I was spitballin...I like your idea better than my suggestion...the only thing I would add is if it would be possible to kind of have a few of the splash points stand out so that the idea of decentralized nodes could be an implicitly represented in the graphic. That sounds complex though...I think it would be epic without that detail. I'll try to look into it but I might not do it. Sorry  |

OK here's my final animation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWBfT_5q0foI can't believe how bad the quality looks. Next time when I make one of these i'll make it at true 1920 x 1080. I had it like that but I rendered it at 50% quality so now it looks crap. Thoughts... It looks way better on mobile. That said, the animation on the water is pretty rockin. You gotz skillz... But what if...instead of the random boxes, the waterfall was spilling over the SPR logo onto/into a globe of the world with a way to make some of the splashes representative of decentralized nodes? It would make it a bit more thematic of the coin... Just an idea; I can't do what you do but I think it is cool...-thumbsup- Thanks for the suggestion! Hmm... HunterMinerCrafter has disappeared. I used to PM him a lot and we used to talk but now suddenly he's gone. I'm sad. I hope nothing bad happened to him. He is the reason I actually found Spreadcoin. I looked through his post history and saw it. I hope he comes back on here. Oh and btw this next animation I made looks super realistic. Well, the water does anyway. It doesn't have anything to do with Spreadcoin other than the fact that the logo is in it but it looks pretty awesome. My internet sucks so it's going to take 1 hour to upload the 100mb file. I understand what your getting at, but maybe instead of shattering (almost looks like the logo's are distroyed), the logo's could be build up showing the miners work together? Spread being truly decentralised - equal circles. Dark clusterd circles within circles to illustrate pool mining.  Yeah,your picture is better. So what I should do is cut out the first half of the gif? |

Here is my animation:  I don't think it's a good idea to put DRK&SPR together,for DRK is not mining decentralized at all. But that is the whole point of the animation. It says "Each broken piece represents a pool or miner" and darkcoin only has a few pieces showing how centralised it is. |

Here is the animation I have been working on for 2 days. All up it probably took 7 hours because it was my first time modelling everything. But in the future it should be quicker.  Please leave suggestions for more animations. Please donate a few Spreadcoins if you like the animation I made and can spare a few. Enjoy! Awesome. Not bad for a first one. An Idea I had, but never had the time to do in blender goes something like this: Create a tower of 500 stacked blocks, maybe 4x4 coins per story, making the tower 30 stories high or something. Put coin symbols on those blocks. So this tower represents all the cryptocoins. Now shoot a Spreadcoin cannon ball at the tower and make it collapse. (with some nice blender physics) You can do it! Ok, that'll be easy. My friend sent me a video of him applying textures so i'm sure I can do it. PS: probably won't work as GIF, but why not just render a video and put it on youtube?
Spreadcoin presence on youtube is ZERO at the moment... this will have to change. Actually all my gifs are youtube videos. Check out my channel; e1ghtSpaceI could use some views. cool ,though the background is a little dark It was originally a nice dark grey colour but youtube said "we fixed the lighting" and I liked their new version. But I guess I could change it back if you want. |
