1261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Disadvantages of Gambling on: February 24, 2019, 10:16:40 AM
Disadvantages of gambling are huge and can't list at once. People lose huge money, waste time, energy and bevome desperate at one point. Most people avoid gambler and as a result he becomes alone too.
The most and worst disadvantage of gambling is, after huge winning among fellow gambler in casino, those set who are not happy with your winnings may plot or plot to kill such successful gambler just to recover the gains from him/her. The chance of getten been killed are there.
1262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1000 Bitcoin: The World's Most Expensive Prius on: February 24, 2019, 09:49:23 AM
If I'm not mistaken, at the end of the video he said how he got the money to buy that prius. He borrowed and made money out of it, so he bought a car from that. So basically, he said he didn't regret buying it because it's like a freebie from his loan.

Yes, at the end of that videos the guy showed high level of smartness as he got the money invested from borrowed loan. Actually he should be commended, instead been seen as impatience fellow. Borrow without debt incurement in this industry should be praise, he could have bought Lambo according to OP but still utilize his opportunity.
1263  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin. What is possibly happening on: February 23, 2019, 08:40:16 AM
For quite some times now bitcoin has been stable, so I am expecting some positive move in few months to come
As at today Bitcoin price is appreciating as fast compared to what year 2018 brought to us. Believing that the market soar as the year proceed, so, lets be expectant because 2019 is a bull run year for cryptocurrency enthusiast to grab their shares.
1264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: J.P. Morgan 2017 - 2019 on: February 23, 2019, 07:57:00 AM
J.P Morgan has the right to earn his opinion and we must not blame him for his views from 2017 to 2019. At first he hate the cryptocurrency and now he changed from being a hater to a lover of cryptocurrency, so, let him join the wagon and lets drive along with the crypto-community.

1266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible sending BTC without a transaction fee? on: February 23, 2019, 07:19:43 AM
I would know if it is possible to send BTC without a transaction fee regardless of theoretically or practicall..
There may not be zero transaction but there will be a lower transaction fee which depend on your time zone. Most at time, my transactions are based on my time zone UTC 6 PM then i enjoy minimal fee transaction at this particular period of time. You can enjoy this as well if you can check for your time zone.
1267  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee Predicts The Exact Date Of Bitcoin Reaching $1,000,000 on: February 22, 2019, 03:04:44 PM
~snip~
I agree with you that even though it is from him, it is certainly too much to expect such a price in less then 2 years. Motives for such statements may be just in the fact that he will not be alive at that time, or that he has some information we do not have, in the sense that something really big is going to happen before the end of 2020. I just think he is not count on next halving as something big Wink

Potentially Bitcoin cannot go beyond $150,000 if put into consideration since inception ATH.

Though if he's thinking toward the halving he just made another blonder error because that could be so much expectant of the crypto-community, according to the date he pointed out which was December, 30 2020, maybe he's full of expectancy to the halving. Fingers across to see his dream coming true.
1268  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: “World’s first unhackable device” on: February 22, 2019, 02:22:16 PM
A good thing to hear about crypto news that has a good benefit to all crypto enthusiast. It's a good thing that there is a device that is unhackable. But i further think that hackers now are making a way on how to deal with this device or to hack it. But hopefully this would be unhackable.

Nothing under the sun is said to be unhackable. Security companies have been hacked many times  around the world even the giant of them was hacked, though time is the strength of a hacker because he/she device means of penetration. Have seen series of hack-life and have come to a conclusion that nothing is unhackable except you and your device be ignore .
1269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung confirms the rumor! on: February 21, 2019, 04:23:13 PM
The tech giant has made a bold step into the world of cryptocurrency which we are excited about but there are questions we the crypto-community should ask ourselves which comprise the following;

What are the security measurement put in place to protect crypto-coins from hackers?

Will they have access to crypto users private keys?

Will they allow third party software installation in the nearest future if not been in used?

How save will crypto-community data be assure with Samsung without government interference?

Comrades, please let reason out these questions carefully because i can see some pits ahead of this giant stride from SAMSUNG involving into cryptocurrency world. Though am proud to be alive to see the fast movement that will enable cryptocurrency to go viral in a short time from now, kudos to all Bitcointalkers for this achievement
1270  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk is Dying? on: February 19, 2019, 04:16:17 PM
I agree that the forum is dying and people should abandon paid/incentivized signatures.

What? come on don't be bias toward paid / incentivized signatures campaigns, then for what reason will the forum be?. Though can't see the death or the dying you are seeing but be rest assure that Bitcointalk forum is more gallant and vibrant compare to all other crypto forum around the world.

Very soon there will be a major rise in traffic because the market has just began another positive move which i strongly believe will be sustain for another ATH. Also, it might interest you to know that next year is Bitcoin halving which is likely to take place between May/June 2019 so, expect many more visitors to the forum very soon.
1271  Economy / Speculation / Re: A chance for Bitcoin to rise! on: February 19, 2019, 03:49:23 PM
if you are still here it is a very good thing or action, and I also hope that bitcoin will recover again at a high price and we are waiting for it.

The beginning of year 2019 has been a good one for crypto community. Bitcoin has the chance to rise because of the good news coming inn just few days ago.

Does this has anything to do with the JP Morgan's coin? just curios about what tend to Bitcoin rise. Is bitcoin rise associated with the reply John McAfee replied JP morgan?
Then what does you think is associated with this rise?

Opinion are highly welcome!!.

1273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can REGULATION Really Be Beneficial to Bitcoin? on: February 13, 2019, 04:47:56 PM
Bitcoin has no room for regulation which was the sole aimed of it existence as a decentralized entity. The mainstream of this technology which is Bitcoin was built different from other currencies, that's why its anonymization will reject REGULATION from the government no matter how hard they push. Regulation will be applicable to other cryptocurrencies outside Bitcoin because other currencies has their CEO unlike Bitcoin with a faceless CEO.

But regulation will bring in institutional investors and there will be high in demand which will course the price of Bitcoin to soar. Just my own opinion.
1274  Other / Meta / Re: Account security improvement: e-mail confirmation to change password and mail on: January 28, 2019, 11:24:08 PM
To improve the security of our Bitcointalk accounts it would be a good decision to allow password-changes or changes of our current e-mail address only if we have to verify a confirmation mail which is send to our current e-mail address.

I'm sure that will help to prevent many hacks. If we set a confirmation e-mail as requirement the hackers need access to the Bitcointalk account and the e-mail account. Right now, a hacker needs only to have access to the Bitcointalk account and he can change e-mail address and password without any difficulty and lock out the legitimate owner.

Is it possible to implement such a feature? I would really like to have this additional security measure to protect my account from hacks.

Although there had been many account hack recent times in this forum and issues concerning security had been discussed extensively and groups has been set up for account recovery ..etc.

This suggestion looks pretty good for another level of security to the ones already out played which has not actually given lasting solutions to the issues of hacks in the forum. Theymos should take a look at this suggestion to see if its possible to move the security level of account protection a bit higher than what we have on ground. Just my personal opinion!!.
1275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some people refuse to accept bitcoin? on: January 16, 2019, 05:02:54 PM
I think a lot of people are scared by its price.
If you accept a BTC payment today, you could potentially lose 10/20% of its value in few hours.

Forgetten that you could also gain as equally your lose. In my opinion many potential investors are scared of bitcoin just because of it legal frame work yet to be activated by respective bodies in concern. When this is done i believe that many people who were afraid to accept bitcoin will join happily. Others refuse to accept it because of bitcoin lack of usability in the real world, example be use as a mode of payment in companies for salaries and wages of workers in the real world, this very soon will be solve by this mainstream manifestation of the blockchain technology.
1276  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptopia Hacked. Will BTC Crash? on: January 15, 2019, 04:33:12 PM
The price of bitcoin is still moving sideways so it is safe to say that it has had little impact. I think they only took ethereum so that might get dumped rather than bitcoin
Even with that Ethereum will not be dump because of the range of stolen Ethereum in the Exchange. I have critically viewed the Hack as an attempt to distort the upcoming Ethereum HardFork which will not happen base on ETH amount stolen from the Exchange even at that level Cryptopia Exchange is a small type which haven't such powers to distort the BTC to crash nor even the ETH itself, so, nothing to worry about.
