481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Normal Game Setup - a success or a failure? on: October 18, 2020, 02:52:58 PM
I don't care if it is a success or failure. The things is that ww should be thankful that the sports are resumed and we can watch the sports we love to watch. Players have to follow instructions to follow so that they will know if the players are healthy and ready to play instead of no sports are continued.
Come-on, it has been a success because during the covid-19 period none was able to envisaged what could be the fate of leagues around the world. I was very excited when I heard about the new game setups, so far so good, the leagues have been doing well and the pandemic under control with the world best practice irrespect to covid-19. The only stuff we're missing right now in the ongoing leagues is the cheer-up and chantings on stage, hope we return back to the old days.
482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you read the TOS of a gambling site? Honest answer please. on: October 18, 2020, 02:15:37 PM
Well, am not a lawyer, i have limited time to read every bit of TOS in gambling websites. Apart from the gambling websites I care little for others because I mostly have little to lose. Sometimes the TOS of gambling websites looks bogus for my liken, and with my little zeal and patience for myself in terms of reading I only read few lines that  burndered on deposits and withdrawals, also, on their restrictions for countries.
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: btc vs ethereum on: October 17, 2020, 09:00:57 PM
What's important is 'dorminance' among the cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin has been the most dominating among digital currency. Also, the global well known digital currency is Bitcoin and not ethereum. In terms of coins circulation supply, the most circulated among the two cryptocurrency is ethereum while Bitcoin is the  list in supply, so, Bitcoin will be more valuable than the second.
484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greatest Gambling Losers on: October 17, 2020, 10:08:08 AM
Having a loss in gambling is a normal thing but not learning any lessons from it will make you lose more from gambling. Sometimes gamblers become greedy or sometimes emotions come into play which is the major cause of loses in gambling. Gamblers need to overcome these things as then only there will be more chances for the gamblers to win.
That's very true. Greed is often the reason for huge losses and only Self control can help us overcome greed.
Having self control is key a concept in gambling because that is what helps us control our losses.
Many gamblers are incapable of this and end up losing more than they could afford. It is the Greed that overcomes their capability.
I have myself encountered losses but I try to control myself from over gambling and this certainly helps me to limit my losses.
Well, greed is always a part of the gamblers. From my little years in gambling thousands of losers are those who can't shun greed while gambling. Sometimes, greed can be to the advantage of the gambler but mostly sometimes end in disadvantage. I have made some good greed while I ended up in advantage, still remember that: I was able to make closely $100 profit back in 2019. Though, this was purely base on luck and not on my skills as i can remember. Conclusively, having a greed isn't bad but ensuring to have self control over your greed.
My greedy nature will always exist in people who gamble but I think if you are greedy you will experience your own losses because sometimes you cannot control our emotions and are affected by the conditions of the gambling place which ultimately make us addicted and have difficulty getting away from the gambling place, even though You have been able to get as much profit as you have mentioned, but I am sure that at this time you are having difficulty getting that much profit again because the gambling place will always be improved the script so that it will be more difficult to win games at the gambling place.
Been greedy don't actually give addiction in gambling, what has lead thousands into addiction is lack of self-control while gambling. Am a self-control gambler with a difference and proud of myself indeed. As you pointed out, greed has lead me into losses but was able to contain it with the help of self-control. Well, gambling addiction isn't a death sentence or something difficult to get off , just with a little self-control it will be overcome. Sincerely speaking, the gambling industry has upgraded and still upgrading which makes it difficult to win, though there are winnings but not as before.

486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: https://funxbets.com Scam?? on: October 17, 2020, 07:54:42 AM
The newness of the gambling platform IMO can be a resemblance of some exit scams that has been reported in the past. Why trust any gambling platform without a good review and reputation? So, gambling on such platform's should be a risk take on the side of the gambler. Seeking a deposit before withdrawal looks shading and untrustworthy, so, gamble with care.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is DeFi over? then old coins revolution ? on: October 14, 2020, 02:51:16 PM
I see DeFi projects are over, as same what happen to ICO before.

Nope, the DeFi projects are still much available in cryptocurrency space because we're tiring about this technology. Without any iota of doubt, the defi ecosystem is much yet to be exploited by good project developers in the industry. The ICOs days were not matured days with Bitcoin compared with the defi days when Bitcoin has been 10+ years in existence.
Quote
Will we see old coins revolution?
i'm talking about old good altcoins as like Eth, EOS, LTC, BCH, XRP..etc

These aforementioned coins are still much performing well with the system, so, there is no issue either we're going back to the old days or not. The cryptocurrency ecosystem need to move on with good new innovative development than still romancing the old and expiring technologies in the industry. We need more of improvement in what the older coins stood for than romancing them in their old age.

what do you think?
is there any chance for DeFi tokens to bring investors again?

Defi tokens has showed their potentials months ago, they where able to bring new set of investors into the system but the issue is: will this be sustain? unlike what we had in the past during the ICOs, when investors went in numbers into the industry and later regretted their involvement when the system
488  Other / Politics & Society / Re: EndSARs: The movement for police reformed as a result of police brutality in NiG on: October 13, 2020, 12:56:34 PM
The Nigeria government is not serious towards her citizens when we talk about the welfare and wellbeing of the people they govern. The protest to #ENDSARs won't be feasible but can be rename to something else, like "arm robbery squad". Police Reform will be tough decision any government can take when talk about a group (any armed force) which seem to be a critical arm of the Nigeria Force. It has been over due for this reforms in the country but some groups in the power of corridor won't allow this because of their selfish interest. For your information, Nigeria is be rule by the Military indirectly even in thus era of democracy.

The youths shouldn't clamor for the #endSARs but for reform of the entire system of the Nigeria Police Force. Although, am not a Police Officer but have worked with them and also engaged them in several issues. They were trained and still be train with the Military mindset and not like any other Police Force in the world, the Police system in Nigeria as we talk isn't good for a country, we need a reform of this system for a better policy.

Though I live in Abuja municipal area but haven't encounter any form of harassment from the said group or from the Police. This doesn't mean they're not involved in what they are been accused for. Taking undue advantage over a civilian because of the uniform should be condemn and reject irrespective of the armed forces. What we need is a general reform in the Nigeria system of governance but this will be one step at a time. We're heading towards that, #EndPoliceBrutality to save lives.
489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin truly moving forward? on: October 12, 2020, 04:22:09 PM

Source
Bit is a game of accumulation and not what you and others sees it. The graph above has something new for you and some others while they complain about Bitcoin price fluctuations since it existence, the moment you see Bitcoin price from the point of accumulation the better it will for you. Though, i have been into this industry for quite sometimes now, and have once thought about this until i took a critical look at Bitcoin behaviors.

The weak hands will always be victim of Bitcoin behavior when it come to price movement and the only thing you and others should see is potentials while hold. Buy Bitcoin at this moment and wait for it price to rise will do more miracles than the weak hands most of Bitcoin holders have since inception
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to move on if you've failed to meet the due date of a bounty campaign on: October 11, 2020, 06:12:19 PM
I like point number 4 which is about YouTube content. I am one of the full time bounty hunters or can be said to be active in this forum. And of course I don't depend on just one point, I keep trying to do my best from one point to the second point to the next. at least to my limit. I'm constantly looking for ways to earn passive income in the crypto space other than as a project promoter. and it taught me to continue working without complaining under any circumstances.
But it seems you are wasting your time for nothing, no matter how hard you try the chances are less for you to make money and its really not possible to make constant income from the bounties.So try to learn other methods of earning apart from the bounty hunting.
I disagree with you mate, engaging in bounties doesn't seem to be a total waste on the part of the hunters, because there are series of ways to earn handsomely from doing bounties(different types). Yes, I understand the problems facing the bounty section of the forum, scam projects everywhere which sometimes ends up with nothing as reward. But, still are there good projects with good pay for Hunter's, doing YouTube and writing articles will be the best option for any bounty hunter and not just doing their social medias.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s next for Libra? on: October 11, 2020, 05:51:38 PM
It's been a long time since I saw any new development update of LIBRA and the last thing I read was they will create their own country based stable coins to get past the regulatory issues they were facing.
Grin that's quite bad though, basically the regulation wasn't friendly with the project called Libra because of their operations in the past. Currently, they're redesigning the project Libra for a single currency compared to their initial multi-currency stablecoin also, they building a better framework for Libra payment system in compliance with the regulators. Hope to see them come out of this hurdles to build a better digital currency.
492  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't reply to private messages from unknown people! on: October 11, 2020, 03:43:50 PM
Not just forum, I made a mistake of using email for airdrops and I literally receive this kind of mails daily, either from the ones who got cancer and want money or they got cancer and want to donate me their money. Reading these gives a good laugh nonetheless.
Sincerely they're not harmful when ignored or report as a spam. Series of them had been in my inbox without any attempt to open because of their act of flooding the inbox the more. Though, some of my mails already bartered with spam has been disbanded which I thought should be the best option too.

The only risk they post is: some of their sent links contains harmful  viruses like Trojans among notable virus which can be avoided through outright abandonment of the affected mails.
493  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'm broke in real life. I lost most of my money. on: October 11, 2020, 03:09:22 PM
Haven your money lost and get broke isn't a yardstick to get involve into illegal activities as mentioned. Life itself isn't balance dude, and we should take the right steps in fighting our ways through the hard times(we all went through this). We were once broke, even the rich also get broke too, but getting the right source out of the shit is the best strategy for mankind, so, don't be depress, shake it off because it doesn't ends well.

Nothing works wonders like a focus mind dude, getting the needed focus should be the right option for you than doing otherwise. As others have encouraged, kindly get yourself together and make positive move towards achieving your goals. Being IT base individual, you're half succeed in the world of crypto, get involve into a good crypto project to have your finance life back on track. Wish you good luck!.
494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites accepting bets from countries where gambling is illegal. on: October 10, 2020, 08:56:35 PM
Why would you want to pay when there are alternatives gambling sites that allow you to play, I have see the thread about Cloudbet and it's not really good, I'm not a high roller and always to be on a safe side so I will not even think of uisng  VPN just to play even if the gambling site is attractive.
Then, you're not a true gambler IMO, getting into gambling alone is risking and anyone who choose to gamble in any level must learn to take any form of risk for that purpose. I have always said this: gambling is for the risk takers and not for the swiftly but the industry still accommodating both the strong and the weak. In my past years in gambling, I have taken high risk and came out strong from all, this has actually made me stronger than I thought; 'risk is everything in gambling'.
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting vs Real "Sports Feelings" on: October 10, 2020, 07:49:08 PM
I think a fan of a certain team follow it because he is a real fan and not because of gambling.Rarely I have seen fans that are fans of a team because of gambling.Surely there are these type of gamblers that watch the events they bet on but they are not real fans.I personally follow my team in every game they play and I rarely bet on them.
There are a lot of fans like you, rooting for the team on every game even if they are not betting. Because not all die-hard fans are gamblers. But for many gamblers as well as fans, they not only bet on their favourites but even on their opponents as long as they feel who is in the advantage for that particular game.
Well, myself as a gambler I do sport betting according to my real life feelings almost all the time. I have in some occasions choose what doesn't seem feasible but with real feelings for a particular team decided to go the other way. This might be unethical when discusse sporting but that's my passion and my life. My team is most important irrespective of the opponent the team stand to battle against.
496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: October 10, 2020, 07:29:25 PM
I tried your skill game it's pretty interesting you are offering such games but still i would prefer playing sports betting and poker I think there's a high possibility that I could win with this games since I've been in the field for a long time good thing to know that casinos are now having a skill base game
More like myself mate, most of my gambling activities are done with skill games base and not just luck base games. Though, sometimes I do exercise myself with these luck base games because of entertainment and fun in them than the skill games( though, not all time). Currently, I have shifted towards poker games and sporting as various leagues has been opened up recently. Nothing is best achieve when it's base on luck than your ability.
497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING: Square & Twitter's Boss, Jack Dorsey buys $50M worth of Bitcoin. on: October 10, 2020, 07:09:53 PM
<snip>
  • Bad news: If more companies keep buying huge stacks of BTC, They might own enough to become manipulative and do things their own way.
The truth is, manipulation will be inevitable when the time come. Imagine when those big companies cut huge portion of Bitcoin and hold, this will enable them manipulate the market at self-will. Although, this will be a tough one because many companies will get involve and be made competitive.
<snip>
That's not true, bitcoin's maximum supply is 21million, and as of thi moment, bitcoin's supply is already at 18.5million.
If you compare that aprroxiamate of 4709 BTC to the whole supply, it is only 0.224% of 100% bitcoin supply.
Before someone or a company be able to manipulate bitcoin's price, they should hold much higher numbers of bitcoins.
And manipulating of the price isn't that easy, if companies will just focus to this, there will be might some changes to the company they own, either for better or for worse.
You're out of point dude, all I said was: if big companies get hold on good portion in Bitcoin then there will be a sort of manipulative possibility in market. Never said, square with little portion will have control. Aren't whales currently manipulating the cryptocurrency market now? Can you tell their percentage of their holdings for this manipulation?. Somebody will manipulate the market now and another tomorrow till the last Bitcoin get mined. "It's a free market for all".
498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proof of pure luck on: October 09, 2020, 04:43:25 PM
~~~~ Let's say that you need to choose between 1- 50 and make a combination of 6 number in any order, that's really hard to do and to guess. That's the proof that pure luck can be experienced in playing lottery, roulette, and etc. It is obviously a pure luck gambling game if it make you lose a lot of money first until you win.
You're right, personally as a gambler, i don't care about the cracks to find the actual lucky numbers while i gamble but doing this without the mindsets of getting pick-up the right numbers saves my stress. Just pick to hang-up a number is my best wishes becasue most of my gambling activities are done becasue of fun and entertainment seeking. Those who gamble solely to earn from their gambling will definitely end-up going through tough means to choose the right number.
499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people keep playing unlicensed, illegal slot machines? on: October 09, 2020, 04:21:27 PM
Some gamblers do not know that's it's unlicensed and illegal and they don't care if they are, they just want to play, they just want to gamble, a gambler will always gamble, this is the reason why do have a lot of underground gambling you cannot stop people from gambling they have the urge to gamble they have to release it whether legal or illegal.
Most of  them (gambler) don't care about the documentation of the gamble casino, they are after what they can get out from the gambling platform. Some of them look out for conveniences (how the gambling platform present their activities) while they choose to gamble, gambling platforms I have visited can be as a result of their conveniences with them and not based on their licensed or others, though, they are important but convenience is my watchword.
Well, sorry for bumping this thread but I am contradicting of this statement. Gamblers care about licensed casinos.
Illegal/unlicensed platform are most likely giving fair gaming experience. Why? --Because they can easily reach their quota to earn a profit.
Since they are operating without any license, they doesnt need to pay debts and use the fund from their profits to do so.
Because they are almost operating for free! Also, --gambling license is very expensive, I can tell. And that's why regulated gambling sites don't have that fairness compared to illegal ones. Hope this helped!
It might interest you that, thousands of complaints from forum members are from those gambling platforms you and i think to be registered and licensed. Reach a quota by those unlicensed gambling platforms doesn't make them to exit their activities online, though this can be true to some extent , also, licensed gambling do some of these aforementioned illegalities, so, its not peculiar with the unlicensed casinos. Here are some fees for registry gambling casinos,     USA: $30k - $70k, Europe: 20,000 euros and my dear country Nigeria: #50k - #1.5M, with all these fees gambling license isn't expensive IMO.
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"? on: October 08, 2020, 08:02:11 PM
Until now 2017 remains the best, almost all ICOs in that year get the highest sales target before the ICO ends. and people in droves want to buy before they are on the exchange. because almost any ICO can benefit x10 - x100 in just a few days.
There won't be another year to compare with the 2017 crypto age. This year was the best year for anyone who choose to make an investment with this technology, millions of new investors made some good catches from this program. I could vividly see the 2017 to be the very best year for cryptocurrency existence. What have been seen today through defi system is just a little of the 2017 ICOs and can't measure up with them if we're to compare the years. Though, we hope to see another golden year aside the 2017 which drawn millions into cryptocurrencies.
