry on a slot machine and jumping on is the old tactic of a barman I used to watch regularly take advantage of his long hours alongside a slot machine at a pool table hall.   It worked for him I think, sometimes he could double his days take home pay just collecting the money put in by clients who left.   Slots is a difficult one especially modern games because its not really fixed in its behaviour, my take there is 3 cycles of win/loss macro to micro ongoing to keep track of; everyone wants the big win of course and thats over a whole day cycle at least.
1248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could hit $100,000 by the end of 2024 - Standard Chartered - Surprised? on: August 28, 2023, 05:15:08 PM
Its not a good idea to call a move before its really in shape and under way on a regular basis.  It could happen is to state the news that isnt new, BTC would not be at 26k if people didnt already accept this reality.
The idea there is a strong enough bull market to produce any elaborated target higher is tenuous at the moment, it could happen so could a dozen other things and some of those are required first before BTC is likely able to rise such as a weaker dollar and greater takeup of BTC.  Until it happens they are manufacturing headlines and scenarios for the sake of their own publicity imo.

AI from what I've seen so far is mostly about enabling what is already possible but usually far more awkward.  The AI is a way for the plain masses of the population to access tools normally less available then it can provide via a search engine type conversational interface.
The other big point about AI that Ive heard a few times is you must remember the giant amount of data required for it to work.   Dont forget the computer isnt really super intelligent its mostly about resourcefulness to reference the data on tap it has; a giant reserve of data accumulated and formatted ready to use with the AI is the secret behind its magic.
Show me the data for the outcomes with gambling and I will believe it can be of great help, for card games this is often maths data and long established and known so I can believe that possibility as AI.  I studied card games as part of a statistics and probability theory course a quarter century ago and it was old as hell then, its still relevant now to be in any AI  deployed solution no doubt.

I will borrow a Singapore IP later and see what it says if anything.   Cloudflare is like AI kinda in trying to counteract all the nonsense with those who operate bots and other automated type distributed attacks.  Its impossible to say exactly which rule they may apply intermittently or who might be misusing that IP range for some reason.
I've not seen any general reports but always worth checking the tech sites for news; for years the average windows machine has been an open petri dish for every infection possible they do make attempts to kill off malware that spams but thats the origins of ddos afaik.

The RP reward is very nice today, its possible theoretically to claim now an extra 6 wheel spins with the RP.   I got good luck on my last attempts buying extra spins, winning back 450 rp or BTC on a dozen or so extra tickets each attempt, thats above what I expect most days.   Is anyone out there doing a hundred spins a day, trying to brute force an attempt at the bigger prizes; has to be a few doing this imo.
The end month price I would judge on a knife edge and I dont mean exciting, indecisive snail like actually infuriating imo.

1251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is not going to $12k. on: August 27, 2023, 11:59:22 PM
Any price can register briefly in theory with some low amount of volume, the bigger deal is how significant is that low volume outlier price towards actual mainstream volume.   I did guess that 2019 peak prices could now also register as a very extreme, then we lost the negative 2022 trend and it should be the case the low is in and proven so that possibility has passed.
In this current action once again people believe we can be tested to that extreme and a new low not seen in 4 years will happen so this is all very bearish.   My main point is not all prices are equal, the volume and confidence in the same price tends to vary alot; the low might only briefly register and be low confidence as valid.
Are we more negative in sentiment now after the interest rate rises and market falls, I thought the greatest negative would come in speculation rather then after the majority of rate rises occur.   The dollar and its index to the world via Forex and other trade is about as tough as its going to get, we are above 100 Dxy but imo its quite possible the Dollar can waver and lose 100 trading below.  If others believe that possible they are ready to buy alternatives to the Dollar such as BTC or many other commodity type assets that traditionally trade inversely.
I would not guess now a new low, thats my summary we are revising previous gains since the 2022 low but I dont guess there is another negative to do more then reduce our confidences, people arent especially wanting to sell imo.
1252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Doji senpai 👹 on: August 27, 2023, 10:14:34 PM
$26048 or higher is what Im looking for as Asia open approaches, really weak build today but a slight positive and its not my personal preference to guess on short term time frames especially the weekend.   However Sunday is the closing day for the weekly bar and its quite reasonable for BTC to attempt higher.    If we do fail to attempt higher in some way then its fair guess we will test the lower prices again.  These bottom prices are the Feb peaks and relate to almost a whole year of pricing prior to this years March where we finally got some more positive action; that action has reversed hence once again we check this lower price range as valid or not.  We're just knocking on the door at the moment, hoping theres no answer hoping the door is not opened to lower and all the monsters BTC must then fight to stay alive  👺
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: August 27, 2023, 09:15:14 PM
It will be funny as hell if a suspect in a criminal trial and possibly a serving prisoner in detention wins both the nomination and eventual presidency.  You couldn't make that up, this is peak memes no other section of history has been this ridiculous surely or not that we remember, maybe the Roman empire from some things I have read.
More important then the story headlines is that there is talk of excluding Trump from being able to run, disqualifying him via the 14th amendment if I remember rightly.   I think thats basically incorrect because its not yet a conviction.    I dont even think he ever goes to jail even if convicted, essentially he never did enough from my view point but in any case regardless they are far more likely to send him to house arrest as has happened in France with their former president over corruption charges I believe.

Thats alot of traffic, I wasnt thinking there are even that many active voters.  Often the turn out rate is quite poor in many countries, we discuss negatives in many ways but ironically all these headlines make for involvement of a larger section of society probably.   Democratically you want as many people to vote as possibly, who would have guessed it would be at the same time the entire process is called into question for its validity.     I think the numbers being high means we have no shortage of places offering odds for all candidates.
The other point I wanted to make is to exclude anyone as a valid choice at this point seems incorrect.  Obama and Trump share the burden of being nobody candidates, neither was especially long term valid in their lead up to being elected.   Traditional politics and the path taken to power is well laid down and in these last few decades been upset to the point anyone can win, thats my conclusion.
1254  Economy / Speculation / Re: Methods of Pull back strategy in Crypto on: August 27, 2023, 05:49:19 PM
Good stuff, the sell point can be a buy if it should exceed that potential resistance.  ie. comparatively the market is stronger then thought and exceeds resistance.   Its never for certain but I find TA most useful for giving a place and possibly a date for when most to pay attention.
For example right now we appear to be in some drift sideways, we lack significance or definition.   Im not sure where we will be more active, knowing the direction is almost secondary to being able to identify the trigger point for a move.   Alot  of people go off event news like some dude from the Federal reserve gives a speech, its hard to argue with trillions in command there but my ideal is something more natural developing.  Right now I dont have high confidence except perhaps just by labelling the boundaries of some range, 25k below for example.
1255  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price, Where Next on: August 26, 2023, 11:59:15 PM
Its caught near and pushed below the 8 day average currently is what I roughly call a weekly average and just above the lows of the last sell.  So it will be squashed between those two outcomes, breaking up or down also BTC just carries on sideways quite often regardless of expectations.   Exclude the higher action after March 16th and consider the highs for almost a year back to July 2022 and you have the price that must serve steady as support now or we will go lower and BTC will have to prove itself worthy vs selling at presumably much lower prices.
I didnt think of BTC taking up a path lower but its the charts reflecting the market action is the opinion that matters not my own bias and ideas.   I went to weekly bars and draw a line between the most common prices closing weekly in that last year and price I got in common was 24387.  Its not that far from here and I did mention 25k is the area we'd be doing battle if we slipped at prices further above and so far we're slipping.   Till we prove otherwise and find strength in a foothold, I guess we slip.  The dollar index is not resolving downwards, it continues to threaten higher.
1256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: August 26, 2023, 11:27:25 PM
I am not sure whether a gambling addict can ever become a successful gambler.

Its a contradiction, well said really.   If the gambling is controlling the player then by default unless very lucky somehow the gambler will be paying for games and not gaining but paying out to others, other winners and the casino themselves.    Successful suggest someone who has mastered the path of luck and avoided the pullback of losses to regularly gain, that could be skill or I think some good money management could achiever this.
In short, a successful gambler is just a rich person and thats probably what most would think of first.   A proper addict will win and in any case give it all back not knowing when to stop.
1257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does Nvidia's Result bring a positive impact on Bitcoin? on: August 26, 2023, 08:36:35 PM
BTC isnt mined on Nvidia or any other related cards for a while now and ETH made a break also and is not proof of work anymore.   There is some relation in technology and the general advance of smaller nm manufacturing proces being available but Nvidia doesnt especially care about crypto so far as I know.   The company overall has moved past relying on the home pc graphics business, that section is just one of many.
Nvidia is advancing for the same reason a company like ARM is popular which is general usage by every part of the global population.   AI in various forms is thought large enough to be on the scale of mobile phone tech is the big story.  Crypto is only small print detail within that, still of importance but not directly imo.
1258  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold , Silver Or Crypto? on: August 25, 2023, 11:59:28 PM
I concur Cheesy   silver is industrial for example  this is my main take away from considering this market.  It can be the best performance of all three by far, but its heavily reliant on that industrial demand.  I have high hopes for silver still as it is related to Solar panels and this tech has developed greatly and is favored for usage by almost every country its only the cost of building and some connection to the grid that impedes further usage of solar.   Massive advances in that technology since the 1970's, many orders of magnitude more efficient.
Silver can also be a monetary metal, its multi purpose but for now I think industrial and its supply is alongside lead and also gold, commonly a company will mine both.  Gold is seen as monetary but we know jewelry also and again gold does have usage for industry as an element sometimes nothing else can do the job just as well.   So yea they are all unique, I have some holding in all 3 though I might be most biased to crypto as I think digital is the most adaptable and fast growing tech hence crypto too has great prospects within that.
Im bullish on tech generally for the reasoning its so pervasive in countries which otherwise are not fully capitalist, many countries are greatly protected with border controls on the free flow of goods.   Biggest example would be the EU for example which wont allow free trade across its outer borders only within its member states; my theory is tech passes through these borders like modern day osmosis its able to find a way for people to do business.

Singapore is a super rich country, I doubt they would idly block them unless required.   Might be its automatic and that particular range of IP has been highjacked possibly, if there is layers of defence vs attacks and some of that is 3rd party then its not always going to be clear where the stop has been applied.
I always say just try another browser if there's a problem but that's just the simple advice for the most common problems.  It could still be relevant as an easy answer in this case also, Opera browser for example has a vpn button on the address bar and just takes seconds to alter your circumstances some.
1260  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Crash may take bitcoin to 1M dollar on: August 25, 2023, 07:43:39 PM
Anything obvious should not equate to a crash, a crash is when the market fails to anticipate an event ahead of time hence the sudden changes in price.   What is confusing some is the crash and boom effects can mirror each other, if currency does degrade alot it can mean less debt burden on those who had owed money in that currency.   Its not straightforward but best described as volatility or ongoing uncertainty in pricing; this also is not a positive as business requires stable prices in order to distribute and plan the sale of goods best.
