So whats with leetpools again? I even tried changing DNS server, created new worker... Still no connection!

I'm not in town to measure this myself, has anyone measured power savings at the wall for mining this versus scrypt with similar configs?
810W vs 930W for scrypt. Pretty much 40W per card, someone was reporting the same. I am wondering... Seems like we can squeeze some more juice of 280x settings. I cannot connect to leetpools too, flushed dns, even rebooted.

I have no idea who arranged it but good job

Yeah 50800 would be great to bring kimoto in but well... Is anyone resposible around?

Can someone explain what the Whale Miners are actually doing and why it is causing the freeze ?
Is anyone actually mining coins and getting paid and if so who is, the whale ?
What are the mechanics of this ?
Thanks
Right now whales are doing nothing to fedora, they already did. Our cycle was ~20 diff to 70-120 diff. But this time whales stayed one wave longer and push diff from 71 to 278. After that they switched hash power somewhere else leaving us in even deeper shit. So far 7hrs without a block...

Sigh it wont be 1812. It is calculated from last blocks found. Right now we are 6 hrs withotu a block. You will see a correction as soon as next block is found, probably to something like ~20 diff. Still someone made sure we dont clear from 270 diff anytime soon

STUCK at Block 50791 !!!
Yeah somene is trying to delay kimoto, but to what end? Probably just for amusement
|
|
|
Seems we are alone with 277 diff now. Hope it will not take ages.

Have the multipools removed themselves from the global hash rate for TIPS ?
Been reading the last few pages and it is what I gather ?
No, the multipools only switch to tips for the low difficulty. They took 3 minutes to mine the 10 easy blocks. Now leaving the 10 hard blocks to us. This all ends in 348 blocks. What will happen at 51000th block? Fedora gets kimoto gravity well - diff algo that works like a charm for some cryptos already. Basically Multipools will not be able to pump diff and leave, like it is happening now. Is it official, I i never saw that info!? Still 1370 blocks. Last block was hit 2 hrs ago. Really flound can be reasoned with... If multipool stays away from fedora, it will just get 6 hrs to launch kimoto.
|
|
|
Still 370 blocks to go to kimoto. Invisibel maybe ask flound to switch off fedora from multipool, till we hit 51000?

Any word when cryptsy will be on the correct chain?

Coinwarz updated. Prepare for diff raise

Looks like multipool is down (or under DDoS), head over to http://netcodepool.org. Using amazon webservers - Europe, Asian, Australian and South-American servers coming up this week. Mining on multipool without problems. Both eu and US pools register as alive. E: I am mining on single doge pool

im getting 540-620k/hash now on core 1050 because cgminer keeps on crashing on core 1200 can anyone help? setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 -I 13 -g 2 -v 1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1049 --power-tune -20 try that. I get a MAX 720Kh/s out of my R9 280x so if you expect more, you will not get it. That didn't work either Try -v 2 and drop the powertune. Also clse all the programs, even gpu-z. only cgminer running and then check hashrate. 280x is really stressed when someone is watching

Go for gigabyte. I had a good opinion about MSI, still like their motherboards but gfx are a joke. 2nd card is dieing on me plus some oily strange thingy spills from fans. Really MSI? o.O I must say that 280x are generally problematic... My favourite sapphires are having probs with VRM temps, what a generation of cards
|
|
|
It seems that front(left) Fan is dieing and needs more voltage to sustain RPM. For now I Just swapped this card to cooler position, nothing more than I could do I suppose...
This is 2nd out of three MSI cards that dies/starts to die on me. Bad luck or poor quality...

Hey, thanks for the answer. I will visit my rig today and check for dust, though this one hashes for just 1 month.
I also plan to flip bios switch, uninstall drivers and chnge slots. Issue is very strange.
