14301  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market vs limit on: August 16, 2017, 01:42:59 AM
What is a Market Order? [1]
Quote
Market order (instant order) involves buying or selling cryptocurrency immediately at the best available price. On CEX.IO for buying with a market order, you select the amount of FIAT to spend (i.e. "Buy me enough bitcoins for $100 right this moment"). Selling with a market order is the same as Limit Order, except the best available price is used automatically

What is a Limit Order? [2]
Quote
A limit order is placed to buy or sell a pre-defined amount of cryptocurrency at a set price. Execution of this order type is not guaranteed until a price requested by the placing user can be matched with an opposite order from another user. Until full execution, the order may be canceled by the user at any time.

You would use Marker Order when you want to sell all your coins immediately for the best price you can get for all of them. For example, you want to sell 10 coins at the market. There are buy orders for 4 coins at $10 and 6 coins at $8. You will sell 4 coins for $10 each and another 6 for $8 each.

And you would use Limit Order when you want to sell 10 coins for at least $10 each and nothing less. If there are only 7 coins for this price at the buy order, you will sell those 7 for $10 and leave a order on the market for the remaining 3 coins at this same price to get executed when possible.

14302  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anonymous BTC wallet over TOR on: August 15, 2017, 10:26:50 PM
No need to use tor. The safest method would be:

1. Download the bitaddress.org source from GitHub[1], disconnect from the internet and generate a private key.
2. Print your private-key or write it down.

You may also use a Bitcoin Mixer to hide your traces. So you buy from Bitstamp -> Send to mixer -> Withdraw to your address. No one will know if you still has access to the Bitcoins and the exchange can't link you to your address.

btw could you please advice any app for ios/andoid /web wallets to import private key and get my bitcoincash? wanna to convert it to bitcoin somewhere Smiley
AFAIK, there are no mobile or web wallets which support Bitcoin Cash. I only know of 2 wallet software that support Bitcoin Cash: Bitcoin ABC and Electron Cash. Both of these are desktop wallets.
The only one I know that has Bitcoin Cash is Coinomi for Android.

They posted an article teaching users on how to add BCC as a coin on your wallet[1].

14304  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Brainwallet - which - how? on: August 15, 2017, 06:31:59 PM
I wouldn't recommend you doing that. Brain wallets can be very insecure and could put your coins in danger.

Yesterday, I answered a guy that was claiming losing 1BTC with his Brain wallet after someone probably cracked the seed he created. Here is my answer:

I'm sorry for your lost, but there is nothing you can do to recover your coins.

This is why you shouldn't use a Brain wallet. I have seen several threads asking about them, and every time I answered that people are bad at creating randomness, which will always lead them to choose a list of words that are easily brute-forced.

14305  Other / Meta / Re: Why hasn't this post deleted yet ? I reported it 2 times. on: August 15, 2017, 06:19:40 PM
AFAIK the user is not breaking any rules. Therefore, you may disagree with what he said, but this doesn't mean that his post should be deleted. That's called "freedom of expression".

There are already plenty spam in the forum to mods care about. If you desliked what someone said, just ignore him.
14306  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHY BTC PRICE KEEPS INCREASING on: August 15, 2017, 05:09:44 AM
I do not understand anything, do you want the price to increase or do you want the price to fall?
He wants Bitcoin cheaper so he can buy more. Isn't that obvious?  Roll Eyes

I actually feel the same, and am sad that the price is rising crazy while I don't have more money to buy.

What about the next hardfork of bticoin to implement segwit 2x? That bring s the current hype for bitcoin. But remember the bitcoin cash was nothing right now, the price always get plunged and the more people just want to get the free bucks from sell the bticoin cash. BCC doesn't have the future.
There is actually a chance that Core is not following the 2mb blocks part of the agreement, which may lead Bitcoin to a third chain split, where we will have Bitcoin Cash, Core/Segwit Bitcoin and Segwit2x Bitcoin.

This may cause a crash/pump of the same proportion (or even bigger) to Bitcoin's price as we had recently with Bitcoin losing 40% of its value before reaching ATH.
14307  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [FREE] Cryptocurrency Arbitrage Tracker on: August 15, 2017, 04:19:03 AM
Nice service for arbitrage traders. But we should consider the fees before jumping on the trade. You should probably indicate the withdrawal fees for each coin shown from the respective exchange. That way it will be more helpful.

Most exchanges actually charges a small fixed fee that shouldn't have bif impact over your profits.

The two big problems are actually:

Withdraw times. Some of those exchanges actually have pretty slow verification for withdraws. Like Poloniex, which may hold your coins for hours, while the price stabilizes oe gets worse on the other market.

Liquidity. Some markets may actually have a low liquidity, therefore the high difference in prices. This could make the price change a lot while you sell/buy. Making you even or worst.
14308  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Setting multiple Wallets in a Wallet program on: August 15, 2017, 01:32:09 AM
Yes. You can have as many Electrum and Copay wallets as you want and use them all at the same time.

With Exodus, you can only create one wallet per OS user. But I guess that you could create 5 different wallets and secure their seeds. Then, just import each seed when you need to manage those wallets.
14309  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: August 14, 2017, 11:56:25 PM
I did tried tapping the sync button , even restart and use a new phone to restore still getting same error message out of sync. Does electrum support restore mycelium 12 seeds ?
I am almost sure that they do support the same seed as Mycelium.

But remember that you will have to tick the option "BIP39 Seed" while restoring your seed on Electrum to get it to work.

Hello everyone!

Tell me please i Wanted to know in what price i bought specific coin I have the price in BTC but that price doesnot reflect today price
So I wanted to know if there an option to see the price rate i bought in USD ( I trade on Bittrex )

Thank you for your help!
If you bought from a BTC/COIN pair, there is no way to know the price in USD other than checking the Bitcoin price at the time of purchase.

Or you can create an account at AltPocket[1], import your trades with your Bittrex API token and it will show for how much you bought and how much you profited/lost in BTC and USD.

14312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ShapeShift vs. Evercoin on: August 14, 2017, 06:42:07 PM
I have not heard of either of these coins, however I can offer you some advice.

When you look into a new coin you must do lots, and lots, and lots of research. You cannot just buy them without knowing everything about it first, otherwise you will run into ICO scams and pump-and-dump premined garbage "crapcoins". I just read about a guy yesterday that invested $1,600,000 into Bitcoin a couple months ago (he bought 600 Bitcoin in total) and he already lost 400 Bitcoins... I am not kidding. Guess what happened? He bought tons of altcoins because they were going up and he thought it would continue. Well, it didn't and now Bitcoin has gone up to twice what it was when he first got in and all of his investment is still in altcoins.

The moral of the story? Altcoins can be great, but many are scams so be careful and do your research!
ROFL. Talk about someone who is just lurking around the forum spamming posts without even reading what is being discussed. This kind of people shouldn't be allowed to spam on behalf of any signature campaign.

Neither ShapeShift or Evercoin are altcoins. They are EXCHANGES. Maybe you should try a little bit next time.
14313  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to safely send my BTC to new address? on: August 14, 2017, 04:27:43 PM
I hear about that elecrum can choose automatic network BCC (option: server select automatically).. and can lost funds.

What network need choose manually?
It will not. Just let the option "Select server automatically" turned on and you will be okay managing your Bitcoins.

I received the vouch and can confirm that the method is working!
You will receive a step-by-step guide with pictures to help you understand where to download and how to install the software + activate it.

About it being a "ilegal" copy of a method already being sold by someone else, I can't really confirm since this is the first method I'm testing. But it worked as promised, and even my After Effects that was in trial seems to be activated now.

May I request a vouch copy?

Can't really just throw $6 without knowing if this product is real - and since you are a Newbie without any trust.
14316  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: August 14, 2017, 04:31:47 AM
What's up with those fees Mycelium is recommending?

High priority = 500 sat/byte
Normal = 400 sat/byte

Is this really necessary? A fee of 500 sat/byte is equal to $5 for a normal transaction with only 1 input and output.

If it stays like this, I'm 100% leaving Mycelium for another android wallet. I simple can't pay that much in fees for a single transaction.
14317  Economy / Goods / Re: Visa/mastercard bitcoin debit card with no Foreign transaction fee on: August 14, 2017, 03:15:07 AM
I don't think any of them don't charge for Currency Conversion Fee. Most Bitcoin debit cards are actually provided by Wave Crest Holdings outside the US and by the Metropolitan Commercial Bank for the US, which means that they all have the same set of rules and limits, therefore, they all charge the 3% fee for foreign transactions.
14318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin transaction fees on: August 14, 2017, 01:58:40 AM
They talk about fees per byte. I don't understand this. Shouldn't the fees be the same if you are sending 1 Satoshi or 1 million BTC? It's all one transaction therefore take up the same amount of space.
They are. The size of your transaction isn't based on the amount of Bitcoins you are sending, but on the amount of inputs and outputs of your transaction, which may make the transaction size bigger, therefore making your fee more expensive.

If you want to read more about the subject:

are you guys crazy? PLEASE CHECK THERE IS NOTHING SIMILAR TO REAL SOURCE
PLEASE CHECK BEFORE POST!!!

YOU HAVE ORIGINAL WEBSITE WHY U NEED FOYKBALL???
What are you talking about? You can see that the repo from fyookball is linked at the bottom of the original website. The only fake version is the one from the github user "electroncash" which is a fake wallet made as an attempt to steal users funds. AFAIK Fyookball is the "developer" of the Electron Cash fork.
14320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Beware of fake links! on: August 13, 2017, 09:56:41 PM
Be careful! The link posted by OP is fake!

I have seen newbies posting this fake wallet everywhere the last few days.

Including in some Slack servers I participate and even here, like this newbie, which posted this link in a thread about Bitcoin Cash and deleted afterwards.

download it only from trusted sources!

The ONLY official links for Electron Cash are:
