1341  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Deep before the Raise on: January 12, 2022, 11:26:36 AM
But we have twice reach all time high last year isn't it? So that's a sign that we might have reach the top and we are entering a long bearish market, just saying.

Anyhow, it's just the start of the year and anything can happen, the price could go down deep to $30k or reaches a new all time high of around $70k++. So far though we are above $40k and I think we have to thank the support levels because it is still holding.
Yes, the resistance in $40k is something to be appreciated. That just means there are still holders out there who believes in Bitcoin technology. It could be us in this forum or outside with whales not being triggered by any bear market. They will just keep it no matter what and it's a good sign.
If this price goes back to $20k then I think that's when the real panic will begin. But, there are also those who will take advantage of it and buy as much as possible while the price is cheap. We will never know and they could be doing it now.

And it's really hard for us bettors who thinks that Brooklyn can win this game and not to go ease with Portland since they don't have their stars. Unfortunately, for us, the Nets losses this game by a good margin. However, I don't think they are doing load management, they used to be on the top spot in the Eastern conference and if they won't win they the Sixers and the Bucks are going to take their position in the second spot so no need to play safe right now.
I hope so, that they are not doing that load management idea.
I was able to catch their game early and I took the bet for the Nets too. Many bettors expected an outcome on the side of the Nets at high percentage with Kyrie being on Durant's wing but it turned out to be the other way around. Sorry, but what hurts me is they will lose against a handicapped Trail Blazers.

February is the end of trades, rumors are circling around Ben Simmons again to land on Atlanta Hawks.
1343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me out on: January 11, 2022, 02:39:08 PM
Hm I don't think you can just allocate 30% for expenses without knowing more of OPs background. It is unclear whether the $600 are already for investing or whether it is just the salary.
So first, OP please clarify if you want to invest $600 or whether this number is smaller as you have to deduct your expenses first.

Apart from that above reply already gives you an idea what should be done: split your investments in different asset classes and only allocate a small amount for crypto were a 100% loss would not bother you
It may just be the salary.
We don't know if the friend of OP is paying for a rent, own a house/with parents, with insurance, healthcare, and other stuff that is being paid monthly like bills, electric, water and internet.
But if he can save like just 10% percent of that, $60 to be precise, that will be a good number in the long run. No one is rushing when it comes to saving money thru cryptocurrencies especially in Bitcoin or Ethereum. It may be the best window now for the cheap price and you can maximize the amount that you can grab.
1344  Economy / Economics / Re: Is PayPal plannning to Launch of Own Stablecoin? on: January 11, 2022, 12:13:45 PM
So many digital wallets popping out, we are being forgotten. I have an idea, "Let's create a stablecoin!". I am sure we will be back in mainstream again because of this new gossip.  Grin
Isn't it a bit too late?! They should've created this when they made the announcement of acceptance of buying Bitcoin in their platform. That way it will be not just be an explosion but like a nuke dropped in the cryptocurrency field. I don't agree or disagree and not even neutral. It's just okay. Do it, let's see where it will go.
1345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 11, 2022, 08:20:31 AM
The Nets with another tough loss...  They aren't playing too well lately.  Sort of disappointing but I'm sure they'll get it together eventually.  I think even in the Jarrett Allen and DeAngelo Russell days they played better than this.  I think the rule changes and covid rules have something to do with it, but you'd think Durant would be able to carry his team better than this.  Maybe they're trying to play it safe and avoid injuries or are waiting until after the all star break to turn it on...  We'll see...
Confused Brooklyn Nets. Losing against a team without their stars Dame, CJ, and Powell. Yes, that's disappointing. Blake Griffin only played 11 minutes, I don't know what happened but Irving and KD played 40+ minutes and now I am starting to think they are doing load management thing that had been a disgust to most critics back then. Being safe in the 2nd spot give credits to do this strategies and more teams will be doing the same while they are not on check because of Covid issues.
1346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Teaching your kids to gamble. on: January 10, 2022, 05:55:04 PM
I didn't know that. I was always shouting and was being drawn by the game and I even share it to my wife how much I bet for. The kids are around when I do that. But I think there's always a solution for this kind of problem. Better explain to them while they are growing up.
Right now, kids are just at home spending most of their time in their gadgets and toys while school is all online. "Online" that is the problem because they can easily access the gambling sites and with all the ads popping out even in kids games, they might accidently open it.
Solution to that is restricting their phones with parental access before opening a specific websites. That's a lot of work though but if it does good then time and effort will be worth it.

EVX listed now on Pancakeswap 1000 sat is coming  Grin
https://twitter.com/everexio/status/1480564186262372353
Listing doesn't really give much assurance yet. There are a lot of cryptocurrencies listed in PancakeSwap but yet they failed to bring the right service to their customers and their value depreciates. Don't be stuck with one coin, look for something else. Or are you a part of their team that's why you will keep on updating this thread until you see people getting interested in it?
If that's your purpose you could try creating an ANN thread here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0
That way it will look proper and not like a shilling post. Good luck.
1348  Economy / Speculation / Re: are we going to have "fear" months? on: January 10, 2022, 01:21:26 PM
I like to think it won't happen but with all the FUD coming out in social media you will be pushed to the edge of selling your lovely bitcoins especially the new investors. They lack the drive of holding it and they want profits as fast as they can because that's what they learned in the same platform "social media". "Buy this, be rich quick" schemes and Bitcoin is being used as the face of it.
No wonder we are back to $40k. That is where the strength is, the real hodlers. The question will be, who is going to buy back all those coins that was left by the soft hands? Yes, it will be the old investors again.  Cheesy When? A big question. They might be waiting, just like us.
1349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 10, 2022, 11:44:30 AM
And the Lakers lost again! lol the best recruiter in the looks like he's going to for a new talent coz their bigs are useless
Should've taken Cousins for that 10 day contract and tried him out. Now Nuggets will be have a stronger defender below the rim.

Lakers streak was broken and this tells they are not the caliber we are expecting, yet. It could've ended worse in a blowout game at 20 points upward of a lead from the Grizzlies but thanks to the 2nd team led by Austin Reeves it was cut down creating a 17-0 run. They thought it was over but he pumped the fans in Crypto.com Arena by giving them hope. I thought Frank Vogel is going to switch to his stars but thank God he didn't. Those guys deserves to stay in the game and finish it on their own.
1350  Economy / Economics / Re: LEGO Sets Are Better Investments than Stocks, Bonds or Even Gold on: January 09, 2022, 07:20:44 AM
I just finished cleaning the house. Now the Lego sets are complete again.  Grin Damn kids, I am now taking it to as safer place.

I enjoyed playing it with my kids up until now. Perhaps, because it is not easy to keep in sets/complete is what makes it more valuable. It's not just the oil or the plastic but being good at keeping it.
Then, there are a lot of fakes that had been created, the bigger ones that wrecks the item with just one drop. The original are mostly in small pieces only.
I am just afraid I will be the only one left playing it when this kids grow old with their smartphones and laptops.  Grin Yeah, old toys will be valuable someday.
1351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 09, 2022, 02:52:11 AM
Boston Celtics got their revenge against the New York Knicks today after losing Friday at MSG. Jaylen Brown registered a triple double in 35 minutes.
He suddenly became the playmaker of the team which is new. He average just 2.6 assists per game this season and near that last year. He is not the type to make such number in dimes. Is this just coincidence or is the Celtics playbook changing?
Their next 2 games will be up against the Pacers at home and on road so let's see if the same thing will happen.
1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice on what to consider when making an investment ? on: January 08, 2022, 07:13:00 PM
I always try to go social media first because that's where people share their knowledge after research. You will find economists, mathematicians, and a lot of different type of people sharing their opinion about the project they are trying to invest with.
This is the fastest way but if you really want to go deep then you can go ask them yourself using platforms like Telegram or Discord where support are lively to encourage investors to buy their tokens. After that, it's up to you if you think they are telling you the truth or not. Because there is no way you could tell a project will be 100 percent successful. That's the risk in this industry.
1353  Economy / Speculation / Re: What about 2022? on: January 08, 2022, 03:46:41 PM
Again, if we also look at the history of bitcoin, you can clearly see no one can see how low it can go during a bearish market. Remember the high of 2017 December? and what is the lowest low we got since that bull run? if my memory serves me right, its around $3k. So we can't say that bitcoin won't drop to $20k or even $10k, of course we want it to recover, but what if it didn't this year? That is a big question that everyone should be prepared, and that is what I'm trying to point out.
Yes, I think it's $3k, somewhere above it in hundreds.
We will never know where the flow will be and its not just one who can manipulate the market. The domino effect happens when one whale puts a dent on the price backwards by selling. Elon Musk for example. Even average holders will try to do the same to ride the wave and that causes more panic.
IMO, just be ready for anything. FUD will come and it might go way below our expectation but I am positive it will be back to this number or higher in a faster way unlike the other years where Bitcoin is unknown to most of the people.
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 08, 2022, 11:05:29 AM
Brooklyn Nets are still having a really bad run recently. In the game that Kyrie Irving played also, they finally won after a break of three games. But last night, KD-Harden duo couldn't do what they wanted exactly and they lost to Bucks home by 121-109. Giannis had an impressive performance having 31 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. B. Portis was also good having 25 points and 12 rebounds. KD played still strongly but Harden lacked his usual performance.
That's the problem. It's like when you are cooking one recipe, you don't put salt just occasionally. You do it every time you cook the same food.
The consistency will be gone if Kyrie Irving will just be playing outside Brooklyn. Energy was filling up when he was there last game but now that he is not it suddenly went down.
IMO, it's not healthy for both the team and their coaching staff. It's confusing if they have other types of play when he is around and another when not.
1355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't bet more than you can afford to lose. on: January 08, 2022, 08:46:17 AM
I'll try to budget just $300 for gambling of that monthly salary of $2000.
That should be enough or my wife will freaking kill me if I do more. That kind of number will go a long way if I convert it to Bitcoin then just use satoshis as means to bet. Look for a betting site that offers 1000 satoshis minimum bet. I can go higher if I think my odds of winning is high enough then lower if my budget runs low until my next $300 of the month comes.
Discipline will be a key here. If you depleted the amount given then don't look for more.

Tried searching but cannot find one named star meta.

Then this, P2PB2B has a bad reputation being an exchange. Why would they want to list there while every investor is trying to get away from it.
I bet it's because it's cheap or better, free.
C'mon, there's a lot of better NFT/Metaverse games out there. Try looking for known game makers or try the known streaming websites and watch streamers that made efforts to share their quality checking. After that, do your own research.
1357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 07, 2022, 12:43:59 PM
I can't believe the Bucks are going to let DeMarcus Cousins walk away a free agent.  He was playing great for them.  Much better than I expected.  I guess he was just there to fill a roster spot during the covid restrictions.  I'm curious who is going to pick him up now.  Twitter is screaming at the Lakers to waive DeAndre Jordan and sign Cousins, but I don't see why they can't keep both...  Likely Cousins will find a new home somewhere else.  I think Chicago might be a decent home for him if he's still chasing a ring.  Another stint with Golden State might not be a bad idea either.  I'm sure someone will grab him quickly.
Checked the roster of the Chicago Bulls and yes they might want to grab Cousins as fast as they can. They need a center/forward to fill the shoes of Vucevic if they will be up against big men games. Vucevic is averaging 33 minutes per game and as a center that might be an exhausting number.
If they will let Cousins in, they could give him a breather that could strengthen the rotation even on second stringers.
They accept 10 days contract now, if its possible test him for that amount of time and if he performed good then give him a better contract. I don't know if Cousins will accept that kind of offer though.
1358  Economy / Economics / Re: If the government loses control of the financial system, we have a fall back on: January 07, 2022, 08:05:52 AM
We can't blame the president on that. He cannot tell his people to "Buy USD or Bitcoin, you are safe there." That's like admitting to be a traitor of your own country. He still need to save what is left even if the value of it is depreciating. Being patriotic first before looking for an alternative.
Bitcoin as a reserve, yes that will help but he need to find a way to solve the issue in front of him first before jumping to another. I don't know the deep issue about their financial system but is it because there is no usage of their own currency (people saving too much money) or is it just because of the high interest rates that caused the inflation?
1359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we sell all crypto now? on: January 06, 2022, 03:26:23 PM
Why would you? Shouldn't it be the other way around? The market is bearish so you really don't have much of a choice but to keep it.
What profit will you get upon selling it especially if you are one of the investors that purchased at a higher price? That's suicide. IMO, keep it. Take the what if questions and hope a bullish will come again.
It's just the start of the year and you better put your seatbelts on because for me, this is just also the start of another long bull run. Stay optimistic.
1360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 06, 2022, 01:14:06 PM
I don't know if I'd say he could be the best player on the team.  Durant is his teammate and he's literally the best player in the world, so Kyrie will always be at best the second fiddle.  I would say he is a distant third to James Harden also, but this year with the rule changes Harden has been ineffective driving in the paint and has basically been forced to dish or shoot 3 pointers.  Kyrie coming back will hopefully help that a bit.  Durant had 39 points on 15-24 shooting...  Pretty crazy.  They also scored 35 points in the 4th quarter to come from behind.  A nice victory to welcome Kyrie back.
I didn't expect that from a debut but what I didn't expect more is the way he talk now in the interview (good) and how he managed to avoid having any locker room issue. He is pretty welcomed by his team mates and also had fun watching him or just being with him on the sidelines. He should keep up this new Kyrie Irving and throw the old one.

Warriors on the other side defeated badly by the Mavericks even without the Unicorn to help them out. Luka Doncic didn't fail to initiate the joy in American Airlines Center because after the game was the retirement of Dirk Nowitzki's #41 jersey. That was an emotional moment.
