1261  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on its way to $100000?! on: February 03, 2022, 03:10:49 PM
How I wish it will be that easy.
If you take a deep look at what is going on with the economy then it becomes a big question on how people will get money to invest with.
Pandemic, being jobless, and there's the hyped coins which includes NFT projects and memes that divides all the capital that could have been all for Bitcoin. Free will, different options, their own beliefs that it will make them rich in a short span of time, all of those considered will make you hard to believe if ever Bitcoin will ever reach a high value. But I believe they will be back, this ain't new to us. Clue, ICO.

I feel like I need a bot that just posts Dwight Howard's stats and says that Frank Vogel needs to be fired on here after every game.
LOL. Are you working on the bot already?  Grin
Score is 99-94 in favor of the Lakers. Low scoring game which means they worked harder on their defense. I feel like Frank Vogel is up to something or he is already doing it. Why won't he give the minutes to Dwight? Is he half injured or is he saving him for something else because this is not the minutes given to him while they are playing at the bubble. JaVale McGee has higher minutes than him and they have Ayton there and Biyombo.
AD do need to be careful now because if he is injured again, I am positive the Lakers will not reach the playoffs.
1263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra/Diem is dead? on: February 03, 2022, 08:18:49 AM
I thought they are going to inject it in their new Meta (formerly Facebook). That's the purpose why they recently change the name if I am not mistaken.
First step will be to let their users know that they are stepping up their game and trying to be cryptocurrency friendly and that's when Diem will come in.
I guess they cannot convince their own government about it. Libra failed and rebranding could be the solution but again, it failed and this might be because of fear for Meta owner to be more powerful controlling the financial industry.

Giannis really felt that his ribs are hurting after that and I think Harrell should got ejected on the game after that incident because I think he purposely committed a flagrant foul, it was clear that he can't reach Giannis but he forced it.
Indeed, should've been a flagrant 2 but there's no broken bones and blood yet so they let it pass.  Roll Eyes
The Nets management should settle this matter at once because Irving is obliged to play both road games and homecourt and also get vaccinated because he signed a contract to them.
I am glad something changed about Kyrie Irving like how respectful he is today but I do not think the belief about refusing the vaccination will ever change.
What do you guys think about the NBA allstar starters?
There has been a debate erupted on social media whether Andrew Wiggins deserve the spot or not.
Most people says Devin Booker is a much deserving candidate in his position.
Though I'm not against it as Wiggins improved his game as he perfectly fits the GSW system. He's both an offensive and defensive threat.
While Booker is also equally as good as Wiggins.
What do you think about this?
Their both good but like you said, but there was an improvement with Wiggins and suddenly became consistent in his games while Booker's game had been on and off. That's the difference and fans loved the change. Good change.
1265  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit $100k? on: February 02, 2022, 01:14:44 PM
On my opinion too, it will.  Wink But of course, there will always be the others opinion so you need to live with it.
I am not a technical guy when it comes to looking at what are the possibilities for it to go beyond the amount you said but as using the history of Bitcoin I could say the value of it growing will always exist. I am just waiting when all this hypes from new projects and memecoins will calm down. That's when Bitcoin will start ascending once again.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 02, 2022, 10:47:17 AM
Nets' bad performance in the first quarter caused them to lose against Suns by 121-111 last night. I was expecting a result like this though. In the absence of KD, Nets are having serious problems this season recently. They got their fifth consecutive loss and they have dropped to the sixth place in the standings. This is not good for them as they might go down to the area which they would have to play extra playoff games. KD is out for a long time and I hope that they can collect themselves until then.
It's not just KD, this is also the result of having a star that is just being inserted in road games. It is not healthy for their bench players and even their first five. Plays will go messy and sometimes they won't even know what to do or who to obey and where the play should be.

Scary hard foul by Harrell to Giannis. It's not fun to see those type of plays specially when a guy is in mid-air. If you cannot reach him, just let it go and give him the deuce. Luckily, he was not hurt but what if he is? That could have been a shoulder injury or worst.
Bucks still won the game.
1267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First Europe With Bitcoin Salary on: February 02, 2022, 05:04:31 AM
Indeed it's good news, this had been the way for many years, Bitcoin crawling in the shadows and forming its own path to the future.
It's just 2 to 3 names but its a good start rather than nothing. When followers and supporters of these guys read about the news there's a chance they'll do the same or just receiving the idea they could transform their salary for Bitcoin will remain in their mind.
1268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 01, 2022, 05:37:05 PM
Watching Ja Morant is like watching D. Rose during his prime. He can finish and attack the basket so flawlessly that any defender would be left on skates whenever he's on the court. He can also drive and finish like any other player since he is so acrobatic and flexible on the court. Though he missed a game winning free throw shot, if he could develop his jumper and free throw shooting, he will definitely be a threat or even a candidate for the next MVP. He just makes everyone around him so consistent and efficient in the court.
I agree. The only thing that he is lacking is shooting. But, we do see him attempt 3 point shots and some of them are going in. What I don't see with him is the high flying mid range jumper. If it ain't a lay up it would be a tear drop. That's it. I don't even know his form when shooting. Thumbs up for him for trying to be stretchable and practicing his shots, he needs it for he will be more effective in driving it to the basket if he can do a hesitation move.
There will be more ankle breakers once he mastered it.
1269  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Government Really Ban Crypto? on: February 01, 2022, 03:14:48 PM
It's windows injected in a phone that is not right. I'd rather just use it in a computer. It's not user friendly as I had tried it before and had a hard time tinkering what I need.
Back to the topic, I think it's because of the inability to check the people's balances that's why they don't want cryptocurrencies becoming their assets.
They like it all in a "legal" way where there are paperworks and so they could claim taxes. Yeah, they call it as a tool for tax evasion and governments wouldn't like that.
1270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralization ain't the solution to everything on: February 01, 2022, 11:42:12 AM
There's negativity in how you portray it.
It's not about them "criminals" because they should be behind bars. It's for the people living outside those bars. You even extend to make it look like a government hater decentralization scheme as if you could just erase a government and be autonomous.
It's different when we talk about it using the blockchain. Avoiding the middleman and whoever is in the middle of the middleman which is a fact. Let the transaction go directly from supplier to consumer avoiding layers of transaction fees.
Oh and there's a history of transactions that could be traced so it's not really invisible.

Now with regards to the Rockets, its all close until Curry has hot hands coming into the 4th and took it over and got the win. They are still in the top 2 seeded behind the Suns who has a 10 game win streak again.
It's Kevin Porter Jr.'s fault.  Cheesy He talked too much to Steph Curry (I don't know if it's trash talk) and we all know that guy when he is being cornered, he will transform into a monster and be at his best performance.
But I saw them chatting at the end of the game, looks like it was all just a competitive spirit of the young player. He did great defending and answering all the shots thrown to them but that's Steph, I'd be proud of myself if I am the one doing the exhausting defense against him and endure it until the last minute of the game.
1272  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best strategy for crypto trading on: January 31, 2022, 05:32:15 PM
A long time ago, I/we pair Bitcoin with an Altcoin and that's way difficult but when stable coins came it gets the job easier. The best strategy would always be the experience. It may have been repeatedly said here but that's the only one working for me. You can read different TA's but at the end of the day it's all up to you on when you will buy or sell.
Focus on one coin paired with a stable coin. It will be easier to tell your gains and losses. Now read the market of the coin back and see what you did right or wrong. That's all I do.
1273  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to buy? on: January 31, 2022, 02:28:48 PM
It's cheaper by almost a half since ATH so yes for me too.
But don't expect much, it may have been resisting to be dumped further but the possibility is still there although I think it won't be that far anymore since it had been 10 days now if we count the day it went to 36k dumped that surprised me. Just be sure you are not expecting to sell in a short term because it might let you down if ever it dips again. Be ready for anything after you purchase.
1274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 31, 2022, 10:44:48 AM
I really think so too that the management should let Vogel go and find another head coach who can truly help the roster as he's not really that effective anymore on the Lakers this season. That's their only option for now, it's a pity seeing them in that situation when infact they had the best all time players too especially LeBron who have so much burden on his shoulder despite of his age.

If this really continue with Vogel as their head coach, the chances to be in the playoffs to are indeed slim what more in the Finals. Just saying!
But there's a problem. Who will be the coach to replace him who has better winning percentage in his CV?
This will be a big risk for the team also as having a new kind of play might lower their chances of being in the playoffs or Finals. It will be a decision that must be carried out with all the risk being considered. I hope it's that easy to just take him out and everything will be cured.

I thought Spurs will be the one to break the streak but CP3 just amazes me more as time goes by. His calm gestures makes every Suns player avoid being on panic everytime they are on a crucial moment.
That sigh of Coach Monty tells how difficult it is to keep up with the streak. They may be exhausted and want to just give in but CP3 and Booker wouldn't just let go of the game against the Spurs.
1275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING! ETH 2.0 is no more!!! on: January 31, 2022, 08:12:04 AM
What's important to me is they do not change the main reason for the change which is the transition to POS and improvement of network scalability. There will be changes in the approach to switch but this is basically renaming.

Thank you. Now I feel better.
Just a moment ago upon reading the news I was in panic of what should I do. But it came from them, nothing should be done. You are correct it's just mere rebranding.
But how will the investors react to this will be out of their control especially if some of them really know nothing about the deep meaning of it, or the nerdy approach. Make it simple that can be understood by an average Joe and spread it all over social media.
1276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 30, 2022, 05:46:50 PM
So if it's going to be Nets vs Suns, I'm sure I'll go with the Nets.
Do you think the Heat or the Bulls will reach the NBA finals? Because they are in the 1st and 2nd seed in the East.
I have to agree, the Nets will be unstoppable in the East If they healthy. But in the Western conference, there's a lot of competition on that conference.
Everyone sleeping on the Bucks again?  Giannis in the playoffs is nearly impossible to stop.  In the East I'd say it's the bucks/bulls/Nets, pending everyone is healthy.  West is top heavy the teams 6 on are terrible.
I like this. It's healthy. That means it will be an unpredictable Finals.
It could be Nets, Bucks, Bulls, Heat, GSW, Suns, 76ers and even the Grizzlies. Wow, I even forgot the team I am rooting for. The Nuggets.
Anything could happen, maybe its just me taking pity (bad word cannot find the right one) of Chris Paul. He had been in the league for a long time aiming for the championship. He is not the typical player who just entered for salary. He has a goal and I like players like that. I want him to win so bad that I even surrendered my own rooted team to see him reach it. But the truth is, he has to earn it for a higher satisfactory feeling.
1277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: With the prosperity comes big price! NFT market faces consequences. on: January 30, 2022, 04:07:33 PM
Same with oHnK's question. How?
I bought NFT cards but those have their usage in the game like a mining tool card (sold by another user, looted in game) that increases the amount of mined coin that could be sold for real cash. It's safer rather than trading with another player which is the culprit of scams back then.
This ain't actually different with it. You bought what you think is an authenticated art but then you will know it was just plagiarized. But how? Is there like a system here where they have unique codes or hidden barcode that would verify the authenticity of it?
My NFT cards in game have a unique number, I don't have an idea when it comes to art which will be taken out from the system and be kept by the new owner.
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 30, 2022, 12:00:54 PM
Nothing has changed with their roster last season and this season at least with their key players.
CP3, Booker, Ayton, Bridges and others are there. I can't remember if they traded some of their players in their off-season but at least their main players are there.

They entered the NBA Finals last season and there is also a high chance that they might enter once again or at least in the WCF if they will lost against the Warriors Cheesy. Their main problem against the Bucks in The Finals is they are lacking inside presence and now they filled that spot already with McGee and now Biyombo. Expectations for this team is very high and we're seeing them dominating again and I agree that we might see them in a long winning streak again.
I am a Nuggets fan but I don't mind for the Phoenix Suns to take this year. Besides, Jamal Murray is still resting and when he comes back it will be like a fresh Nuggets team. I would love to see the Suns take the throne and Chris Paul having his first championship. I bet he will be a lot emotional holding that trophy. He deserves it with all his hardwork and leadership even on his past teams.
What will be the wall that will keep him from taking it? Scott Foster.  Grin Just kidding.
1279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SibaDoge on: January 30, 2022, 09:19:38 AM
Oh! Christ. Not another meme project that came from their meme master.
To answer the question first, I will use another question. How will you buy it at the first place? Thru exchange? If that's the case which mostly is then sell it back at the same way.
Finally, for the project. Have you ever thought about buying another coin rather than a repeated name which is basically just used because of the hype?
We must be wise now on how we will spend our money. It's not easy getting it anymore in this pandemic. I am not keeping you from buying what you think is right, just reminding and maybe you will think twice.
1280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: On which esports you place bets on: January 29, 2022, 06:50:04 PM
Recently, I was asked by one of my clients to check out which esports betting bitcointalk users are most interested. I wasn't really aware of esports betting much. Because I really don't gamble a lot. Can you please share which esports you used to place bets on? It would be a great helping hand to find out the right one. Client was interested in offering bonus for bitcointalk users.
The NBA live 2k e-sport game, I use to bet on that but too rare these days when I have more time at work. The funny thing it started is when I accidentally bet on it thinking it was the real game from NBA but to my surprise that it ended up quickly and I realized it was just a game played by players. I don't know if it's popular but I think it's best as well but too dependent on the player too and I don't know lot of NBA live e-sport players though.
I have the same experience. I didn't know it was a video game as I was on a rush to take a live bet. I didn't realize there was a game also happening in
E-sports with the same team. Just one team, they are playing against a different team in live sports. But that one team is what I want to bet for and it was a bad coincidence. I lost but its a good experience and I realized something afterward, I could bet for that type of game whenever summer is around and there is no live sports that I like being televised.
But I got to know who are the players. The one holding the controller.
