GCInc., are you considering a withdrawal grace period for deposits made before the fees were implemented?

Hey Graviton... does your trading software allow for people to place orders with 0 NXT?

Just saw some weird trades go by... I would suspend trading if I were you!?!

I saw the same thing and came straight here.  I hope he's on it.

How is the price determined?

Right now, XCP are being rewarded to those that burn BTC at a price between 1500 XCP/BTC and 1000 XCP/BTC. The exact formula is:
XCP_EARNED = BTC_BURNED * (1000 * (1 + .5 * ((END_BLOCK - CURRENT_BLOCK) / (END_BLOCK - START_BLOCK))

Thank you PhantomPhreak.  I would need both bitcoind and counterpartyd running?  It sounds like there are plans to have intermediaries do the burning for people soon so they don't have to set this up?

Is there any sign of DGEX implementing a grace period for NXT withdrawals without the 1.2% fee?

And thanks for the 'screen' recommendation as well; looks interesting I'm going to study that.

After installing screen, you would type 'screen' which will open the new screen, then you would launch NRS in there, then hit Ctrl+a+d to detach and get out of your screen, then 'screen -r' to reattach to the NRS screen, and you can go back and forth like that.  If you aren't sure if there is a screen running or not, you can use 'screen -ls' to find out.  If there is one running, 'screen -ls' will also tell you whether you are detached from or attached to that screen.

It's dead simple and really useful.

What ever happened with rickyjames vs. EpicThomas.  Did he pay up?

This may be a simple solution, but my node running on Digital Ocean seems to stop every time I close my Putty window.  I didn't have this problem in the past.  Any ideas?

I suggest installing and running "screen" to prevent this.  It's a great program.

I think OP has been spending too much time in the troll box in BTC-E

LOL!  Busted....

Good vibes anyway.

The markets often dip a little of weekends, but not crash.

OK, how about timing the dip?  Saturday?  Sunday?  I have a chunk of BTC to buy and I'd like to ratchet up my odds for grabbing the best price.

Also it doesn't help the price when the source is released, and the first things being said are that there are 3 major, fatal flaws with it. If that doesn't stop a buyer, I don't know what will.

I agree.  That wasn't done properly.

I disagree. Those bounties will help find other potential flaws in code more than any occasional code reviewer.

I agree with you there.  It's the PR aspect that wasn't handled properly.

I've read there is a pretty consistent weekend crash every week.  Has anyone figured out when is the best time to take advantage of it?

Would you kindly suggest how to deal with the missing 800k NXT please?

Charge fees.  But announce them ahead of time.  You can still implement a grace period for those who deposited under the old fee schedule.  Otherwise you risk ruining your reputation and losing a lot of money long-term.  You will be much worse off if you follow through with a short-sighted cash grab.
1317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: January 03, 2014, 03:53:10 PM
DGEX is a business and they can charge whatever they want.  BUT accepting deposits under the pretense of a 0% withdrawal fee and then changing that to a 1.2% withdrawal fee after the deposits have been received and with no notice is just WRONG.

OK, it sounds like 100 may be the functional max.  Many thanks.
