1281  Other / New forum software / Re: New Forum on: January 27, 2016, 02:44:10 AM

Oooo Exciting! I hope it looks fancy  Tongue

Also I hope some things that are little annoyances about this forum are fixed.

I hope that it is at-least as readable as this forum. The default theme for SMF (that Bitcoin Talk Uses) is very clean clear. Using borders and different shading between posts is nice on the eyes.
Honestly, the organde-whitr theme hurt my eyes a lot when reading it at night with my phone. It isn't structured as good as smf. I basically scroll over a thread and lose my coordination over the thread, because of the "all organge-white-black" theme. I can't see a difference between continuous posts, because there is only a very thin grey line between each post, and no shading at all.
I hope there will be improvements on this (classic theme, night mode etc)

Also, it doesn't seem to have any signature, avatar restrictions.

According to this post:

When we was saying that the forum design suck and don't look pretty good , we got told that this is more then likely not the last changes on the forum and there will be more so it shouldn't look like this , so are you sure that the screenshots you posted are from the final version ? Because if it's the case then I will be more then dissapointed and this is definitely not the work of a 1.5 million dollar forum .

The design has changed a bit since those images were taken. However, the theming engine is should be almost done by now.

There will be the ability to theme the new forum once it is done. I'm going to assume that even more themes are going to be developed after it's release by third parties, as the forum software will be open source.

There probably will be signature and avatar restrictions on the new forum once it is complete; not all the features have been added in yet.
1282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets try to make 1.5 BTC from 0.013 Total profit: 0.15btc !! on: January 27, 2016, 02:39:49 AM
NBA
Indiana vs Clippers

The bookies did their job and made 45% of the bets go on Indiana.
The Clippers should win today.
Pick - Los Angels Clippers - 1.5 @ 1.95 Win Win Win Win Win
Bet: 0.08BTC
91-89 Los Angeles Clippers.
Cheers.

Wow, great to see you rack up another win! I didn't miss this pick this time and made some profit, thanks! Good luck with your journey, hopefully this time you'll make it to 1.5 BTC.
1283  Other / New forum software / Re: "ignored by x members"? Potential quality improvement on: January 26, 2016, 03:34:36 AM
I like the idea but i dont think users will create new accounts just to ignore, this will help signature campaign managers in choosing members

Some people with a vengeance might. Some users get really mad; go to a user like Vod and look at his untrusted feedback; there are tons of "negative" feedback that angry users and their alts have given him as they are mad at him for giving them negative trust.

Because of this reason, I think that this idea should not be implemented, unless we can find a workaround to this.
1284  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Google Voice Outside Of The US - Your Own Personal USA Phone Number! on: January 26, 2016, 03:21:59 AM
I'm interested. Please PM me your contact details.  Smiley

PM your Bitcoin address for payment i am interesting to take one after your answer .
Thanks
I was going to ask same question is this well for activation of Paypal and systems like this then very useful for me also

No, these are only US numbers. Yes, these numbers can be used to activate PayPal accounts.
I'm not sure about now, but a few customers of mine have used these numbers before to verify their PayPal accounts in the past, and they have told me that they work like a charm.  Grin

Hello!

Could this service also be used for psuedo-anonymous phone calls as well?  It sounds like none of my personal information would need to be bound to the GV phone number?  (Well, maybe except for IP Address, but that's what VPNs are for  Smiley )

Celroc A

Yes, none of your info is tied to these accounts. I provide a fresh google account that has a number attached to it.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets try to make 1.5 BTC from 0.013 *** New Pick*** on: January 26, 2016, 03:15:10 AM
New pick:

NBA
New Orleans vs Houston Rockets:
Don't have time to review, but after a small research I choose to
pick : Houston Rockets +4.5 @ 1.94
Bet: 0.049BTC
( continue the last challenge after loosing the first game and winning the second with double bet.)

Missed your pick again! Good luck though. Rockets have started out well but they are so streaky throughout games you never know if they are going to hold on or end up losing. Hope I can catch your next one.

It looks like a really close game; currently the score is tied 102-102! Unfortunately, I missed this pick as well, I am looking forward to the reopening of the pot so I don't miss anything  Smiley

Just a suggestion; You said the the OP "After the 4th win I will poll a vote to all the participants- If you want to continue, or to stop and get the profit."

Perhaps make a poll after every 2 rounds to see if users want to stop or continue?
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets try to make 1.5 BTC from 0.013 *Social Experiment Is On* *NEW PICK* on: January 24, 2016, 02:30:46 AM
Count me in for this game. Just trying to understand how it works exactly... I am willing to bet 0.013BTC so do I send to 15qFDgF2NE8L7Gwdcfd8G7tD8FVEKieGS9 and you put all our bets on this one game or is this round one of seven games?

I think experiment is over for now and is  round one of seven games... besides in his "experiment" he takes a cut  of profit... now you can follow if you wish and keep all profit.

Sometimes, you miss Charles' amazing picks, and the pot was a good way to make sure you didn't miss anything. I just missed the first pick; the game already started.

OP, even with the first loss, are you still going to continue to do the pot? It was an interesting idea and it would have worked well if the first pick had been a win.

1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets try to make 1.5 BTC from 0.013 *Social Experiment Is On* on: January 22, 2016, 01:23:28 AM
Will you still be sharing your picks on this thread even with this new jar idea? Looks cool, I'd suggest maybe putting a list of all the participants and amount invested so far in the OP. Good luck, I might invest in the jar.
1288  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: >>> SteadyTurtle.com - Bitcoin Web Hosting & AFFILIATE PROGRAM on: January 22, 2016, 01:18:00 AM
steadyturtle is little slow anyone working with them? how is their hosting speed?

As a user of their service for many months, their hosting speed is quite fast; websites hosted by their service load fast. I'd recommend them if you need hosting and want to pay with bitcoins.
1289  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Google Voice Outside Of The US - Your Own Personal USA Phone Number! on: January 22, 2016, 01:13:13 AM
Great service, great seller!

Thanks for your great review!
1290  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: What are some earnings you can get right away? on: January 21, 2016, 06:10:52 AM
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "simply do whatever you have to do and get the coins right away to your wallet" but faucets do give bitcoins directly to your faucetbox wallet.

You can try out my faucets:

www.bitcoinshowers.com - A faucet with a clean and modern design! All you have to do is fill out the captcha and the satoshis will be sent!

www.bitcoinshowers.com/btcgame - A faucet where you can multiply your earnings by playing a fun dice game!
1291  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin gambling for android and IOS on: January 21, 2016, 06:08:14 AM
You can play most dice sites directly from your Device Browser, I tried it and its works flawlessly, use chrome when playing on my ipad

Yeah but this will kill your data usage pretty much. And if you are at home , you might as well gamble with your home computer instead off an iPhone.

Some places have public wifi though, so if you are at a coffee shop or someplace with free wifi, you don't have to use up any of your data. However, some places do not let you gamble on their wifi network, so be aware of that.
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: January 21, 2016, 06:01:47 AM
If you gamble for greed and money, then it could be considered a sin.
If you gamble for entertainment, then it's not really a sin.

Why would you care though? You were promoting a scam knowingly, which is a sin.

There is nothing like that. Both of them you saying is gamble so it is the same thing. It is just some perception that saying gambling is sin. What is the different between trading, you also gambling but only a different perception so there is nothing to do with sin as long as you can profit it is ok

Both are the same thing; gambling, but they are actually quite different. Gambling for greed and money can take you over and ruin your life; you will constantly need money to fuel your addiction. You might even borrow money to gamble from others. However, gambling for fun is recreational, doesn't take up all your money, and won't hurt people around you if it is purely for fun.
1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets try to make 1.5 BTC from 0.013. Total profit: 0.3btc *NEW PICK* on: January 21, 2016, 05:49:08 AM
Since Houston lost, will you be trying again to reach 1.5 with your 0.02 BTC? I look forward to your solid picks; you have a good record!
1294  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: New Faucet up to 3000 satoshi every hour on: January 21, 2016, 05:32:45 AM
I get this error-

Can't connect to database. Check your config.php.

It's fine now, it's possible OP was just editing his site. It's working now; you can claim satoshis at OP's faucet.
1295  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Just create new faucet on: January 20, 2016, 04:14:45 AM
You should probably move this to the "micro earnings" subforum.

Click the "move topic" button in the bottom left hand corner and move this topic to the "micro earnings" subforum, which is where it belongs. You'll get more attention this way, as the micro earnings board is where all the faucet announcement threads are.
1296  Economy / Gambling / Re: What makes PrimeDice the best? Or one of them? on: January 20, 2016, 04:05:05 AM
In my opinion, most dice sites are more or less the same, so people just got to the dice site which has the biggest reputation, which is of course, PrimeDice.

They have a very big user base, have a nice interface, and have ran smoothly for many years, I guess that is why they are the biggest and the best. Also, PrimeDice used to advertise a lot , so that attracted a ton of users. Now they don't need to advertise anymore, seeing as they have so many users. I think new users usually come to PrimeDice because they see PrimeDice mentioned a lot around the forum.
1297  Other / New forum software / Re: Screenshots from epochtalk on: January 20, 2016, 03:56:55 AM
Saw this a while ago... Has anything been changed/improved?

They now have a beta you can try at https://beta.bitcointalk.org.
1298  Other / New forum software / Re: New Forum on: January 20, 2016, 03:55:59 AM
I remember way back there was some plan to build a new forum, obviously that never happened.

Is it still interesting to the owners of bitcointalk.org?
For your citation(reference), the Beta version of the forum is under development -> https://beta.bitcointalk.org . Expect it to be released soon (in a couple of months)

I've noticed that the beta of the new forum only lets you view topics after you have signed in; is this just for the beta or will this be a permanent feature?
Does anyone know if it will allow guests and people who don't have an account to view the forums without signing in?
1299  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Ore-mine Collapsed? on: January 20, 2016, 03:51:31 AM
It's down because of the owner, not any "governement seizures". The notice on the website is fake; the US gouvernement doesn't do stuff like this.

As quoting the user EcuaMobi:

Quote
I don't know why but it seems some people are still not sure whether that so called seizure is fake or not. Of course it's fake!

As I said yesterday here the seizure notice was using https. Of course the Government doesn't do that, they seize the domain, not the SSL certificates so they can't use https.

To make things worst the SSL certificate the seizure notice was using was granted on 10/05/2015. Even if for some crazy reason the Government would have decided to use SSL of course they would have used a new certificate issued in January.

I already left negative trust on OP's profile with this information but it seems only a few read it. And it seems definitely OP read it because he already modified that fake seizure site removing the SSL certificate and making it http instead of https. Fortunately I archived the SSL site here: https://archive.is/p5r8V Just in case here's an archive of the updated version without SSL: https://archive.is/NoITS

Here's a screenshot of the certificate used on the fake seizure notice as it was yesterday (about 13h ago):
http://imgur.com/a/v3lHu
I don't have the fingerprints of the SSL certification when the site was running normally but I could bet they're the same.

Basically, the owner is a scammer who shut down his own site and probably ran with the funds. He's even locked his own thread, not allowing for further discussion.
1300  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betcoin sports predictions on: January 20, 2016, 03:45:21 AM
Thanks for sharing your picks, however I think you should make your thread a bit more clear.

I'm not sure if I missed something, but what is the "Longzhu" game? You didn't specify which sport, which league, etc. Adding these in will help make the thread clearer.

Good luck with your picks!
