Is it just me or has SMC disappeared from CoinWarz?

I emailed them and told them the block reward was now 16... maybe they are updating?
1383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PIR] ---- PirateCoin | Exchange listed ---- Arrr! on: March 25, 2014, 05:47:37 PM
Well if that is a possibility then lets do something and get this coin going!

However, think about this... you say "sex sells" and sure it does but look at sexcoin that has already gone this route and there is no way another sex-type coin (IMO) will match it. That being said, the current network hashrate is only 140 MH/s and the coin is selling for 500 satoshi (with the same block reward as PIR). We could have attained this with PIR by itself if we had marketing done on the coin. So unless this booty guy has a better plan than the whole sexcoin community then I doubt it is going to do us any good to make this coin all about sex and kill any hope of professional investors. Maybe I'm short-sighted here but this is just how I see it.

I think you could be right that you are a little short-sighted here.

Sexcoin hits you in the face for what it really is but bootycoin works more subliminal, like hank already pointed out and it has also the pirate theme in it. I think that's a great combo because you get a broader spectrum of uses for the coin and people. So i believe it's not that certain you can state sexcoin will never be matched.
Besides he said he has a marketing plan and merchants on board...what more could one ask for?

In my opinion if he really does go along with us we all would owe him big-time...

Well in light of this coin no longer having a dev I do not think we are going anywhere but down unless we turn this over to him then. Unfortunately that seems the only route to take that doesnt end in walking the plank here.

Anyone else agree with that?

When someone says "the community should do more" thats like watching a man get beat to death while you stand there with a Glock 23 and yell out "can someone come help this guy!?!?!?!"

-you are the community... do your part and success will follow

I've done a whole lot (:
And i am still committed to do even more for this coin.
I also own a fair share of the the Smartcoins. 3% of all the existing coins.
One man can only do so much, united we can do so much more.

And yes i still believe the community should do more for this coin.
I also think the community would be better off without "smart" comments like that in the future..

Either way, have a nice day.

touche my friend... you are not the majority that screams about community behind the cloak of laziness then.

At this point I am for anything that can get this coin going.
Creating a whole new coin with a new block chain is stupid. It basically says to everyone that has mined it and got it on allcrypt and worked on things "screw you." I know it doesnt seem like much but a handful of people have mined and worked on this project to get it at least trading and known by a few.
So rebrand, rename, market, do whatever. But if the blockchain is being abandoned and a whole new coin is going to launch from block 0 then I'm out.
1388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: March 24, 2014, 05:17:51 PM
A couple questions:

I just started on multipool and I wanted to know how long it takes to get a payout? I requested one about 2 hours ago and nothing yet. I know it says every 30 minutes but are there stipulations on the payouts?

Also, I setup Cryptsy auto-sell after putting in my trade key (great new feature) but I'm a little confused on the auto-sell rules in Cryptsy. Can anyone tell me which rule I should use if I want to sell immediately at the highest buying price? 1.) sell at top buy bid or 2) immediate and complete sell?

Last 2 long posts...

I like what you are saying and you seem to be more competent in terms of getting us somewhere than anyone else here. However, it sounds as though you want to create a whole new coin... As in, from block 0 with nothing. Is that what you are saying? Otherwise, how could we go from total of 52,000,000 coins to 69B, etc...?

1391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PIR] ---- PirateCoin | Exchange listed ---- Arrr! on: March 20, 2014, 11:37:38 AM
Okay so it sounds like we need to:

1.) Change the logo back to what it was and do not have anything to do with The Pirate Party
2.) Change the Piratecoin abbreviation to ARR and get a new wallet compiled
3.) Get the new web site up and keep it up
4.) Get a blockchain explorer (if the original is still down)
5.) Decide together on how to promote and expose this coin to more people
6.) Find something good to be involved in with the coin (make it useful)

I personally do not like the idea of changing the whole name of the coin. I like Piratecoin better than Bootycoin and think it is a better choice. But I'm just one vote and the majority should rule.

I would just like to see some unity here and to get things running normally/smoothly like they were for a few weeks at least when this coin first came out. Then we can focus on getting bigger.

Well we need to do something. So lets do it.

I've been trying to trade on agx.io but I cant. When I try to sell it will not go through. I have open orders for the current sell price but they are not processing. Anyone else having this problem?
1397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PIR] ---- PirateCoin | Exchange listed ---- Arrr! on: March 16, 2014, 09:22:44 PM
Well since its your coin now then I guess you have the control don't you?

I think we all agree that we want what is best for the coin and for its future success. The way you demean the coin and this community makes me think that you should give it to us and we need to find a new dev. Unless I am mistaken in how you feel about it.

1399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PIR] ---- PirateCoin | Exchange listed ---- Arrr! on: March 16, 2014, 04:43:36 PM
Important Info:

it seems to me motd2k will not tell you guys what's going on and it seems he thinks it is my duty to inform the community:

the last pm i got form him read: he was happy to hand over the project to the pirate party. next day site was down and everything. tried to contact him again, no answer up to now.

so now i feel it's up to me to inform you that the future of this coin/p2p-network is uncertain. the way i see it there are three options present here:

1. The community here decides it's their network and they want to continue it, rename it (to bootycoin or whatever) and find a new dev. (If this is the will of the community be assured we will help you as far as possible at the moment)

2. Pirate Party takes over the network. Which certainly would take a while and would be unclear what it would mean for the reputation of the coin (the time taken) and probably would result in an hardfork one or two years from now. (And even if pirate party takes over i can not guarantee that the coin will be kept. Because it was no pirate project and so decisions have been made without the consensus of the other pirate party members which is not in line with the values of the party.)

3. The coin dies. (An option i don't think anybody prefers.)

For all of you who don't know what this is about:
The pirate party is also planing a crypto coin project. You are welcome to become a pirate yourself and participate. Just write a pm to me.

Why would we want to give the coin to The Pirate Party when you dont even know if the coin will be kept? I mean, that sounds to me to be the dumbest idea. So basically the community gives you the coin and then it gets squashed so as to not be in competition with your group's crypto-project? Doesn't seem too smart to me.

+1 we should go ahead and cut the block reward to 1/4 what it currently is (16 instead of 64)
