Any withdrawal from GDAX is free. Any withdrawal from Coinbase that isn't from your Coinbase to YOUR GDAX has to be paid by you.
You can just get your friend's Coinbase/GDAX deposit address and withdrawal (from GDAX) directly on it.

Again a new update... https://twitter.com/ElectrumWallet/status/950163143082299392And from theymos' post: Update 2: Version 3.0.5 was just released, which further protects the component of Electrum which was previously vulnerable. It is not critically necessary to upgrade from 3.0.4 to 3.0.5, though upgrading would be a good idea. Also, I've heard some people saying that only versions 3.0.0-3.0.3 are affected, but this is absolutely wrong; all versions from 2.6 to 3.0.3 are affected by the vulnerability. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2702103.0Be sure to download the latest version (again) to be 100% safe against the vulnerabilities.

You can't. Bitcoin Diamond don't have a running Explorer yet. Wait until they do and use a normal explorer or this website: https://bitcore.cc/checker.php

Electrum doesn't show any ads/popups. That's probably what happened:
1. Visited a website that has this kind of popups. 2. Your PC is infected with an adware.
And I would say that this popup doesn't do anything with Electrum. As you said, it's probably just one of those fake "alert messages" trying to make you call their support number. Even if it's always possible, the Electrum vulnerability with Js was only discovered recently and so far I have never seen any virus trying to exploit those vulnerabilities.
Anways, it's better if you just reinstall Windows and move your coins to a new wallet.

i have the seeds but i may not have the private key so can i sell or transfer by bitcoin or not ?
1. Go to Electrum. 2. File -> New/Restore -> Standard Wallet -> I already have a seed -> Paste your seed in the box -> Next. Now you just imported your wallet. Do you have any balance on it? Spend. It's empty? This seed has nothing to do with your "1Dv23Ci4ys7VF8UsmJi2EM6Utvmq5jhp9c" address. You still want to be sure? Go to the "Console" tab and paste: ismine("1Dv23Ci4ys7VF8UsmJi2EM6Utvmq5jhp9c") If the output is "false", you don't own the address. If it's "true" you own the address.

AFAIK GDAX pays your miner fees when you withdrawal to a different address. So you shouldn't lose anything. Just buy your ETH, send them directly to your Coss.io account and buy your altcoins.

You will need to download and enable the Bitcoin Cash app in your Ledger Manager. You can't spend them from your Bitcoin app. Electron Cash will support Ledger in it's upcoming release[1]. But for now, you will probably need to use the Chrome app for that.

You may have lost then.
A few weeks ago, someone sent ERC20 tokens to his Coinbase eth address and according to him, Coinbase refused to help and said that "the specific private keys associated with an address are not physically available to any single person". Also, some people who sent BTC to his BCH address ended up getting the same answer.

Hey guys, if anyone has a moment to answer my newbie question it would be appreciated.
I recently stuck €50 of Btc in my Exodus wallet to see how it works. I then went to trade for some Ethereum and it says I have €41.49 of Btc but can only trade €24.45 of that?
Anyone know why I can only use just over half my amount? Is this taking into account the transaction fee or something else? Seems steep at nearly 50%.
Realise this is probably a rookie question but some advice would be great!
Thanks
I wouldn't use Exodus to store Bitcoin. Their fee estimation is broken and they don't let you customize your fees. This means that you either need to pay this extremely exaggerated fee or just don't do any transactions at all. But at least, you can export your private-key[1] and import it in a new wallet (like Electrum) if you want. [1] http://support.exodus.io/article/86-how-can-i-view-my-private-keys

Hope this is not old news but i watched some youtube videos on how to get an address starting with 3 and it seems people are managing to get Electrum to generate these addresses with the prefix "3".....is there any easier way because i keep running in these bc1 addresses ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) I find out that you acually can. Here it is: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2164068.msg26249608#msg26249608yes, right.. to have segwit addresses starting with a 3 in Electrum just follow these simple steps: 1) generate a bip39, 12 words seed on https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ (use it offline for more security) 2) on electrum choose, File -> New/Restore -> Standard Wallet -> I already have a seed -> click on "options" and choose bip39, write the seed then click next 3) on derivation path path use: m/49'/0'/0'/0that's all. Remember to save in a safe place the seed as electrum will not show it (read below)

they just pay the fees themselves?
Yes. It's a marketing thing. If you pay the user transaction fee, he will start using your service and recommending it for his friends. And having costumers is something more profitable in the long term than saving a few bucks in fees in the short term. Seems odd if they do! Is there anywhere else that does that?
I have seen people saying that Gemini does the same. But I can't confirm. Other than that, it's not profitable for other services to do the same and pay the fee for the users.

This guy is a scammer.
He is asking for your wallet seed and ID, which will let him have FULL ACCESS over your wallet and coins.
DON'T EVER SHARE YOUR WALLET SEED WITH ANYONE!

Yes. GDAX withdrawals are always free. It doesn't matter where are you sending your coins (Binance, Ledger Nano S, to pay a bear...).

Your address private-key will always be same. Just export it, import in each wallet and spend the coins. To spend your BCH, the easiest way is to use Electron Cash[1], which is an Electrum fork for Bitcoin Cash. You can just open your Electrum wallet with it and your BCH will be there.
