The second day's game of Australia vs South Africa test match have begun. As Warner is nearing the 50 runs, he's making runs very slowly. Rabada and Nortje have opened the session and some early wickets at this stage is a must for South Africa to keep them active on the match.
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum drop gets me worried. on: December 26, 2022, 11:14:42 PM
I am not worried to see Ethereum price, because full of crypto market is experiencing on this bearish market, so don’t need to panic about ETH, another thing is FTX exchange issue, huge number of peoples lost their funds, it’s directly affected on the market. I believe ETH because it’s strong position on the market after Bitcoin.
If you trust the coin then there is nothing to be worried , it may take time to recover but surely it will , how many times that we have seen this kind of dumping and pumping?
but in the end it is recovery that we happen to take.
trust your coin and buy more specially ethereum the most strongest and popular altcoins in crypto space for many years now.
Ethereum is the one to have the big number of projects running over the chain in terms of volume. Followed by ethereum is BSC and next is tron. Only thing that worries is the drop of more number of altcoins dependent over ethereum. Ethereum stands next to bitcoin in terms of trust, so recovery is assured. Maybe the time period for the same might get delayed.
443  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 26, 2022, 10:22:53 PM
If you are in twenties or early thirties and remain single, earn $3,000 after tax per month, you will probably save $1,000 if you, let's say, spend $500 to $800 on rental, a guest bedroom in a shared house/apartment, $500 on food, $50  on utilities, $150 on phone/internet bills, $400 on commuting costs or gas/maintainance if you have a used car, $200 on occasional entertainment or others. This $1,000 savings will allow you to invest or place a house down payment when time is ripe. Is this possible based on where you live ?
As long as you make a living, regardless of your income, if you have the highest desire to save, you will always make things possible so you can really save. That is the mindset of all successful people that have gone a long way of saving even if they are not making such huge income from their own respective jobs. But we all know saving is a must, it’s just that people are more on spending than saving, the reason why they have no left penny anymore for saving.
It is upto the user, if he/she have got the desire to save then it is really possible even when the job is paying low. Till certain generation the savings is the one that have lifted the lifestyle. Slowly this turned towards investment, but everyone wasn't ready to take the risk. This is where the investors took lead to the next level of living whereas person who just save got delayed in his transition process. However savings is the base for all sort of investment.
444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream has become a reality on: December 26, 2022, 10:15:00 PM
Over the years I've experienced a big change around the world in terms of cryptocurrency acceptance into their businesses. Unlike the scale there are more and more businesses getting added to it. This is much needed one, as the usage of cryptocurrencies were getting widespread through different sources. In specific the widespread and people taking initiative to educate the person next to him/her is found much on the African countries. Finally I'm happy for the addition of bitcoin payment and appreciate the effort.
445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 26, 2022, 10:09:47 PM
Theoretically the way I look at it is that Nadal and Djokovic have pretty much developed their
game to the max whereas the younger generation and in particular Alcaraz are still developing.

I would like to think that Alcaraz in 2023 will be much better than 2022 and should pose more
of a threat to everyone including Djokovic.
2023 will be even better for Alcaraz. Born after 2000 and reaching the No.1 position is really big thing in Tennis. When we talk of the experience from Djokovic, he have got almost double the years of Alcaraz age. So, the matches will be between the experience and the young ones. For now one match is being faced by the two. So, upcoming matches between them will have big expectation.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free crypto possible ? Or impossible? on: December 26, 2022, 03:10:22 PM
So is there any Free crypto coins tokens ?
Like Youtube is full of videos but non of them brought to me Free crypto.
Can any legit old member enlight us here from where we get the Free crypto.
We have try faucets but it's waste of time.
Free crypto possible ? Or impossible?

Not impossible, but very hard to find though lol, that's almost close to impossible. Just face the reality, there is no easy nor free money in this world, you have to work your A** off to make money. Airdrops and faucets are some ways you can earn crypto with a little effort, that's almost for free, however it's not gonna pay you like how you want it to be.

In the past faucets and airdrops gave good profit. Those are days when each and every project into the market turns to be successful. Slowly when the market widened, automatically things got to be tough. Even the airdrops had got some requirements to be fulfilled. Now too we've got more and more cryptocurrency projects reaching the market, but very few turn to be real success. To be part of those project's airdrops and promotion were really out of luck.
447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to blame on: December 26, 2022, 02:48:34 PM
Is the requirement of KYC from online casino the reason that gives birth to online casino getting regulated? I mean in the past there is no regulation thing pointed to online casino but now all eye are on them for a must regulation if they want to keep their platform alive and functioning.
All eyes are on them for the sake of their clients. In the past, several so-called online casinos have screwed their clients over and just either vanished into thin air or just locked them out, refusing to give them their winnings. The thing is, most people may have a problem with KYC because of privacy concerns but, in my opinion, it shows that a casino is actually legit.
It is a need to prove the legitimacy of the platform as well as to keep themselves away from money laundering and other illicit activities through the gambling platforms. None to be blamed, to have things working in a proper way certain things were must. Maybe at times it can be different from the expectation of the gambler, but on wider perspective it is needed one.
448  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Global Drug Conspiracy Used Binance To Launder Millions In Crypto on: December 26, 2022, 11:34:45 AM
Technology is being used at its best to keep things to be used for the good. When the same doesn't happen and we see people using it for bad, it isn't the fault of bitcoin or Binance. I find this a way drug mafia have found for the ease of transactions and trade. Amidst all sort of measures taken from Exchanges and regulatory bodies, the illicit usage through exchanges continues. This shouldn't happen, because the same will create negative opinion among the cryptocurrency users.
449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of People Will Lose Crypto in Self Custody on: December 26, 2022, 09:56:14 AM
The worst thing is probably using software wallets on desktop and mobile that are permanently online and used for just about anything you can think of. School, work, finance, leisure, games, porn, torrents, social media, etc. Unless you build your own system and use different devices for different activities, your chances of screwing up are much higher. At least use a separate computer just for your precious crypto and finances.
Using separate computer for cryptocurrency holdings and to manage finance is a better choice. This won't work with every user. Complete control in the hands of the wallet owner makes it more secure. Online wallets are always prone to breach and hacks. Self custodial wallets were easy to use once used to it. For the first time it used to be little difficult, if we weren't good into technology.
450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 26, 2022, 07:25:47 AM
South Africa first innings 189 all out. Australia completely dominating the first innings. Green took 5 wickets as an all-rounder this must be his best day. South Africa too has some of the best bowler and not it might be their turn to take wickets and destroy the Australian batting line-up. I do not think it will easy for Australian batters to chase those runs on a pitch that is bowlers friendly.
The bottom order players Verreynne and Jansen managed to score 52 and 59 runs. If not, the first innings might've ended within 150 runs. Australia is quite strong and once again Cameron Green had a good innings taking 5 wickets. Australia have started the innings and 45/1 after 12 overs with Warner and Labuschagne on the crease.
451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Problem with mass adoption of Bitcoin on: December 26, 2022, 04:59:21 AM
The biggest problem is still the government, if the government accepts it as legal and declares that bitcoin is a currency or a worth asset holding, then I believe all other problems will be solved.  Government is the biggest hurdle that bitcoin is facing, just solve the government, bitcoin will be widely accepted. But that possibility is improbable unless the government sees some interest in accepting bitcoin.
It is also possible that bitcoin will change the financial sector, or it could remain anonymous, and decentralized. While mass adoption has often been seen as the ultimate goal of crypto, we may instead be planning for a future that allows those who value privacy and security to keep their preferred cryptocurrencies. I don't see any problem here for the government but as we all know that our traditional financial sector will come up with something unique to hinder the adoption.

what hinders adoption are some of the regulations implemented by each government. Different countries will have different regulations. the current traditional financial steering wheel is also well developed, Fiat also uses digital money to make transactions faster. As well as bitcoin which is a decentralized digital asset or not regulated by anyone, it is still the second digital currency after Fiat. Adoption will continue as long as the government supports cryptocurrencies without providing strict regulation. Governments don't like privacy and security, they need to be able to figure it all out.
We can't expect every country to come up with regulations that are much supportive to the growth of cryptocurrency. Very few countries are liberal and majority haven't even reached a conclusion whether cryptocurrency usage is legal within the country or not. Adoption of bitcoin is happening good, but the same haven't brought big changes as things get accumulated in a specific region and not spread evenly. Mass adoption can be expected in the long run as it takes much time for bitcoin to  be perfectly positioned as the alternate to traditional financial system.
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Destroy Crap Altcoins? on: December 26, 2022, 03:26:46 AM
The two don't necessarily have to survive one. Bitcoin has been No. 1 from the very beginning, and no one can shake it. The altcoin team will naturally destroy it if they make enough money. They don’t want us to do anything. Their purpose is just to make money.
perfect answer and this is why we also wanted to earn from those coins , admit it but almost everyone of us tried to invest or still investing in altcoin for a sole target and that is to earn easily while Holding our Bitcoin for long term plans right?
bitcoin will always be our first choice but we should diversify and that is to put at least some part of our investments in altcoins.
The survival time of many altcoins does not exceed 24 hours. In many cases, you have no time to think and judge. You are already in the abyss, and there is no chance of rescue. This is the biggest risk for many speculators choosing altcoins.
The existence of new altcoins keeps reaching the market in different forms. From the beginning it have been getting into the market as ICO, defi, NFT and it continues. Bitcoin doesn't have anything to do with it. They get developed and comes to an end. Most of the altcoins, other than the top listed ones were used as a gamble.
453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good plan at all? on: December 26, 2022, 02:57:11 AM
Crypto gambling keeps growing faster than Fiat gambling, it's good to see that the masses now favours crypto for gambling than using Fiat but the only issue I have with crypto is the security, data breach and co so I want to know if hiding my IP on a crypto gambling website is secure? I am going with a premium sub of express VPN. If you think otherwise please tell me.
i have never tried using a VPN while gambling, but from several cases that i have seen, many crypto-gambling sites strictly prohibit their users from using VPNs to avoid cheating users.  but why do you have to use a VPN, if your country doesn't prohibit gambling? is your country not friendly to gambling?  then i think you can ask CS on the gambling site you want to play on, and ask, what VPN they recommend so that you are safe playing on their site.

Well, there are some casinos that do accept that you have and can play using the VPN, it is not a bad thing, however those casinos that do not allow it are better not to, but I think that in the future all casinos will have to accept the use of VPN, the reason is very simple, it is very difficult to say no to money, and that is something that I think few people would say, and those who would say it is because eventually they do not need it, and in any business model it can be done I think that these things should be taken into account, because a casino lives off its people and its players, and if they ban the most potential players it is something that should not be allowed, it is pure business logic.
Existence of more and more number of cryptocurrency accepted gambling platforms is found high in recent years. This itself shows how positive is the usage of the platforms. To me, it looks like the covid-19 major reason for the transition. As most users said, over time the usage of VPN won't be a problem. Over time the usage of fiat into gambling platforms might come to an end.
454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 26, 2022, 02:05:44 AM
Australia VS South Africa

The second test match between these two teams has already started. Australia is already leading the series and hopefully they will win it too. Australia won the toss and chose to bowl first and it seems the decision to bowl first is helping them as South Africa has already lost 4 wickets and have only scored 58 runs. It is very hard to defeat Australia when they are playing on thier homeground in test cricket.

The decision to bowl first have made South Africa loss early wickets. Someone to take position and lead the team is necessary for now. If not this is going to be an easy win for Australia. To defeat on the home ground is really tough, and Elgar losing the wicket is unwanted at that time when there is consecutive fall of wickets without good runs on the scoreboard.
455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If your friend would tell you this... on: December 26, 2022, 01:36:36 AM
I would be thinking twice about this, but if he guarantees that it is perfectly all right to gamble that money win or lose and he won't even blame me for my losses, then I'd be happy to play slots with it with high multiplier jackpots, among other games of course. There is also baccarat, poker, dice, and blackjack which I would also like to play. I would also be betting on some sports matches.

But more than this, I would also be definitely telling him that his 10k is more likely going to 0 than 65k, just so he's aware of what gambling is really all about.
Yes, whether it is small amount being spent or big amount we don't have any guarantee of winning. It is better to prepare his mind for the worst and feel happy if things happen good. On such condition I'll go with sports betting, because the bets placed will let me win or loss and in between I'll get the opportunity to cashout and limit the loss.
456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or altcoin? on: December 25, 2022, 08:29:36 PM
Making the entry at the right time lets the user make the best out of the investment at the shortest. Whether to go with bitcoin or with altcoins is upto the user's personal  experience. Both bitcoin and altcoin have good track record and it is one's own choice. Even in the investment it is kind of gambling, because based on the market will be profitability out of the Bitcoin/altcoin investment.
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone ever lost bitcoins before? on: December 25, 2022, 07:57:32 PM
Losing bitcoin could've happened with every user atleast once.  Most of the time this happens through scammers. When we're new to the market we easily fall to the scammers as we don't know much about the market as well as the risks. In this way I've lost bitcoin on untrusted trading platform as well as on using a wallet that scammed the funds and ran away.
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today is the story of my investment in Bitcoin on: December 25, 2022, 10:18:10 AM
If you have a stable income, I will definitely support you, because in those 2 years you can also pay off your debt with your salary. But if you just rely on bitcoin profits to pay off debt and interest to the bank then I think I would object.
We all believe that bitcoin will rise again, but there is no certainty it will rise again, and even more uncertain in the next 2 years it will increase, all just stop at predictions.
It all happened, and I hope you are ok with your choice, but I don't expect you to spread this story to make people do the same, especially newbies.
Impressed forcing what the OP did. Investments made using money borrowed from a bank are not the right choice, tantamount to causing new problems and adding to the monthly installment burden for the bank. The next question is how OP pays off the monthly loan that runs every month, because what I read he uses a long term method of investing in bitcoin. The investment he made was correct, but his method was not quite right.

There's no doubt that bitcoin is a good investment for the future, but taking the risk of lending a bank's money can only make it more difficult. I think the OP made a mistake, it's better to buy bitcoin in small amount than borrow money from the Bank. For the next month, OP will definitely be busy looking for money to cover the monthly installment costs.

The dream of owning one bitcoin is the dream of many people, and we can understand OP's desire, but actually he risked too much when borrowing a large amount of money to invest in bitcoin. Because to get profit from bitcoin, we have to calculate by year while OP's interest to pay the bank is monthly. I'm afraid given the current situation, since bitcoin has never experienced something like this before, bear season will last longer, which will definitely be bad for the OP. Hopefully, he has a backup plan for the worst if it happens.
Owning 1BTC have turned to be a big thing. In the past it looked like anyone can afford to have 1BTC, and now things have changed as the market have got widened as well as grown high in value. Op had risked, looking the market situation it is good he had made the entry at the right time. He could try to make some more earning through the regular trading practice. The interest rates on borrowed money is high, but it gives the satisfaction of making his dream come true.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should your wife or husband know your seed phrase? on: December 25, 2022, 09:48:07 AM
Me and my wife can share everything including password to my wallet and mobile banking app, but once it comes to seed phrase because of some security reasons I won't disclose it to her because most times  woman can be too fragile when it comes to security. And they can also do anything when they feel offended in other to get back at you.
I thisk is better you to let your spouse know about your Bitcoin and ecery other asset holding since you both share almost everything together, but is important to note that you will need to teach her all she beed to know about the security of the wallet phrase and how fragile it is when it gets leak out to others.

That way, your spouse will know how to protect the wallet phrase from outsiders access. Normally is not right to keep any secret from your wife and if you feel you cant trust her, their other better ways to plan things that she may not hace access to the wallet phrase but know where it is and when you are not around your Bitcoin will not just be wasted and lost due to no access.
Might say it was a must to tell them but for me, it only happens when they already understand the nature of the crypto market. What I did is that - I let my partner know about my seeds phrase but my control is still in my hands.
Teach them gradually and make your partner know the consequence if they are irresponsible with those keys/passwords. Because it was not just all about exposing them to what we do but for them to know their part as a holder, know how to take care of it, and the risk of losing those things.

Thats true, just letting them know about the seed phrase could lead to losing the funds. It is good to teach about the risks and how important is the seed phrase. Along with the same letting them know about past stories in which different people have lost huge funds. This will make them understand and remember the importance of keeping the seed phrase in a secure way.

India won the match by 3 wickets. The match viewers would've got thrilled by the performance of India batsmen, because the easy win is taken to a difficult situation and made a comeback. If Bangladesh have managed to score little more runs in its first innings, India might've suffered much to win the match as the pressure will be high. Anyhow the test series winning will given India the peace of mind.
