1321  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcment: Brand-new miner EMIC PowerModule - 5.65 TH/s on: December 24, 2014, 07:12:16 AM
EMIC will be the first ever company to introduce 20nm ASIC chips to their miners.

No you aren't.
1322  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] SP20 Spondoolies by Dabs on: December 24, 2014, 06:55:34 AM
Yeah, it's getting hotter. But I can live with that.

Can you show the full ASIC page and the wall watt meter?
1323  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] SP20 Spondoolies by Dabs on: December 24, 2014, 06:38:58 AM
Getting under .4 watts a gh with a cold room heavy underclock high fan is possible.

But he's not running it in a cold room. His intake is around 30c.
1324  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] SP20 Spondoolies by Dabs on: December 24, 2014, 06:08:02 AM
When you say "at the wall" you mean using an external watt meter?

Here's a pic:

Here's an update, I upgraded to latest firmware 2.5.57 and tried some more undervolting. At 0.59, some chips refused to start working, or would turn off after half an hour. So I just used 0.6, bumped up the fans to 100% and let it run for a few hours, then took pictures of the watt meter.

Quote
Temp Front / Back T,B    28 °C / 40,39 °C
Fan Speed    100
Start Voltage    0.6 / 0.6 / 0.6 / 0.6
Max Voltage    0.6
Max Watts    120 / 120 / 120 / 120

Hardware Version    SP20E Jackson
FW Version    2.5.57
CGMiner Version    cgminer4.7.0

754.63 GH/s

5 min GH/s 869.91386

That's 321.7 watts, at the meter.

How did you go from 427 watts @ .625 volts to 321 watts @ .6 volts???
1325  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: December 24, 2014, 02:34:35 AM
Anybody who thinks you can run 3 x 600v/13A circuits thru one of these little suckers deserves what they get

Talk about OVERCLOCKING.
1326  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [***Legendary GroupBuy***] SP20 - most efficient miner - ~0.5W/GH - 0.295$/GH on: December 24, 2014, 02:27:57 AM
What was the ROI in fiat from HODL'ers who invested a year ago?  I'd say miners fared better than HODL'ers in the past 12 months...

You get the most fiat by having the most bitcoins. Always calculate your ROI in bitcoins.
1327  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recovery program beginning in January for PB Mining customers. on: December 24, 2014, 02:24:28 AM
It's about time for PBMining to announce the classic "We've been hacked!"

~0.5W/GH - 0.295$/GH

It's too bad you had to resort to deceitful advertising. This was a good deal without fudging the numbers.

You cannot get .5 J/GH and $.295/GH. If you run this at .5 J/GH you will be paying over $.6/GH.
1329  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Technobit HEX4R - 850GH RockerBox based miner on: December 23, 2014, 07:22:53 PM
I was wondering if 1W/GH is good or bad at today's standards.

Bad, very bad. I was running .9 more than a year ago.

Edit:
Here's the numbers for 1 J/GH per 1 TH/s:

Income: $4.30
Expense: $3.60 @ .15/kwh

Only 16% of the income is left after electricity costs.
1330  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Spondoolies SP20 review - A Green miner with a Loud fan on: December 23, 2014, 06:12:29 PM
I would not leave such a powerfull fan open, it can seriously injure a finger.

While it could hurt, it is an exhaust fan. Far less dangerous than an intake fan.
1331  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 22, 2014, 11:05:35 PM
Duh, the business is bankrupt.  Hello?

In America, bankruptcy is not a crime and you are presumed innocent.

That's an impressive failure! Most businesses are able to satisfy at least 1 customer! 0% success rate. Wow.
1332  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 22, 2014, 08:11:42 PM
You just can't get over the fact that no criminal acts were perpetrated

I'll ask this again. Can you name a single customer that received everything they ordered, including MPP?
1333  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: The New Standard, 0.51J/G, Shipping on December 27th on: December 22, 2014, 05:38:36 PM
The S5 does have a clear advantage for some people. The fan noise. Some just can't deal with the SP20 noise.
1334  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recovery program beginning in January for PB Mining customers. on: December 22, 2014, 05:12:52 PM
Where is the proof it is a Ponzi/Scam?

Payments to old customers were made from payments received from new customers. That's the pure definition of a ponzi.
1335  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: December 22, 2014, 04:34:35 PM
i'm at 0.46591970121382 w/gh on the same settings. not too shabby.

just having a tinker with the SP31 too... got it to 0.49w/gh so far.... 0.45925925925926 w/gh

settling on this for the SP20

http://www.rgspix.com/SP20under.jpg

That's not the at-wall wattage.
1336  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: December 21, 2014, 07:37:20 PM
Over a year & this is STILL going on  Shocked

Makes BFL look like angels, don't it................  Angry

Sure, they're both horrible, but BFL started taking pre-orders well before BA did.
1337  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] SP20 Spondoolies by Dabs on: December 21, 2014, 01:04:29 AM
See I prefer a Pre-set GUI like the CCD, I would have to open one up and find out where temp sensors were and mess about with fan settings, What if someone was to put in an incorrect number by accident, Would it overheat, cause chip damage?

No, when the temp starts getting too high, it downclocks. In fact the default settings are too high for most people and it downclocks for just about everyone. The manual settings are really there for when you want to slow it down on purpose, such as using a small PSU or maximizing efficiency.
1338  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] SP20 Spondoolies by Dabs on: December 20, 2014, 10:56:32 PM
This is looking good, Waiting for the rest of the review, I was always a bitmain person, I like the low power option, Is it selectable or do you have to tweak? Would like your opinion on noise too.

Might nab some if they are good for my needs/space

Super easy to type it in. Hit the miner's webpage and adjust the "Maximum Voltage (0.580-0.790)" down a few hundredths. The noise is significant, but I don't mind it because I don't stay in the same room as the miners.
1339  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review 10] Spondoolies SP20 - Tortured on: December 20, 2014, 10:37:59 PM
opening the unit voids something .. not sure what ..

1340  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Building a 900,000 GH/S Farm on: December 20, 2014, 08:51:11 PM
Does not change the fact of the matter that Bitmain is no longer aggressively competing on cost for the home mining market.

Exactly. SPTech has been aggressive on price drops lately, putting them at the forefront of quality and price. Too bad the current exchange rate makes ROI difficult.
