141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Mass Adoption = Instant mobile transactions on: April 23, 2019, 05:51:59 PM
I was just discussing this with a friend the other day about how mass adoption of crypto will have be as easy as a venmo request and payment to someone. Right now tech is quite clunky and seeing peoples' keys can be intimidating to any new comer. What do you think will happen?

Do we have any projects in the works that help with this currently? I know Elixxir is in the works to make a messaging and payments app but they are still in alpha. I could see Lightning Network creating some sort of app
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Developer,team or community on: April 23, 2019, 05:39:24 PM
I honestly don't think you can have one without the other. they all benefit eachother in some way and make a proejct become a shared reality

looking forward to their betatestnet

I feel like anyone with a smartphone is a cell phone addict
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Track and Trace on: April 20, 2019, 12:29:02 AM
Minimizing legal and financial exposure seems the direction that crypto is moving. Companies like Ciphertrace have discovered that more than $760m in crypto was stolen from exchanges so far this year. Do we allow this to happen or do we allow companies to step in to help stop these criminal acts?
146  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to lose weight? on: April 19, 2019, 11:24:55 PM
the best thing is to move frequently. all of us are guilty for being chair locked sitting at desks. If we continue regular exercise then you'll naturally lose weight
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV gets delisted from Binance and Shapeshift! Kraken might follow. on: April 18, 2019, 06:14:20 PM
I think this is a strong example of community coming together to support the truth. The truth of  which is Craig is utllizing his claim to be Satoshi as a means to sell something to people. People need to realize there really isn't a need to know who the real Satoshi is. Let it be
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Interested in Privacy? It's time to run a Elixxir Node on: April 18, 2019, 06:00:42 PM
Over 700 applications have been submitted to help launch the Elixxir BetaNet. There are less than 48 hours to apply and support the beginning of a truly private, scalable, next generation blockchain platform.

You can apply now at https://elixxir.io/run-a-node
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV gets delisted from Binance and Shapeshift! Kraken might follow. on: April 16, 2019, 11:01:42 PM
I think it's a great move in the crypto community. it just shows the loyalty to something bigger than someone's claim to fame to get the pull of the people
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Apply to run an Elixxir Node! on: April 11, 2019, 09:01:46 PM
I just saw that Elixxir is accepting applications for the node selection process which ends soon. Is anyone else looking into applying?

151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning’s Bitcoin mainnet: the phenomenal growth on: April 09, 2019, 12:09:20 AM
It's been pretty phenomenal to watch. People were getting so excited to get involved. As crypto should be! mass adoption is near
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Protecting Metadata is True Privacy on: April 09, 2019, 12:01:47 AM
This is a great conversation to be had with all the talk about data privacy and people using it to sell. I definitely want to see more privacy platforms and even Elixxir's messaging dapp would be a great alternative to the centralized ones we currently are using
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I know the trustworthyness of a new coin? on: April 05, 2019, 06:14:36 PM
It truly comes down to the due diligence that you do. I would reccomend researching as much as you can and talk with the community. Make sure their team is legit and they have the proper funding
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Grandfather of transactional cryptography explains his new approach to Bitcoin on: April 05, 2019, 06:11:57 PM
I keep coming across the Elixxir project founded by David Chaum which has a lot of people in the crypto community pretty excited. The Elixxir platform uses mix networks and precomputation to help address speed, privacy, scalability and security.

They just shared a great video explaining the how in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G33MlD3XyKU

155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Elon Musk is launching his first ICO! on: April 03, 2019, 04:57:58 PM
What would this ICO raise for? I don't think I saw the full story.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Privacy Coins In 2019 on: April 03, 2019, 04:51:07 PM
There's another project that is going to be rolling out soon too that will compete among these other privacy coins that has a pretty bright looking future seeing that David Chaum is a founder. Elixxir is a payment and messaging app that focuses on privacy and scalability. https://elixxir.io/

They're currently in their node selection process but it's defintily a platform we should pay attention to this year.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Privacy first messaging and payments app on: April 01, 2019, 09:09:37 PM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYGwODG3JGs&t=10s

I keep seeing this project pop up especially with all the data privacy heat in the media. I think it's cool that it hides not just data but metadata as well when transacting with people
158  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Privacy-first Internet! Are we there yet? on: April 01, 2019, 08:45:24 PM
I go back and forth about whether we will actually get to it. Once someone figures a way around the system that is already in place I think people will start to migrate.

Needs to be simple and easy enough to understand at elementary level. that's truly what adoption will need to take place
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next New Cryptocurrency on: March 21, 2019, 04:26:02 AM
If it's going to be centralized I would say facebook or twitter but as far as a true decentralized platform I would go with moac.

Some days are better than others. I've learned that exercise and CBD help immensly for a long nights rest
