14281  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is viabtc transaction accelerator really working? on: August 19, 2017, 02:58:44 AM
Hi, I find viabtc transaction accelerator in the forum, I entered my txid in the first minute. Should be the top 100 input in the hour, but after 45 minutes, my transaction is still not accelerated. Do you use it and is it really working?

It works but they only accept 100 requests per hour, so 99% of the time it won't work. Alternatively you can use another accelerator like btcspeedy or http://btcaccelerator.online
DON'T TRY THIS! IT'S PROBABLY A SCAM!

1. You can put whatever you want in the "bitcoin transaction ID" field and it will show up as "The transaction number X is NOT confirmed", even if the transaction you submit is already confirmed.

2. They use the same address for any transaction you input. How would they know who paid for which transaction?

3.  This user has 3 posts, and all of them are him spamming his fake website across the forum.
14282  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Got ban and want to know if I can join campaign on: August 19, 2017, 01:32:52 AM
NEWBIE ASKING:

May I know how do you got ban? I want to know so I can prevent this happening to me.
He joined a campaign that asked people to spam a ANN thread 10 times per day to get paid (per post).

The thing is that giving any incentive to post in a thread is against the rules. Theymos answered to this by banning every participant from the forum for 3 days and not allowing them to wear a signature for 30 days.

Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.
14283  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: August 19, 2017, 12:36:05 AM

  • we wait 48h for your input transaction and we can wait more on request

Could you possibly make a button (and function) to destroy the session earlier? If I managed to complete mixing within 4 hours, I would prefer to click such a button to destry the session immediately. Please advise.
IMO this could lead to users to deleting their session as a mistake and losing their coins forever.

I don't mind keeping my session alive for 48 hours after withdrawing my private keys. What are the cons in your opinion?
14284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges vs Mixers on: August 19, 2017, 12:11:08 AM
Don’t really know which of the two is much better, but I prefer to use the exchangers, and not mixers (which I’ve never got involved in before). Mixer kind of seem like a good option, maybe due to lower fees, and also staying safe in some ways. But, anyway, we all have our own choice to make.
I really don't see how can people even consider using a exchange as a way of "mixing" your coins. Sending your Bitcoins to a company that asks for your ID, needs to answer to governments and can easily track your funds. What could go wrong?
14285  Other / Meta / Re: when will i be able to add profile pic & signature to my bitcointalk account? on: August 18, 2017, 10:28:45 PM
You can use a signature already. But you can only stylish your signature when you rank up.
Since you are still a Newbie, you can only set a signature with pure text, and at a maximum of 40 characters.

Perhaps the allowed signature styling should change with activity score / membergroup. Like:
- Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 40 characters.
- Jr. Member: Links allowed. Max 100 characters.
- Member: Unlimited length.
- Full: Color allowed.
- Sr. Member: Size allowed
- Hero: Background color allowed

Then newbies will be less effective advertisers, which would hopefully significantly reduce the incentive for low-content posts. And when people become capable of effectively advertising through their signatures, they'll have invested a lot of time into their accounts, and they won't risk being banned by spamming.

About the avatar, you can only set one if you are Full Member or above.
14286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to Bitcoin fees after the last Bitcoin is mined? on: August 18, 2017, 10:01:50 PM
The last Bitcoins mined ? I think there is no such thing as "the last Bitcoins". Bitcoins will be there forever. The Bitcoins fee is getting worse, I guess. But I don't know anything about what causes it.

Is there anyone know anything about the rise of Bitcoins fee ?
Bitcoins are finite. They can't be mined forever.

When the last 21 million Bitcoin gets "created", there will be no new Bitcoins ever.

The rise of Bitcoin fees are caused by the increase amount of unconfirmed transactions in the Bitcoin network, and the limited space of 1mb that is always full in the Bitcoin blocks. More transactions and less space = demand to get the transaction confirmed = higher fees.
14287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Blockchain now added ether on: August 18, 2017, 08:46:56 PM
If you can't export your private key in a click of a button then Its useless I'd say also a lot of people are using the ERC20 tokens and not ethereum itself so again, they will be losing a lot of users If they are not supporting that, I say Myetherwallet is still a better alternative for the moment.

this is the big issue i see. at first, i was excited, since MEW is occasionally unusable/service down.

with the ICO craze still in full swing, and airdrops still flowing left and right, it'd be great to have more options for reliable web wallets with access to ERC tokens. i don't really need another web wallet just to store ETH. i have a desktop client for that. hopefully they will add support for ERC tokens in the next few months. i'm sure there is demand for it from their customers.
Well, MyEtherWallet is just a client so you can see and manage your wallet from your key. Since you have access to your private key, you can access your wallet anywhere, even if the wallet is down. That's why MEW is the best option if you want to create a ETH wallet.

Blockchain is essentially hosting your private keys for you. Not the best option and not offering all the freedom you should have.
14288  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: paper wallet on: August 18, 2017, 07:54:35 PM
is hardware wallet more secure? Since login is using hardware
It's way safer simple because your private keys will never touch your computer or phone that may contain malwares.

The hardware is the one responsable for signing your transaction and the only thing your computer will see is the transaction already read to be broadcasted to the network.

thanks for sharing, in that case which will u recommend?
Hardware wallet if you believe that you have enought to be worth having one.

Paper wallet if you have a low amount of Bitcoins and you would spend way more in a hardware wallet.
14289  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor hardware flaw, hackeable. on: August 18, 2017, 07:12:10 PM
This is exactly why I don't trust hardware wallets like this. I would rather flip a coin and write down the key myself if I had enough patience. At any point in time, Trezor could start spitting out backdoors into their hardware wallets. And for that reason, I will never use one.
You still need physical access to the hardware to do this kind of "hack". And looks like they already fixed it.

If someone has access to your paper wallet, they will have access to your wallet aswell. Everything has their pros and cons. It's not like it's much safer.
14290  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to claim our BCC in Electron cash? on: August 18, 2017, 06:57:13 AM
Btw. how much time does it take until I can see the the credit? Maybe it takes some time.
You should see it instantly.

Have you tried to check the address that may contain the BCC in the Blockchair Explorer[1] to see if you really have coins in that wallet?

After making the search, you will probably see results for both Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash chain. Or you may also just go to:
https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/address/<your BCC address>

14291  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Freewallet- How to use on: August 18, 2017, 12:38:55 AM
Don't use it. For android, download Mycelium/Copay/Electrum.

1. Freewallet is an web wallet that has full control over your private keys. Use a app that gives you full control for yous coins, or they are not yours.
2. There was reports of funds getting stolen while using any of the Freewallet apps[1].

The ban will end someday, when it ends you can join Campaigns again, just wait.

Or meanwhile, I think your avatar spot is disponible, right? You could try finding an Avatar campaign or like hosseinimr93 said above, join a Social Media campaign, micro tasks on Services section.
He won't join a Avatar campaign anyway because he can't set a avatar - only Full Member's or above are able to do that.

As the signature says, the ban will end at 25 August 2017. Just wait until them and you will be able to wear a signature and join a campaign again. Just don't spam for cents next time.
14293  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to safely send my BTC to new address? on: August 17, 2017, 05:04:06 AM
OK,
If I create new wallet.dat on one electrum client, it is will be different wallets?
I need it for get my BTH from old btc wallet or I can't get my BTH if I will be use one client..
I didn't understand 100% about your question.

If you want to claim your BTH from an old BTC wallet, you can just:

1. Send your Bitcoins to a new wallet with Electrum;
2. Download Electron Cash[1] and open your old wallet with it - that doesn't have BTC anymore, but still has BTH;
3. Now you have a wallet with BTC and your old one with BTH.

Any wallet created on Electrum or Electron Cash are valid on both chains. This means that you can receive BTC/BTH on the same wallet (not recommended) and be able to spend both coins by using its proper software.

Bitcoin = Electrum
Bitcoin Cash = Electron Cash

P.s: wallet.dat is only for Core. Electrum will create a normal file without any extension.

14294  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can you push my Stuck USDT (bitcoin based) for a fee ? on: August 17, 2017, 01:05:19 AM
The one from BTC.com only works for Alipay users at the moment. I actually made a post on your other thread (not sure why you made two) recommending a user that seems to be accelerating transactions.

This guy claims that he has friends in multiple pools and can guarantee the confirmation of your transaction in one hour[1]. However, can't confirm if it's legit.

14296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Keeping track of coins on multiple exchanges on: August 16, 2017, 10:03:19 PM
If you have a Android, I found an app yesterday that automatically syncs your portfollio from several exchanges (Polo, Krakaen, BitTrex, etc) with your API Key and let you see how much of each coins you have in total.

CoinAlarm & Widget - For Bitcoin, Ethereum altcoin - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.coninalarm

Or altpocket[1] let's you import all your trades from Bittrex and Poloniex. It will show your profit/losts in USD and BTC for each investment you make.

14297  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: some (maybe) stupid question about electrum on: August 16, 2017, 07:14:59 PM
Is there any guide to how restore a wallet with electrum or is it so simple that there is no need of a guide?
It's so simple that even a kid can do it.

If you want to restore by using your wallet file, just copy and paste it anywhere and select the file in the Electrum's "Install Wizard".

Or if you want to restore with your seed, follow the Install Wizard, select "I already have a seed", input your seed in the field and click Next.
14298  Other / Meta / Re: Busy, try again (504) on: August 16, 2017, 07:03:38 PM
I experienced this today and I don't know what to do, I just wait like an hour but it gone now, I thought I have internet connection problem and I did troubleshoot it so many times. I hope it gone forever, hehehe.
I always experience this if I log in and usually for 2hrs and off this, after that I open again and the gateway or status 504 show to me? What is the problem for my connection?
This has nothing to do with your internet connection. It's the forum getting too much traffic and getting overload.

I'm getting this error almost every day, and yesterday particularly, I couldn't access the forum for 2 hours straight. It's probably caused by the amount of traffic the forum is getting because of the Bitcoin's recent high.
14299  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Question about priority in blockchain on: August 16, 2017, 05:18:18 AM
Okay thank you. So what can I do now? Is it possible that my transaction will stuck forever? Apparently I'm not the only one with a 80 satoshi/byte transaction. What can I do?
Your transaction is 100% not stuck forever. The only problem is that is going to take some time to get confirmed, but it's getting confirmed for sure.

I expect a tx with fee of 80 sat/byte to take at least ~12 hours or 1 day to get confirmed. Also, there is nothing else you can other than pay someone to manually accelerate your tx, so just wait.
14300  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is best Bitcoin mixer now that Bitmixer.io is gone? on: August 16, 2017, 02:45:22 AM
I value my privacy and loved Bitmixer.io but it is gone. What is the next best one that doesn't rip you off? Thanks..
I guess now after Bitmixer.io closed, the most popular currently is chipmixer I really don't know if it's the best in the industry but you still may take a look at it in Service ANNs section.
To be honest I really don't know why people would use third party services such as mixers. What do you mean by privacy?Isn't bitcoin anonymity enough for you?
Bitcoin isn't that anonymous. Anyone can track you through the Blockchain if they know where to start and have and has the motivation to do this.

That's why ChipMixer may be the best when it comes to mixing and anonymizing your transactions. I may be biased because of my signature, but I trully believe in their mixing process.

ChipMixer creates Bitcoin addresses (chips) and funds them with specific sizes. There are chips with 0.001 BTC, 0.002 BTC, 0.004 BTC and so on till 4.096 BTC. When you deposit your Bitcoins, you receive same amount in chips. For example you deposit 0.112 BTC and you receive 0.064 + 0.032 + 0.016. Each chip was funded before your deposit, so there is no link between them and your deposit on blockchain. They are already anonymous. With each chip, you receive its private key, so you can spend them any time you want.

Check out the ANN thread if you want to know more[1].
