13921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question: Can The Same "Gox Bug" Affect Altcoins? on: February 10, 2014, 04:50:42 PM
Depends what you mean by flaw.

The flaw that gox is blaming lies in their client not in the bitcoin protocol. That's why other exchangers are now affected.

The so called bug they are referring in the protocol which is harmless unless a idiot is using bitcoin , is in all the alt coins.
So , if the guys at cryptsy are running the same software as gox while being on the same level of idiocy  , a lots of the alts will share the "benefits". .
13922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Milions of dollars drained from Bitcoin wallet over the weekend on: February 10, 2014, 04:46:29 PM
"Ive been watching this bank account on UBS over the weekend and they've taken out all their Euros. Millions of Euros. Anyone know who/why they could be doing that?"

... You care because...?

hahahahahaha  yeah we care.  With bitcoin we see all.  No more little secrets in that UBS bank account my friend.

So what if you can see everything? Do you entertain yourself by watching other people's BTC wallet transactions?

My point exactly.

A new trend is born , Bitcoin watching. At least is less harmful that hidden cams or up skirts fetishes some people have..
13923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you think about Bitcoin Future ? on: February 10, 2014, 04:42:16 PM
As you can see now the US / Russia / Phili are starting to have law apply on Bitcoin

How far you think bitcoin can go ? Diff are getting harder , Gorverment are giving Pressure .

And Bitcoin can actually bring chaos to the Real world economy if it grown too big .

I don't see anything bad coming from applying the laws. It will pull bitcoin out of the dark , since most people think it's computer money used to buy drugs.

The difficulty has nothing to do with this.

And about the Chaos thing , do you use bitcoin to buy things on SR? If so , stop.
13924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Explain the gox transaction malleability issue like you are five on: February 10, 2014, 04:38:39 PM
for those who own btc with gox, it seems like the issue is going to be the extent to which gox "re-issued" bitcoin deliveries to customers bc the recipients lied and said they had not received it.  if there were many double deliveries, then gox may not have the bitcoin to pay remaining owners all the bitcoin to which they are entitled.  a few issues/questions come to mind:

1. why the other exchanges are not having the same problem
2. would mtgox be able to figure out which customers claimed failed delivery but lied, and were then paid twice.
3. it seems like the gox omnibus acct should net out even at the end of the day.  double deliveries would raise red flags (one would think) when all has been netted

Because other exchangers aren't being run by fairies dancing around the magical pot of bitcoins when the owner is drunk dead in the basement ?
13925  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinDesk Removes Mt. Gox from Bitcoin Price Index on: February 10, 2014, 04:34:46 PM

One small step and the first kick in the ass from the many gox deserves.
13926  Other / Off-topic / Re: Karpeles - What will his fate be? on: February 10, 2014, 04:30:53 PM
Death by firing squad. Jokes. I think he should be glued to that exercise ball and dropped from a height of about 5 foot until he starts crying.

But how about the people who still believed in his goxhoax even after all the signals and helped him not disappearing from the crypto scene.
They are equally to blame for the proportions of the disaster.

13927  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: February 10, 2014, 04:27:44 PM
Baaaaaawwwwwww you were hoping for an investment which is risk-free and you did not get it, cry some moar yank.

Care to join some other get-rich-quick schemes?

How 'bout the person that got some cheap btc on btc-e today. Went down to $102 for a minute. Not sure how big the orderbook on btc-e is (or was) but it must have been a lot of coins!

it will be below 100 usd, very quickly

You missed the train , or the dump.
You won't be seeing under 100$ unless there is another idiot who panic sells without even checking.
13928  Economy / Services / Re: Earn up to 0.8BTC/month just by posting! - Advertise for PrimeDice.com! *Updated on: February 10, 2014, 04:23:46 PM
even with given time i don think its possible to reach 4000 post lol
but if some one give 10 to 12 hours daily and try to post 150 daily then may be possible

If he is putting in 10 hours a day. This is a waste of time. He makes 0.8 which is 550 at current prices. 10 hours a day is 300 hours a month. This means he earns $1.83/hr.  Pretty dumb 'job' choice. He could be making 5x that amount doing an unskilled job. Quite pathetic on Stunnas behalf for such low pays.

0.8 of 550 is 440 not 300. Not even considering how did you end up with a 550 price , you should redo your maths.

Can someone please give me the skinny on what went down and why I see 102 as the low from 7 hours ago?

People panicking and thinking bitcoin is broken due to the Clowns press release , then somebody didn't look how many buy orders were in when he dumped on btc-e.
13931  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 10, 2014, 04:13:57 PM
Bitstamp is back to the niveau before the Gox news Smiley

A lot of pigs got slaughtered.

I'm just wondering if the one who sold 8.5k BTC with a market order on BTC-E taking the price down to $102 is a mentally challenged trader who went full retard or just a poor guy who got his account hacked.

He lost MILLIONS to the lucky bastards that had bids down to $100 on BTC-E. Somebody six-folded his money in a couple of seconds.

Are you implying anything? =))))
13932  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 10, 2014, 04:13:05 PM
It's time to get nervous again, bears.

ZOMFG! We dropped to 530 on Stamp.

You forgot?

One week ago this forum was full of: ToDAMOOn slaughting Bears roflcoptr 500$ Coins will never come. 10.000$ n3xt week.

I think it's a good chance that this was the last big drop, but who knows?

...caution is an alien on this board.

Market crashed. 10 Minutes after they are posting dead bears.

Mentally handicapped?

Ok bears, you've got your 6 hours of paranoia , now back to hibernation .

Feels like the end of the DarkAges. Smiley
Should we stop using the term Gox and replace it with Clown ?

Or go back to MagicTheGatheringOnlineeXchange

Well , at least today they stood up for their name. They made so many coins and dollars disappear with one single magic trick.
13934  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt.gox story on: February 10, 2014, 04:07:02 PM
withdraws are open.
So MtGox  back to "normal"

Now we must just wait for settle the whole mess.

For mtgox back to "normal" means back like they were before , a total mess.

I'm sure they'll continue to operate exactly as before. People need to learn from this and get their money and coins out ASAP and take their custom elsewhere.

Good luck hoping for that. People tend to not learn form the first mistake , and when being lured by high prices they seem to forget everything.
They don't need just to be burned but also grilled , deep fried and iced before they learn a lesson and not use gox again
13935  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox Ponzi, next stop under $100 coins. Gox Bucks=$0 on: February 10, 2014, 04:03:55 PM
Mt. Gox is a possible ponzi scheme. No one can get anything rite now, and no one is beig held accountable.

Not a Ponzi scheme. They just played and lost everyone's BTC and USD (although I am sure they intended to play and win), so they had to replace them with Goxcoin and Goxbux.......

.......and now they can't pay everyone back.

Perhaps if the price can be crashed to $100 or something, Mr Karpeles can get back the BTC that he needs to level with Gox's customer base and make some profit for all his great efforts, and then everyone will be happy, right?

They sound like a bank. What did they actually do with the money?

What almost every people who have suddenly found themselves immersed in cash do. Spend it around like morons. (one possibility).

I heard there's a MEOW pump on Tuesday.

Source?

Do you really think it will be on the wall street journal?

13938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.5 Released! on: February 10, 2014, 03:55:29 PM
Is this real possible to hit 0.1$, or even 1$, what you think?
I trust in it, but just wondering.

Everything is possible. But it depends a lot on how much 1$ will be worth at that time.
13939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.5 Released! on: February 10, 2014, 03:54:46 PM
I think Doge will be the next 3rd largest Crypto after #BTC & #LTC soon within 2014 its price will touch $1. A coming inflation is reduce its value for a certain period but Doge will survive with its all strength of good community.

If prices touch 1$ per doge , it will be 5 times bigger than Bitcoin , so either drop the 3rd coin prediction or redo your computations Smiley.
13940  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC = $500 in February on: February 10, 2014, 03:52:17 PM
Not really.
Unfortunately it may look as a scam as it is not legit, but it won't be a scam, so I will create a new account  Undecided
Between, I got only one account here for the time being, shideneyu is me. Type my nickname on google, you will find my life.
But you don't care. So do i

You make me spit non sense indeed
