281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: February 06, 2023, 08:43:48 PM
Obviously thinking about a 1$ value is impossible but what's a possible price shiba can reach now?

They are aiming to loss another 0, that would already be 800% price increase which is HUGE but we have obviusly seen more in the past, the market sometimes is unpredictable.

Now with the shibarium release getting close the hype definitely is there and new highs are possible, just as new lows of course.

The team keep on working hard to cut a zero doesn't work for now. The supply cut through the regular burning of tokens have kept the price constant without much of price fluctuation. More positive news were send around, and the same could attract some investors. Already Shiba is the token that is being kept hold by majority of the cryptocurrency users around the world.
282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 06, 2023, 08:37:42 PM
I think the biggest transition in Indian sports happened in the 2015-2018 period. Because a lot of sports like Kabaddi, Badminton and others got very popular. But I think eventually the one sport for which India is known all around the world is cricket.

I do not say that changing anytime soon. As far as I know, India has refused to take part in the Olympics. But I think they can afford to do that because now in cricket India is more self-sufficient compared to any other cricket board. So, I think it is better for India if they do participate in the Olympics. But it is not going to cost them anything if they do not as well.
I agreed about this Indian done amazing progress and have good changes but sadly due to RED CARPET policies and domestic corruption they are unable to take good advantage of this all and still having no results which they deserved in this all just two decades back USA, Germany and Russia were the dominating powers in Olympics, but now China is having good development, and they are ahead of the USA as well because they are doing their homework properly and bringing changes in their domestic setup and having amazing results, so India can also do things like these, but we all know these are no possible like this all happen in China.

Right now main topic is IPL and cricket which is surely good, but we need to be had space for other sports as well which is need of the time in team sports they were good in field hockey as well, but now they ended 9th at home why they are not giving proper facilities and coverage which are they giving to cricket which is creating space and mostly youths want to stay in cricket which is never been good idea.
To some extent younger generation progress and further to compete in the international level they're in need of facilities, diet, proper coach and more other allowances. Corruption keeps things down and doesn't let the players progress. In recent years badminton is the only sport that have got good coverage after cricket. Hockey which is the national game of India now mastered by other countries. Once the captain itself complained about the improper food provided for them. So, to make everything organised and grow through competence is really hard task as government isn't taking responsibility.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I decided to buy some fractions of BTC after discussion with members here on: February 06, 2023, 08:29:58 PM
This is the point, we don't need to rush into taking action because rushing will usually make us regret it later.
Likewise here, when we want to invest, obviously we have to think about all the possible consequences, considering that when we invest, it is certain that the money used in it will not be able to be used for needs in the near future if you really want to invest. Therefore, we don't need to spend all the money we have because we also need it to support our daily needs.
Like saving, I think we also know how to increase our portfolio without sacrificing our life in the world we live in.
DCA has always been a must for now (at least for me) with bitcoin being pretty cheap right now.
As said it is a must to analyse and use the funds that can't be used on near needs. The market volatility could lead the price downwards as well as upwards. However it needs certain time  period, so that the investment made gives good return. With cryptocurrency investment we need to spend and forget about it. This way many have made good profit out of bitcoin. Same as regular savings, spending specific amount to buy bitcoin unlike the price too helps in maintaining good portfolio. The decision to buy at the right time is really appreciable.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Physical Bitcoin Shop in Port Harcourt (Nigeria) on: February 06, 2023, 08:15:20 PM
Physical Store for buying Bitcoin is really interesting development. Nigeria have got more and more cryptocurrency acceptance amidst the governments stand to use its own CBDC. Its been more than two months passed and he had enjoyed an unforgettable birthday. After the story someone might've tried the store. Similar stores around the world is much needed for the better spreading about the Bitcoin network.
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be banned or stopped by governments on: February 05, 2023, 10:31:51 PM
Banning or stopping its usage completely is really hard for now. Just think of the countries that are against bitcoin as well as countries that imposed ban. People continued to use from those countries which is the reality. No one can Stop it's usage, maybe in its beginning days this could've been made possible. I'm not sure, but now it is impossible as someone around the world will have it and use it.
286  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Heading Back To $23,000? on: February 05, 2023, 10:28:26 PM
It looks like bitcoin is making its position strong at $23k and it looks like we'll be sitting around the price range for some time period same as that we had $17k for longer time period. However Market is in good position without much of negative news circulating around. This can keep the market strong than dragging backwards.
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption growing stronger everyday on: February 05, 2023, 10:25:02 PM
It’s true, as days are passing the rate of adopting Bitcoins is increasing. The reason for this is very simple. The coins are limited in number, that is not more coins can be created or made. Hence Bitcoins are very much valuable, and people knows the worth of it. As time will pass it will become more rare, and hence due to the increase in demand it’s price will go up, hence more people are buying the coins and we are witnessing a greater rate of adoption for the coin. Let’s hope for the best.

No! The reason for the growing adoption is because bitcoin has proven that it is reliable and trustworthy. It has survived many false death given to her by the people. It has survived many harshness and bad news and it cannot be controlled by any single authority. I think this is why Bitcoin adoption is growing steadily.
Above all, it have proved that it can reach high in value against the inflation. It took long for people to believe it and the same will have impact over the market. In such a way it have crossed lots of deaths which is true. No authority having control over the market makes things welcoming, because only the users mistake will cause them loss.
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are good at using the most hyped utility on: February 05, 2023, 10:19:19 PM
Today the next big thing is called Artificial intelligence and as a coinmarkcap user I am seeing many new A.I projects, I investigate two newly listed on CMC and I found out they are rubbish,  it seems the Doge and INU race is over, now it's A.I call for scammers.
This always happens like previously when the ICO, DeFi, games, NFT, and also other hype projects in the cryptocurrency world happen, scammers always harvest so much money from their victims. Unfortunately, although there have been so many victims and scams, many people don't take the lessons and still become the victim of the scammers themselves. A very high expectation of being rich quickly is the main reason, so they are expecting very high profits from certain projects. And during the hype, scammers can manage and control to get the victims that are too greedy without any good analysis to invest. This has happened many times but still always happening, seems like never-ending scammers

Yeah, it is the human mind that makes them fall for the scammers and loss everything earned. Many people have experienced it and still people does the same thing. This is not because of the people's greed, but the scammers approach which never makes people have doubt over them. As the market keeps widening we'll see more scammers around.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can anyone tell me what is the best way to gamble w/ BTC on online casinos? on: February 05, 2023, 09:51:01 PM
Strictly for Bitcoin, is there a list of the best online gambling casinos and their corresponding pros/cons of using?

I am asking because I don't quite have all the experience in the world and the people in these threads seem to be the most savvy on this.

What have you found works best? What does not work? I guess I am looking for a sort of "cheat sheet" if you will. If that even exists.

Have a great night everyone.

Cheers,

TREAD

Op I don't think you subject and the content are in line with each other. Look t your Subject: "Can anyone tell me what is the best way to gamble w/ BTC on online casinos?"
But concerning your content, there are so many casinos that accept bitcoin and if you search well in the gambling board you will see them many. You are looking for a recommendation, it is good but you would have tried to check it out by yourself.
With gambling, users will suggest their choice but that won't suit OP. Different people have different view and look for convenience. Only through experimenting it is possible to learn understand which one is better. Maybe OP can take the suggestion and he/she can experiment it, which is really good.
290  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: February 05, 2023, 09:46:04 PM
We all know that Everton has just beaten Arsenal, which is a great result for them after so long time without a win in Premier League.
Anyone expecting another bonus from Stake, a bonus to celebrate this impressive win against the current EPL leader?  Cheesy
Perhaps there will be a bonus drop in telegram to celebrate but I think most users are expecting for pre monthly bonus Smiley

Since they have released post monthly coupon last month, it is not guaranteed there will be pre monthly February coupon.
Maybe few bonus drops on Telegram, that is how they usually celebrate, IMO.

I think something is different, because this victory is very special so there's a possibility post-monthly will distributed
remember what they defeat is Arsenal so it's worthy of a bonus  Cheesy so far Arsenal lost 2 times and Everton was one who defeated them
Is it possible that this bonus was sent to coincide with February 14?
Yeah I can remember they have released pre monthly bonus after unique Watford victory, why not same for Everton? 🙂
My prediction is chances are low if they gonna release another bonus before 14 Feb which can be exactly monthly bonus date, IMHO.
The team will be having different plans and everything happens in an unexpected manner. Even now we're on the track and if lucky we can receive little bonus. Once after going through the discussion checked with the e-mail whether something have been received. No bonus, and it looks like we'll receive the monthly bonus directly.

Another bad session at dices.  Roll Eyes
Can you believe it? in only a dozen of rolls I got out of combat and had to stop (because I had reached my personal loss threshold).
This contrasts much with the first time I played dices on Stake and managed to get a sweet streak.

this is my second bad session in a row, perhaps I should move onto blackjack and let the dices cold down for a couple of months, for Satoshi's sake...

Maybe yesterday was just a day of bad luck for everyone playing slots?  Grin Roll Eyes

I too did not have much luck at the slot games and got quite frustrated as well. Although I cannot say that I have reached any kind of personal loss threshold, I definitely will be needing to take a break from gambling for a week at least, until my head cools down enough and I can play again without making any dumb bets out of anger or excitement.

I would recommend you do the same as well. Just take a rest and think about something else for a while. Get your motivation and self-control back. Grin
At times when we feel we've lost some money in gambling that we can't easily accept to let go, I think the best remedy to it is to give oneself a break, to continue gambling at that point is a really big mistake the gambler is making, because not only will he or she lose more money, but he's emotion might drive him into doing something really stupid which could lead to even more loses.

I have a personal experience when I gambled and lost about 50 percent of the initial amount I budgeted, I allowed anger take over me and my emotion drove me into betting the remaining balance of 50 percent once, and in a twinkle of an eye, every thing was gone, I really felt bad that day.
I think most gamblers did some crazy yolo bets like that. When I was still an addict I'm fond of doing that kind of bet, All for nothing bet and pushing me at my limit. I think the adrenaline rush makes me addicted doing it again and again when I'm still actively doing gambling. We can consider it as an expensive experience, At least we know what to do whenever we are on a situation like that. Giving yourself a break is an absolute must if you are getting triggered by the current gambling situation you have. Drink some water and contemplate. It works for me most of the time.
Whether you drink water or have a coffee is secondary, first thing is to take a break. When you're on the losing streak it is really hard to make a have control, because the mind will loss its temper and goes for higher bet. By the time we'll have a mind, we need to win what is being lost or loss everything. So gambling happens in an out of control manner.
292  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: February 03, 2023, 07:17:23 PM
Well, I have to clarify that personally I have never had any loan or debt in my life so this thread has nothing to do with my experience but intends to find out how people in loan/debt deal with the problem. Let's say you take loans from a bank and sometimes for whatever reason, you can not pay the debt on time, then you borrow money from other channels. Sure this works for a certain period but later bad things may happen, you have to postpone the payment and struggle with finances again. Isn't this a vicious circle ? How would you deal with the problem ? I am all ears.
I have made loans to banks several times, but all ended in disappointment because I didn't use the loan money for productive things, such as starting a business or business. I advise you not to make loans to banks to pay off debts, buy luxury items or eat food because you will definitely regret it and get stuck in a vicious cycle of debt.
Most of the time this is how loan amount gets wasted. Finally the purpose for which loan is being taken doesn't gets done. If not half the amount gets used for some other purpose and everything will be in half done situation and we once again look for ways to increase the loan amount with some process involved. As majority suggested it is good not to get into these kind of loans. Go for loan only if you're strong enough to use it for the right reason and pay it back correctly.

Loan is good for something like buying a car or home with our income being assured for the next 7 - 20 years. So that it'll be easy to repay as well as have our car/home in our name just paying the initial fund whereas it take years for us to save the entire amount and buy it.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 03, 2023, 07:04:26 PM
All that said, the vulnerability for England was their bowling, and not any other department. Even Archer bowled poorly in the first match, when he conceded 81 runs from his 10 overs. No one among the England bowlers performed in a consistent manner.
Agreed. England have so many amazing batsmen, but they have very few amazing bowlers these days which is why they are dominating all the formats like before. They need consistent bowlers like Broad, Anderson etc in their squad.

This is why I feel that their chances of winning the upcoming ODI World Cup are lower when compared to teams like Australia, India etc.
The consistency in the play is found with few batsmen and the same is missing completely with the bowlers. Even with Australia and India same is the scenario. During the days of McGrath we can  say he'll break the early wickets and the match easier for them to win. Nowadays that isn't assured by any of the bowlers from Australia. Also ODI is different from T20, so win out of fluke shots won't be possible much.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Up to what discount are you giving up for your customers? on: February 03, 2023, 02:02:49 PM
We're at the beginning days of more and more stores and businesses accepting bitcoin. By the time, to grab more attention providing discounts will be better. I'm not into any sort of business to accept bitcoin, my suggestion as a common man for the businesses accepting bitcoin is to bear the transaction fee. Just a suggestion, as more payment gateways provide no fee transactions. Maybe for the transaction cost users might avoid using bitcoin.
295  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Web Browsers begun to have inbuilt Cryptocurrency Wallets on: February 03, 2023, 06:21:29 AM
It looks like every web browser is trying to provide all in one application. This isn't necessary, because browser is meant for different purpose and there is no need for a wallet to be developed within it. With time more and more web browsers will provide similar services. Being a reputed platform some might show interest in using these services.

With brave something like brave tokens can be got for what we've browsed or something likewise. The same brave tokens can he tipped. Maybe something similar could make opera users show interest in collecting those tokens.
296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 02, 2023, 10:56:20 AM
England were able to save their face after struggling in the last two matches. As usual the English batted very well but the real reason they won the match was because of Archer. 6 wicket for just 40 runs is an incredible achievement after coming back from an injury. I hope he stays fit throughout this year and especially in the ODIWC. He is the only bowler that the English have who can easily snatch away the game from the opponent team.
Jofra Archer took 6 wickets and all important ones at right and crucial time and because of his smashing balling England won their 3rd ODI.  South Africa was good throughout the series and if Archer didn't took thier wickets SA would have won last ODI too.
Jofra Archer back to the form have helped England win the match, if not this could've been a winning match for South Africa.  I expected Jofra Archer to be presented with the man of the match for his 40/6 bowling 9.1 overs. Fortunately the man of the  match is given to Jos Butler.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 02, 2023, 06:46:03 AM
So I do not see a lot of chatting going on about the coming ICC Women's Cricket World Cup? It is scheduled to be held in South Africa, from 10 to 26 February 2023.  The tournament had been moved from its original date at the end of 2022 to February 2023 due to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

What is your predictions for this Women's Cricket World Cup and do you think the host country will have a higher chance of winning, seeing that it is going to be in front of their home crowd?
South Africa being in the home ground will have higher chance. More teams in good form makes the tournament more interesting. I'm waiting for today's T20 match between India Women and South Africa Women. Even this match outcome will help in predicting the better team on the Women's World Cup.
298  Economy / Economics / Re: Success is fundamentally determined by luck, not effort. on: January 31, 2023, 11:20:13 PM
Until the wise man takes off his shoes; the madman crosses the stream.

The first and most important requirement to be successful is to make an effort; luck follows effort in second place. If you make an effort, luck will find you easier. But in the absence of effort, it would be useless if you had the chance of the whole world.

We need to give the efforts and the same makes us get closer to luck. When we don't give the best and expect luck to favour us, it is the mistake. There are people who make themselves high out of luck. Those are one in hundred and everyone can't be the same. When we work hard, we'll be rewarded amidst the luck. When we just look for the luck without working hard we'll experience failure.
299  Economy / Speculation / Re: does the increasing number of altcoins have a negative impact on the price btc on: January 31, 2023, 10:25:31 PM
Increasing number of altcoins won't disturb the market of bitcoin. Bitcoin have got its user base and rest will be on altcoins. Lets have a simple calculation, if 80% of people use bitcoin, the same counts when there exists a new altcoin. This falls under the remaining 20% which is the altcoins users. Now among the 20% little turns towards the new altcoins. This is how it works and the same might have small impact on altcoins and not on bitcoin.
300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 31, 2023, 07:45:00 PM
In one of the matches of BPL, Khulna Tigers were playing against Comilla Victorians. Good score of 210 runs have come out of Khulna Tigers with Tamim Iqbal scoring 95 runs and Shai Hope, Barbadian cricketer have scored 91* runs. Both have missed the century by a small margin. For Comilla Victorians scoring have started good. Litton Das who is a star cricketer of the team have gone to the pavilion retired hurt. By the end of three overs CV have reached 24 runs losing the wicket of Kayes.

Khulna were defeated today despite giving a huge target of 211. This was a very unexpected result. Mohammad Rizwan scored 73 runs in 39 balls and Johnson Charles scored 107 runs in 56 balls for Comilla team. And because of the excellent performance of these two batsmen, the Comilla team reached the target of victory in just 18.2 overs. Khulna team would not have been defeated after giving such a big target if the Khulna bowlers could have bowled with some responsibility.
Great chase from the Comilla Victorians. We can't blame the bowlers, because there is similarity between both the innings. Khulna Tigers have lost just 2 wickets and Comilla Victorians have lost 3 wickets while reaching the target. This shows the pitch is good for batting and not for bowling. In these kind of pitches, it is very difficult for the bowlers.
