1161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Triggers Gambling Addiction on: May 06, 2019, 06:28:01 AM
Conceivably chasing after lost might be the major reason why that can trigger gambling addiction. Whenever a gambler chase after her lost there is the possibility of that gambler to endanger herself in gambling addiction, since i started gambling, i have never once chase after my looses whenever am about to play fresh games, this has helped me till now and not addicted in gambling.
1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is best practice for gambling?? on: May 06, 2019, 06:19:48 AM
May anyone tell me what is the best practice for gambling with little investment? I have no so much experiance about it.Any suggestion or advice.

Will advise you to be more careful about the odds while using small investment in gambling becasue Odds are the weakness of  good gambler. Many atimes i do gamble with a very minimal amount but always be careful when investing on any particular odd. Gambling is a game of luck and that of chance and not experience or strategies.

1164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Eating your Brain and Money on: May 06, 2019, 06:00:17 AM
I understand and i somewhat experience this situation and now i tend to stay away from casino because i dont have self-control. I learned to accept losses because chasing it will only lead me to more losses which will sink into me when i spent all my money.

Good to know that you know this and you have decided to quit gambling. You can develop the skills and self control and then again resume the gambling. Gambling will surely eat your money and make you sad if you do not play sensibly.

Agree too, when you are falling out of self control in Gambling, no one should advise you before you do becasue in that process gambling is eating your money and at the same time eating up your Brain. Basically, in my own case am able to control myself whenever am in action(gambling) depending whether am at lost or on the winning side, self control still the best in gambling.
1165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I would like to see bitcoin accepted as bitcoin on: May 06, 2019, 05:39:05 AM
Categorically every Bitcoiner would like to see Bitcoin been accepted as the local currency but the possibility of this to happen will be far from reality due to the nature of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. It nature of volatility will be hindrance from it be accepted like other currency(fiats) but the technology is still evolving and anything is possible in the nearest future.

You can also, check out some opinions on this thread which is much similar to your subject in question. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=308.0

thanks will do

"Would like to see Bitcoin be accepted like our local currency (Fiats)." yah damn straight, I mean why are people accepting fiat? boycott that shit.

Bitcoiners can't run always from the fact that, this technology is still evolving and very much young to be accepted generally by the masses to boycott fiat(shit). In your idea to boycott the shit, how do you feel if my ground-mum have this type of transaction in order to purchase her usual maggi in the local store BTC0.0000049 (equivalent of 10 Naira) and BTC0.0000025 (equivalent of 5 Naira)?. Fiats still serve a purpose and shouldn't be relegated when there's no mass adoption yet.
1166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Court issued an order for Craig Wright to produce his public bitcoin address on: May 05, 2019, 09:33:42 PM
The truth will be open to the whole world now as Craig will have to produced those documents to the court, if he is the real santoshi he should be able to provide those wallets but if otherwise then the whole world will know the fakesantoshi.

Indeed, haven him onboard with all his rantings about himself be the real Satoshi Nakamoto will definitely come to an end if the court will do the needful. But lets also consider this happenings that, it will give him more public exposure but the beauty is the truth will be see at the end of the day. Will ensure to monitor the case to know the updates.
1167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins labelled a gambling device on: May 05, 2019, 09:25:50 PM

Nothing should be seen from an old business man who accustomed himself with the outdated analogistic method of business, they are very behind the digitalistic world, so, nothing far from this should be expected from them. Bitcoin is not a gambling device rather is a digital currency with the sole aim of been a  payment method as an alternative to fiat to those who need freedom and transparency.

1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where would you like to see Bitcoin accepted? on: May 05, 2019, 09:06:27 PM
The volatility of Bitcoin and in general cryptocurrency will have some sort of worries from online shops and physical shop to accept it as a method of payment. Bitcoin has achieved much in this very few years of it existence and little time from now it will be accepted as a payment method from many vendors. Would like to see Bitcoin be accepted like our local currency (Fiats).
1170  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is This The Last Time To Buy Bitcoin Cheap on: May 05, 2019, 08:59:41 PM
There are such possibility if you base your prediction on the current happenings around Bitcoin recently. For Bitcoin to move from it lowest to were it is now can be seen as an impossibility of it falling again back to it lowest in 2018. In my personal opinion, will agree that, the last time to buy Bitcoin cheap is now!, so, ensure to secure your place among the next Millionaires.

Is either I cashout few price late or earlier. This Voodoo Crypto site you speak of I see you're trying to promote it, are you the owner? Will still check it out though.

Although am not a genius in the world of trade but have learnt some very few things that helped me on cash-out early, although doesn't work al the time. Chat reading on daily basis to get accustom with the current price of cryptocurrency matter alot during trade. Cash-out early or late are bound in trade, that's why many traders or so called expert also run at lost.

At OP is advertising his Discord group and i wish s/he a good luck.
1172  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far bitcoin will it go this time and why? on: May 05, 2019, 02:54:23 PM
Lets be realistic on the way Bitcoin started it movement from the beginning of 2019. Base on this, i will like to predict the price of $10,000 before the end of the year. Currently, the price of Bitcoin is wagaring around $5,923 - $6,000, maybe by the end of the Third quarter of the year we might see a double rise in the price of Bitcoin, if this happen the possibility of Bitcoin price hitting $10,000 above is visible.
1173  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with small budget on: May 05, 2019, 02:39:44 PM
Hello all,

I have a question:
Is there anyway or any where on some exchange a way to trade BTC/USD with 1 dollar per 1 dollar move with total fee less than 1 dollar?

Thanks
Basically, trading with such minimal amount will never encourage you as a trader, more also such minimal amount will be swallow up by the exchange. Will advise you to trade with at least $30, which after everything you will still have reasonable balance at the end if you trade get lost in the process.
1174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too many exchanges? on: May 05, 2019, 02:29:26 PM
We are seeing more and more exchanges nowadays. Is it beneficial to the community if we have more of these? What do you think are the benefits and/or the negative impact on having too many exchanges?

Personally, i never buy the idea of many exchanges in the world of cryptocurrency becasue the more these exchanges the more crimes will spread over this industry. Currently, the exchanges we have in this industry right now are okay, lets wait for the full adoption of cryptocurrency before more exchanges will be welcome. Too many exchanges aren't helping the industry right now.
1175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How easil to detect a crypto scam [for Newbies] on: May 04, 2019, 08:03:06 AM
There is a notable difference between sourcing and plagiarism. Sourcing is meant when you get information from some where, process it and give it out in your own understanding and knowledge but when you copy and paste what you see so similarly even if you indicate the source it's still plagiarism

Thanks for your enlightenment that was a mistake on my part but updated as instructed thanks.
1176  Other / Beginners & Help / How easil to detect a crypto scam [for Newbies] on: May 03, 2019, 10:23:34 PM
  • Does the website connect securely over https (not http)? If the address starts with “http” instead of “https,” the data you send to the website is not secure.
  • Can you see the word “Secure” or an image of a padlock in your web browser’s address bar? This indicates that a website is secure.
  • Does the website’s URL have any noticeable spelling mistakes or errors? If so, it could be a fake.
  • Does the site feature bad grammar, awkward phrasing or spelling mistakes? If it does, this doesn’t necessarily indicate a scam, but it does mean you should proceed with caution.
  • Does the website promise abnormally high returns? (For example, does it claim you’ll be able to double your investment?) This should raise a big red flag and is a common indicator of a scam.
  • Is there an “About us” page? Does it show the real people behind the company? Does it provide any details about where the company is registered? If there’s little or no information about who the company is and what it does, you could be dealing with a scam.
  • Do legitimate, reputable websites link to this site? This could indicate that the site is trusted and respected.
  • What do other users say about the website? Are there any negative reviews and, if so, what do they say? The crypto community is usually pretty quick to spread the word about scams.
  • Who is the registered owner of a domain or website? Is the owner hidden behind private registration? Has the domain been registered for less than six months? (You can find this information by searching for the platform’s URL registration details on a site like WHOis.net). The more information you can find about the people/company behind a website, the better.
  • Is there anything else about the website that raises red flags or just seems too good to be true? If there’s something that just doesn’t seem right, trust your gut.

1177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Doesn’t Create Wealth Inequality on: May 01, 2019, 10:20:04 AM
I think you meant equality of opportunity, cryptocurrencies and dapps create lots of opportunities for those who can't have an access to different markets for many reasons. It is but partly because of lack of regulation.

As clearly stated, Bitcoin doesn't create wealth inequality and not equality of opportunity. Lets look back to the early days of Bitcoin; where it was airdropped, wither "A" or "B" holds 20 of it or 0 of it, but was airdropped equally. As many that applied to the airdrop, they equally received the same Coins back then.

And in few years; those without clear knowledge of Bitcoin potentials; misused their coins while others who believe on it potentials got the wealth equally  Grin
1178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / JPMorgan Exec Joins Blockchain Gold-Trading Firm Tradewind as CEO on: May 01, 2019, 09:51:06 AM
Remember few months ago, JPMorgan came up with JPM Coin, and now joining the Blockchain Gold-Trading
Firm Tradewind as CEO. What are your take on the possibility of JPM Coin be a hot cake for cryptocurrency enthusiast?

Tradewind, a blockchain-powered marketplace for precious metals, has hired a senior executive from JPMorgan to be the startup’s first-ever CEO.

Tradewind, launched in March 2018 with the goal of putting gold trading on a blockchain, was backed early on by IEX, the stock exchange featured in Michael Lewis’ bestseller “Flash Boys.” IEX’s former head of product Matt Trudeau is a co-founder of Tradewind and served as its president (he is now chief strategy officer at crypto futures exchange ErisX). The startup says it’s using the VaultChain blockchain based on R3’s Corda platform.

Tradewind has secured partnerships with such entities as the Royal Canadian Mint and Asahi Refining, as well as funding by large metal producers like Goldcorp, Agnico Eagle Mines, IAMGOLD and Wheaton Precious Metals. It’s raised a total of $19.6 million, according to Crunchbase.

1179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Doesn’t Create Wealth Inequality on: April 30, 2019, 08:59:14 AM
The only point here is that bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency created an opportunity for people (professionals, rich, poor, as in everyone) to get involved in a venture where they can earn aside from their earnings in real-life.

Take me as an example, before I learned about crypto I used to work my ass out just to earn minimum wage, to pay for my bills and shelter, to feed my family. Bitcoin was able to give me an opportunity to earn a year worth of my salary in just a short span of time, and I think it's one of the best opportunity I had.

Now, you guys continue your discussion.  Grin (Eating popcorn while reading)
 Cheesy

Bitcoin and other cryptos created an Equal opportunity to be specific. I believe that's what OP was talking about with her statement "wealth equality".
Things kinda quickly went to a different direction  Grin

That's my point and many of these contributors are wagering around the initial point of my post.  Grin
1180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Doesn’t Create Wealth Inequality on: April 29, 2019, 05:46:20 PM
"From a holistic perspective, Bitcoin is the first asset of its kind… ever. It is a decentralized, non-sovereign, deflationary, and uncensorable form of money confined by the rules of a computer protocol, one which was made by a pseudonymous developer. What’s more important in the context of this conversation, however, is that Bitcoin is the first consumer-available asset that has netted its early adopters over 100,000% (1,000x). In other words, BTC could be seen as a medium for the creation of wealth equality, not inequality.

You didn’t have to be a long-standing, recognized Silicon Valley entrepreneur, with a large amount of cash in your bank account to boot, to purchase BTC during its earliest days. All you needed to be was a savvy consumer with an eye for obscure yet revolutionary trends, the mental fortitude not to sell during downturns, and the ability to store coins safely.

But Bitcoin is the only asset that gave those with no accreditation, the majority of investors in America, the opportunity to see a parabolic growth in their wealth."
