^^All those people who sell Starbucks and similar gift cards at like 50% of their value--those have absolutely got to be stolen/carded/hacked/cracked.  Anything that looks too good to be true probably is and there are so many things for sale on this forum that look way, waaaay too good to be true.

Edite to add:  Whoops, I mean to point the arrows at Jhanza's reply.
even if it is probably is too good to be true, there is probably no way to find out is there?
Um, yes you could buy it and find out when the gift card gets canceled or the cops show up at your door.  My point is that you can assume with good confidence that if someone's selling something that looks too good to be true, that it is stolen/carded/hacked/cracked.

For me, I'm not going to risk it.
OK, so going by your logic, go out and buy the stuff you think are cracked/hacked/stolen and tell us they get cancelled or the cops show up at your door then make a scam accusation thread when you have the evidence

/thread
My point was that yes you can find out if things are too good to be true, by getting caught. I wasn't suggesting it as a method of proof.

Ah okay. I was just speaking in general

The problem is guessing and the discussion about it. A netflix or hulu acc for 3$ cant be legit. Please proof me wrong.

As long as you report them and they are obviously hacked/cracked/stolen then it is highly likely that they are going to be removed. I remove after I see a reported thread. There isn't a fixed rule in regards to this.
However:
Quote
17. Trading of goods that are illegal in the seller's or buyer's country is forbidden.
it is indirectly affected by this rule. Such accounts are illegal everywhere. We'll have to wait for theymos to make a statement in regards to this (there have been some in the past).

According to the stats of my reports nothing happend or a mod choosed to dissmiss it. I reported only three thread were the op stated the accounts were hacked. I might recall my stats wrong but it seems so. I will just go on and report everything that smells fishy.

@Minifrij i might be wrong on this but what bob does is not the common rule. He gives away stuff without asking for something or if he asks people know already there is some kind of reward. I like bob but the digital good section is not full of bobs giving away "expensive" stuff for for cheap because they want other people to jerk off without getting poor. Thats a fact and that logic works perfect in life. But please proof i am wrong.

Edit: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1327486.0 i would love to learn that this is legal. I just would like to know why i can buy accounts that cheap. Shouldnt be a problem to explain it if its legal.

it is, as their tos (haha sooo funny) sometimes states: you are not allowed to change any account related data. just as an example
1371  Other / Meta / Re: Hacked, cracked, carded... bitcointalk - home of scumbags on: January 23, 2016, 08:38:47 PM
if someone is selling an account for some pornsite at 2$ while its actually worth 24.95$ and they get asked: "are those accounts hacked?" they reply, most of the time "normal accounts wouldnt be that cheap" so its pretty obvious. some mebers sometimes even write it in their threads right away...

question is, as always: why is someone selling something for a certain price that is normaly worth 10 times of what they ask for.

sup,

by looking at the digital goods section i see a ton of "stuff" (most likley accounts) that were somehow obtained in a non legal way. just for the fun i reported 3 of those theads, nothing happend. i contacted a mod, twice, no reply.

So i think its okay selling stolen stuff on bitcointalk, while half of the forum is crying about getting scammed when dealing with other people. seems legit. in my opinion its pretty clear why this forum is full of scum, because we dont do anything about it.

i am not complaining, i just had the feeling i would feel better when i post about it.

greetings

EDIT: and yes i tried to get a vouch copy on one of that offers to see what will happen. i also contact a stupid seller that posted an account password to see how he would react. of course, nothing happend.
