You completely missed the point I was trying to make, so let me try again. I didn't say that bitcointalk is not popular anymore, I was referring to @Laudanum and his claim that bitcointalk is dying, by saying that forums are not as popular as they used to be (and that's a simple fact) so no wonder that bitcointalk is not as active as before. Go check any stats, and you will see that post numbers are indeed lower than year ago, let alone 2017/2018.

There are people on various social media, communities in Reddit look for various services on the forum and mostly post them here.

The forum is not dying, Leechers without doing any Seeding are leaving the forum or are being kicked out for various reasons and the competition has increased and Spammers are decreased, I'm sure they'll find other community forums to throw their trash, This forum has already had enough.

Not to mention all who left with leechers there had been good people in the community that left because of life problems and it's not their fault.

Where exactly I mentioned other crypto forums? I said "various forums", and that didn't imply crypto forums specifically, but forums in general.

Maybe he's referring to forums like altcointalk (Idk if that's the real name)
1264  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How to punish scammer? on: July 03, 2021, 04:29:43 PM
Hello everyone, I was scammed for the first time))

Cool, most of us have been there, welcome to the party.

The amount is not significant, but I want to somehow punish this scammer.

You can't punish them tbh, even if you know their IP it doesn't guarantee it's their real, If you really want to punish them then find them on some big community, lets say on Reddit or on bitcointalk, and call them out with proof, I'm sure they'll lose their credibility.

I sent a Tether to the Tron blockchain, there is no outgoing transaction from his wallet, most likely this is his own wallet, what can you think of?

Or forget and forgive?)

It doesn't matter unless if know them IRL, If you sent them Tether after a short Discord chat then no, I'm afraid you can't do anything.
Forgive?, Yes forgive yourself for making the mistake but learn from it.
1265  Economy / Reputation / Re: How to promote fake Wallet and Ponzi scheme at the same time. on: July 03, 2021, 04:17:49 PM
Note: Title should be reviewed. It seems you are sharing some ways of promoting fake wallet and ponzi scheme. Smiley

If I change the title to "How not to promote fake wallet and Ponzi scheme" then it will attract more scammers imo, Then the discussion will revolve around "what not to do" and one potential scammer will learn more than the comments here.

You know, it's amazing to me that Jordan Belfort is still getting all sorts of positive media attention these days.  The fact is that he's a convicted criminal and con man, yet there seem to be a lot of people who look up to him (probably because they've seen Boiler Room and/or Wolf of Wall Street).  While it's true he got rich and achieved a lot of material success, he did it the wrong way and he's not a role model for anyone looking to make money.

Most people look at what's cool to do, Trading itself is the game of taking the money of others while they try to take yours.
Promoting the penny stocks and dumping it on people you guaranteed will make them rich is indeed an act of not keeping your word is not a good thing, I'd vote for drug sellers like Pablo Escobar, at least they delivered what they say, lol.

I wouldn't trust any of those comments, though I don't doubt a scheme like this would appeal to some people.

You'd be surprised, actually these videos and schemes appeal to a lot of people,
A friend of mine, I had a discussion after he went into cryptos after months I told him that I'm into cryptos since 2014.
What happened is he believed Bitcoin generator schemes - the ones that generate Bitcoin private keys with balance and sell those at a cheap price.
He wasn't able to think why would someone sell something of bigger value for a small price, It doesn't make sense but he started telling me that i don't know anything.
And then he sent me the links to such YT videos, I was amazed and told him it's an idiot and never picked up his call after that.

Funny, in the US there are more jobs available than there are people to fill them right now, which is because of all the money the government keeps throwing at them, incentivizing them to stay home instead of working for a living.  COVID-19 may have initially put a lot of service industry people out of work (like restaurant workers), things have changed in the last year and the situation now is much different.

I recently watched a video where I learned,
- U.S money is printed by some private individual(s)
- Before U.S Dollar value was backed up with Gold but not now.

What the above points speak is that That private company/party can print an unlimited amount of Dollars without getting any problem, and that's what we're seeing.

Actually, I've talked about it before it's not on Topic but I'll say it, There had been Aliens that gave us the knowledge of the Kundalini Serpent that resides in the Base of Spine of every creature that has a Spine, Once it's awakened after doing various meditations which revolve around unblocking the Blockages in Spine through Yoga and Mantras(Vibrations) such that every Chakra Spins at the Speed of Light and is empowered. When that happens then the body will generate intense Heat and Kundalini serpent will Climb up inside the Spine, In a way like an actual Serpent Climbs a tree branch and you could sense something moving within your Spine to The Crown Chakra (Thousand Petal Lotus), Then you'll become aware of every section/part of the Brain and are able to utilize it, We humans also attain siddhis (supernatural powers) after that, That's the true knowledge which we humans as a whole have lost.
The reason being there are other Alien species that don't want humans to achieve it for some reason And that's the reason Egypt was attacked.

To prove it Look at the research of Nikola Tesla!, and Compare with it Pyramids of Egypt, Especially the Pyramid of Giza, which is linked to the afterlife and brought back Osiris, I won't go into much detail but,
What Nikola Tesla did is he took energy from the Top Most layer of Earth and converted it into pure electricity. But for some reason his research wasn't brought to light by the FBI, Which is still holding most of his documents and not releasing them to the public, This explains that there are Humans or Some entities that are withholding this Information from humans.
Here's a video from youtube talking about it in detail if someone wants to see it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ft1waA3p2_w&t=439s

Now the Pyramids did the same thing but the only difference is they didn't use it to convert it into electricity but used it for spiritual purposes.

What I mean by this is, Whoever is controlling humanity doesn't want them to know things such as the kundalini serpent even exist, If someone's trying to get into a Spiritual journey then I'd give One warning.

- Don't Vibrate Mantras from Torah!, They're not spiritual, Vibrational mantras from it will damage your soul.

The whole universe is Vibrating, atoms vibrate, everything is vibrations even the Chakras vibrate.

I might make a website soon or a thread on the forum with more detail. If I think people are interested in hearing my thoughts.  Smiley
1266  Economy / Reputation / How to promote fake Wallet and Ponzi scheme at the same time. on: July 03, 2021, 10:56:57 AM
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vD7d0ko3a-E

When the video starts he takes you to a website and starts explaining about Bitcoin wallet, "Completely free", "They charge 0 fees", So so on with his marketing script.
Then starts explaining about the Monthly/Daily plans which range from - 0.0025 BTC to 0.0085 BTC where 0.0085 investment will make you 1-3 Bitcoins Monthly  Grin

What the Video means -> "Give me your Money after buying into my story"
The video did give an Indirect warning by displaying a short clip of Jordan Belfort from Wolf of the wall street in the video, I think that's more than enough.

Now the funny part, After explaining everything - "People are losing jobs in Covid", "They should find side income source"
What he actually means - "Work for me without any wage because you're greedy and keep on investing your Covid savings into the best plan "

There are actually people in the comments thinking it's legit.
No matter how much awareness you spread regarding Ponzi Schemes there will always be someone turning 18 yr/old and their Hormonal rush needs something to go to the moon, so they'll get into it and the rest is a Classic story of someone getting scammed by Ponzi.
1267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will never be gone on: July 02, 2021, 06:33:39 PM
why I do believe that bitcoin will never be gone anymore.bitcoin will be part of our life forever.
How about you? Do we have the same idea of bitcoin?

I'm only curious what will happen when we are 2099yr+ and miners are making significantly lower amounts in Bitcoin compared to now.
Will, they still continue to support the network of bitcoin?, Will there be another fork of bitcoin (i doubt it will change much), Will the price of bitcoin will be enough to pay for the miner's hardware and work.

Or will the network be dead by then some other Coin has taken over the market?

I can't comment for sure what's going to happen in the future regards to bitcoin but since it's the first crypto currency so there's a good chance it will survive but can't guarantee it.
1268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin be protected by freedom of speech? on: July 02, 2021, 06:29:07 PM
Well, Government can introduce their own crypto and force people to use and disregard any other crypto but i don't see it happening in most countries, maybe in China, it can happen.

Second, They can indirectly ban bitcoin by banning the mining in their country but it will not completely stop the network, it will slow the network and people have to pay more in fees to get their transaction get confirmed quickly, Due to the fact a loss of huge hash rate in the network.
1269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China's game plan on: July 02, 2021, 06:23:35 PM
Seems like China is done with Bitcoin. Hash rate has dropped by over 60% in the last few weeks, which confirms that miners are exiting China for good.

I was wondering what was the reason for the recent price increase in the fee of Bitcoin specially Segwit.
Now I'm paying at least 40sat/B fee for what I used to pay was 10sat/B.

How does a Bitcoin exit benefit China in the long term? What do you guys think is China's game plan?

China has control to maintain and Bitcoin directly opposes a country like China where people don't have any rights, even if they have rights then they are subject to change anytime by the Communist Party.

A lot of chatter about this being "China's trillion dollar mistake". I don't think China's dumb, so keen to hear what they might have up their sleeves.

As I said, China can't risk their control which bitcoin directly opposes even if they miss out on some Trillion dollars.
But they will lose much more in long term by not banning Bitcoin, People will have an easy time evading taxes through the use of bitcoin and other cryptos.

The Bitcoin ban is just a message to the citizens of China, a threatening one, Where the word "ban" makes people afraid even if they don't use bitcoin. When someone tells them about bitcoin then they'll remember this word and will not listen further about bitcoin because they're afraid of opposing the rules.
1270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin high fees on: July 02, 2021, 06:12:23 PM
We all agree that a transaction fee is inevitable for everyone in the business of trading the coins. But it becomes ridiculous when one has to pay a fee that is almost half of what is being traded.

I guess trading in the times of now is not in favor of fees and people are preferring to keep their funds on the exchanges if they can't afford the withdrawal fee, which will take a chunk of their Profits if they made any, Otherwise, withdrawal will take a huge % from their deposit or deposit with loss, Mostly for people who trade 200$>

Last month i was able to use 10sat/B and get my transaction confirmed within 10-20 minutes but these days it's taking at least 40sat/B to do the same.
