Nagelsmann was just sacked at Bayern Munich and Thomas Tuchel is on his way is the rumor. Wow I must say this is definitely a huge surprise... I mean he has perfect stats in the Champions League with 8 games and 8 wins. Eliminated PSG and is in the quarter finals of the DFB Pokal with huge chances to get into the semis.

Frankly this must hurt Nagelsmann as they take away the chance from him to win the Champions League title. It's shocking... Now Tuchel can win all three titles without having played even a third of the season. That is quite unfair.
I saw this on the news and I was really surprised for the sacked of Bayern Munich coach. No doubt Thomas Tuchel is a very good coach but the question to be asked is this the right time for the coach to be sacked?. Bayern Munich are still doing well in their performance,  I got to know that the reason for the sacked of nagelsmann was because of the game Bayern Munich lose to Bayer Leverkusen.

Sacking a coach middle of the season is risky and if maybe the players are not fast in getting use to the strategy of Tuchel quick it can change the performance of the team in the Champions League game. This action would have been more preferable in the beginning of the season , this can be distraction that can affect the team. In a case like this timing is important and considering how far the team has gone.

After all it is difficult to tell or even make some educated guesses as to why this all happened. Even if there was an argument and they agreed to not further talk about it, that could also happen. Although Nagelsmann said he didn't know anything and it went live on the news before he was informed. Nobody here can confirm that, but the whole story is tough anyway. I am a big soccer fan and have seen many coaches being sacked of course, but this is one that leaves me puzzled. This is not even comparable to Chelsea or other clubs where we would expect everyday that the coach has to leave. There are several clubs where I thought it is game over for the coach, but not for Nagelsmann.

How possibility with Julian Nagelsmann less tactic and not effective for Bayern Munich manager but in other side he was success have 100% winning record in Champion League? on group stage have Inter Milan and Barcelona but Julian Nagelsmann success won between home or away matches.

Have inconsistent performance in domestic league after Bayern Munich position taken by Dortmund and right now left 2 points, but still not close yet with Julian Nagelsmann bring Bayern for winning Bundesliga tittle, I am waiting with Thomas Tuchel success or not extended 100% winning record for Bayern Munich in Champion League. I think have choose quick decision for sacking Julian Nagelsmann from Bayern Munich's manager position.
I think there were some problems going on behind the scenes between Nagelsmann and Bayern Munich management because Bayern Munich suddenly took a stance to fire Nagelsmann where his performance with Bayern Munich was quite good in the previous season.

In the world of football, there are always surprising decisions and also the pressure that must be achieved by the coach to make the team stronger in Europe and in the domestic league.  for nagelsmann hopefully he can get another job soon because i like his coaching style.

It is not the first time that Bayern Munich fires a coach even though they were performing quite well. Two examples that come to my mind was Magath who won the Bundesliga title and the DFb Pokal two times in a row and yet had to go and I think with Carlo Ancelotti it was a similar case. But there has been some trouble behind the scenes I think with the goalie coach Tapalovic who is a friend of Manuel Neuer and Nagelsmann didn't like him and actually got rid of him. I don't know if that has anything to do with this decision now, but there have been some things going on that led to different opinions.
1043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 24, 2023, 09:29:18 PM
The Barcelona team has been able to produce one of the best performances in La Liga at the moment. The players of the team are now very experienced. The only credit for which is for team coach Xavi. The performance of the team is likely to win this year's La Liga title.
Barcelona has a big chance of getting the La Liga title this season because Barcelona has successfully closed the gap with its eternal rival Real Madrid by as many as twelve points which is a very difficult thing for Real Madrid to chase even though it is still possible. And Barcelona also has the chance to win the Copa Del Rey trophy this season if they successfully beat Real Madrid at Camp Nou in the second leg because on aggregate Barcelona have also won one goal over Real Madrid in the first leg.
It's true that Barcelona this season is so strong for two competitions in Spain and again the opponent they have to beat is Real Madrid, who is their eternal rival. At the moment Barcelona is fully motivated to secure these two titles and for Los Blancos it looks like they have to give up the La Liga title, but for the Copa del Rey title I think Real Madrid still has a chance even though the difference in aggregate points is so small.

The chance in the Copa del Rey is still there and Real Madrid has proven a couple of times that they can win away games as well. But with the last clasico ending in favor of Barcelona, I would tend towards Barcelona being quite a big favorite here. Especially as their defense works perfectly at the moment and Real Madrid has to attack while Barcelona can be patient. This strategic aspect is probably playing more into the hands of Barcelona that in Real Madrid's.
1044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: March 24, 2023, 08:56:31 PM
It's going to be a very interesting evening. France smashed the Netherlands in the first half. The Netherlands was shocked. Griezmann scored a very early goal. While Holland was still in shock, Upamecano scored, the difference was two. It's over for the Netherlands after Mbappe made the score 3-0 in the 21st minute. After this time, they will play to avoid more difference. Koeman pulled out Kenneth Taylor and took Weghorst, but it's too late. When they played with the young players, they screwed up badly. The Netherlands will want to forget this match as soon as possible.

This is rough as I thought this is one of the more interesting games and the Netherlands haven't played that bad recently. The tournament in Qatar was not spectacular, but it was still alright and doesn't justify this result after 21 minutes. The Netherlands even have more ball possession but the French converted three out of four shots on target into goals. Not much more they can ask for after that short period of time into the game.

Still I think Greece won't be strong enough to take away the second rank from the Netherlands. That would probably only be possible if out of luck they can tie one or two games against the two favorites.

Yes but now some of the details come to light. They thought that Real Madrid could be quicker than Bayern Munich if they plan to sack Ancelotti. Now they had to play it safe and it was the break for the national teams until the first Bundesliga game starts on April 1st again. Although this makes some sense, I still think that decision was extremely harsh and not justified, but that is just my opinion. As was stated now Nagelsmann takes home around 20 million Euro. That's the one thing he isn't sad about I guess! Cheesy
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 23, 2023, 10:26:49 PM
Erling Haaland needs to rest because he has contributed fully in every game and often brings victory to Manchester City. Liverpool shouldn't be difficult because Manchester City's strength already looks like it will be easy to beat them. At the very least, there are still a few days to prepare for Manchester City, and perhaps Erling Haaland will play some minutes.
If Erling Haaland is going to rest, then it shouldn't be against Liverpool, to be honest I think Liverpool is a dangerous club, now that everyone think they are not in form but they are still surprising people, one of the greatest mistake Manchester city will make is underestimating Liverpool, I don't really know why you think Liverpool won't be difficult for Manchester city to win, i dont really believe it will be a easy win for Manchester city, it will be a very tough match between Manchester city and Liverpool.

If you want a player like Haaland in the best shape possible for the Champions League games, I would let him play another game before that if he is healthy. There is one more game against Southampton before they are going to be up against Bayern Munich, but I still think that a Haaland who is used to going the full distance again is better than a Haaland who plays his first game in such a tough match after an injury only because you wanted to give him a break. Now if he is injured, there is no way around giving him a break, but I wouldn't exaggerate breaks for strategic reasons.

For everyone who hasn't seen it yet there are big news in Germany regarding Bayern Munich. Nagelsmann got sacked.

This is wild, but that's probably how the business goes although I wonder whether someone knows the specific reasons? It is now said that they are signing Tuchel, but when one aspect is the personality of Nagelsmann, I would say that Tuchel is no different, but probably even more complicated than Nagelsmann.

I read some news where there was the idea that Nagelsmann was considering Bayern as a preliminary stop on his way to the Premier League, but still he has I think a 5 years contract. That's a huge contract and what do they have to pay him as compensation? Perhaps this isn't even a bad situation for Nagelsmann financially.

I don't think Bayern Munich would be very unhappy if they lose the Bundesliga title to Dortmund this season. It isn't their priority right now.

Their priority is obviously the Champions League title. Because it is a much more prestigious title above all else. Besides Bayern Munich have been dominating the Bundesliga for ten seasons in a row. I don't think they would be affected very badly by not winning this time. However the der Klassiker in Allianz Arena is still in favour of Bayern Munich on paper. Bayern Munich have been very superior to Dortmund in the head-to-head matches so far already. I know how they lost to Leverkusen but I still see them one step ahead of Dortmund home.
Bayern Munich are trying to pick the Champions League title obviously as they frequently fail to grab it lately although they are one of the favorite teams each season if not the best in papers. Meanwhile, I doubt Bayern will let Bundesliga title fly away to their rival Dortmund. Bayern might sacrifice a game / a battle but not the title / the war. They will keep pushing in every side until they grab one of the available titles. That's the spirit of Bayern that I am aware of.

Bayern is not just in it for the single Bundesliga title, but also for the record they already own and also want to extend! For the Bundesliga it would be great to finally see a different champion, but Bayern wants to strengthen their domination and send a signal to the rest that nobody can ultimately beat them. I expect them to play at their best against Dortmund in the next game and I know that it is more likely for Dortmund to fall apart in that game than it is for Bayern. It happened that way quite often.
1050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 22, 2023, 10:23:43 PM
It's difficult for them though as I think they still lack some more experienced players to stay up there. Manchester United has a couple of big names within their lines and the other teams, there is no need to speak about them. But Newcastle still has a lot of guys that I haven't really heard of before they either joined Newcastle or had some great success early on during this season. They are still up against Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal. It is a hard program for them to still pass until one could conclude that they are a newcomer to the CL.
Many people still say it is difficult, but Newcastle has proved himself better this season with 12 wins, 11 draws and 3 defeats in 26 matches. They have lost the least after Arsenal so if you don't believe Newcastle can win against Manchester United then consider a draw.

Eddie Howe has a tough job in St. James' Park, of course. Manchester United also expects 3 points, but the probability of winning for Newcastle is somehow better than Manchester United as an away team. At least that's how it seems, but I'm inclined to think of a draw.

You are right that they are not losing a lot of games, but that's still not necessarily enough to qualify for the Champions League.

It is no coincidence that they do have the best defense with only 19 goals conceded, but they also have the weakest offense of the first 8 teams. Usually the number of wins is more decisive as you can see at the example of Manchester United who have a much worse goal difference, but are still in front. It will be a close game between them.
1051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 22, 2023, 06:25:46 PM
Newcastle has a great chance of occupying the top four by winning at least 1 match out of the 2 postponed matches.
The distance of 2 points from Tottenham must be used to trigger more motivation so that their mission this season is actually achieved. I was surprised, of course because Newcastle didn't really expect to be in the top four compared to Chelsea or Liverpool at the start of the season.

Now the expectations are very good, so Newcastle must seize the moment to move Tottenham from the top 4. Newcastle have 12 match left compared to Tottenham's 10 so I think Newcastle's chances are good so far.
Newcastle HAS TO win those games, they have spent so much money and they want to be in UCL so that they could get even more players.

They have a super rich owner now and that owner is spending money left and right to make the team better and last year before the take over this team was about the relegate, now they are fighting for a top four, and in order to keep this momentum going they need to finish the league in top four, and then during the summer they will pay some big names to get there as well, due to UCL fact they could end up convincing good players to play for them as well. When you pay someone 20-30 million a year, it's not hard to convince them but UCL would be added bonus.

1052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 22, 2023, 05:42:17 PM
Bayern Munich lost many points this season snd it's very clear that the actual situation is not because of the other teams strength, Bayern team is remind me of real Madrid strong in UCL but very weake in la Liga, but Bayern still have enough time to recover and start winning
There was only 1 point gap to the dortmund as of now. I think that you shall aware of the difference between bayern and real madrid. madrid is much more inconsistent compared with bayern, bayern may able to surpass dortmund again anytime while real madrid has been losing a chance to compete with barcelona to get la liga until the end of season caused by the bad result against barcelona in the el classico that already happened last days.

Bayern is having a very strict competition against dortmund as the most potential competitor to take bundesliga this season. It's a non sense thing to compare real madrid and bayern while either of clubs bayern and dortmund were playing at their own league.

I meant if it's not apple to apple. It must be apple to orange.

That's true that Dortmund is the finest team in the league and Bayern Munich is the second team but in fact, these two teams are very close together and Dortmund is leading by only one point and if they lose even one game Bayern Munich can easily take back the place they had, so I think the place of these two teams will change a lot during this season which can make it hard to predict which team can take the title.

Bayern is by far the best team if you when you compare players individually, but they have guys like Gnabry and Sane who all too often don't put in the effort that is required to stay at the top. But they can take three guys off and bring three new guys on without a loss in quality. No other team is able to do that. Dortmund failed hard against Chelsea when Adeyemi got injured and Brandt as well during the game. It's game over for them if that happens against strong teams. Now I wonder whether Bayern is nervous despite all their experience. They haven't had such a situation in quite some time.

1054  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is there so much resistance for Bitcoin reaching $25,000 on: March 17, 2023, 01:09:55 PM
With price breaching $25K in the past hour, starting to think this topic should be locked by end of day if price closes above this price.

It was a good topic while it lasted, many different opinions, but otherwise won't serve much purpose with price above $25K...

Btc has got enough resistance at/near $25K so I don't think it will be easy for btc to hold that area for longer. It needs sharp volume to break it and climb over $28500 to go near $30k. It does not have any good resistance area between $25800 and $29000 but it should break $25k again as it has created an inverse triangle flag and it looks like the big move is near and it will be on any side of the coin.

Personally I don't think it needs high volume to get to $30K, it just seems more likely that a break-out to there would be based on high volume. Likewise with getting above $25K today, the volume isn't particularly high it's about average. The difference is there was high volume twice before around $25K that satisfied sellers, and now there are a lot less of them, so not as much volume is needed.

When it comes to staying above $25K then I imagine higher volume will be needed if price returns there, as otherwise bears will try push price below again.

It had been many times been tried out to be break out but still failed up because of too much selling pressure or simply those selling points is really that strong on that area.

At least for now it seems like the selling pressure has passed. This is why I don't believe in triple tops as each time price returns to resistance it weakens it. I imagine many were expecting price to get rejected again today, but yesterday closed above $25K for the first time since June, so while the week still hasn't closed above this level for further confirmation, it does seem like the resistance is finally breaking.

There have been a lot of bears for quite some time trying to profit from short positions, but the market has once more shown how brutally it can fight back. A lot of short speculators have been squeezed out just a short while ago and if you now look at the charts you must have quite some balls to open more short positions or, put differently, short positions of significant sizes. Anyone could open a small short position as a gamble, but what happened a couple of days ago was a real squeeze. Even if I had the money for a large short bet, I wouldn't sleep well these days as it doesn't look like there could be any reason on the horizon for Bitcoin to crash again.
1055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 17, 2023, 01:01:57 PM

Maybe no one thought that Real Madrid would face Chelsea again in the quarter-finals, considering that the two met in the same round last season. Then there is Benfica who will play against Inter, it seems this is the first time for the two teams to meet in a UCL match. Then, there was Manchester City against Bayern Munich, both of which met in the UCL group phase of the 13/14 season. Then there was the last Milan against Napoli, the two also met for the first time in the UCL match and this was a match for the Italian club in the quarter final round.

If we look at the semifinal draw, I think there are several possibilities that we will see Napoli vs Benfica and Real Madrid vs Manchester City in the semifinals later.

I would not want to pick a favorite out of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Manchester City, but for all of them they couldn't have picked a harder route to the final. For Bayern, they would have to beat Manchester City and then probably Real Madrid. It can't get harder than that. But it also couldn't get any harder for Manchester City and Real Madrid either.

The allegedly weaker teams play against each other with Benfica Lissabon against Inter and Napoli against Milan. I think Napoli is a big favorite here and I would also say that Benfica is not to be underestimated either. They have been very solid so far and play some dangerous offensive soccer.
1056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 17, 2023, 10:11:37 AM
I think Barcelona will win both of those games, and even though el classico is always different in a sense, it will not be too shocking this year. Barcelona is not in europa anymore whereas Real is still in UCL and that is the only reason. Have you seen how tired the players were by the end of the liverpool game?

Benzema basically hopping, even Vinicious, who is a fast player with a big lung, ended up not running  after the ball for the last minutes. Sure that could be because they knew they won, but they looked gassed a lot. I think this type of schedule will make them more and more tired, so Barcelona players will be more rested and be easily winning the game.
Barcelona have won 3 of their last 5 matches against Real Madrid in El Clasico since last season until this season. This time Barcelona is also very likely to win their 4th El Clasico at Camp Nou because their performance is good. Then is it certain, of course not because I think El Clasico is very difficult to predict especially this season.

Barcelona's strong defense will make Real Madrid look for a solution, but Barcelona are not only good in defense but they are also sharp in strikers. Lewandowski is very dangerous, as well as Raphinha who is getting used to scoring goals. Pedri's return will certainly bring good hope for a better game, but I doubt he can appear in El Clasico this time.

I disagree. Even though it is a game in Camp Nou for Real Madrid, they have now shown a very solid performance against Liverpool and demonstrated how good they are at exercising control over the game. Barcelona has the advantage that Real Madrid can't afford to lose and has to be aggressive, but that doesn't mean Barcelona can just wait and see. Real's offense is able to score anytime.

When you mention sharp strikers on Barcelona's side, I am not sure whether they are in top shape right now. Lewandowski had a great start but slowed down a lot in overall scoring. If I had to make a guess I think that game is going to end in a tie. Real Madrid is too strong to lose it and in Copa del Rey they could have also won the game. But Barcelona is not so dominant that I wouid say they are likely to beat Real. It's going to be a great fight.

real madrid in the champions league is not the same as real madrid in the league and for this reason that every time we are playing against barcelona we are losing, you can see the odds at the bookmakers:

Barcelona = @2.21
Real Madrid = @3.30

So you have to ask yourself why the bookmakers are giving this advantage odd to barcelona and not to real madrid who won the champions league match? And you'll find out that the reason is quite simple: in La Liga, Real Madrid hasn't performed well this season, Benzema has been injured then gets better and then comes back injured, and Real Madrid's defense is worse than Barcelona's, while barcelona manage to play well in la liga, they have good attack and defense, not to mention that they have a young team. I particularly still don't know if I'll bet on this game

Real Valladolid - Athletic Bilbao

Real Valladolid comes to this game with mixed results in the last 5 games, being that they managed to have 1 victory, 2 defeats and 2 draws, in 25 games they only managed to score 19 goals, but conceded 35 goals, they have serious problems in the attack. on the other hand we have Athletic Bilbao who in the last 5 games managed only 1 victory, suffered 3 defeats and had 1 draw, they also have not been performing well this season, but they are better than their opponent when compared to the number of goals in the 25 games. i think this is a very difficult game to predict the result

I don't know and I can't recall, but have you ever seen a bookmaker giving the better odds to an away team that plays against the first in the table? Of course they give the advantage to Barceona. Statistics tell them to. I also didn't say that Real Madrid is winning this one. My guess still is a tie.

There is also some other aspect I would like to raise. When you say this is a La Liga game and not the Champions League, that is true obviously. But this is not just any La Liga game. It is the clasico that this year will decide whether Barcelona becomes an early La Liga winner this season. There is a lot to be played for. If Real Madrid loses, it is over. So saying this is just a normal La Liga game and Real Madrid will play against Barcelona as they played against Mallorca, that is just not true. Keep in mind that Barcelona lost only two games this season and there was only a single game in La Liga where they conceded 3 goals, and guess against whom: Real Madrid.

So it's a bit difficult to say Arsenal were ultimately thwarted by the mediocare team, but that's the end of the story of Arsenal's journey in the Europa League this season. Only Lol, people are even too sure that Arsenal advanced to the final this season.

I've said it was a difficult game for Arsenal because I believe Sporting will do everything to score goals. Granit Xhaka's goals were good, but Pedro Goncalves's was absolutely the best all season. Of course it was disappointing home match for Arsenal, tragic after being favorites this season to reach the final and win the Europa League. So now Arsenal only have to focus on maintaining their points advantage in the Premier League by playing well and avoiding defeat. The odds are good, but I think they will definitely be affected by the failure of the Europa League.

I completely agree with you up to that point where Arsenal scored an early goal in the 19th minute. To be honest I thought that that goal is the opener to the next round in the Europa League because the set up was perfect for Arsenal. Take the lead in their home stadium, concentrate on the defense and wait for their chances with fast counter attacks and their strong offense with the people in the stadium in the back.

But Sporting stayed strong enough and was patiently waiting for their chance. A second goal would have been the end for them, but this way they could keep believing in themselves and then in overtime they knew that both is fine, either to score a goal or to take it to the penalties. A great achievement for Sporting that deserves respect.

Bayern Munich and Dortmund are likely to pull away from the others for the league title race.

It isn't surprising at all of course. In fact, Leipzig could have been more competitive than this in addition to them. But Leipzig got so many draws that caused them be a little behind those two teams. Dortmund have what is needed for the championship now. They have been in a great shape in the Bundesliga for a long time. That draw against Schalke wasn't good of course. Maybe it was a derby game but still Dortmund should have been able to get a win there. This helped Bayern Munich a little but still there is only a two-point gap between.

The next game between Bayern Munich and Dortmund is going to be in Allianz Arena which is quite a problem for Dortmund. It is very important for the title race and if Bayern Munich win then I think that it is over for Dortmund.

I am not so sure about Dortmund though. Firstly, they are going to play against Bayern in the game after the next one. And they are also too inconsistent and lose a game when a week before they played like a future Champions League winner. I really don't understand what can change their minds over the course of a week such that you can't even recognize it is the same team that won like a grand champion the week before.

For Bayern the next two games are key. If they can win against Leverkusen and then beat Dortmund in their home game, I have serious doubts that anyone could still stop them. The games still have to be played and nothing is over yet, but those full six points with than eight games left and the better goal statistics is probably the 11th title in a row for them.

Has the game between Manchester City and West Ham been rescheduled? If that is the case, what is the reason for that? I also can't find it on sportsbetting websites.

I think that Arsenal has a little advantage that they have their game before Manchester City has theirs. Of course if you lose it you give an extra reason for motivation to Man City, but if you win it you can raise the pressure for Man City as well. If you lose it, there is still the chance Man City loses, too. But from Man City's perspective I think it is tougher when Arsenal already won and they can only close the gap to what it used to be before the game.

I also noticed that the game between Brighton and Manchester United is more interesting than you would think at first glance. Brighton is 8 points behind, but also has 1 games less. If they win that game, they could actually get very close if they also win the catch-up game.
