yeah hoping MINT will pick up soon. i dont see why not

when it starts going up all of those sell orders will disappear when the price gets to them.  Cheesy

Mintcoin is perfect, but the goal is difficult.

I wouldn't say the coin is perfect , everything ha a flaw , after all the coin is made by a human.
But , what goal are you talking about?
13142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BLAKE-256] DIRAC (XDQ) - Advanced Finance on: May 21, 2014, 06:35:29 PM
https://cryptocointalk.com/forum/1446-dirac-xdq/

I've added the official forum on CryptoCoinTalk to the OP.

If anyone has any questions I'll be happy to answer them there.

Posting here makes me feel like I should take a shower.  No wonder people think every coin here is a scam... this forum is where all coin scams come from.

With this way of talking I'm pretty sure you're doing this coin a great "favor" Smiley.

I'm not getting this  , there will be only 50 people that will receive stakes?
And this by the first come first served principle?

50 is a bit to little, I would have said 200 or 300 at least.
13144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN](HMC)HUMANCOIN-X11 - POS - A COIN FOR HUMAN - 2 pow+2 pos join us on: May 21, 2014, 06:02:40 PM
do not. instamined. windows client released before source. dev didnt release source until too late. 0 reward blocks. dev not even on IRC.

Seems like this was one messy launch.
But it is indeed human nature to make such tricks for a few quick bucks.

If all about the instamine is true i do hope nobody will buy this even for 1 satoshi.

13145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] (WC) | WhiteCoin | ☯ www.whitecoinfoundation.org ☯whitecoin.info ☯ on: May 21, 2014, 06:00:04 PM
Whitecoin crashed before it could get pumped. When it first hit Mintpal we saw 1000BTC+ volume for days. Technical difficulties caused the train to derail. The old dev team bailing didn't help either. Now that the coin is fixed and has a new dev team I see huge potential for this coin. Don't worry about the price.

When you say "don't worry about the price" , this is what most people will rush to check. Smiley

blackcoin wath  Wink

and my idea to make blackcoin evolving in switzerland
http://www.reddit.com/r/blackcoin/comments/264683/evolve_blackcoin_in_switzerland/

The watch looks pretty good.
Is there a shop you can buy that thing ? Having products dedicated to the coin will bring a lot of publicity plus it will make a lot of friends interested in the coin when they see that stuff.
13147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: May 21, 2014, 05:53:43 PM
#3 in volume on Mintpal. When there's a seller, there's a buyer.  Smiley

That's one of the things about market but it also depends a lot on how much are the buyers offering and how much of a hodlers athe the sellers.
Big volume can bring low price just as easily.
13148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BDG][BADGERCOIN] POW MULTIPOOL X11/Scrypt/SHA256 - POS LIVE - 5 EXCHANGES on: May 21, 2014, 05:51:48 PM

13150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: May 21, 2014, 05:48:56 PM
I don't want Qora added to an exchange just yet. We need a 100% stable release.

This.
If the coins gets added and there is some FUD spreading about a "bug' the price will drop like a stone and maybe even trigger the exchange to de list the coin.

Although I am so eager to buy some coin (depending on the price) I would only touch a tested and proof to work correctly coin.

13151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SYNC]X11 | POS| 1,000 Coins| 1 day mining left| NOW ON MINTPAL on: May 21, 2014, 05:46:24 PM
WE'RE GOING TO MOON !!! Cheesy holy shit we're gonna get 5 btc soon and everyone is gonna go crazy

Seems like the rocket is getting in the opposite way.
That drop was huge , why would people sell that much on the listing?
13152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC] AsiaCoin | Back on all Exchanges | BOUNTIES! | Multipool Ready on: May 21, 2014, 05:43:46 PM
hello

sorry for being lazy could some one tell me why asia is on the rise, id like to invest

switch to the 1 week period on mintpal and you're going to see that the rise is actually a recovery.

13154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: May 21, 2014, 05:36:24 PM

Apart from quoting a scammer or a troll :0 you have to agree that the market cap is going down , down and down.
I remember it being 4x times bigger a few months ago.

And this with an increasing number of coins on the market.
The same stood for Bitcoin itself for the whole 3 months. Is it dead?

If you compare bitcoin to maxcoin...I'm not sure if you're trolling or just being plain P.J. Fry.
Look on how the rats fled from the ship and only a few bagholder keep dreaming and look what happend in the bitcoin area.

The price went down but services after services are opened and millions invested, in case of maxcoin?
13155  Other / Politics & Society / Re: VISA & MASTERCARD blocked Russians from accessing their money on: May 21, 2014, 05:33:54 PM
Doesn't seem to banned to me.

Because it isn't. It is restricted, but not banned.

That was my point. Lots of fake or incorrectly translated "news" that spread a lot of false information.
And some people take from granted single posts of some blogs or forums.

In case of Thailand even the central bank and the government changed their view a few months ago.
Waiting for China to do their 180 move also.

nice ninja relaunch  Grin
(nobody on the thread and we are already at block 3902  Grin nice instamine dev  Grin)

I'm sorry that I didn't mention that we announced RatCoin on May 18th, but because we had an early start, way too early, we worked on some things. And today we re-announced RatCoin.
From that day May 18th people kept mining on pools till now. I just updated the post.

My bad for not mentioning this. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I mined a bit of Rat on the first day of launch (May 18th)  the last thread had 4 pages before it got deleted.  The first day there was about 10 GH on the network.  The largest person mining in the pool I used had just under 1 GH.

The thread didn't get deleted

It's still there just that the op is splaying with the announces. Doesn't look to professional at all.
13157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NobleCoin[NOBL] - **NOBL/$USD@VoS**MARKETPLACE/BULLION**50 CHARITIES/MERCHANTS** on: May 21, 2014, 03:46:56 PM
Any serious problem for NOBL coin ?
I cannot understand why the price comming down......now 31 on mintpal, 29 polo......
BTC is rising, many sell alts to bank on the rise.

It makes no sense at long as you're not converting to fiat...
You hold 1000 coins worth 1btc.
If the rate between alt/btc doesn't change then you will gain in usd terms just as much , without converting.

Furthermore , most of the times when btc spikes a bit the lats follow the trend.

Back to noble , I have no idea why a coin like this is dropping.
Probably it's best to just hodl and do our best.

Frankly, a lot people are converting to fiat and this is impacting a lot of the alt-currencies out there.

Regarding what you said, I think a little bit more elaboration needs to be made regarding growth of alts in regards to fiat. When BTC goes up, alts tend to sit at the current fiat price (some will take a slight dip though). This causes the ALT/BTC price to dip accordingly, then once BTC "stabilization" occurs, alts tend to grow in fiat value also (markets tend to even out), so accordingly the ALT/BTC price rises accordingly.

Because of this, there are some willing to take the risk to deviate from sound market strategy to capitalize on the dip and rise. It actually functions as a type of prolonged arbitrage strategy, although there is significant risk involved.

Sorry , but I can't agree on this one.
During the December rally I made more out of alts than out of btc.

Same from the small price rise at the beginning of the year.
It's probable that right now there are too many alts and the money are getting dispersed so a rally can't really stop , but it wasn't like that in the past.

13158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCH CANCELLED] ShinyCoin : new PoW algorithm : PoS : info transactions on: May 21, 2014, 03:44:35 PM
And now it's canceled?  The relaunch should compensate those of us who mined the first time. Some people spent good money on AWS instances for this.

Very uncool.

Compensate for what?
You invested in a project , do you think that this a "we all make money" scheme?

You just mined the wrong coin , like I did tens of times.
Get over it.
13159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Motocoin - Proof of Play (human mineable) cryptocurrency. Launched 20 May. on: May 21, 2014, 03:42:17 PM
Proof of play new idea! When playing game , we earn coin!

It's indeed a great idea , but when I think about there are lots of games (and more elaborate games like rpg) which allow you to earn coins and items that you can exchange for money with other players.

Seems like diablo 3 has done this even one step further.

It will be great to see an rpg game doing the same with a cryptocoin.
13160  Other / Politics & Society / Re: VISA & MASTERCARD blocked Russians from accessing their money on: May 21, 2014, 03:39:56 PM
Thailand hasn't banned anything related to bitcoin , they were just poor translated news and China hasn't banned bitcoin usage just trading.

My source is Bitlegal.

Quote
Thailand’s stance on Bitcoin is difficult to understand. In late 2013, the Bank of Thailand and the Foreign Exchange Administration and Policy Department of Thailand informed the largest Thai exchange that most Bitcoin-related activities, including commerce, exchange, and remittance to be illegal

Also, see this:
