1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: July 28, 2022, 09:37:33 PM
I don't think banning gambling can be something that is possible,  the government benefit from tax they receive from gambling companies. It will be a difficult decision for government to think of to ban gambling instead they may try to restrict the rate at which gambling activity is been done.

The government can ban gambling but it doesn't mean they can ban people from accessing illegal gambling.  Banning gambling will give more negative result than regulating it.  If a government banne gambling the citizen who are engaging in gambling activity are now breaking the law, they might get imprisoned or put to jail where the government shoulder all the expenses of the prisoner.  The banning of gambling activities doesn't prevent people from gambling and becoming gambling addicts.
So banning gambling is a loss, but regulating is I think a win-win scenario.

Indeed, citizens who are convicted of gambling activities will be just another burden to the government whom they will be forced to get the citizen food and shelter while in prison and that means exhausting funds that could be used in another way that is more useful. Banning gambling won't be useful and won't get the citizens out of the activities nor get rid of their addiction.
People who becomes more addictive needs to be given proper care. Gamblers used to turn addictive, but very rare incidents take place for the purpose of money to gamble ending into conviction. Same as de-addiction centre for alcohol, separate centre for gambling needs to be opened. This will help gamblers realise themselves and get cure.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on Psychology & Sociology Perspectives. on: July 28, 2022, 08:30:23 PM
The psychology of gambling turns out to be a process. One thing I see big with the gamblers is the positivity with them. This is a big thing and can't be seen much with the common people. Gambling gives gamblers overjoy, but how far this proceeds is connected decide whether a person is addicted to gambling or just make statement of getting addicted.
1003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 28, 2022, 08:19:31 PM

Pakistan lost the second Test match to Sri Lanka.Due to the lack of good players in the Pakistan team, they lost this second test match.
Here I have a contradiction to your statement. I have ‍seen most of the player are very much established in Pakistan cricket but i agree they are playing in the 2nd test is really poor performance. I believe they have the power to beat Sri Lanka. They have already shown in the first Test how to grab victory. But they have to change the way they play. The bowling action needs to change as well as they have to focus their batting side.
It is the same ground in which the first test match was played. In the first match the batting and the bowling lineup performed the best. So, it was a win for Pakistan. In this match both batting and bowling lineup failed, if not this match could've been a win of small difference in the scores. Now this is a big win by 246 runs.

The legitimacy of the casino gets proven based on the steps taken to solve the accusation. If one accusation have come against the platform, sure one of the representative will respond with the proper reason. Here we can see whether the reason is perfect and is the gambler is convinced. So, according to the team's effort to end the accusation the platform gains more trust even if it isn't resolved.
1005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Terra Classic scam? on: July 25, 2022, 09:03:28 PM
It isn't a scam. The unexpected crash that happened in the market have made people not to look Terra classic anymore. Even after the massive fall it has got the market for trading. Just because it is available in the market, no one will get into it. Terra classic isn't a scam, but the fall have made some believe it to be a planned scam.
1006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My old officemate become millionaire on investing on Bitcoin on: July 25, 2022, 08:43:06 PM
That's an interesting story. Sometimes, we only need to hold and forget about our investment for a while so we'll never be tempted to sell during a crash. Bitcoin made lots of people millionaires, especially those who took the risks and trusted it. This is inspiring and the story only taught us a lesson to grab the chance of buying while the price of Bitcoin is still low so we'll never miss the chance of gaining a good profit when the bull run comes. Bitcoin will always be worth investing but we should be brave enough to hold.
With bitcoin investment we won't get tempted to sell, we all finally become prey of panic movements out of market crash. This can be overcome by having trust over the market. The story is a learning that we should not sell without reason. Everyone won't be able to hold bitcoin and forget about the investment. For the person in the story it has happened just because he forgot it, if not surely he could've used it earlier.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 25, 2022, 07:04:58 PM
They were entertaining indeed. I expected India to whitewash them, but I didn't expect them to win by such narrow margins. I feel sad for West Indies since both matches could have gone either way, but luck sided with India.

It would be crazy if the 3rd match went down to the wire as well, but I am not expecting that to happen. My prediction is that India will win comfortably in the final ODI.

Both teams played equally well in both ODIs and its fully entertaining. Second ODI was complete thriller where India won by 2 wikcets and 2 balls to spare. While India won first odi by just 3 runs. West Indies should try to win third odi to avoid white wash.
In the first ODI India scored 308 runs and West Indies came close reaching 305 runs. It was really a thriller match till the end, because West Indies have lost 6 wickets and Hosein 32(32balls), Shepherd 39(25balls) were on the crease. India somehow managed to win the match.

In the second ODI, West Indies scored 311 runs and India chased the target with two balls left. In between the match turned completely towards West Indies, and with the marvelous batting from Axar India won the match in a thrilling way.

Pakistan situation is not looking good. As expected their batters were not able to effectively utilizes the pitch or they might have forgotten how to play spin. As usual Pakistan still is the most unpredictable team in cricket for the time being. They are so dependent on their star batter & captain Babar Azam. Just check their recent records in every format of cricket, if Azam performs in a particular match the team will win it.
The opening isn't great as the previous match and the same has caused the continuous fall of wickets. By the end of day 2 Pakistan have managed to score 191 runs losing 7 wickets. By tomorrow Pakistan will try to reach 250 runs. Yes, the dependence over few players is found much with the Pakistan team. Sri Lankan bowlers have done a good job and we can't get into conclusion on the match. Anything can happen, because the previous match was expected to be a win for Sri Lanka and finally everything got changed.
1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 25, 2022, 04:37:27 AM
If it was not for Axar Patel then I think India would have lost this match. The last ball of the West Indies innings the batters did not run for a single, they should have, if they had then the end result of this match would have been different. Overall a very close and entertaining match it was. Kyle Mayers contribution as a batter and bowler did help the WI team.

I am sure India would not have won this match without Axar Patel's superb innings. India was able to win because of the extraordinary innings of 64 runs off 35 balls. India batted very slowly at the start of their innings. At the same time, they lost 3 wickets before collecting 100 runs. Iyer and Samson played well. After a long time, I saw Sanju Samson play well in an international match. If he can maintain his consistency, he can become a regular player in the Indian national team.
I am also not happy with the performance of Shubam Gill. Given this incredible opportunity he tends to get out as an ameature player. The first match he got run out because of his laid back attitude and yesterday's match he was caught because of his poor choice of shot. He is no doubt a good batter but in the last two matches he has consistently showed that Indian cannot rely on him as an opening batter.
As India have already won the series, he can be given opportunity to open the innings. Maybe when there is no winning pressure he might make a better start. If not, he could've been given chance to perform in the middle order. Based on the performance he should've been taken to the top as opener.

Yesterday it was Axar Patel and every time relying on lower order players won't get winning results. In every match based on the performance of the openers the scoring will be good as well as adds confidence to the lower bottom to perform well.

I don't understand what Kohli's performance has to do with marrying a Bollywood actress. Have we yet seen a player who played well his entire career, never having a bad performance? Or has he ever gone through a bad time? Kohli has been a very consistent player. Suddenly his performance deteriorated. I think this is because of Kohli's overconfidence. If he is more diligent then maybe he can return to form.
There is no logic to talk about Kohli and his wife. As it refers to his personal life. However, Kohli has not been able to get rhythm on the field for many days. I think he needs to break from the main squad for a few days. I think a little break may bring him back to his previous place. Just remember that performance in cricket is not always would be the same.
Agreed, there is nothing to make a connect his cricketing career and performance with his personal life. Everyone needs break, and Kohli might be feeling bad to go on a break. Because, whenever a player in good form takes a break automatically people start discussing that the specific player have been sent out in the name of injury for his bad performance. Anyhow, just on his name he have got so many chances if it is someone else surely the management would've replaced with another player.
1011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Fengshui on: July 24, 2022, 11:22:25 PM
As long  you dont hurt others or making yourself hurt or something in between two then i dont see anything wrong with it.People are just too judgemental on what others been doing.

I also don't understand why other people are taking things seriously if someone uses the art of Fengshui in gambling.

Because certain religions see Fengshui as paganism or witchcraft.  It is a forbidden art for their religion and those who prefer "salvation"  over the luck that Feng Shui gives will seriously take action against it.  While others are just aggressively imposing their belief that Feng Shui does not make sense because there is no scientific proof about it.

These are much associated with spiritual people, which means they have the better learning about it. The younger generation doesn't believe on acts that doesn't have the proof. These are well connected with cultural and traditional activity. Many follow it for a reason, but when it comes to gambling whatever you follow you're luck decides the outcome.

India vs West Indies
Venue : Queens Park, Oval
West Indies won the toss and decided to bat

West Indies - 311/6(50)
India - 312/8 (49.4)
Player of the Match - Axar Patel

Axar Patel made the right move and scored 64 runs in 34 balls. He is playing an ODI after a long break for years. He have mentioned we have played similar way on IPL. Nicholas Pooran have said the Spinner was the last focus, but we weren't able to take his wicket.
1013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it profitable to hedge/cashout bets before end of sport event? on: July 24, 2022, 10:34:51 PM
Majority prefer using the cashout option than placing bets over the opponent where the odds can be seen rising. In quite few matches I've done this not because the odds rose, just because the winning probability kept going down. Other than this I prefer placing bets above 2 and when opportunity arises the same amount is placed on the opponent on odds above 2. This will help me profit little and I never experience loss unlike the match result.
1014  Economy / Speculation / Re: Effect of Tesla bitcoin sale not significant on: July 24, 2022, 10:23:44 PM

Don't forget that he is a businessman, and he is also the richest man in the world. If he were stupid enough to sell his fortune at a loss, he wouldn't be the richest man on the planet.

Based on price averaging, it can be inferred that Tesla lost money in the most recent bitcoin sale, but we don't have specific data for their bitcoin buy orders so nothing can be confirmed.
Rather than a businessman, he's a genius guy who has the ability to make money out of anything. He had practiced that for years and stays on the top. Now too it seems like ha haven't sold out of loss. There is a news into circulation that Musk have sold 900+ million worth of bitcoin and there is no perfect data on the same. This could be a play to test the market and enter at a lower price to profit through further tweets. There is no big movement from the common people as they've well understood about Elon Musk on cryptocurrencies.
1015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finland sold 1,900 BTC, for a good cause on: July 24, 2022, 10:18:24 PM
That's a good move from Finland. Bitcoin had got some negative mark with its usage on drugs and illegal usage on darkweb. Now the same being used for a good cause will make a change people's view over bitcoin. Already bitcoin donations were received by Ukraine and this too could help them. Russia needs to rethink and end the war, because financially Ukraine is falling down regularly amidst the support received from different countries around the world.
1016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Bitcoin seem to have a high influence over other cryptocurrencies? on: July 24, 2022, 10:13:32 PM
Just think of a leader. He can be the leader of a community or country or to a group of people. Whatever it might be, we can experience the influence of the leader over those people. Why he is a leader, because he have got special qualities and characteristics that the followers doesn't have. This is where a leader differ from the follower. The same is with bitcoin, it have got its uniqueness and the influence is found over the altcoins.
1017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto in Church. on: July 23, 2022, 11:35:20 PM
This may look like weird to me but whatever since this will expand the adoption of Bitcoin once people know how to use crypto currency such as Bitcoin. Although, I'm having a doubt about the people who teach about crypto inside the church or maybe they don't just have a room to start on how to spread awareness about the crypto.
It looks like the Church is well aware about the need of cryptocurrency and the possible ways through which one can profit. It have realised the fact, if people can profit then automatically the church can benefit out of the cryptocurrency adoption. Religious institution participation into the awareness program is simply a positive approach on bitcoin usage.
1018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin recover even if it fell to one dollar? on: July 22, 2022, 10:56:19 PM
Bitcoin reaching $1 won't happen for sure, atleast to keep the network the miners need to function. The production expense have got its limits, falling down to that will cause loss to the miners. This will stop the mining process and the generated coins will be circulated and experience high demand. Even at that situation $1 is not possible as the demand will be high. Everything is just an assumption, even in that situation there is no way for $1
1019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Tips To Aide Successful Sports Betting. on: July 22, 2022, 10:45:52 PM
Beyond all this basic elements of making sports betting successful, it is a must to go with the sports in which you've got better knowledge about players as well as have more information regarding the game. This can increase the chance of winning than just going over random bets on games that we don't have much knowledge. Maybe for a while one might get lucky, but the same won't last same as we spend and win on the known games.
1020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 22, 2022, 10:41:39 PM
Both the teams have given the best. This is how West Indies give unexpected performance. The unlucky part, Shepherd and Hosein in the crease and unable to win the match. Why I say this? As the score is high there is pressure to maintain the required run rate. Failing at any over will make the team go for big shots in the falling over. In the last over 15 runs required, but they were able to score 11 runs. Other than the first ball, every ball has runs.
