I am in the position to do it. I am too busy to do it.
As a silver dealer, what is the difficulty in doing so for you? How do you mean, "too busy"? Bitcoin to fiat to Ag conversion friction? Or finding supply?

it is always interesting reading these posts
at the very least it's nice reflection and personally I know I can't get enough lessons from my experiences

Fairly new to bitfinex but a long time lurker ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) That's madness, it implies at least a 25 times gain in bitcoin price per year. I don't see the math?? current lending rates are around .2%/day .2%*365days=73%/year that's less than a double per year to profit

Does Bitcoin ever even have to try? What a wonderful construct.

I will buy a lambo when I can get one for < 5 btc.
edit: forget that, I'd actually like something that doesn't run on fossil fuels. Are there any green super cars?
![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.thecarconnection.com%2Fmed%2Fmclaren-p1-by-the-numbers_100421053_m.jpg&t=664&c=Tu1wzUe5kXycNA) McLaren P1 plug-in hybrid. http://cars.mclaren.com/p1.htmlSorry to be a killjoy but for the time being fuck the Lambos! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Please everyone prepare a small amount of your stash (doesn't have to be anything more than one twentieth perhaps?) in a wallet that is as easy for you to use and as portable as possible. Then buy small stuff! A hamburger, a Zynga APP, a sex toy... doesn't matter what just do it! If you want the growth to continue then merchants have got to report sales or it won't work in the long term. Boring I know, but for most the Lambos will come a bit later! ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) The lambo was a PR stunt for btc. I buy just about everything i can for life using btc. But the media could care less about my socks! Goat just shares in the Vision ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) thank you for buying the lambo, I sure as hell didn't want one.

Hi, How willl the scheduled down time of Bitstamp affect order execution of Bitfinex? Thx ![Kiss](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/kiss.gif) oh, that's why no orders are executed on bfx? Shouldn't we be able to trade bfx-only? The order book isn't even loading. I do recall Raphy saying he ordered more hardware, though I doubt that's being laid out right now The orderbook isn't loading. Hasn't been for days now. Is this a server performance issue. Is there something I can do. I'd really like to be able to see the order book. strange, I've been checking the platform in the last hours and all seems good to me. Is somebody else having the same problem? Can you access it from another computer? Please let me know. Thanks a lot and have a good day Giancarlo Bitfinex Team Orderbook levels 1 and 2 both appearing normally for me. maybe worth a shot to try clearing your cache/check noscript?

Hey we've all been there, some just learn faster than others. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Don't let the experienced traders and desperate bears on this forum fool you, they want you to sell so they can make a profit. If you think you can beat them at their own game, sure go ahead and try to sell high and buy low. But most of you will get played by them in the end. If you don't want that, buy and hold is the right thing for you. Everyone who has done their research knows that bitcoin is not even near its top yet. There is a significant amount of risk involved, but the upside risk still far outweighs the downside risk at this point. It's only time to sell (some) when the mass media and 'famous' economists start to recommend people to buy bitcoins, and we're still very far away from that. Correct.

Perfect, I might move to NY for like a month this summer
lol... I think it might be too early to do that. Don't forget that some of our most powerful enemies (bankers) are based in NY. and some of our most powerful friends are there too. Shrem with Bitinstant for example Anyways, my move would be unrelated and more for just pleasure while I'm off for school in the summer. just visited the city for the first time a few days ago for New Years and it was wondeful

Well March 25th and May 5th are interesting transits for Bitcoin (transiting Pluto conjunct natal Sun); if we some some serious developments around those dates, I'll pay much more attention to astrology and cryptocurrencies. I've had a look at the transits over the past couple of years and couldn't see any obvious connections between transits and price in all honesty; transiting Pluto conjunct natal Sun is about as full on a transit as is possible, so I'll be lurking on this thread keeping an eye out until March.
Didn't read much else after this, but perhaps it's not all about price (which is simply a reflection of the current market) but more the various developments and lessons bitcoin has to live through in order to realize itself fully. These events/transits will not be immediately correlable in price.

And up up and away it goes! BTCeh? Up n away it went....it coming back down now, following China's lead as usual, with Stochastic indicators strongly suggesting that we may see a lower low than the 718 from earlier this evening. Whatever turns out, your comment was poorly timed. You must be new here, ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FF8eLo2P.png&t=664&c=ETIDYBObWfgr0g) for the short time we have to have a correction, but if we are talking Q1 2014, 1000+ is still strongly possible. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) if not inevitable

I don't get why all these savvy "Wall Street" investors are waiting until *after* the next round of pointless senate hearings to invest. If they're so interested in the future of bitcoin (as many people here seem to believe), then why not start investing now BEFORE the prices begin to skyrocket. Isn't that kind of the point of investing?
They're thoughtleading, expecting prey to do what they do, or at least, what they say they will do. How else do you think Wall Streeters will find buyers to dump on?

trading illiquid markets is very much a zero-sum game, as Giancarlo mentioned.
Trading any currency or commodity, regardless of how liquid or illiquid it is, is a zero-sum game. USD, EUR, Oil, Gold, Silver, whatever. It is all a zero sum game. but the ones who take commission/interest get a guaranteed positive sum ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Merry christmas, Raphael, Giancarlo and the whole BitFinex team! Thank you for your platform, great support and constant enhancements!
See you next year, with much and many business! :-)

Same wishes from me too! Merry Christmas to all! And liteguy don't worry, you can work with me later if you really want to get into charity work ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

wouldn't it be fairer and and make more sense, to just link bfnx to btce?
this was discussed a lot in the past. It would totally make sense, but Bitfinex wants to operate in a clear legal framework, and they need a real collaboration with such a partner; as far as I understood this basically rules out BTC-e (or similarly bitcoin china or other "interesting" possibilities) more people just need to start trading at BFX

I think it's peculiar that bitcoin maxed out at about the price of an ounce, and now hovering right around half an ounce. I wonder if it's just a coincidence. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) probably it's because of the same idea of a broken clock being right twice a day, etc.
