After such a disappointing season Chelsea need a serious rebuild anyway, so buying a good coach is not enough, no wonder so many players are leaving the club. The real question is, who will be in their place now?

There are a couple of things at work why a lot of players are leaving the club. This is not only related to the failure of the 22/23 season, but also to some of them having those offers from Saudi Arabia and also the need for a complete overhaul of the team. They have been burning money through a chimney for a whole year and have nothing the can build upon or to start from. It was predictable that they will now once again have three times the incoming and outgoing transfers of any other team in the Premier League. But seriously if they restructure the whole team again and fail again, I would love to see their reaction after another awful season Cheesy

I'm wondering how Dortmund is going to perform in the Bundesliga and this time just like the last two seasons we saw from Dortmund I'm waiting to see another young talent growing up in this team like they had Haalnd and Jude Bellingham before and they sold both.
Maybe this time Dortmund will sell another young talent to mean more just like what they did in the past.

What they have done in the last season is about what they did in the seasons before as well. i mean the overall result. But when their goal is to finally overturn Bayern's dominance in the Bundesliga, the result has to be much better this time and I say much better because I don't believe that Bayern will underdeliver again like they did last season. Often times when Bayern got into danger or their titles got into danger, the response was that they became much better afterwards. And it would be nothing but a surprise if they have the same chaos again. Therefore, if Dortmund wants the top of the table, there can't be any excuses in any of the games that are a must win game on paper. They have to meet the expectations then.

If you are trying to imply that it is the sole responsibility of the athletes to protest against the human rights abuses happening in Saudi Arabia and other countries? Messi's own country (Argentina) maintain business and political ties with Saudi Arabia, so do countries such as the United States and France. As far as I know, there are no sanctions or embargoes from the United Nations that are directed towards KSA.

And if your argument is that rich people have the luxury of the laws bending down to them in Saudi Arabia, then I need to remind you that it happens everywhere including the United States (where Inter Miami is based). Look at Sam Bankman Fraud. Despite stealing $8 billion, he is chilling out at his home without facing any time in prison. If some ordinary guy had stolen $8 from a local Walmart in the US, he would have been behind the bars by now.

Going the tit for tat route when comparing the US and Saudi Arabia is certainly possible, but I am not sure whether it makes too much sense. There are lots of indices and it is good to see that even the US gets criticized or scored lower than lots of countries when they actually deserve a lower score, but there are not even close to the disastrous overall freedom indices scores where Saudi Arabia is to be found. the comparison lacks substance in all respects and this is not because I want to say that the US is a holy country with no issues and errors. Indeed there is lots of stupid stuff going on, but again, it is not Saudi Arabia like.

I have also never said that I know why Messi chose not to go there. I said that it could possibly be a statement and apart from all that I am quite sure that he feels a little bit more free in Miami than in the cities of Saudi Arabia. That counts for his family as a whole. For the whole ecosystem I think it is good that not everyone ends up playing in the desert state.

Honestly I’m not happy that Arsenal is really going to pay what Westham are asking for on Declan Rice that hasn’t played anything worthy of that heavy sum. Honestly Arsenal really need good scouting network. Because this is why good scouting network is so important especially when you aren't on Premier league level of spending. All other big clubs have no problem forking out millions for what ever they want. Brighton for example, the have. Avery good scouting network, that’s because they don’t have the financial capacity.  Arsenal really need to find a great scouting team instead of spending all their budget on 2 players.

Arsenal did make an offer of £75 million for Declan Rice and they also offered £15 million as an add-on. But even that offer was rejected by West Ham. I think Arsenal is actually going to spend £100 million on these players. I really do not think it is going to be a very good idea to do that. I mean, Arsenal could find another player with this amount of money. I

understand that they feel like they absolutely need him in the squad. But for £100 million I don’t think it is going to be a good transfer. Regardless to say if Declan Rice does not perform well enough, they are not going to be able to sell him for a decent price. I just don’t know if this is a risk worth taking.

I already know that Arsenal is ready to spend a lot of money in this transfer market. They are spending £100 million on one player. And they are still going to bring in other players as well.

But whom? Declan Rice has the perfect age and he has a long experience to look back on when he now were to join Arsenal. He is also playing a special position and he is in the Premier League. All of these teams like West Ham who lose their key players know that they can charge a lot of money because there is a lot of money circulating in the Premier League anyway. From that point of view they are doing it right and since we will see more transfers approaching those amounts they thought they can also try to get as much for Rice. West Ham also knows that other teams are after him as well.

Now it has also been confirmed that Pep will remain at Manchester City next season after previously several rumors said he would leave but with a recent statement even though he doesn't really expect a new contract extension considering his contract is still awake until 2025 but for this season he confirmed he would remain at Manchester City.
At this time I also read some related news that now there are 3 names that have been prepared and are a priority for Pep this season.
We know Mateo Kovacic is now their main target, on the other hand there is the name Julio Enciso winger from Brighton who is also being approached and this is likely to anticipate that Mahrez will leave because indeed he is also now in the club's lyrics from Arabic and there is the name Josko Gvardiol who is projected to strengthen their line of defense next season.

It still remains to be seen what Pep will say in two years from now. I don't what he will do when he has built this project and perhaps the best team in the world and it is still winning titles, will he then decide to leave the club for sure? He has some very strict ideas in mind and he has shown that he sticks to them although he also once said that he will leave Manchester City after a couple of years. If Haaland is at his best in two years from now and they can also get some other world stars who knows if Guardiola reconsiders his decision from today? If he sees the potential for another successful year he might extend the contract for another year. But for now it matters that they defend the titles they won.

A lot of my friends believe that it is better to spin the Slots manually, because "Auto spin" are rigged by the casinos... but that is also a myth. A lot of things come into play when a bet is made and it has nothing to do with the "auto bet" feature. (Client Seed / Server Seed & RNG and RTP ...)

Have you pressed the "bet" button, before the reels have stopped.. thinking that it will give you a favorable outcome on your bet? Well, I have news for you... the outcome has been decided in milliseconds after you pressed the button for the bet, the GUI interface happens long after that to display the outcome of the bet to you.  Grin (Go into the developer mode of your browser to see this)

What patterns do you see and how much do you believe in it?

I don't. It is one thing if the slot or roulette wheel is rigged, but if it is not, which is what will happen if you play on a trusted site, there are no patterns. Each spin is completely random and the patterns are more like mental constructs that people make by drawing lines over the past but which are not useful for predicting the future, and if they ever match the prediction according to their pattern with the actual outcome, it is by coincidence. The results are based on pure randomness.

Not only are people trying to construct patterns based on past events, but they would very often neglect the house's edge mathematically. When they calculate the odds they often think that Roulette also having a neutral 0 when they bet on red and black could be neglected because it is statistically insignificant. But it isn't. As you said that are mental constructs and even tiny percentage numbers accumulate to very significant variables when they play repeatedly for a very long time. As a bottom line everyone should understand that gambling is a losing activity and suited for short-term amusement.

I'm not sure if this news has been confirmed but what I know is that PSG also defended Mbappe to stay at PSG. because it will be very bad if Mbappe leaves PSG like there will be no strength anymore after several top players leave PSG.
I can't imagine PSG will be able to do well in the summer if Mbappe does leave PSG but I hope not. because PSG really needs the best players like Mbappe.
I doubt the news, Maybe he likes to leave, but as usual, he will not. Mbappe has been one of the major players in that PSG team. In important games where he does not play, we always see how PSG struggle because that his ability to make quick runs and score with just a touch will be missing in the game. With Messi now out of PSG and Neymar set to leave too, Mbappe knows there will be more responsibility for him. PSG will get new players in the transfer market, that can majorly play with him to win the champions league in PSG, he is not leaving.

I wouldn't be too sure about this because Mbappe realizes that he has to change something about his career if he wants to have a career that people will remember in many years from now. Mbappe is a great player right now winning Ligue 1 and being the top scorer in one of the weaker European leagues. He did win the World Cup and performed well, but everyone still thinks that his career is still incomplete and I agree with that. He took the money twice and turned down offers from highly prestigious clubs and now he knows it's time to go somewhere else where his career gets the recognition it deserves. I can imagine that he will leave PSG.
Messi's departure and rumors of Neymar leaving PSG have made Mbappe very influential.
and it is very true that if Mbappe wants his career to be even better then he has to move from PSG and go to a team that can compete on the European stage.
I absolutely agree that if he went to Real Madrid, Mbappe would be much better there but I'm a bit pessimistic at the moment because the player and the Real Madrid team clashed last season.

In professional football I believe these clashes and disappointments are temporary. Look how often a player todays says he loves the club and tomorrow he sits in a private jet going to take the medicine check with a different club. That is how the business works and who knows better than Real Madrid. Also Mbappe is only 24 years old and Real Madrid can't close the doors for him when they ever want to see him play for their club and I am sure they want that as the whole world wants that. He would be a winning transfer in many aspects and Real Madrid will now do what is necessary to convince him to go there. But everyone talks about Real Madrid I noticed. Couldn't it also be possible that Manchester City is negotiating with him and Mbappe would like to play for them and be managed by Guardiola?

There are so many positive signals from the recently concluded FIFA U-20 World Cup. And it bodes well for the expansion of the game. Apart from the European teams, everyone else put up an impressive performance. Uzbekistan put up a strong fight in Group A (where Argentina was placed), and Ecuador, Nigeria and Gambia also performed well in their respective groups. Those who disappointed are France, Japan and Senegal. Anyway, the results of this tournament once again confirms the massive growth of the game in Asia and Africa, and at the same time the decline of UEFA.
Uruguay got a win over Italy with a score of 1 - 0 with this win they became champions and brought home the U20 World Cup trophy.
Some of the teams that top the standings of each group performed quite well and this is a good development for the successors to the national football teams in each country.
It's a shame that Argentina, who became the leader in Group A, couldn't play until the final.
From the last final match, the one who felt the most disappointment was Italy because they failed to fight for the trophy only because they lost 1 goal to Uruguay.

It wasn't that they only lost by a 1 goal difference against Uruguay, but Uruguay was the much better team in that game and could have taken the lead several times during the game much earlier than that. Italy didn't have a single shot on target in over 90 minutes!

In reality the goalkeeper of Italy saved them from Uruguay winning by at least 3 or even more goals. I thought that Italy will play the better football and put Uruguay under pressure, but it was the other way around all the time. The win was for the right team in this match and I wasn't very impressed by the younger players that Italy has in development right now.

The truth is I do not think even they knew what they were going to do, according to the rumors Messi did indeed wanted to play at the Saudi Arabian league, but his wife simply did not agree with the decision to move there and that is why he is now at Miami, after all as we have discussed before the restrictions and laws on a country like Saudi Arabia could feel very restricting for some people and that is why Messi finally decided to play at Miami instead.

If that is the real reason why Messi preferred MLS instead of the SPL, then I have to say that it is a big mistake. Look at Ronaldo. He is residing with his girlfriend in Saudi Arabia, despite the fact that unmarried couples are de jure not permitted in the kingdom. Saudi Arabia has relaxed a lot of their strict laws recently. For rich people, many of the laws are not applicable. I just hope that Messi will not regret about the lost opportunity. $1.2 billion offer was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Hopefully, he will rethink about it after a year in MLS.
...

Whether your words have been wisely chosen and are well-considered will remain unanswered I suppose.

Messi won't ever regret his decision because he will be a billionaire with or without a contract in the SPL. But what you said about the laws and how they only apply to rich people could be the exact reason why Messi did not go there. Ronaldo took the money from people in a country where a lot of things go wrong and are dominated by injustice. But you call it a lost opportunity when someone decides against taking the money. Let's see if he decides to go there later, but someone saying no to Saudi bloody money isn't a mistake, it can also be a statement.

Don't worry too much about Messi's financial future. I am positive that he will be able to afford his bread and butter everyday.

Pep Guardiola has shown in the past that he's very good in replacing members of his squad immediately they leave his club and he does it so efficiently that the player's absence wouldn't be felt no matter how important he was to the team's progress. He did it after the departure of Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero, and David Silva .
However I think IIkay Gundogan still has a lot in the tank to give out when it comes to delivering top performances for ManCity but time will tell if he'll remain in the club to do more for them or be allowed to leave

Guardiola also has a very good understanding of whom to let go and whom to keep in the team. He has an idea in mind of the type of soccer he wants to play and the type of players he needs both in basic quality, but also in intensity and motivation and persistence. A good example was when he let Sané go to Bayern Munich. Sané was a strong player, but only 30% of the time during a season and we can see that again now at Bayern Munich where Sané sucks really hard most of the time. That is why Guardiola had no issues to let him go. Guardiola needs players who are willing to go the full distance and beyond, who are ready every single game of the season and who are willing to accept pain in exchange for success. Today he has a team that exactly fulfills these requirements. Manchester City can go a very high level for a very long time and just for a weekend.
854  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of artificial intelligence, chat GPT on the crypto market. on: June 13, 2023, 04:56:21 AM
I see AI development with its positive and negatives. I think AI will increase securities and fight fraud attempts so hard for sure. We can see lot less phishing in future because self learning AI can easily detect those especially with crypto frauds on twitter. On the other hand AI assisted bots in trading can be even better than before. Human users may have hard time trading at markets because of very very developed AI supported bots.
I don't think that everyone will use such bots for their trading activities considering it is a very big security threat because your account might have a pretty large sum of money that can be compromised since these AI models are centralized, maybe in the future, an AI model is created only with the intent to make trades which will be totally decentralized and will work using smart contracts, that might be more trusted.

We are currently only at the initial stages of AI development, and we will obviously see a lot of more better and stronger tools than ChatGPT in the future, but there is nothing guaranteed, things can also go the other way and AI might fail in the long run.

You could probably program all kinds of limits and authentication measures into the code that you want to be executed or adhered to while a bot is trading for you, but apart from the fact that these technologies might be centralized, and even if they could be further decentralized with additional development, everyone should be aware that bots are already used for trading on a large scale. Whether ChatGPT now joins the party or not, it is a data based model that can at best make predictions based on extrapolations and it can capture the sentiment of the market by scraping sources from the Internet, but I still doubt that any ChatGPT application will outperform bots that have other names. These bots get trained with data as well, but they all suffer from the same problems - they can't predict the unpredictable. They won't tell you about a COVID 19 lockdown and that the economy will get hit for a while and people have less money to invest. They won't tell you about helicopter money in advance that could get invested into financial assets again and pump up the market. They won't tell you about Putin starting a war tomorrow or launching atomic weapons. These bots work in an environment that is predictable more or less, which in turn makes these bots more of an everyday tool to everyone, which then tightens the yield for everyone to be gained from bot applications. High frequency trading is still part of the game and bot-driven, but that is usually done by the big players in the game. This one ChatGPt bot that everyone can use and make money won't exist. Unless markets grow forever without stagnation or recession, we are still dealing with zero sum games to a certain degree.

What transpired between Conte and Tottenham is not far from being fetched, I believe the management has been noticing his style against the team and was unbearable to them after he called his team selfish after a match. This, of course, can't be the only reason, the internal issues with the players and the management which are not obvious to the media must have added to it. And as for Kane, his transfer is long overdue, Tottenham is not a fitting club for his personality anymore.

This is well said. A coach wouldn't say what you just mentioned when there wasn't an issue already before that. But even if a coach fires some bullets against the team, sometimes that is necessary as well. I haven't seen the game or the situation when he said those words against his team about selfishness, but Tottenham had some games that were absolutely unacceptable. First the game against Newcastle and then also the game against Liverpool when they were 0-3 down after 15 minutes again. As a coach I would lose my mind when.

Regarding Kane you nailed it, the transfer is overdue. But to what club? I think Newcastle could be an interesting option for him since they are a team on the rise, could use his experience and they are ambitious to build a strong team over the next years. He could be the perfect leader for the project that is already going in the right direction.

Loyalty has become a rare good in the world of professional sports, but I also understand when a player wants to win some titles. It is what sportsmen are competing for eventually. If he now decides to leave Tottenham, I think it would be right to appreciate what he has done for the club but also respect and welcome his decision to start a new chapter elsewhere and pursue his dream to win a trophy or two. Part of the truth is that Tottenham isn't the right place to win anything right now. He has to leave now or he won't leave ever for another club in Europe.
There is no point if Kane stays there or stays with Spurs, it is time for him to seek new experiences and new achievements including the trophies he has dreamed of which he will most likely get when he joins another team. Nothing can stop him if he really wants to leave and I hope the management will respect whatever decision he makes including his departure. So far I have heard rumors that many big clubs want to ask for her hand, but on the other hand Kane has made a statement that he only wants to move to Manchester United, and this effective attitude has indirectly dashed the hopes of various big teams who want to ask for her hand like Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. But I don't know exactly what the facts are, I hope he will still leave Tottenham in the summer because after all, it is for his own career.

That is also what I read in the media so far that he does not want to go abroad to Bayern Munich and rather stay in the Premier League. I don't know whether he would make an exception for Real Madrid, but I think that Real Madrid isn't sure about him either because he is not in his 20s anymore. But one thing is for sure and that is that Tottenham won't be able to ask as much money for him as they did one or two years ago as his contract will expire last year. They would forego a lot of money if they decided to let him go as a free agent next year. It would also not be fair because everyone here is talking about loyalty and I think Kane has been a great example for that. Then a club should also appreciate that loyalty and give him a fair chance to pursue one other adventure in his career and life.
857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 12, 2023, 12:25:31 PM
Many media are currently discussing Kane's future, but until now no one has managed to guess what Kane was thinking.  I applaud the loyalty Kane has shown to Tottenham but that is not enough, however Kane is a great striker, he has to be in the right team, and hopefully next season, he will move on from Tottenham
I agree that Kane is a great striker but with a decision like this and trying to stay at a club that doesn't bring us any trophies, he is considered the most unlucky striker. With the skills he has and offers from many clubs, he still hasn't made a decision. Yes, I know he is loyal to Spurs, but this is the world of football, where every era is going to have players to their advantage. At his current age, big club offers should pay more attention. He has served the Spurs for a long time and there should be nothing stopping him from going. Kane may be his last resort to stay and the chance to taste silverware is closing in on him.

There is something about having Haaland that I can't put my finger on exactly. Sure he scored 50+ goals in a season and that's great but for the past few games he had no goals and yet they were still better with him on the field.

I mean we can always say the obvious and say that the defense collapses on him because he can score so easily and mark him tight, which allows others to score easier, but not like others scored easier neither, all the goals were tough goals, look at the UCL finals, they barely got one goal, which was a shot that bounced back right on rodrigo and he scored the shot around two defenders as well, on a hairpin precise shot, so not like the goal came easily neither. I don't know what makes him so good, he is good, just don't understand how he can be so good even when he doesn't score.

They won't let him go as a free agent. That would be the worst case scenario for Tottenham. He will leave Tottenham this summer and they are not even in the position anymore to ask for 100 million because if nobody is willing to pay that money, the risk is too high that he will indeed leave as a free agent and the incentive for Kane is quite high. If a club doesn't have to pay a transfer fee, they can offer Kane a massive signing bonus and Kane knows that as well. His position is comfortable and I am sure he is looking forward to all sorts of negotiations. He will finalize those negotiations as the winner. That is already certain.

We never know, they haven't even decided who will be the new coach. however, rumors of Galtier's dismissal have been circulating and have been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano. I'm pretty sure if Mbappe will stay with PSG, at least we'll still see him wearing a PSG shirt next season. now, Nagelsmann is the strongest candidate as their new coach. it is even reported that there has been no contract agreement with PSG, but his agent is already in Paris to have a serious meeting with the club.

If in the end there is a deal, I'm pretty sure if he can bring PSG much better than Galtier. but there is one problem, can Nagelsmann have full control in the dressing room. if so, I am optimistic that PSG will be able to bounce back. regarding players, they can bring in anyone after all PSG has abundant finances. The problem is, so far no coach has been able to bring PSG to lift the Champions League trophy. maybe with Nagelsmann and a series of new players brought in, PSG's lucky season will come. but by the way, this is just a personal opinion, even the league competition just ended. so, we'll see how it turns out later.
Nagelsmann will most probably be their next manager and that has a good side and a bad side. The good side is that he is a manager who finds the amazing talent in places nobody looks, with some of their big names are gone (and excepting to see Neymar leave too) I would guess that a manager like Nagelsmann who will build a great team could actually be the thing they are looking for, he will be perfect fit for them in the first 3 months or so.

However, he is not a tactical genius which means that he is not going to be all that great after like 6 months, when all the transfers are done and its the dog days of the year, he is not going to be able to adjust his system to whatever team needs and that's when they will realize it wasn't a great idea. He is the anti-ancelotti, ancelotti takes a team that's ready to its peak ever possible unlike anyone else, but doesn't usually build it himself.

But lacking tactical understanding doesn't seem to be the case for Nagelsmann, does it? He turned two teams (Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig) into two great competitors in the Bundesliga. He had the financial support from the club owners and then turned the players into a unit that played very intensive soccer and from my understanding there was lots of tactic involved. When he went from Hoffenheim to RB Leipzig it was easily recognizable that Nagelsmann was the new coach because RB Leipzig's tactic had the same handwriting as that of Hoffenheim. I wouldn't say he lacks high level tactical understanding.

But it is still the same problem that he would be developing a team that can win Ligue 1 without getting tested by the best European top teams The risk is that as a coach it is difficult to tell where the team stands until they finally are up against one of those high calibre teams in the Champions League. The feedback is weak within the league itself.

And what will we see from PSG in the coming year? Mbappe has said that his next step would be to play for Real Madrid? I think Mbappe may never do that again at all. Only the only big problem Mbappe has is that he will not face any opposition in the cometition in France. So he can really only enjoy his level when he plays in the CL. Then you really should go to Italy or England. Spain is qualitatively a size below it. But I don't see an Mbappe in England happening anytime soon. Haaland and Mbappe together in the striker at Manchester City would not be bad.  Grin

What's the nonsense about Spain? In what ways is Spain lower than Italy? I think that even if Inter, Juventus and Milan get the money together, they won't be able to afford Mbappe, but Real Madrid can. Another question is that Mbappe is too expensive as a commodity, he is like Neymar - very good, but the price is still higher than the sum of the positive qualities.

It depends on what you subsume under positive qualities. If you only consider him as a player on the pitch, he is probably not worth a few hundred million. But if you also take into account any merchandise revenues he generates and the buzz around the club as a whole, it might still pay off for the club to sign him for 200 million.

The transfer fees are to high these days and can't be justified in my opinion.

Spain isn't below Italy. It is true that Spain suffered a bit in the last two to three years and has not been as competitive as before because Atletico Madrid is also not as strong. But Spain isn't a weaker league than Italy. The Premier League is above all other leagues though.
