141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: March 16, 2023, 09:47:12 PM
I had very good experience with betfair and directbet (now defunct), and referral bonus for me can become a serious way to earn some extra money if you have a good numbers of people that can join a bookmaker/casino.
I am sorry if you had a bad experience, try to explain why and how, (maybe also where) I am pretty sure people can help to figure out a solution

Referral bonuses have its own purpose, and its not for everyone since not all are into this program and don’t have any influence on social market but of course you can still refer depends on how you will maximize this extra opportunity. You can claim your reward once you are qualified, the top site will not ruin their reputation by just not giving your referral income, its on their terms all you have to do is to read and follow it.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High gas fee for sending token is still a problem on: March 16, 2023, 02:01:04 PM
I have more interest in altcoins than bitcoin because they give more ROI, but we are not in a bull market yet and Ethereum gas fee keeps surging since yesterday, it is fair if you are sending ETH from a wallet to another but the real deal is when you plan to send tokens from a wallet to another, the gas is high and this makes me wonder what will happen in a bull market, because most of my tokens are on Erc-20 chain, what is a good way to be prepared for this?
Fees is not just affected by the current trend, it can also be affected by the traffic on that network.
This has been the problem with ETH, though they claimed that this is already solved from their updates but still many are paying huge fees with this network. If you have other option better to use it instead of paying such fees for just a small transactions. Hoping for a better solution for this problem, ETH should take action or else they'll lose more investors in the future.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Test on: March 13, 2023, 02:11:49 PM
Here’s the question for the test for easy reference, You will need to answer it on the website to see the result.
1. Do you spend lots of time thinking about gambling or planning a gambling activity?
2. Do you need to gamble with increasing amounts of money to feel excited?
3. Do you unsuccessfully try to cut back on your gambling?
4. Do you feel irritable or restless when you try to limit your gambling?
5. Do you lie to loved ones about your gambling habits?
6. Has gambling interfered with your work, school, or relationships?
7. After losing money gambling, do you often return to it with the intention to make up for the loss or break even?
Tried visiting the site but I can't find where to put my answer so maybe I can just post it here.

1. No
2. No
3. No
4. YES, its quiet boring sometimes.
5. YES, its better not for them to know or else they will judge me easily.
6. No
7. Yes, Tried this before, but not anymore.

I guess the result for me is moderate, since I gamble occasionally only.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Metalottery.Win - Crypto Lottery 100% Decentralized on: March 13, 2023, 02:04:28 PM
Welcome to the forum and it's good to see another lottery site.
I'm just wondering what is the advantage of this site compare to its competitor and do you have any plan to offer any gambling games and accept other crypto as well aside from your own token? I'm quiet curious about the future of lottery since some site are  offering this along with their other games, maybe lottery alone is not that effective. Anyway, waiting to see more updates from this site, so good luck.
145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A costly gambling mistake on: March 13, 2023, 01:54:22 PM
Make it a habit to read FAQ and TOS on any new site that you plan to try because all the information that you might need to know is there, avoiding this process might put you on bigger risk, and ignorance of the rules doesn't make you exempted from it. There are incidents before where a gambler accused the site for being not honest about their KYC platform, when it fact it is stated on their TOS so at the end, its the fault of the gambler and you can't do anything about it but to follow.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of project we shall look into to prepare for the next bull?? on: March 12, 2023, 09:51:02 PM
AI, metavers and NFTs, these are the projects that i see a lot of potential so better to develop a good one for this and maybe you might be able to attract more investors on the next bull run. If you still on a learning phase for the project you are working with, make sure you do analyze and you know how to execute your plans so investors will not be disappointed and that project can be good.
147  Economy / Economics / Re: less risk or big profit? on: March 12, 2023, 09:38:45 PM
for young people and just starting their career buying real estate is impossible, so it's better to take small investments that provide consistent profits first such as buying mutual funds, stocks, crypto in small quantities and collected.
then we can do another step after that.
This the reality and you can choose the lesser risk if you are afraid to lose that much, I prefer stocks for a lesser risk here. Honestly, my main goal is to have my own house because until now, its too impossible for me to have it but I’m hoping that with my profit in crypto, I can have such properties where i can use for generating passive income, i guess many also wanted this.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is launching a new project during bear market a good idea?? 🤔 on: March 12, 2023, 09:28:04 PM
If the project has the potential, then it will shoot anyway. And if it is an ordinary clone of something already created, then it is much more difficult. It takes time to create a project and it can be beneficial while the project is developing.
This will depend on the project and their implementation, bear market can also be a good opportunity and there are some projects who launched their project during bear market, you might not see the mass adoption right away but as I can see now, they are slowly building a good reputation and the project is really doing well despite of the bear market, if you are an investor you have to anlyze if the project is worth the risk.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What tool do you recommend for recording slot and live games for disputes? on: March 12, 2023, 09:09:16 PM
I usually used OBS for my pc and just a screen recording when I’m using my phone. This might be a little inconvenient but that’s ok, because problems or bugs can happen anytime and its not about having a trust issue with the site, I think its more about your prioritizing your own safety and having that video as your evidence can be a good one, I’m just doing this for a live bets.
150  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: March 12, 2023, 08:53:52 PM
Using AI for this purpose might not be possible because gambling works with luck and there’s no way to beat the house even if you use AI, for sure this is not allowed. I didn’t see any news yet about the site adopting AI technology as well so they can caught cheaters and frauds, this should be your worry if you will use AI because the site can ban you and your funds might be compromised.
151  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: interesado ba kayo sumali sa 🥧 1st edition - Bitcointalk Pie Baking Contest 🥧? on: March 11, 2023, 09:57:47 PM
Kung may skills lang ako sa pagbabake why not, malay mo swertehin ka sa pagsali dito pero kung binigyan nila ng other option like crafting using other raw materials just like on a pumpkin contest, I think it can be more attractive.

Let’s just see nalang kung sino ang mananalo, pero hopefully makakita tayo ng maraming pinoy participants so they can cheer them and support them as well.
152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will Gambling Legalization Reduce Gambling Rings? on: March 11, 2023, 09:47:18 PM
It can reduce the illegal activities once the law enforcement hardly implement this one because if its just a law, many can still abuse that and continue their illegal activities. Rewarding those who will report illegal activities can also be a big help because for sure many will get attracted to that reward money.

Anyway, gambling is also legal in my country yet the law enforcement is not that strict because you can still gamble illegal games, legally because of our old tradition during wake.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happening with USDC? on: March 11, 2023, 09:34:30 PM
Not really sure how all these stable coins work but how did a stable coin that is supposed to be equal to one US Dollar go down in price? Huh
It was a domino effect, with their partnership with the other projects which is currently having a problem. Worry no more because the currency price is already at $.96 which i think is already a good and might be back to be more stable in the coming days. I know the trauma of many because of what happened to UST, but I think the situation of USDC is quiet different, they are more organized compared to UST.
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Is for the strong. on: March 11, 2023, 09:19:55 PM
Gambling is like shopping for strong: money lost, and what you achieve is rarely definitely worth it, but you still like the process... I also had times when I lost quite a sum due to gambling, so I changed tactics upon my betting. Now I dont stake much money, while it is not easy to control the monety to bet...
There’s a lot of gamblers who consider this as for fun only and that can be consider as a strong approach when it comes to gambling since you are able to control your emotion above all. Many are strong enough to overcome this kind of addiction while some are not so I believe, the way you handle this should be more responsible enough not to get addicted, if you have weak self-control that can cause problem to you later on.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about stop gambling services issued by gambling platforms? on: March 11, 2023, 09:05:52 PM
Lots of people are have gambling addiction problem, some of them start gambling just for fun, but at the end they always end up being addicted and its always difficult for addicted gamblers to stop gambling. I believe gambling site  won't implement the kind of futures which you just mentioned, gambling site are making there money and what they even want is that there customers should be losing so that they will be making money, and even with the service addicted gambler will still find it very difficult to stop gambling, and the more you lose money, the more gambling sites are making money.
Some site are concern about the well-being of their players, and some have this kind of feature called responsible gambler, so I think some site are not that greedy because of they let their players to get more addicted, at the end they are still the one to be affected on this as well. You can ask the site to exclude you already and I think this is already happening on many site depends on how you will ask this to them.
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too harsh on user? on: March 10, 2023, 09:59:05 PM
They will surely ask for an enhanced verification which means a higher level of KYC procedure.
It could be a video document that proves your identity and your place at the same time with other accounts that suspected your alternate account. Sometimes we think that a casino has this loophole and a way of scamming people, but if you know how to deal with it there is no problem --if there is, that is a scam casino we could not change that behavior.
That action could be a red flag to a specific site so having this enhanced KYC is necessary just to protect the interest of both parties.
You should not be intimidated by this if you are not doing anything illegal, and you can explain your side to them since having multiple IP address are common if you are using different connections. I just don't understand to the word confiscating, is your friend OP can't access his account anymore?
157  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Anu ang natutunan ko sa pagsipa at pagbagsak ng presyo ng bitcoin at altcoin? on: March 10, 2023, 09:49:04 PM
Hinde naten maiiwasan na isipin kung ano ba ang mangyayare sa market especially kapag bumabagsak na ito, some are just doing their strategy accurately especially sa pag follow ng cut-loss level nila, though yung iba is talagang nagbebenta out of panic which is hinde dapat.

Marame na akong natutunan and sa tingin ko, ang mahalaga is matutunan mo kung paano magcontrol ng emotion at kung paano maganalysis ng tama kase hinde naman lahat ng nababasa naten ay totoo, it is still advisable to do your own research. Nasa side ako nung mga bumili ng mas marami during the drop, dito mo malalaman kung sino ba talaga ang nakakaalam ng crypto at alam kung paano mag take advantage.
158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you Bet on a Fight that is Scripted? on: March 10, 2023, 09:37:54 PM
This doesn't in any way look viable. There's no way you can keep the outcome of the match from leaking. Even information from organizations and agencies that their M.O. is secrecy still gets leaked. There are too many loopholes to exploit in this. The outcome of the match is known in the organization weeks or days to the match. You cant keep these kind of things a secret for that long, it would certainly come out to the public one way or the other. Lets assume they can contain it somehow and makes sure it doesn't leak, how do the handle the people in the organization that have access to this information? They would definitely want to exploit the opportunity and make the most out of it.

Well the point is that some 3rd party are going to handle the outcome of the match in secrecy and most likely the people involved are going to sign NDA to prevent anything from leaking into the public.

Nevertheless, as others have said, when we are young, we love WWF (as it was known before), and we become fans of it and it become a part of our childhold days. But I will not going to bet on the fight that is scripted though. Might as well put my money on other sports betting.
Too sad to know that our favorite WWE is scripted even without any official statement about this, rumors seems more reliable and true. So probably every fighter have signed the NDA or else that show was ruined already, and viewers might not watch it anymore. I also not prefer to bet on a fight light this, where the opposite result can happen any time, even if you have a trusted insider, it is still risky to follow that signal not unless you'll bet with his money as well.
159  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin fall below $20000 , it's a messy thread. on: March 10, 2023, 08:52:52 PM
The support level has been broke, and its time now for a down trend which I think a chance to go lower than $19k if worst will continue to happen. This is predicted already the moment we miss the chance for a breakout, well this is how the market works and its up to you on how you will react on this kind of trend. Its a good time now to accumulate, but for now better to wait for the real bottom instead of catching the fallen price.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Prosecutors seize SBF’s $50M deposit to small bank on: March 09, 2023, 09:59:07 PM
The main concern I have about this SBF saga is how long it would take for users to get their funds back from the exchange, look at MGOX, a lot of people in the space now do not even know about the exchange and the claims have been dragging on for years and I read today it has been moved again to April. I have no doubt that users will likely get up to $0.50 per Dollar but there is time value for money.
It will take years before they finally give out the money to the right owners even if they are already get a lot of funds back. Its good to see that the government is doing their best to make SBF pay for what he have done, and its good to read some news as well about the others who are involve to this that they will cooperate agains SBF. MGOX took years as well, so don’t expect an easy trial for FTX.
