1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: investing in meme coins on: January 06, 2022, 06:39:16 AM
"Not." That's true. Why? Meme = joke
Would you invest in a joke?  Grin Dogecoin might have been successful at making a joke coin and letting it last long but that doesn't mean every memecoin will have the same future as it did. As an investor, I'd rather put all my money in Dogecoin rather than shift with something new that is hyped by mostly early buyers that needs to sell their token because they are at loss if done now.
Another reason is something to back it up. What can they offer in case something go sideways? None. It just relies on the hype.
1362  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: We are looking for Bitcoin Angel Investors on: January 06, 2022, 04:37:51 AM
I don't get it. You need investors but you don't have access with investors funds.  Huh What will you do? Is this suppose to be an offer of a trading signal that gone wrong with details of the offer?
Doubling the money is a proposal that is too good to be true. You will have a hard time looking for investors at that kind of scheme.
It's too obvious and if you have the tool to double the money why would you share it if you can do it yourself? Next please.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 06, 2022, 02:43:30 AM
Remember Kobe, dude had one big injury and then he couldn't recover and got injured again and that was basically it for him.

They have different gameplay. Kobe is more of attacking the rim while Klay Thompson is just focusing on 3 points. The chances of getting injured might be less. If Klay will now return, I'm thinking he will have an average of 30 minutes per game in the first month. He is already in rehabilitation for a long and can now play smoothly once got back in action. They didn't rush Klay even he is cleared to play already when the current season started.

We can't compare KT's situation to Kobe, in the first place, KT is still young while Kobe was not young anymore when he was injured. Maybe we can compare him to Paul George and we saw how good the development of Paul George after a devastating injury.
Or, Kevin Durant.
That was the closest even in time of rest and it was an Achilles injury for Durant which is the worst for a player. But yet, we are watching him now and even aiming for an MVP.
They gave all the time for Klay so that last year won't happen again where the injury went back during warm up. I think now they are sure about the health of him both physically and mentally.
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too much of new crypto projects? on: January 05, 2022, 05:24:01 PM
Let them create their projects and the people will decide what's good or not. It's not scary at all. What if one of them is holding the future of number 1 altcoin? It's a good thing too as they are spending money or cryptocurrencies that would make a healthy market.
What scares me is how come there are still projects that just repeats the others from a long time ago. It's just like resurrecting the dead that didn't work at all. It must always be something new and unique to click with new types of investors.
1365  Economy / Speculation / Re: The good moves of Bitcoin. on: January 05, 2022, 01:36:05 PM
In my opinion, Bitcoin price movement is still down in early 2022 trading, where bitcoin is again touching the current $46,000 level. Although bitcoin had experienced a small recovery around the level of $47,961 the last four days or to be precise entering the year 2022. Therefore, I think the correction that occurs in the price of bitcoin will at least continue until the end of January before rising again to the level of $55k.
Investors are not ready yet. Selling for the purpose of spending in the holidays and now they are just gaining back all that money.
I don't think this January will be a good month, I'd rather not expect too much. But the very least I want to look forward to is February. Let them recover first and soon all their savings will be back to Bitcoin.
The other thing I consider is if something bad occurs in the altcoin industry. That could make them switch back to the trusted coin which is none other than Bitcoin.
1366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 05, 2022, 11:06:53 AM
I mean I get he is really good on defense but I think his bark is bigger than his bite.  As far as center or power forward I think there are just too many other players in the West who are better than him.  When steph isn't on the court draymond looks lost.
Yes he might bark a lot but this is All-Star and it's better to have a bit of a twist than just full of offensive players having their way dunking and shooting.
A defensive player having his moments showing his skills is also entertaining. Put Jrue Holiday, Gobert, and Draymond, that will be fun.  Grin

Lakers won again! Again, Dwight Howard using the bully game to have the upper hand. 14 points, 14 rebounds while Lebron performing like his younger days. 36 minutes, 31 points. Damn, how I wish I have the same game at that age. Just that 36 minutes playing time is great for me.
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 04, 2022, 06:15:57 PM
NBA All Star is near and the first voting updates will be revealed January 6. Submit your votes. Time for our stars to have their share of fun and showcase sportsmanship.

I may have Steph Curry for GSW but I am thinking about voting Draymond Green at the frontcourt. When it comes to defense, he can surely give us an entertaining game especially with how competition has changed after they changed the format of it. KD for the East, no doubt about that and Giannis.
1368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: meta is the future ???? on: January 04, 2022, 12:16:05 PM
It's the next big thing but let's not go far as telling it was the future. Not yet.
It changed the gaming and art industry but some points may need to be considered before buying such coins. Same as other altcoins, there's a research needed before buying it. You cannot just purchase blindly because it was hyped in social media. That will prevent you from being a victim of another scam.
Next, the ways on how you will keep it. You don't want to be just piling it in one wallet that is not even theirs. Always look for privacy and if available their own software just like how Bitcoin is being kept.
1369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TX Cost , fees and gas on: January 04, 2022, 10:56:01 AM
Ethereum - $5 average. Wallet to Wallet. What's hurting is the ERC20 transactions which is difficult to swallow. $20-$25 fees for every transaction.
And, if you are just sending a $5 worth then better forget about it. I have a lot of tokens stuck in different wallet and I cannot even send them back to my main account anymore.
In Bitcoin, I don't have a problem. It's cheaper now than months ago when the price was surging. You just need to wait for the correction if you are aiming for the right price and as long as it's from wallet to wallet and not from an exchange to a wallet. Because those fees from exchange are way different using base amount.
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 04, 2022, 09:38:47 AM
And just like that, the Warriors (115) have defeated the Heat (108).

This is exactly why the Warriors is on a different scale and level compared to the other teams, except their star players this team is no doubt consisted of very talented key players like Wiggins, Payton, Porter, especially the star of the night Jordan Poole who made an impressive 32 points (12/17 FG). While Curry isn't so exhausted because Steve Kerr is always putting him on bench to avoid injuries, like on the 4th quarter, Curry only stepped on with just a minute left to maintain the gap.
As to the Heats, Herro and Lowry really deserves some credits for playing 42 minutes and 39 minutes respectively with almost no rest in the whole game.

I'm pretty excited for the next week's game, it's the Warriors vs. the Bulls.
Exactly. That is their strength. In numbers. They don't rely on Steph too much and their way of thinking is they can also be like Steph anytime. Jordan Poole to be precise is moving, shooting, and even the attack to the paint is almost like Steph. They look up on him, but at the same time they want to contribute as much as they can for the win. Wiggins also being in a consistent mode will help them to be on lead even at the first half. The two first 3 pointers came from him.
I wish it was not that bad though with Jimmy Butler after rolling his ankle. No news yet about it.

1371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What would you do in this situation? on: January 03, 2022, 04:37:10 PM
First, welcome to the forum.
Oh yeah, and you're absolutely flat broke and out of work and are wondering about learning to day trade bitcoin for a living.
You are a coder, that makes me doubt with how you cannot be able to make a living when most of the jobs now are focused in computer. It just makes me wonder.
If you think you don't have the right amount to start everything then why jump the gun? If I am on that situation, I think I am going at saving more money first. Trading is not a joke and even if you have the bot that you want to create, it doesn't mean it will be perfect. There will be trial and errors that may ruin the plan and your capital.
1372  Economy / Economics / Re: The link between Bitcoin and the economy on: January 03, 2022, 02:19:07 PM
When we discussed the topic of Bitcoin and its decentralized nature and how it relates to the economy of the world, I lot of people seem to be confused about the place of Bitcoin in the economy.
First, we need to understand the nature of Bitcoin and also its legal tendency.
Bitcoin is a digital currency that is not controlled by any one individual or government that is why it is referred to as decentralized currency, secondly, Bitcoin is an asset just like gold that the reason most people adopt it for its economic benefits.

These are supposed to be the real meaning of bitcoin but eventually, as the government intervenes on its regulation, it will become controllable as we cannot enjoy bitcoin without a 3rd party since not everyone is accepting bitcoin, in the end, most of us will still convert our bitcoin into fiat and that's where regulation intervenes through their KYC requirement and AML Law.
And so it becomes an asset because of that intervention.
We can buy it at ease but they will stop us when we want it out/withdrawal. Local and online merchants having doubts to use it because of the regulation. How much price they will have to pay after accepting Bitcoin as an option for payment or in short as a currency? Yes, customers will have the privilege to use it and be like a normal currency but what about those merchants who will need new supplies for their store? I doubt after them there will be big businesses that will do the same accepting Bitcoin as payment. It will all be in fiat or thru bank account.
I already exempted the volatility issues here.
1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about the new alts? on: January 03, 2022, 12:43:56 PM
i think metaverse tokens will be on the trend for this whole year, and if so then demand will increase & time to go for it. Holding sand and mina could be an good opportunities for long term achievement but cdt it doesn’t sounds to has potential like others two. it dumped hard three years ago and since then still fail to recovery .well its wise idea to focus on metaverse tokens & grab it as much you can afford

Metaverse, GameFi, Web 3.0 projects are big trends that will continue in 2022,
we will see mass adoption of crypto in the future as these technologies continue to evolve
And I think Solana will be good for 2022 but Ethereum is my favorite coin So I am expecting a new ATH  for Eth.

I am following both Web 3.0 and Metaverse right now but haven't finished reading about GameFi just yet that was posted by OkEx academy article.
I think everything that will have a connection in the gaming industry will possibly be gaining a lot ever since the pandemic hit. Making money out of the pleasure of playing is something most kids before (now adults) are dreaming about and it's being offered now. I am part of those era and I would love to be grinding my ass to claim what is being offered with little investment to be offered.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 03, 2022, 10:13:48 AM
Miami Heat lost at the last position to Sacramento Kings, while missing 11 players. They fought hard considering that much of a missing players and the rookie Omer Yurtseven had a big night with 22 points 16 rebounds including 6 offensive reb. But Sacramento held on at the last minute. Thus, Miami is 23-14, .622. I really wonder where will they be in the playoffs and how far can they go.
They fought well considering how many players are missing in their roster. Butler, Herro, and Lowry paved the way but it's just not enough to defeat the speed and firepower of the Sacramento Kings. Omer Yurtseven. He performed good tonight and was filling the hole that Bam Adebayo left. 4th consecutive double digits in both points and rebounds while 8th for rebounds only. I can tell the future is bright for him if he keep this up and a lot of room for improvement for the Turkish player. Gain experience and respect from the officials because there's a lot of calls that was missed.
1375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do we have trading chatroom exclusive for bitcointalk traders? on: January 02, 2022, 07:15:42 PM
It looks like there is none from all the post above which I am happy with.
I don't like telegram groups although they say it will be the fastest way to communicate with other people. They are always prone to scammers just hunting in the shadows waiting for the right victim. I had lots of experiences with that and I tend to just make fun of those scammers pretending to be someone like admins or support team.
Here, you will know trusted members explaining better without even the need of paying up.
1376  Economy / Speculation / Re: New year new speculation on: January 02, 2022, 02:10:24 PM
Bitcoin.
I always believe that if it's value grows then so does the altcoin. I am not expecting too much with my altcoin portfolio to grow but if a sudden spike in Bitcoin price would come then there's a chance it will all be dragged by the wave that it will produce.
Just back to ATH this January is enough then let's see what else could happen in the next few months of this year.
1377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 02, 2022, 12:49:13 PM
Yeah, it was really Iggy who win the game for the Warriors with that dagger 3 at the end and with Rudy Gobert to boot as his defender. Otto Porter did great too and see is GP, Wiggins and Poole. So it's a complete game by the Warriors lead by Steph Curry. When they took the lead I said that Jazz will need to have a big comeback to win the game and they did. However, in the last 4 minutes it seems that they run out of steam already and let the Warrior score easy points in the paint uncontested.
Curry was heavily defended by Royce O'neal, those shots that he made was all contested pretty good but it's just Steph Curry being himself. He nailed all those threes even in a bad position and even tried a long deuce that we haven't seen much from him. He should do that kind of heating up more frequently before taking the threes because it puts him in rhythm.
And he broke another record. It was his own.
Quote
Curry scored a three-pointer for the 158th successive game, breaking his previous record of 157 which had stood since November 2016.
https://www.bbc.com/sport/basketball/59851107
So Jordan Poole is back 17 minutes, 10 points. Not bad for a come back after a long rest due to Covid illness.
1378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stick to altcoins or switch to Bitcoin or stablecoins? on: January 02, 2022, 10:13:44 AM
Bitcoin definitely if you are looking for long term investment. Altcoins if you want to play with the market and do short term investments. Pull the profits as fast as you can then buy back at times like this one.
Don't stick with stablecoins there is absolutely no profits on that. Better just hold the paper money than holding a risky stablecoin.
If you are looking for an altcoin to hold though, it will be difficult to precisely identify one that has a future. You could go for exchange coins like BNB but there is no assurance it could go the way you want it.
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best crypto sportsbook for 2021 on: January 02, 2022, 07:30:49 AM
Without a doubt it's always Sportsbet.io that I will pick first. Stake.com is also a good choice but in terms of features like parlays in one game Sportsbet has the upper hand because Stake.com doesn't have that yet.
Trust issues, both have no problem with their customer support as they will definitely clean it up before it goes out of hand.
Withdrawal fees are also decent, not that high compared to others sports bookies. I have never seen a long maintenance with their servers too, almost none.
Two thumbs up for their service and picking this forum to advertise their gambling platform.
1380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 01, 2022, 06:35:37 PM
I don't think comparing Bosh with Lebron is a good idea in terms of fitness.

Lebron is by far one of the fittest players in the league right now. And Bosh is also 37 years old. But if he feels like he can give it another shot, I think it's worth a try for him and the team as well. His experience will come in handy for them. Watching Bosh in the court again would be a pleasure for any.
Yes, and he will never claim that if he ain't active with playing basketball. If he says he can do it then he must be keeping up his shape everyday and didn't stop from playing ball. The question is if they are testing this players first or will have a tune up game just to be sure they can still handle the heat of the game.
NBA needs more players as much as possible to avoid postponing them. This will be a problem in the long run if the games to catch up will pile up.
