Made some money on this one. Think i'll wait for it to drop before buying in again.
yeah i think i made a dollar or 2 about a year ago when this coin was on see sex. dumped em all just before being delisted. fired up the old qt again(after undeleting it. thanx avast) and lo and behold, had some leftover dust! jumped back in when i saw that fancy shmancy new wallet. and the price surge. even got the miner to work and hit a coupla blocks , ty! woot i figured out that it helps to have the wallet open and synched....lol anyway to the moon etc.... Its funny that it got delisted from c-cex. Hardly anyone was using it so it had really low volume. I think that was before it went up in price, then Bittrex was the only exchange. I am not too sure though.

Just new in here. Anyone can point me how to setup my own service node? Any tutorial?
Thanks!
We don't have any tutorials yet but we will. (When servicenodes actually get released). It may be a while before then, but not too long. Looks like the price is stable at 0.00017 btc. I hope it stays that way. If anyone is interested, I made a cool animation: https://youtu.be/wu-WfaJjvaEHeres a picture of a frame: (click on it for a high res version) if you want to - i can setup a longer term render of it at a much higher res using blender ( under linux ) if you have the source for it ... that is really kool mate ... #crysx Seriously!!?? That's awesome, thanks man. Ok, i'll work a little more on it and then i'll give you the source, though it might be a few days. I can just give you the .blend, right? I found an awesome background for it too, it's from NASA. yup - seriously ... i was so heavily into 3d graphics and pure raytracing ( not scanline rendering like autocad at the time ) back when povray was THE opensource utility to use ... i know fedora 23 x64 has blender in the repo - but i have no idea how to use it ... its been a long time since the days of povray ... so ill install it - and get started when you are ready mate ... i had built a grid system a while back to process these images and animations on a very powerful multicomputer system grid ... it comprised of many many MANY computers linked up and processing as one machine with may cpus ... nowadays - gpus do the exact same thing in a single card ... ... so if you up for it - i am to ... no matter how long the animation takes ... #crysx Wow. Thanks Crysx. So, how many samples can you do? The animation used 100 samples/frame (took around 22 seconds/ frame) and the image used 10000. So, 2000 seconds or 33 minutes. I think it was actually less than that, but yeah you get the idea. More samples = less noise = longer render time. I am trying to bring the render time down but I really don't know how to, I am using portals and I think it is creating less noise but that's about it. If anyone can help, it will be appreciated. im unsure how that would work with blender - but there was no way you could reduce image time in povray ... it rendered EVERY light ray and its consequences on the surfaces of each object perfectly ... i built a grid based on the povray renderer and mpi - which cut the rendering time down by a HUGE amount ... but that was a while back - and i have no idea about how to do anything in blender ... but these machines are on 24 / 7 - and the cpu time is almost completely free - as thefarm only uses the gpus to mine ... let me know ... #crysx Wait, so you're going to use CPUs to render it? I used my R90 290X and it took pretty long. Both images took 20 minutes each. Anyway, which looks better; (click on the image to see it larger) This: Or This:

So will servicenodes be paid different rates depending on what services they provide? For example, will a servicenode hosting a decentralised bitcoin block explorer be paid less than a service node hosting a decentralised bitcoin and namecoin block explorer?
How will the rates (the servicenode's pay) be decided?

I posted this on the last page, but I don't know if anyone will see it.
Are there any bounties that you need to get completed. (Video showcases or tutorials you want made) I am really annoyed that I only have 2700 spr. I wanted to buy more today but I just can't seem to find a website to convert AUD into BTC easily (without having to verify an ID Ro anything). Does anyone know a way?
I can't think of any that are unclaimed at the moment but I expect that there will be plenty of guides needing to be created in the next few weeks. HOLY F*$&@ng S%*#!!! I just found out that I have 3000 Spreadcoins in my BITTREX ACCOUNT!!!!!! YESS!! I am so happy. I seriously was disappointed that I had hardly any. I can't even remember having them there. I also found a way to covert PayPal to BTC by converting it through a second life exchange. (I converted $100 before I found out about the good news, but I don't mind) Edit 1: I really REALLY have no clue about how they got there. Actually I vaguely remember splitting my bitcoins between Spreadcoin (good investment) and Motocoin (currently bad investment). Man, I just... I can't believe this. Edit 2: Are we currently experiencing a bubble? Because I am unsure weather to buy now or wait. Can I hear some of your opinions?

Ok I don't know how, but I just found out that I have an additional 3k spr in bittrex.

Are there any bounties available? I have a lot of free time on my hands currently.
Does anyone know an easy way to buy Spreadcoins using a debit card?

Georgem, will one computer be able to run multiple service nodes?
No, one servicenode per IP only. (using port 41678). Also every altcoin hosted can only exist once. When UBA sees two coins with the same blockchain but different port, it will only consider one of them. (the one that is using the official port for that coin) Ok, if someone has 2 servicenodes on one IP will the one with more Spreadcoins be used? Also, with altcoin wallets, what if someone has 2 ports that are both non default open, then what would happen, just one would be picked?

Yeah, I just read the book and watched the movie. When you say "second part" do you mean 2010? I've started reading that book, maybe I should watch the movie first.
Yes: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086837/Ah great, turns out I already downloaded it. I guess I'll watch it today. I was expecting this movie to be worse, you know how sometimes the sequels suck. The funny thing is, Stanley Kubrick specifically says in the first novel that he doesn't write sequels.
