I was thinking of renaming HYP to HYPE

Mintcoin did this. In the early days, it was MNT, then became MINT. Three-letters for the sake of it should be avoided. HYPE is great, it is an English word, is easily recognizable and fits well we the "not-too-serious" aspect of HyperStake - I don't think the meaning of "hype" will underserve HyperStake, by the way. Plus, since it is not launched yet, no need for any renaming for exchanges.

No richlist that we are aware of for TRK. I personally would like Unick to be the one creating the HYP block explorer, since he is most familiar with this - and get some inspiration from some great NOBL richlist, while we're at it.

Yes. You can either dump them, sell them carefully at more than the price you bought them, or just stake them too (you can stake TRK and HYP). TRK will still be PoW, whilst HYP will not.

Ideally, I'd like bounties to be only the consequence of staking. Not that I am greedy, but this would be an experiment too: is staking for bounties economically viable?
Probably this would require more than just us to stake. Some "preferred members" would pledge to redirect part or all of the staking to bounty (we'll set up an address for this). This address itself would stake, of course. So, the bounty address would function as an endowment fund (endowment funds usually not allowed to use their principal sum, only their interest).
Downsides are that you won't have any bounty before first staking plus the usual risk involved with experiment. But I'd like to try it.

Members of the bounty team pledge to redirect at least one part of their own stake to the "stake bounty" address. In order to not corrupt the experiment, they will refrain from sending their principal to the stake bounty address (they can still send some to the "regular generic bounty" address).

If you are talking about Tranz updating Bottlecaps to 200% I will let him answer. If you are talking about Hyperstake, this is NOT a new Bottlecaps. This is different coin, I simply noticed that users of a high-PoS usually are on another one too. Cross-fertilisation if you prefer, since what works for Hyperstake could be ported back to CAP or other coin if the said dev consider it useful.

I agree. The multi-wallet is already a strong selling point (I use HBN for people who know nothing about bitcoin and want to get in and prefer their money not to sleep because I can use the multiwallet for this).

Pourquoi avoir forké une crypto existante?
Après avoir investi dans TruckCoin et constaté que le volume baissait par absence de support du dev, nous avons décidé de prendre les choses en main. Nous offrons à la communauté TRK une chance que ses pièces valent à nouveau quelque chose. Nous avons pris le contrôle de la monnaie via un hard fork volontaire et nous envisageons d'ajouter de nombreuses fonctionnalités avec le temps. Rejoignez-nous dans cette expérience.

Si vous possédez du TRK que vous voulez utiliser en tant que HYP, vous devrez le retirer des échanges et les conserver dans un wallet. Vous trouvez votre wallet.dat dans %APPDATA%Truckcoin (Windows) ou ~/.Truckcoin (Unix).  Copiez ce fichier et placez-le dans le dossier hyperstake (%APPDATA%HyperStake ou ~/.HyperStake). Veuillez notez que ceci ne détruit pas ou ne transfère par vos truckcoins, donc le stake age de vos TRK est conservé. Au final, vous avez doublé vos TRK gratuitement.
Notez que, jusqu'au fork (ce soir), la seule manière d'avoirr des HYP est d'acheter du TRK.

Wallet
Nous publierons un wallet lors du hard fork. Nous stakerons le premier bloc et en feront un checkpoint dand le client, uploaderons dans le repo et proposerons pour tout le monde un wallent flambant neuf.

It will. I run on Arch myself and I am used to create oneliners for wallets. It will probably be something like this:

I assume you are using Windows.
0. Make sure the TRK wallet is closed
1. Win+R to invoke the run command
2. explorer.exe (then enter) to get the explorer window
3. Ctrl+L to select the address bar of the explorer
4. Replace the content of the address bar with %appdata%/truckcoin (then press enter)
5. Copy wallet.dat
6. Ctrl+L again to select the address bar of the explorer
7. Replace the content of the address bar with %appdata%/hyperstake (then press enter)
8. Paste wallet.dat (the one you copied on step 5). You will be prompted for overwriting (since they have the same name). Confim.
9. Open hyperstake wallet. You should get the exact same number of HYP that you had of TRK.

All from memory since I don't have a Windows (and I am a lazy ass who doesn't want to start an VM)

You don't get free HYP, that's all. Remember we are not affiliated with TRK dev. TRK will continue to its own life.
Depends on how long will the grace period be (grace period: time between availability of the HYP wallet and actual forking). I can't tell you the time now. It won't be weeks, that's for sure.
After the transition, you won't have 2000 HYP. You will have 1000 TRK and 1000 HYP. You will keep the same address so you won't be able to multiply the 1000 TRK in several time 1000 HYP. It also means that you will have two different coins with exactly the same address - which is not a problem since you won't be using the same daemon once the hardfork is done. Much like having two machines called 192.168.0.5 is no problem in two different companies.

It is possible than HYP is already taken. Please tell us if this is the case.

We have some plans to mitigate the 750% rate. The truckcoin dev is not on board but he is welcomed to help in any way he sees fit.

Remember: this coin is a succession of experiments, things can change, even the interest rate, min age, whatever. Even more than with other altcoins, don't put money you cannot afford to lose. There is a reason why this is the bleeding edge

You can TRK on bittrex or allcoin. Probably the price of TRK will explode tomorrow and will fall by Monday, that's a side effect of this mode of distribution.

To be clear: in order to get some HYP (hyperstake) Sunday evening, you need your TRK to be in your wallet, not on exchange. This is because a copy of TRK's wallet.dat will be used for you starting HYP. You will not lose you TRK (save for transaction fees). You can even bring them back to the exchange after that.

Since HYP is pure PoS, the only way to get HYP for the moment is to mine or buy TRK.

Could a "pool of whales" act as benevolent market makers? I understand nothing about market making but if I have a good teacher and I can help TEK this way, I am ready to volunteer (I have several thousands TEK, although I am not willing to sell them all, only 25% of my stake every month).
