1281  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: July 29, 2023, 12:21:41 PM
~ in the case of people who managed to hit the highest multipliers came from Legacy the dead in which there was a guy who with 0.10$ managed to hit a multiplier of 312.50x and won 31.25$, I keep wondering if the guy had put in 100$ he would have gotten one great value, maybe even retire from the games, of course only rich people could afford and that luxury of putting 100$ in each round. well, it would be interesting if there was a way to see the biggest winners of all time both in value they won and in the multiplier they hit

Yes he would, but most likely he couldn't afford such a big bet.

Today I played Exanson! by Betsoft on Roobet and I won 6x of my $0.30 bet

and it felt great. It would feel even greater if my bet was $100 at that moment, but if we can't afford losing $500 after 5 fruitless spins, which can easily happen, we shouldn't even think of making such bets. Let's be responsible gamblers, guys.
1282  Economy / Gambling / Re: Whats happening with Betnomi? on: July 29, 2023, 11:33:15 AM
I see the maintenance page for Betnomi's website is now gone too... not good.

I started getting this new message

when trying to access the site too since couple of days ago. I don't know whether it's "good" or "bad". What I do know is that Betnomi is not some drug market on the dark web that can disappear any time without warning its customers. It's a respectable gambling site that has been here for years. I believe the owners are honest people and they won't let us down.
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: July 29, 2023, 10:44:51 AM
Yes, with 500 to 1 I would place a $1 bet on Trump, for sure. Other than that, like 3.05 as it is now on most sites, no way. I think that the reason for so many people betting on Trump around the world is their local propaganda saying to them that "Biden is very unpopular" and stuff like that. They will lose their bets and they can thank their telly for that.

Biden may still win the elections, despite being unpopular. When we say that Biden is getting unpopular, we refer to the numbers from all the 50 states. But then, the POTUS election is not decided by 50 states. It is decided by 7-8 states such as Georgia, Arizona and Pennsylvania. And from what I have seen, Democrats are quite strong in these states now (compared to what they were in 2020) as a result of changing demographics and a shift from white women towards Dems. At this point, I am refraining from making any bets. Picture is not clear yet.

It's a very good observation. Whether the presidential election system in the United States "fair" or not, it's not up to us to decide and we are not going to discuss it in this thread belonging to the Gambling discussion section. What's important for us gamblers is what's going to happen most likely, who will be elected, rather than who should be elected in our opinion. That's why I'm saying, don't bet on Trump, you'll lose your money.
1284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: July 29, 2023, 10:11:06 AM
I presume that the rich loss more in gambling than the poor. ~

Most likely they do. But if a millionaire loses $10k to gambling it is not as painful to him as for a poor man to lose $100. And this is very important to understand. Rich or poor, you should only stake what you can afford to lose. I hope some poor people who want to get rich through gambling read my post and drop the idea. Buy a $2 lottery ticket if you want to have that hope in your heart, but don't put dozens of USD at risk.
1285  Economy / Economics / Re: The whales stirred. What should we expect? on: July 29, 2023, 09:33:25 AM
The crypto whales are on the move! Always a sight to witness, wouldn't you agree? The crypto community is shaken by their actions. Let's take a look into your theories.

Can we now say goodbye to the crypto age? Maybe a little too dramatic for comfort? The cryptosphere has been through many storms, so the awakening of the whales is hardly a signal of impending doom. Second, moving to a new cryptocurrency. It's a possibility. The identity of the asset that a prudent whale would diversify into is currently unknown. "Getting their way" from the regulators? Extremely improbable. Because of their decentralized nature, cryptocurrencies will stubbornly oppose government oversight.

My take? Crypto markets are volatile & these movements are part of the ecosystem's nature

I agree with you. As I said above, those are normal fluctuations. It's not something unusual. Whales moving big funds to exchanges doesn't mean the market is going to crush, it only means that the market is alive. What should we expect? In the nearest future BTC and other major coins may go up or down, we can't say for sure. But what we can be pretty sure about is that in a year BTC will reach its new ATH. That's what I believe because another halving nears, and, as always, it will have a positive impact on the price of BTC and other coins consequently.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: July 26, 2023, 11:52:15 AM
It happens very rare when someone can actually find and report a bug, and I think the rewards for that should be big. In my opinion, it should be like an additional game on the platform: finding and reporting a bug. But again, I think it would be less often than once in a year, if ever, when a bug worth reporting is found.

Front end or UI bugs maybe isn't get a big rewards, if we wants to found a critical bugs we need to be a programmers or like a white hacker.

Even reports of the front end bugs should be rewarded, but, I agree,  it's not something critical so the reward can be small, like $10 maybe.

Since our money under casino provider accounts, they are easy to freeze our money if we are take advantages with that bug. Because take edvantage of it was like a cheating activity, I believe we will hard to withdraw our money after it happens..

If someone left their house open, and someone goes inside and steals something, it's stealing. Taking advantage of a bug to make money and trying to withdraw it is an attempt of stealing, no doubt about that.
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: July 26, 2023, 11:10:20 AM
Making a daily 100$ on an online casino is quiet hard to be honest and it depends much on luck as well as how wise you are when it comes to pick the gambling games. I believe that there’s some strategies that could be safe but it’s not fully guaranteed that you’ll end up in a profit, So basically you need to be lucky as well as smart when placing your bets.

To be honest it won’t be so hard for people who bet with a lot of money, it’ll be easier to make the 100$ a day but you’ll end up losing if you keep betting a lot in just low odds.
That's right. For someone who can afford losing $1,000, winning $100 isn't that hard. For example, you can go to a honest dice site and bet your $1,000 with 1.1 odds. The win chance, 90%, speaks for itself, it is indeed likely that you'll win. But if you keep doing this one day after the other, you know what is also very likely? It is that you'll lose your $1,000 bet after winning $400-$500 cumulatively, $100 at a time, and your profit will be negative. And don't forget that you can lose right away without winning anything, and you can lose the very next bet too. So, if you can't easily afford losing $2k in one day, don't play these games.
People lose bets with even 1.01x odds and you are talking about 1.1x,

I know, right. I remeber jusr recently, like 3 onths ago, a guy lost $1 million with betting on a team that should definitely win with 1.01 odds. He thought he could easily make $10k this way, but lost his million.

so it's never a recommended way of earning money through gambling ~.

I agree. I hope OP reads this and never tries to earn money through gambling. I mean, you can try, we all trying, but with very small amounts, just for fun. It shouldn't be taken like business. It's entertainment, and it's important to understand that.
1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been threaten to stop gambling on: July 26, 2023, 10:38:56 AM
But we don't know for sure if if it's the case in the OP. We know that wife of the OP's friend thinks "he's spending a lot of time gambling". If you gamble 2-3 hours per week it may look to your relatives as "a lot of time". Don't get me wrong, I think that most probably, OP's friend is a problem gambler. I just want to say that that's not necessarily the case.
Gambling 2-3 hours a week is very common because it is very short time. which is 25-26 minutes per day. In this short period of time it is possible to gamble away from people's eyes because gambling can be done very easily on a smartphone and anywhere. by following this strategy no one will become addicted to gambling and no one will even know about it. and it doesn't even require threats from anyone. But if a person gambles for a long time then he becomes addicted and everyone knows about his gambling in which case he may face threats from his relatives or family members

I still think that even if you gamble only 2-3 hours a week, your close ones, especially your wife, should know about it. If you start concealing things, just small things like healthy gambling, you may start concealing bigger things in the future. Turning into addicted gambler from regular gambling is rare, but it can happen, and it's better when close ones know about your problem.

20-30 minutes of gambling a day is nothing serious and dangerous (if it doesn't lead to a desire to gamble and spend more), but if his wife has already encountered gamblers in her life, she may think otherwise. As everyone knows, relatives of alcoholics/drug addicts who have experienced the horrors of severe forms of addiction are extremely negative about even "responsible" use, the same with gambling.

In my opinion, this is most likely the case with the OP's friend.

But where and to whom AI will give the money won, this is also the second important issue in such a process.  Smiley

This is very interesting and important question. Although it is impossible in my opinion, let's suppose such an AI is created. An AI that can beat everyone at the table right away, without learning their play style and stuff for many hours. Since it will be available to everyone, no one will have an advantage, right? So, there will be no one who's winning all the time while others are losing. Everyone will be equal. But, knowing poker players, I'm pretty sure they will find a way to start beating those who use AI. It will be just a matter of time. It can take couple of months but not more than that. That's why online poker will always be an interesting game. Nothing can destroy it, neither ChatGpt, nor a strategy invented by a genius.
1290  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is making a mess of my savings. on: July 25, 2023, 11:45:05 AM

I Think it will be better for those who don't have enough income to enter into dual jobs at a same time so if one salary is not enough then other salary will easily manage one's needs. Getting job is also not easy so try to settle some business in such area where there will not such business present before so it will gives greater profit.
Perhaps, it was the time that we need to look for something that we can earn money in a legal way.  Our expenses are growing and it was hard if our income is still the same. We need to be smart now and work hard or else, we might fall into huge debt. We can do a side hustle to maximize our time and skills, there are a lot of opportunities around us and they are waiting for us. It is just a need for us to push ourselves, we can't be lazy this time as the situation is getting harder and harder.

Those are good words, mate. Indeed, if the purchasing power of your local currency declines, then you have to make more money. Your salary may be increased, like it happens in normal countries, or, if it's not the case in your country, you have to find an additional source of income. It's hard to work on two jobs, no doubt about that, but that's what we should do in times like this.
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: July 25, 2023, 10:55:06 AM
Well, in the end its doesn't matter how many bets I made, my control was really bad at that time. Even though I followed your method, with a bet of $0.2 per spin, my mindset at that time was "free spins = jackpot" LOL. So i think i will run till get the free spins, even I have to take a risk my balance is burned.
Correct me, guys, if I'm wrong here, but I think buying free spins isn't increasing your chance of hitting a jackpot. You have the same odds of hitting it with your regular spins, no?
Sometimes. I feel that sometimes buying free spins provides a chance to hit the jackpot. But it will come back to how good your luck is. I've tried buying free spins on many slot games but not all of them give me satisfactory results and even give me nothing but defeat. But then I decided not to buy the free spins for a while and just go with the regular spins. And sometimes, the results are even better than buying free spins. So buying free spins sometimes pay off well.

If you think of it, buying free spins is just like making higher bets. Once I won $200 with a $0.20 regular spin on a slot, and if I was betting with $20 at that moment, my profit would be $20k, right? Now, if I'd buy a bonus round for $20 back then and won $20k I would be confident that only buying free spins can provide you with such a win. This is what happens with some gamblers, and they spread the word and other people repeat after them.
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: July 25, 2023, 10:25:41 AM
What religion?
What societies?
I don't know where you are from but in some parts of the world, women who gamble are seen as sinners and men, there, can' accept that a woman has the right to gamble and there is nothing wrong about it. I'm not talking about developing countries because in some developed countries men also think the same way. They can't accept the fact that a woman can afford to gamble and assume her responsibility when she loses.

Those are prejudices against women, and, truth to be told, modern educated women don't deserve such an attitude. In fact, some statistics show a completely different picture. This is how it is in the United States:

"Only 2.9 percent of women were found to be problem gamblers, compared to 4.2 percent of men. "
Source: https://fherehab.com/learning/gambling-addiction-men-women/

Probably in other countries it's the other way round, and the data compensate each other, and overall, I think, there's no difference between men and women in regards to gambling.
1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: July 25, 2023, 09:59:12 AM
~
Just a small correction here: if they'll lose, they will not lose everything "back to the house". What they are really losing to the house is the house edge. The rest of their money will be won by other players.
Well, whether they will lose the money back to the house or to other players depends on what game they are playing, the money someone loses in a slot machine, for example, doesn't go to another player but they go to the house, but when someone is playing a multiplayer game such as poker or maybe a tournament where people add money to the pool and then the winner gets all, that is when the lost money goes to another player who has won.

Thanks for your comment, now I can elaborate it more. No. The money lost on slot machines don't go to the house, that's what I wanted to say. If someone loses $100 on a slot, $95 of that amount is won by other players on this slot, and only $5 goes really to the house.

It's definitely right that a person cannot win anything if they are trying to use a strategy to recover their losses, but the strategy will make them lose even more, strategies like martingale might work once or twice but if you keep using them, they won't work all the time and you will eventually lose everything.

That's right. It's not necessarily so, but very likely. But again, all those money will not go to the house. In the case of online dice, for example, only 1% will go to the house and 99% will be won be other players.

No, you don't. If you have a good strategy, just play on your own. If you don't have money for big buy-ins, just start with the small ones. If someone impressed by your poker performance wants to sponsor you, you can take it. But don't ask strangers to sponsor you. It's considered rude, to say the least.
1298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: July 24, 2023, 02:03:18 PM

What I know is that it is not easy to control or help someone that is already an addict and we must try our best to let them know that gambling addiction is something that can be stop with the help of both parties. If a gambler is not ready to stop or too sluggish to put some certains to an end and help to set up a boundary then things is not going to work out well. It is obviously hard for a person to stop gambling when he is already addicted, the best thing to do is to help him reduce the addiction before putting an end to it.

To be honest, I don't know if it's possible to reduce an addiction. A friend of mine, a former gambling addict, once told me that addiction is such a thing that you either have it, or you don't. You can't reduce it. He was cured by a professional, and he has no addiction know, and I'm happy for him, but it's from him that I know that only a good professional can help you to end your addiction.
1299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: July 24, 2023, 01:26:09 PM
~ I'm not saying you should trust every link posted by a famous person. Always be careful. But, theoretically, what could be the point of posting a malicious link?

I might be wrong but those shady casinos pay those influencers directly to get some kind of promotion, and they also offer them earning in the form of referrals, and that's why those influencers post the links of those scam sites because they are getting paid both ways, and they don't mind if the site turns out to be a scam because they already have plans to brainwash their followers when these casinos turn out to be scams.

But those influencers receive big money from different companies they promote if they have big enough followers base. By linking your followers to scam sites you'll lose your followers quickly and it will be extremely hard to restore that, if possible at all. Why take that risk of losing your stable income?

In this date and time those influencers only care about earning money, and that's the only thing they want,~

I don't think so. They wouldn't be influencers then. I think people follow them because they are not like that. There are many fake accounts of known influencers, and that's the problem because they are promoting scams and stuff like that.
