1362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: May 23, 2021, 11:55:35 PM
The king of all coins will probably be Bitcoin, but if you ask if it is going to be the king of all exchange coins that could be correct as there is no exchange that can currently compete with Binance in terms of trading volume and the revenue they generate.
1363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase wallet vs Meta Mask wallet on: May 23, 2021, 11:54:44 PM
The metamask wallet is under constant development and improvement and it perfectly integrates with essentially all important exchange applications out there. I would go with Metamask as it wills tay like that. There is a team behind it and it is also open source so no danger for back doors.
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What percentage of investment BTC vs ETH on: May 23, 2021, 11:53:40 PM
in my opinion you have done your best because bitcoin is the most appropriate investment but if you want to invest in ethereum maybe 5% is enough and the remaining 5% you can choose other favorite coins
Yes, but instead of feeling confused about it, it's better to choose two, namely Bitcoin and Ethereum, and if you are sure of other Altcoins, then it's also a good idea to choose BNB and LTC at this point because the prices are cheap.

The two ae good options now though they could drop further. Maybe take 10% - 15% and invest it in one coin that you understand and like and have some stronger potential for higher returns.
1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Erc20 tokens send fee on: May 23, 2021, 11:52:38 PM
The problem is that every token running on top of Ethereum will cost you a fortune to send. That's the issue for all the small token holders because the fee to send those tokens is higher than the value of the tokens themselves. We need a solution to that asap.
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End of memecoin season by Vitalik Buterin or not? on: May 23, 2021, 11:51:41 PM
It should be over for meme coins now once and for all except for very rare occasions where a meme coin maybe even has some good features. Other than that a coin with a dog on it won't make it again in the future.

1368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End of memecoin season by Vitalik Buterin or not? on: May 16, 2021, 06:24:44 PM

they are going to hate Vitalik for doing this. but then they just simply presumed Vitalik will participate in what they are doing, they didn't even talk to them before sending tokens to him. and since memecoin are just destroying the market, vitalik's action could just be a sign of frustration to him and destroys these dog tokens.  i didn't know there is also akita inu tokens, this is really getting worse.

No I don't think they expected him to participate. They wanted to rip off those newbies who have heard of the name Vitalik Buterin, then read their white paper and check Buterin's address and somehow themselves create a connection between Buterin and the project where in fact no connection exists. Good to see Vitalik fired back.
1369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Erc20 tokens send fee on: May 16, 2021, 06:22:18 PM
It is believed that during 12AM or so, gas fee's for ETH are low. If you want to have small fees, sacrifice some of your sleep and try to transact when everyone's are asleep. Or if you can still wait, wait for Eth 2.0 adoption. They say that it could lower down Eths network fee substantially.

That's indeed true. There are favorable times throughout the day when you want to save some of your transaction costs. I don't know what your observations are, but I think the highest fees are when the US is awake all over the continent and can trade. Late evening US the fee goes down I believe.
1370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What percentage of investment BTC vs ETH on: May 16, 2021, 06:20:38 PM
I went with a 75% BTC and 25% ETH for the time being.  Of course neither one of them is doing very well at the moment.  To answer an earlier post, I've been into BTC for several years.  I first bought a bit at $800 and added a little more around $3000 and continued up to about $12000, so I've made a bit of profit so far.  But BTC has slowed down while others have been galloping ahead, so thought it might be time to diversify.

Hi, I would consider at least one other project that you are interested and understand sufficiently well. Go with 10% or so, doesn't have to be too big of a deal unless you want to take the risk. Privacy coins can be a good choice (Monero) as well.
1371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase wallet vs Meta Mask wallet on: May 16, 2021, 06:18:41 PM
If coinbase provides their users with private keys, why not use their wallet? Though personally I wouldn't use it, because I don't trust exchanges... In my opinion Metamask is more convenient and reliable!

It doesn't matter if they provide the private keys. What matters is whether they hold the private keys which is bad in case of a security breach.
1372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: May 16, 2021, 06:17:38 PM
A completely centralized network built on a copy of the ETH cannot be the king of the market. This is a good exchange coin, nothing more. Due to the burning and locking of BNB in various projects, it has tremendous growth and popularity. But there can be only one king - Bitcoin.

Someone who knows what he is talking about. Everybody is comparing ETH to BNB and BNB will kill ETH and so on. BNB won't do anything like that because it is centralized, that's it. The guys celebrating BNB as king of alt coins take a motor bicycle, overtake a bus and scream at the bus that they are faster.
1373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you limit your gambling time? on: May 10, 2021, 11:41:15 PM
Too much ‘genius’ opinions on this topic. Maybe it’s time for some real proofs. Does anyone want to make a journey of 1 month with limiting their time allocating for gambling and the next month without? That would be fun.
If you have control, you can try it and make your own journey of 1 month, but if you do not have good control, I suggest you do not try that because you can lose your money anytime.

I prefer to hold my bitcoin and altcoins this time because I see a chance for me to sell at the next high price of bitcoin and altcoins, so that means I can profit from trading. I can play gambling on other days and not today as I want to make money before I am late.

If you have that good balance and you really know how to limit yourself, that journey might be fun, whatever the result may be you acan easily take it and move forward.

But if you don't have that personalities, it's really tough and dangerous as you can get addicted and completely lose all your money.

The fun won't be there if you lose all your savings, best to anticipate things befor you push forward.

Correct and now with all the choices you have and digital cash it is even easier to lose control. Deposits are just simple and gambling with crypto is even more addictive as you don't physically hold anything in your hands that you would have to give away. It means it is less painful for that moment to lose that money and much easier to deposit again.
The ease of using cryptocurrency shouldn't be an excuse to use as something that leads to a gambling addiction but I don't if you understand that gambling is not for everybody and this is the fact a lot of people in the gambling community don't want to face because every gambler that can control his buzz is already addicted before the game start.

True but you might be more cautious when you have to spend cash instead of cryptocurrencies. I can imagine that some people have a different relation to their crypto than they would have to their cash or even credit card. Addictions always suck no matter what type of addiction it is. Availability and accessibility is an issue often times.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: May 10, 2021, 11:38:34 PM
I used to buy GPU-s with what I got from signature earnings and I was lucky because I bought cards that costs now 2500 EUR a piece with the price of 1100 EUR so I am very happy about that. Now that the price of GPU-s is untouchable for a normal person with a normal job like me I use the signature earnings to buy FUN tokens and keep them in my Freebitco.in balance. They give me some benefits and if the price go up it is a win win situation for me.
Diversify when you do have the opportunity even though sig earnings arent really that big but if you do able to save it out for investment purpose then it can really give out that chance.

Same as yours where i do make out some purchase of some cheap alts on my signature campaign earnings which is a form of diversifying even if its not big but it did really give out
some good results and make profits even more.It might not really be that big but still a considerable amount to have.

There have been great signature campaigns even though I missed. Sovryn was a good one that I missed but it's good to have a little chance to participate in the potential success of a promising project from time to time.

It's been a while since I looked at the thread and I am quite surprised how the poll turned out in the end. At the start the number of people who sold their signature earnings into fiat currency again was a very small. But now it is more than 60% of the people here who sell at least some of their signature earnings again. This might be related due to the high bitcoin price lately, but still there is so much room for bitcoins to improve. I would not sell any coins tight now. Gambling with our coins is fine because we can grow our crypto portfolio. But once we  sell our coins we won't profit from any future appreciation.

Well yeah maybe because of the high Btc price. Though Gambling your Btc today will give you good return because of the high price as well. But not everyone has a high risk tolerance. So, they might as well sell it for necessities.
But in a long term perspective, selling your earnings today might be a big regret in the future.

Hello. Where can I find out more about the signature campaign? How to join this campaign? TIA.

This is not the right thread for this question.
Anything newbie related questions can be answered in this section.
It's going to be a long journey for you to be able to qualify in applying signature campaigns.

But there is a problem if you use your cryptocurrencies for gambling as that leads to taxable events. I believe it could entail taxation in the same sense as if you were to sell your cryptocurrencies.

Different laws all over the world, but I guess in most countries there is taxation for that situation.
1377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: May 09, 2021, 11:44:29 PM
As information from CZ: 1.2 billion dollars BNB is transferred in 1 second, which takes less than 2 cents

On June 26, about $ 1.2 billion Binance Coin (BNB) was transferred in 1.1 seconds, for a fee of only $ 0.015 on Binance Chain, disclosures of this data were published on WhaleAlert , a platform that tracks important transactions. The exact amount of BNB transferred is 32,888,888. As a Twitter user pointed out, 8 is a number unlike anyone in Chinese arithmetic, quoting Wikipedia: "Number 8 is considered a good number that even some 8s are considered is very lucky ".

With such successes do you think BNB will become the All coin king?

BNB cannot be the king of all coins because the king is the owner of the 8-digit coin, and everyone must say that the king of all coins is Bitcoin. So in my opinion whatever happens to BNB will not affect Bitcoin as the king of all coins. these are facts and not opinions circulating in society.

I missed those news but that's quite the statement in favor of Binance Chain.

No bank in the world can compete with such data. That's impressive, but will those fees on Binance Chain rise expectedly?

1379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: May 03, 2021, 08:59:45 PM
BNB's development is always very good and a team that is always active will be the driving force for development. That's what makes BNB a favorite among traders now, apart from Eth
however I don't believe that BNB or any token will replace bitcoin, it might be a coin that is better in function, but for the price and role model I think bitcoin is the first and will be the father of all altcoins including BNB,

The discussion is always about Ethereum against Binance Smart Chain, but I think they can very well coexist and compete with each other in a constructive way. It is good to have competitors so they are forced to innovate in the interest of the users.
1380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin high fee has brought dogecoin to limelight on: May 03, 2021, 08:57:35 PM
The advantage with Dogecoin is that although the block size is similar to that of Bitcoin (1MB), on average the blocks are mined every one minute instead of 10 minutes as the case with Bitcoin. And due to low acceptability of Dogecoin, the Mempool is almost always empty (although this may change in the future). Eventually Bitcoin will lose out because the miners have refused to lower the transaction fee. But it will be too early at this point to predict whether DOGE will benefit out of it.

In the end Bitcoin will lose out? What about scaling solutions? Everything in life scales. Cars scale, bicycles scale, hardware scales, and Bitcoin will also scale, it just needs time.

Scaling solutions are underway and once they are rolled out step by step (which is not easy to do), it will take time until some of them are sufficiently understood by the uses in regards to how to use them (e.g. lightning channels). Hopefully, most of them don't even need some extra effort on behalf of the user. That would be the best case scenario.

I agree that the magic should happen in the backend or on the protocol level. If there are users that are not overly tech-savvy, it will be hard to convince them to use a complicated technology in their everyday life.

They won't do it as we all prefer easy solutions and go for compromises when it makes life a little bit easier. Although we sometimes shouldn't.

Yes there is no way around it. You can compare it to the old personal computers when you had to use Linux like programs or DOS. Who would have used that for personal purposes. The average 60 year old wouldn't have used computers today if they still were like that. It is all easy to use and intuitive, at least for the most part. Cheesy On a few occasions the machines still do whatever they want and not what we want them to do. Wink

I doubt anyone would be using it today, at least not as much as computers are now part of our every day life. They are literally integrated everywhere and into whatever you can think of. We are a good bit away from cryptocurrencies being so widely understood and easily usable as computers, but that will also become an integral part of our lives soon.

Getting closer from day to day! There are so many mobile applications already which people can use on a daily basis. I think the law is more of a problem, taxation and so on. You can't really use crypto without all the taxation hassle even for the smallest amounts. If that dust also settles we'll see the whole evolution enfold its potential.
