Sorry to hear, sounds very serious.  Some people they outright refuse to allow organs for, I had a relative in extreme circumstances who as a mother to a young child was still judged as a non viable case for that donation sadly; unfortunately its very tough on all involved.  Hope you get the campaign work to keep very busy and occupied while waiting for the surgery  Smiley

Theres a balance between the profits available from honest exchange and fees derived from that and not keeping all the funds available.   What usually happens is fractional reserve which in crypto is a type of failure because it means the exchange cannot as easily honor all the rightful demands on its allocated funds.   This outcome is far more likely that outright theft I think as its a condition which can and has been seen before exist for years, gaining ongoing fees while not actually doing the full job promised is apparently repeatedly tempting.

Only people who have a lot of money use youtube premium

The price for premium varies by country, I agree its not cheap in alot of rich countries which is unfair as not everyone in a country is rich just because billionaires exist so do poor people.   Anyhow some of the countries with giant inflation rates, famously Argentina and Turkey if you are premium in this place then the price is actually close to the cost of a soda drink per month.   I'd call that cheap vs your time wasted watching 10 minutes of adverts on every day.
The funniest adverts are the amazing invention adverts where the product is just never going to be as good as they claim, I love the fantasy at least.  I think in options you can specify against gambling adverts, same for alcohol and adult adverts most likely and same for many companies they must not force this content.
1344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 25, 2023, 02:05:13 AM
There was a case I read recently of a very famous person in entertainment, always a gambler to the point of spending a little too much.  When they got success in their career, gambling the same amount no longer worked for them as a high especially so they started gambling into the millions and reached the same point of not having any money sometimes despite being known nationally and selling so much.    Its easy to quit if you find something better, intense & occupying over time spent gambling, success in business and career was not enough for this person.   I would suggest Kart racing or anything will be cheaper then a bad habit of spending too much so that means alot of doors are open to try to find an alternative high to just a plain gamble.    I've also heard of lottery winners who keep playing and a few who win twice amazingly.
1345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: June 24, 2023, 11:58:22 PM
I hate cheating, wheres the game in that and the excitement and actual gamble.   If you only care about money then sure this is the aim, there never was a game you denied yourself this or just lost it along the way focusing on the wrong thing.   Cheating can destroy people, especially in sports when its fixed that person can lose the game forever and their family is ruined by this failure also.
Also just think about it for a second, if you succeed in this falsehood it becomes certain to be known and obvious.   You might have a million people examining the detail of this game and yet hope to defy the knowledge of them all, all the attention paid, the writers and journalists hoping to break their next story wont ever discover this cheat I find quite unlikely.   Failure and loss is coming maybe even more when a cheat is found.   Do not believe the lie that its easy money and nothing will go wrong, sadly I have seen people banned from their own livelihood & great talents denied to play ever again.
1346  Economy / Speculation / Re: SEC Lawsuit Against Binance Is Likely To Hit Bitcoin Price on: June 24, 2023, 11:51:39 PM
Do we have to care about Binance that much, they can care about their own business.  Is Bitcoin really reliant on one website in that way, I hope they do great business and their customers really like them.  What is of far more concern to me is if we are so wobbly on our ladder up that we could topple over if Binance doesn't do well or not, I dont care and I shouldn't have to.  That company benefits from this ecosystem not vice versa especially, its my hope we aren't that wobbly and precariously arranged to fall over if a company cant as easily make the profits it had wished for.   BTC hopefully is more diverse and evolving more broadly then just websites and a popular CEO etc.

“No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man.” This quote from Heraclitus illustrates that in both life and business you can't go back. You can only go forward.

Everything is relevant but change is the only certainty, you are not alone in this point though many things are not best described in words unfortunately.    I think you are just getting old bro Tongue  You may notice change most when older as everything was just new at first discovery.  Then eventually you will recognize everything is the same and often repeats.   Some of what you say is dangerous, notable & increasingly alarming in not being allowed to disagree yet also this is not new.

FUN token doesn't really react to that

The token price will react as BTC is the denominator which means when BTC is stronger especially sharply up on a particular day that should put pressure on that price.   Same as prices are  certain to rise when a currency value falls.   So thats a definite relationship but I agree if people are positive on BTC it probably does help the FUN token price longer term.   If we compare the recent low for FUN price in dollars and cents to the price today, its risen by 44% which is no small amount.   To then want a Satoshi quoted price rising on top of that value gain would be exceptional, longer term I would estimate  Bitcoin performing well raises the interest and requirement for 'safe harbor' of long term sites like this.   Whatever the narrative I do think its a fairly good guess this site does well alongside bitcoin usage and market generally.   However the price wont move immediately in parallel to BTC.
1349  Economy / Speculation / Re: The low support level may still be tested during 2023. on: June 23, 2023, 11:51:08 PM
The low support is being tested along the whole of 2023 but what makes it bullish is each test is higher then the last hence we do have a rising trend even if its not got everyone happy all the time.  The most reliable trends are not especially obvious but vary downwards, it still counts positively overall.
All I'm looking for right at this moment is the performance of BTC over this month and the next vs steady averages like 50 day and 200 week.   If we maintain above both BTC price action is doing very well and we should not expect such massive variance as to go anywhere near the absolute lows.   If we lose the 50 day average and stay above 200 week then I'd say more middling performance but still imo bullish considering how negative and deep the pullback of 2022 progressed.
1350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: June 23, 2023, 11:13:20 PM
I have relatives in every country, if they can play then I ask them to gamble for me effectively.   I dont see the point in these absolute laws when people can travel though I realize some countries you are not allowed to go on holiday so maybe such reasoning is applicable in that scenario.  Its mostly about tax and thats a failure because its far better to allow gambling and just take some cut towards taxation rather then attempt to ban or only allow the government lotto.

Land never depreciates

It sure does, price of land can go down for decades, a century or more well past the lifetime of the people who own it.   Business will sometimes move away from an area for a variety of reasons and the price of land can drastically lower due to less demand.  USA has alot of land and its true generally land is a better investment then many things long term but theres no guarantee it will ever go up again in your lifetime.   The primary reason to buy land is to use it and I would be uncomfortable otherwise, speculating empty is for rich cany people to guess on but most should have a plan of use for now and a decade forward.

There has to be so many empty towns of land that are no longer relevant due to mines closing or trade passing onto larger cities.   Its unfortunately a risk anywhere must take, I just hope I would recognize a trend of decline is a loss worth taking to sell early rather then wait.
1352  Economy / Speculation / Re: 30k Bitch!!! on: June 23, 2023, 09:06:28 PM
Very nice bullish staircase looking formation higher on the weekly bars of these last six months or s, despite all the worries in between short term it looks good overall.   We have to step back to appreciate BTC is doing quite well fairly often as it tests sentiment quite harshly but then we also rise rapidly similarly so I guess its symmetrical in that way.

I do anticipate we pull back to near the 50 day average at some point but staying above 29724 or similar levels would indicate BTC has no problems regaining its pace on a wider perspective even when challenged with selling at times of bad news etc.
1353  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is Inflation Happening All Over the World At Once? on: June 22, 2023, 11:59:08 PM
Whats the statistic that I saw, one quarter of all dollars ever created since the origins of the USA have been done in a single year recently.   If thats true you dont need any elaborate explanation for why there is a sudden lump of rising prices occurring.   The face value of a currency note must equate to a value exchangeable in some way, if all they did is produce suddenly twice as many notes then the value halves and every price doubles.     To me the most simple reason is also the most likely.
1354  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price, Where Next on: June 22, 2023, 05:39:27 PM
Very positive action recently, has to be confirmed to be taken seriously but today has been a good price action day for BTC.   BTC has confirmed the 23.6% fib level for the ATH to the low last June.   In the last few hours we have held 29724 as a low and traded up to the current 30120.   If we continue do as much showing positives into daily bars and the weekly close on Sunday that would help the case for exceeding the prior highs of 2023 and building higher.
I do think its a bit sudden, often volume must catch up with a wild price swing as we do need both to build properly and sustainably.   Anywhere above 200 week and 50 day has me far more optimistic then previously.
1355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do gambling addicts bother about the consequences of their actions? on: June 22, 2023, 05:31:31 PM
The reality would be very simple in that the longer term effects are being ignored in favor of the short term high.   Like any similar fixation that would lead to negatives eventually but immediately if you feel better its chasing a high that is causing the problem.   This behaviour can be fixed but is hard to do all by yourself as the brain forms bad habits.   Care is a difficult word to classify this with as the person is maladjusted purely to the short term, underlying causes can be multiple like grief or poor health and that might be the best way to turn someone around by treating those negative events in their life.
1356  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: June 21, 2023, 11:53:18 PM
Ultimately if we're talking a real cut back in available cash for food, you will be making everything yourself   and/or eating super basic stuff.  Learn to cook is one of the biggest money saving methods there is, of course it takes time, skill and energy plus some tools.  Even after all that its still gigantically cheaper to cook for yourself and as a bonus almost everything tastes better freshly made.
Any prepared food from a supermarket has been packaged and reinforced in its ingredients to survive a journey down a conveyor belt & over a week sitting on a shelf even if its refrigerated it cannot be as nice as a well cooked meal.   I say all that and Im not a good cook but if poor theres not that much choice imo; some find they do cook well and make it their job, making a cut back into an opportunity Smiley
1357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: June 21, 2023, 11:34:01 PM
Trump was known in 2016 via TV appearances, that was the problem for some that though he had no background in any normal related industry but he did have alot of opinions and this position of power in appearance as a CEO and TV star.   Trump wont be leaving the country unless you also believe he could receive a harsh sentence, I dont think he will or he would be pardoned after to make it short.   In any case he is in his later years, its highly inadvisable to make any attempt to evade charges.    That fortune is based in Dollars if not also USA, its basically under USA control wherever the person might reside.

The biggest question for election outcome will be economy based, the rest of it is a circus sideshow as is more often the case in a Presidential term reelection vote.
1358  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Buying all csgo skins on: June 21, 2023, 11:24:51 PM
Advertising on this forum should use an escrow established and also known on this forum, that would be the best practice.    Medusa is a really high value item, I think a long known crypto escrow from Bitcointalk would consider handling the deal if asked.   Steam in my experience is wide open highly trafficked by the whole spectrum of users from normal players to professional gangs who make it their work relying on users not deploying best practice.
Its a minefield, I advice extreme caution; Im glad to see anything Csgo related and Im not commentating anything specifically

Bad news, BTC is up strongly Tongue   its broken that fairly short term regular decline on daily bars of the last couple months.   We are back to near 30k which is resistance last observed start April.  So its repeating again, above the 50 day average again we are in theory positive but with alot of obstacles remaining imo.
Also this week defeats the idea of falling below the 200 week where we had a subterranean existence & dystopian outlook to BTC from June last year upto the March recovery this year.  To go back there would have been negative, thats the most positive takeaway from this current positivity.  I think the rest of it we just rinse repeat prices not too positive not too negative, so long as we stave off that larger negative failure its probably for the best.   I think we do find 30k some negative but of course we judge BTC strength by how it handles these obstacles.

Anyway BTC up sharply helps to bring down FUN in ratio even if it also means the dollar price is up a bit.   I'm adding to what I have as per the plan to do so, for its longer term properties. The cap to buy presently is at 50k which is a bit more realistic as its not expensive at this price.   The FUN price bet is quite simple I wont bet.  I will probably bet BTC in these last 10 days of the month stays below 30k and I dont mind being wrong if we goto 40k seriously Cheesy   FED news today maybe but anyhow a weekly bar really needs to complete for a full picture, its never certain but imo we broke a channel upwards its a decent rise.
1360  Economy / Economics / Re: 85% of AI start-ups will fail within 3 years. on: June 20, 2023, 11:52:12 PM
Within failures recorded we could include the idea of being taken over via debt, bonds etc., this is completely normal especially in a growing sector with high risks and cost of investment.  If AI is anything like the rest of tech it will have high development costs hence high failure is quite probable.      So to amalgamate your rivals into your business at a favorable equity ratio would be smart by the larger firms and the leverage to do so rests with those who are able to command the highest cash flow and confidence of the banks.
All that would be quite normal aggressive business practice, not bankrupt or failure exactly but the firm taken over is often not done on great terms or with large profits for the equity holders, copyright or patents are given up because debts must be paid.  Its a harsh world, I dont think AI will be easy exactly but it must be favorable to users  to do well.
