1. Anyone used a bitcoin atm? Can deposit money from there into my bianance account?
Depends on the ATM. Some will send the Bitcoin directly to the wallet you provide, so you can get your Binance deposit address QR code and let the ATM scan it for you. Others will give you a code that can be redeemed in the ATM's website. Just use the same Bitcoin deposit address and the coins will arrive in your Binance account.

2. All of this hacking and phishing is getting annoying any videos or recommendations on how to protect my computer and crypto ? I've never been hacked just want to take precautions
Check every link you dare to click. Google is full of malicious ads looking for new victims. You may be searching "Binance" and end up clicking in a fake ad which will lead you to a fake version of Binance. If you enter your username and password in those fake websites, bye bye coins. Also don't download unknown executables. Always verify the integrity of the file.

3. When you sign up for an ICO how does the process of you getting your tokens go?
Depends on the ICO. Most of the new "Ethereum based ICO's" will either ask you for your ETH address or send the tokens to the address which the ETH came from. There should be instructions in each ICO website with more details.

4. Why is there so little ICO in the USA will this continue to decrease?
Probably because they are scarred of the SEC coming after them. You should read those articles:

13382  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Restore a Ledger Nano Bitcoin wallet on a Ledger Nano S on: January 13, 2018, 07:10:07 AM
I have a Nano S and I've lost the black card (security card) with the cipher. I know my 24 seed words and my pin, can I restore my wallet on a new Nano S? I've spent 15 hours trying to do a firmware update on 5 computers with 4 different OS's and tried restoring it on a Mycelium, nothing is working and I can see the funds, just not retrieve them. Thank you, I'd really appreciate knowing if I can just buy a nano S! Ledger customer service hasn't even responded to my support ticket for 3 weeks now!
The 24 words phrase is everything you need to restore your wallet in a new device. If you don't know how, this guide with pictures may help you[1].

13383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash Lost?? on: January 13, 2018, 06:38:40 AM
So you never requested a withdrawal of your BCH and they just vanished from your Coinbase account? Do you see any BCH transaction in your transactions history?

You having sent your Bitcoins to a Ledger Wallet (Segwit or not) shouldn't have nothing to do with your Bitcoin Cash. This makes me think that this is an issue with Coinbase and they are the only ones that may help you.
13384  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Nicehash.com a shit or what? on: January 13, 2018, 04:29:23 AM
Indeed, current network require high fees to deposit and $18 in btc isn't a big amount.
However, I didn't know about this deposit and here about their fees;
- Non-refundable new order fee   0.0001 BTC
- Payouts for balances less than 0.1 to external wallet   5%
- Payouts for balances greater than or equal to 0.1 BTC to external wallet   3%
- Payouts for balances greater than or equal to 0.001 BTC to NiceHash wallet   2%

Those are the fees if you are selling hashing power. OP (if I understood correctly, - since his post is a bit confusing) requested a withdrawal, which fees are the following:

ToAmountFee
Any BTC wallet(From 0.011 (min) to 0.2 BTC)0.001 BTC
Any BTC wallet(More than 0.2 BTC)0.5% of withdrawn amount
Coinbase(More than 0.001 BTC)FREE - No fee.

Source: https://www.nicehash.com/help/fees

In his case, he earned something like ~0.001X BTC and lost 0.001 in fees. Ending with ~0.000X;

After a few Google searches, I found a lot of good reviews about Nanopool and issues about dwarfpool.

Took this from reddit:
Quote
I'm two months in on Nanopool and haven't had any issues and happy. The thing I can't figure out is since I've started, it continues to take 4-5 days to mine .2 ETH even though I've added 50 Mh/s (3 Gpus) to my rigs. 1 rig running 4 rx 580s on Ethos and another 2 1070s on windows for a total of 170Mh/s... I keep track of my earnings and back when I only had 1 rig with 3 RX 580s it was still 5 days. Anyone know what's going on?
https://www.reddit.com/r/EtherMining/comments/6o9gs9/nanopool_vs_dwarfpool/

And from Eth's forum:
Quote
Nanopool seems like a reliable earner, good stats per rig, etc..
With dwarfpool I could use my stratum proxy which gives a few extra % income (about 7%) so I am using that.
https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/4575/nanopool-vs-dwarfpool-vs-ethpool

Anyways, I would just create a thread in the "Mining (Altcoins)" or "Pools (Altcoins)" board as people should be able to answer you better there.
13386  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Logged in to wallet but lost seed and access to 2FA on: January 13, 2018, 01:21:26 AM
I'm glad I didn't listen to you. I emailed their support, and they provided me with a new 2FA QR code. Minutes later, I was able to get my coins off. If you don't know about a certain issue, then just don't say anything.
ROFL. How did they provide you with a 2FA QR Code? How would their 2FA be safe if anyone can easily "email their support" and get a 2FA code? And who exactly did you emailed?

And yes, I know what I'm talking about.

What happens if I lose my cell phone?
If you lose your cell phone your only option is to restore your wallet from it's seed phrase. During the restore process you will be given the option to either (1) disable 2FA or (2) provision a new 2nd factor device.

and segwit wallet only start with 3 right ? then only I can find out that destination also using segwit
Segwit addresses may start with a 3 or bc1. But not every address starting with a 3 is a Segwit one.
13388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: HELP....I sent BCH from Coinbase to HitBTC...I sent BCH to USD on HitBTC. on: January 12, 2018, 07:43:29 PM
If I understood correctly, you sent BCH to your USDT deposit address. Is that right?

If that's the case, you will need to contact HitBTC's support and ask for help. According to this page[1], they may be able to recover your BCH but it will cost you $100 and it could take up to 2 months.

13389  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Online bitcoin wallet for bitpay on: January 12, 2018, 07:11:11 PM
You can get the address and amount of the invoice by going to this URL:

https://bitpay.com/invoice-noscript?id=INVOICE-ID

To grab the ID, just go to the "Copy" tab and copy the Bitpay payment URL. That's the ID: bitcoin:?r=https://bitpay.com/i/XXXXXXXXXXX
13390  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum users must upgrade to 3.0.5 if they haven't already. on: January 12, 2018, 07:00:34 AM
Yes. You should update your Electron Cash (forked version for Bitcoin Cash) to the version 3.1.1 and (even that I'm not sure) the Electrum-LTC to the latest version, which is 3.0.5.1.
13391  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will the Ledger Nano S support future blockchains? on: January 12, 2018, 05:36:34 AM
Nobody knows. I would say that they are always looking forward to support more promising coins and that they will keep supporting the Ledger Nano S for some time after the release of a new device. Trezor for example, just released a new model (Trezor T) that will make supporting new coins easier. But they also announced that they won't stop supporting their old model (at least for some time).

This is Ledger's roadmap: https://trello.com/b/5nQ1mdzt/ledger-roadmap

(no mentions to Raiblocks at the moment, but NEO also wasn't listed and was added to the wallet after the support was developed by an independent dev. The same can happen with XRB)

Edit: Just found this on reddit from the Ledger CEO about Raiblocks:

Quote
As soon as you have a production ready solution please notify us and we'll proceed to the integration. If you are not already on our Developer Slack send me a PM with your email so I can invite you. We'll create a private channel there to help you on the development.

13392  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: nano s on: January 12, 2018, 04:58:18 AM
The easiest and fastest way would actually be by using ShapeShift.io

Just select "Bitcoin Cash" -> "The crypto you want" and you can exchange them by sending your BCH to ShapeShift's address and after a few minutes, receiving the coins in your desired address. If the crypto you want isn't available at ShapeShift, simple send your BCH to an exchange like Binance.com, sell your BCH for BTC and buy the desired altcoin.
13393  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Unofficial] Exodus Wallet | Multi-Currency | Built-in Exchange on: January 12, 2018, 03:19:42 AM
If you don't setup the backup & you're depositing coins, is Exodus operating without private keys?
Obviously not. The keys are already there when you first create your wallet. Otherwise, how would you have a deposit address?

That's why it's called a backup. It's only helping you make sure that you can create the same keys in the future if your PC breaks or something goes wrong.

Just understand one thing: ONLY YOU have access to your private-keys as they aren't stored anywhere online.
13394  Other / Meta / Re: where can find bitcointalk User id? on: January 11, 2018, 09:47:18 PM
Just click your name right next to your post and check the URL.
Or go to your profile, click "Show the last posts of this person" and look at the URL.

You will see your ID at "u=XXXXXXX", which in you case, is: 1666556

POST ANSWERED. Please close the thread or this will soon get infested with newbies spamming the same thing.
13395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you know that you have been quoted? on: January 11, 2018, 09:33:18 PM
No. Something I do sometimes is to go to the forum frontpage and search my name in the searchbox. It doesn't work everytime, but you can see a few posts where you got quoted.

And before you ask, there is no "someone quoted you" notification in the forum.

You can't. The only kind of "notification" you can enable is the notification on new posts in a specific thread or forum board.

This feature will probably be available in the new forum software that should be releasing in the future. No ETA yet
13396  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: bitwala wallet on: January 11, 2018, 07:11:39 PM
mate thanks are there any way figure out the fee required for segwit wallet ? there are lots of site for legacy wallet but nothing for segwit wallet
You can calculate the size and recommended fee of a transaction by using this website: https://coinb.in/#fees

Just select the number of inputs (segwit) and outputs of your transaction.
13397  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: bitwala wallet on: January 11, 2018, 06:55:09 PM
Just create your wallet and segwit will be used by default (you can see as the address starts with a 3).

Fees will be lower than a legacy address, but still pretty high while the network is congested.
13398  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Unofficial] Exodus Wallet | Multi-Currency | Built-in Exchange on: January 11, 2018, 06:28:50 PM
Sorry, little confused - Not sure if we're talking about different keys or not.

Are you saying without setting up the backup the wallet is functioning without private keys for deposited coins? - I'm curious as to how these keys are recovered with an online backup.
There is no backup hosted anywhere. The 12 word phrase is your backup and your keys are generated with them. Exodus doesn't know your word phrase.

You can read more here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mnemonic_phrase

does anyone have an idea why BAT and Golemn is not avalible atm?

and if yes when will it be available again?
Both are already supported according to Exodus' roadmap. I also opened the wallet to confirm and it's there.
13399  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: My BTC TXs have a relatively large size compared to others. on: January 11, 2018, 01:36:47 AM
After getting a little deeper in understood that P2SH transactions are bigger in size that P2PKH

Any way to get around that without giving up my 2FA wallet?
No. The other way would be to use a service that offers 2FA for your account (and not the address itself). But this would means that you (probably) wouldn't control your keys.
13400  Other / Meta / Re: How to Change User name on: January 10, 2018, 08:32:23 PM
You normally can't. Only if you have a very good reason or if you are a VIP user, then you can ask theymos and only if he accepts, he will change your username.

A newbie here,  dont know yet whos that theymos you mean... Hahahah
But I will explore:)

Thank you so much for the Info:)
theymos is the forum admin.
VIP is a user rank which costs 50 BTC.

So in your case, it's probably better if you just create a new account.
