The 2023 season of Legends League Cricket Masters will start today at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha. For the Indian Maharajas, Gautam Gambhir will be the captain, and the squad contains notable players such as Stuart Binny, Harbhajan Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Suresh Raina and Robin Uthappa. Asia Lions are captained by Shahid Afridi, with Abdul Razzaq, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Paras Khadka and Mohammad Amir in the squad. Shoaib Akhtar is also playing for Asia. This tournament will be a tri-series and the third team is World Giants (comprised of non-Asian players).

I think a lot of people do not follow this tournament closely at all. I remember a lot of years ago there was a competition between players from Asia and players from the rest of the world, probably. If I recall correctly it was probably in 2004 -05 or around that time. That competition was actually interesting to see. I don't know what happened. That competition was discontinued.

Nowadays we don't see any competition like that as far as I know.

Can you tell me if the ICC is behind the tournament that you are talking about? Because if ICC is, this tournament should be marketed a lot more.
I'm not sure, whether ICC is behind the tournament or not. The tournament is quite interesting to watch as it remind of watching old matches. Though the match isn't familiar, India have good set of players and to few players are down with their fitness, in particular Raina is simply different. Afridi and Shoaib sitting outside and enjoying the match, and this match particularly interests the 90's kids.

South Africa V West Indies

Like the first test match, the South African team is likely to win the second match as well. South Africa batted well in the first innings. And their performance is good in the second innings too. South Africa collected 266 runs losing 6 wickets. And South Africa is now leading by 335 runs. And I think that is enough collection to win against West Indies.

West Indies bowler's performance is bad I would not say that. But the performance of West Indies batsmen is very bad. West Indies batsmen are not suitable for the Test format. Apart from Jason Holder, no other batsman on the team could collect up to 30 runs.
South Africa have lost wicket 7 at 277 runs. In the Australia vs India match Khawaja played an awesome innings. Bavuma had kept South Africa at the better position scoring 171* runs. At the end of day 3 South Africa were at 287-7, lead by 356 runs. The match is completely into the hands of South Africa. In the first innings West Indies players failed to score, with the scoring from Holder West Indies avoided the follow on. We don't know what happens in the second innings.

Alcaraz has an amazing incentive to play his best tennis as he can take the no. 1 in the ATP ranking from Djokovic again if he wins the Indian Wells tournament. The only problem he is carrying around with him is the threat of his injury to come back again. I hope that's not the case as his young age as it would be sad to see such a great talent being set back over and over again by physical problems.

He has everything it needs to dominate the tennis world for a long period of time. It is also fun to watch his games as he has the perfect fighting spirit for every single ball he is playing. He doesn't give up a single shot from his opponent. It is fun to watch because you can see the despair in the eyes of his opponents and especially when they start shaking their heads after another impossible return from Alcaraz! Cheesy

Alcaraz should be able to win this match against Kokkinakis quite easily. He should not even break a sweat. But I am a little worried about his injury situation. He is very young. He has a lot of time to go into his career. So he will have to be a little careful.

I know he has the youngness in him right now. That's why he is going to want to try things that generally an older player will not. What I am trying to say is he should not get carried away because of his youth. He should be very careful about his health because health is all that matters for any player in long term.

Regards

Duke
Alcaraz recent encounters were with Cameron Norrie. In the Argentina open Alcaraz won the title with the direct set wins. In the Rio Open Norrie won the title with the first set won by Alcaraz and later Norrie made a comeback and won the title. This time will the two meet at any point.

As said Alcaraz is very young and he had got more to go. At this age the young mind never cares about the health, it always gives the motivation and keeps himself ready to play at any condition. Such state of mind need to change for a long term tennis career.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did they not know about the importance of Bitcoin? on: March 10, 2023, 12:39:13 AM
This is just an assumption, if they hadn't sold during those days the price of bitcoin might not be seen as high as now. Only after the bitcoin purchase it is believed to have value and people started it as payment here and there. It was the first real world transaction in the form of bitcoin. Everyone could've known about the importance, but none could've estimated the growth to be this high. In one of his interview he admitted

“If I had treated it as an investment, I might have held on a bit longer,” Mr Sturdivant admitted in 2018.

“I would never have thought that the same number of bitcoin would have a purchasing power on the order of real estate.”

Australia vs India final test match have took the audience and none have went through the other two test matches going onn, Sri Lanka vs New Zealand and South Africa vs West Indies.

South Africa is at the lead position scoring 320 runs in the first innings. West Indies wasn't able to perform good. Already they've lost 6 wickets scoring 128 runs. Jason Holder and Da Silva on the crease could add little more runs. Anyhow this match too gonna be a win for South Africa as the first test match.

End of day 1, Sri Lanka is at good position against New Zealand scoring 305/6. Though Sri Lanka tours New Zealand, Sri Lanka is performing good.
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 09, 2023, 11:31:46 AM
In the 1st match of the T20 series, the Bangladesh cricket team won the toss and decided to bowl first. Although the bowling of the Bangladesh team had a weak start, the bowling lineup towards the end was very strong. In the first innings, the England team finished the game in 20 overs, collecting 156 runs. Bangladesh team has enough capacity to meet the target of 157 runs. Bangladesh team has a chance to win this match. Now if the Bangladesh cricket team can perform well in batting. Then Bangladesh will win the match against England very easily

Bangladesh so far scored 71 runs after losing 2 wickets in the over. I think Bangladesh will win if they play like this. Rony Talukder was out for 21 off 14 balls and Liton Das was out for 10 off 14 balls.
This is going to be an easy win for Bangladesh. 74 out of 70 balls is an easy target with Shanto and Hridoy on the crease scoring 35* and 14* runs. England started good, but the score isn't enough to make this a winning match. Based on the 12 matches that are being played on the Zahur Ahmed ground the target score is the average.

England vs Bangladesh

Toss won by Bangladesh and decided to bowl. Bangladesh have made a good decision to chase the target. The pitch is something neutral, both batting and bowling will be good based on the player performance. England have got the best batting line-up, starting from Phil, Butler, Malan, Duckett, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Chris Woakes. Bangladesh too have the best squad which makes the match more competing.
Bangladesh T20 team captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and decided to field first against England. Before the start of the match, there was a discussion that two new faces in the Bangladesh team may debut today but instead of two, today one has made his debut and that is Tawheed Hriday.  Bangladesh have fielded a good XI against England today if they can keep England between 130 and 140 runs then I think Bangladesh will have a chance to win this match today.
The opener Towhid Hridoy is given opportunity whereas the spinner could be added to the upcoming matches. England have begun the batting and are strong after the powerplay without losing any wickets scoring 51 runs. The partnership at the beginning will help in scoring good runs at the end overs. Based on the scoring pattern it looks like 160+ runs will be easily reached as they're trying to maintain the runrate around 9rpo.

Australia seems to be doing OK, but still not in a comfortable position. Steven Smith and Usman Khawaja are showing no undue haste and they are playing very patiently against Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. India has plenty of bowling options, as they included two pacers and three spinners for this match. Australia are at 105/2 after 42.0 overs. Still it needs to be seen whether they can get to 250-300, since their middle order crumbled during the first three matches. For India, Ashwin is the trump-card. Other bowlers haven't troubled the Australian batsmen so far.
Khawaja and Smith are in good form. Khawaja reached his half century and the partnership between the two reached 50. Indian bowlers are trying the best, and unable to make break between the wicket. According to the present situation, Australia could easily reach 300+ runs based on the score coming from this pair. Possibly the first innings will move to the second day.

The first T20 match between Bangladesh and England is going to start today. Two young cricketers may make their debut for Bangladesh today. One is the opener Tawheed Hridoy and the other is the spinner Tanveer Islam who performed well in the recently concluded BPL. Tanveer Islam's debut may be as a replacement for Nasum Ahmed.  But England and their best XI will definitely play against Bangladesh today. Because they lost to Bangladesh in the last ODI match, England will definitely want to start with their first T20 win against Bangladesh.
With the ODI we can't predict the win of the teams. At any point the match can turn. In most of the matches the scoring used to be at 10 runs per over for the first ten overs with 1/2 wickets fallen. In the next ten overs the team could've lost every wickets scoring 40-50 runs.

The debut players were much expected based on what they've performed in their first class matches and the BPL. However both were completely different atmosphere, guidance from players like Shakib Al Hasan will help them progress and do the best. The average scoring in Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium is around 160 runs and this looks to be high scoring match.

Sri Lanka batted well enough. With the help of Karunaratne's 50 and Mendis' 87 runs, Sri Lanka collected 196 runs after losing 3 wickets at the end of 49 overs. This is quite a good collection.
Mathews and Chandimal are now batting. Two very experienced batsmen. If they are able to extend their partnership then Sri Lanka has the potential to collect 400 runs. But if they can get more than 350 then it will be good enough to fight against New Zealand.
I don't like any bowler's performance today except Tim Shouthee. New Zealand's bowlers need some more controlled bowling.

Yeah.. now Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal are batting well and the 4th wicket partnership has already crossed 50 runs. The problem for New Zealand is that two of their pacers (Blair Tickner and Neil Wagner) are completely out of form and haven't settled yet. So far they have gone for more than 6 runs per over (in case of Wagner, at 10 runs per over). The absence of Jamieson is having a huge impact on the effectiveness of the Kiwi bowling. Also, Trent Boult used to be a crucial member, until he decided to give preference to T20 franchise leagues over test format.

@Sithara007 Srilanka are in a strong position as they have lost just 4 wickets and have already scored 257 runs, plus the match was stopped due to rains which means their spinners will benefit when they start to bowl. Lastly if they can cross 400+ runs and pick some early wickets then I feel that New Zealand will be under pressure, and probably go on to lose the game too.
Sri Lanka have lost its 5th wicket. Score of Sri Lanka is 262 runs with De Silva and Dickwella on the crease we can expect the score to the maximum of 350 runs. New Zealand playing in its home ground always have advantage and surely New Zealand won't fall easier. As said some early wickets would pressure up the New Zealand players performance. If Williamson is able to make some score the match turns to be more interesting.

The prime factor behind these promotions were to attract the users. In such way the promotions will direct you towards the registration page or into the home page of the casino. When we were able to connect through the promotion we should also have the awareness to go through the terms and conditions. Even if the terms and conditions were added we just go click agree and proceed further without going through the terms. This happens out of the urge to enjoy the promo. Later while experiencing some problem we'll start reading the terms and conditions.
152  Economy / Speculation / Re: Maybe it's time for BTC to take off and reach the $100K on: March 08, 2023, 11:42:28 PM
Bitcoin would reach the mentioned price, but this isn't gonna happen anytime soon. From what I've understood the price of bitcoin will undergo bearish move as the halving is scheduled for the year 2024. Now the price is stabilizing and there is no big move. When we have the confidence it is time to accumulate expecting the best to happen at the shortest or in the long term. According to me, with the cryptomarket we need to be prepared to face the worst and the same brings good fortune when the market is bullish or against our prediction.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will you feel when your government make BTC legal? on: March 08, 2023, 11:38:13 PM
My way to class this morning with some of my lovely course mate, someone raise this question that if our government decide to adopt BTC or make BTC legal how will i feel? I told him that the day our government will announce that BTC is now fully legalized in the country, I will throw a big party to host all the bitcoiners in my environment to join me to celebrate. If your government decide to adopt BTC or make BTC legal in your country, how will you feel?  Will you be among the people that will be angry because i know there are some people in our various places that think BTC is a scam digital currency which is not true, will you go to make them to understand it better in a positive way?
You did not mention if where that country you meant for but it is expected that most countries now are more friendly to bitcoin though it is not yet legal but at least they recognized it as a secondary option to fiat. If your government were to legalize bitcoin, it could have a significant impact on the broader adoption of cryptocurrencies, potentially leading to more widespread use and acceptance. If you are passionate about bitcoin and its potential, you could consider educating those around you in a positive and informative way. Sharing your knowledge and experiences with bitcoin can help dispel misconceptions and build greater understanding and support for the technology. So good luck and enjoy using bitcoin.
Almost people are free to use it and not much restrictions in the name of legality. People are free to use it all around. When the legality of any country is declared people freely openup and this paves path for better progress in the market. The spreading happens in a faster way, as people who were investing in cryptocurrency secretly will talk about it. More unknown people will get to know about it. More positive things could happen associated with bitcoin.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I managed to convince my senior dad to invest in BTC on: March 08, 2023, 11:33:54 PM
Not sure why, but last week he finally told me he wanted to try it. So we setup his software wallet and he bought 0.01 BTC. Not sure if he'll buy more, but I can certainly say I'm proud of him!

Did you manage to convince your dads or other older people in your family to buy BTC?
You are indeed a lucky person because your father is still with you on earth. I send my sincere greetings to your father. But I think your father started investing in btc towards the end of his life. Pray to God that your father lives long and sees the halving of Bitcoin. Currently, the market is very chaotic by investing in this random market, your father may lose his mind temporarily. But don't worry about it, you have to wait for sure you and your father will get success. Gradually build up your investment and you will soon be able to earn a lot of money.
Even if he had invested few years back he'll be at his 60+ years of age. Even at his 70's he had gained the interest on technology based investment when most of them were thinking of taking rest with what they've earned. As mentioned pray for good health and wealth automatically follows him as his investment is on bitcoin.
155  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: March 07, 2023, 11:59:52 PM
I wonder if Stake can implement something simple for transparency? It is clear that the Stake Original games have a variable RTP, so it is not fixed, like many slots from third party service providers.

It should not be too difficult for Stake developers to add a query feature to the "current" RTP that are configured for each game and to display it in "real time" under the game info tab.

The only reason why you would want to display a fixed text number, is if you are manipulating it.  Roll Eyes

Live RTP is a nice feature, and I myself like to play slots on some gambling platforms where you can see it. I play on both, Highest RTP games and Lowest RTP games for different reasons. The former I play because I think: "Wow, everyone's winning on this slot! 350% RTP for the last 24 hours! I should try my luck with it too." And the latter I play because I think: "Long time no wins? Only 6% RTP? Someone should win soon! Maybe it will be me." But, of course, all that is just for fun. I know well that your chances of winning on a slot don't depend on on other people's(or yours) performance on it during the last 24 hours.

So, it's not about transparency. It's only about more fun.
To be honest I'm a person who doesn't look at the RTP when playing, so I prefer to play where I want to play at the time. The RTP feature is good, because it will be an option and you will see the opportunities in which game has a bigger chance. But for some reason when I play with a high RTP I actually lose, it's different if I don't see the RTP at all. That's what made me choose to only play the games I wanted to play, regardless of the RTP.
RTP is just a factor that gives more credibility to the platform. Most of the users never consider, and prefer to play the game they like. Loss happens even with the high RTP games, as the outcome is all depending on the luck from a players view. From the developer view it is different. Myself just gamble and end up losing/winning and never mind of the RTP. Maybe I should give a try and find the difference between games with high RTP and lower RTP.
156  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of living is trying to kill the living on: March 07, 2023, 11:53:19 PM
All around the world, inflation have hit harder and the living costs have reached the peak. During the same time more job cuts and lack of employment opportunities makes the scenario even worse. In recent years the oil price increase due to the war have caused big impact all around the world. When the fuel price increases, automatically each and everything from the basic needs increase in the price. It takes time, if not we're gonna get adopted to the situation. This is how the world gonna move.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins dead? on: March 07, 2023, 11:47:12 PM
Altcoins has its own season, so nothing to panic and worry about it. Bitcoin will be the dominant of all crypto that's why some altcoins are dependents of bitcoin's price move. Nonetheless, it is alwaysa good buy of blue chip altcoins that has potential to do muh more in the next bull seasons.
Altcoins follow the market of bitcoin. The change happens once after the bullish move of bitcoin reaching specific point. From that point there won't be much of movement with the bitcoin, but altcoins continue to progress. Whenever you feel the market to be down it is good in buy more altcoins at the better position. The important thing with altcoins is the patience to profit, you need the patience if not this gonna end in loss. Same time some altcoins take a drastic uptrend and moves down all of the sudden. We need close observation while investing on altcoins.
158  Economy / Economics / Re: War: who benefits and how! on: March 06, 2023, 11:59:22 PM
In war no country benefits despite the attack or winning from the opponent, in war they both lose their soldiers at a time and as well suffer the same hardship. Now how doe other country benefits, well as a matter of fact there's no benefits all less their competitors who are wanting to dominate the other country by innovations and many more. Don't you ever or dream of war because after the war it would take longer time to take back it's previous structures and coupled with the numerous soul that has been lost, Many of their citizens have relocated from their country to nearest country where they found comfortability and rest of mind.
The winner will be the country that sells the war equipments to the country involved in war. Almost every country have got a big allocation on their budget for security and systems development. This fund is being used continuously on production, and beyond some point there happens accumulation. How this can be used, only during war. Even there are discussion that war is being triggered by few nations for their weapon trade. I'm not sure on it.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tournament gave 25 bitcoins as prize to last places on: March 06, 2023, 11:56:48 PM
The tournament held in 2011 where the price of bitcoin was still low where it's like from $0.3 to $3.
For context: Tournament's Last-Place Bitcoin Prize Could've Made Starcraft Losers Millionaires.

I hope the winner has kept this prize till now. I believe the goal of giving prizes in the form of Bitcoin was to introduce Bitcoin to new people. In the same context, I remember the faucets that were giving reasonable amounts of Bitcoin in 2015 and 2016, as well as other crypto currencies that heavily raised in value later, like Dogcoin. Actually, these ways could have built a fortune for some people, but at that time, there was only a small portion of people who knew that Bitcoin and the crypto domain as a whole would reach this point of value and popularity.
None could've taken it with the best understanding. Maybe if someone have known about its technology, there was possible chances that the person have kept them secure. In another thread found a person questioned about $100 cash or bitcoin and the answer is $100 in cash. This is happening in 2023, what could've been the scenario almost 12+ years back.
160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 06, 2023, 11:51:42 PM
Bharat didn't do anything special with the bat but it's also true for every top order batter in the team and he hardly made any mistakes behind the wickets if we neglect the few DRS calls.

So i believe they'll go with Bharat again as he's superior WK when compared to Kishan. I'd still prefer spin tracks.
Bharat is far better than Ishan Kishan behind the stumps. I also agree that his batting hasn't been up to the mark but replacing him for just that reason doesn't make any sense. Recently KL Rahul was replaced by Shubhman Gill considering his present form but the outcome is still not satisfactory. I think India should stick with the present team and not make any more changes. All they need to do is work on their batting.
For the upcoming test match the batting line-up needs improvement. When the team have good score, the bowlers will have the better choice to bowl. If not they constraint themselves within specific limits and bowl. This couldn't let them go for wickets, as they are also in a situation to restrict runs. As said, the squad is good enough to play with focus on batting line-up.
