141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency? on: October 26, 2017, 07:23:35 PM
I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made. Honestly most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money. The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?
Unlike all the other cryptocurrency, bitcoin is well known with its volatility and the changes of value of it is what attracts more and more investors. Bitcoin is also known to be a global currency which means it sets no boundaries among every nation when it comes to the use of it. It just simply show how bitcoin is getting more and more popular each day because of the people who had experienced the good deeds of bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a currency for freedom, so no one can controls or own this currency like FIAT owned by the government and the international banking system. I think if we change to using Bitcoin for our life, it can helps our life become freedom instead of depend on the government.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves hold for longterm Good or Not? on: October 26, 2017, 07:17:11 PM
Dear friends,

I have 2 BTC - it's all my money.
Should i buy and hold Waves coin for longterm (end of 2017)
Thank you so much

honestly, I am not so sure if waves is a good long-term hold especially with Russia cracking down very hard on cryptocurrencies at the moment. Russia and China are not good for this space and waves are based in Russia so it might face some regulatory problems.
Waves has been silent for these past months and still stable, i think its not gpod to wait for waves because there are many much opportunities in other altcoins that will give you a good profit than the waves in a short time, more profit etc.
Waves doesn't stable its value. It has dumped in the Bitcoin rates and you can see from more than 100,000 satoshi for 1 Waves, current price is just 50,000 - 60,000 satoshi for each, a half of old price in last month.
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin wallet be hacked by hackers? on: October 26, 2017, 07:13:59 PM
can they hack into our wallet. There are many professional hackers out there. What are the chances? Also what is the safest way to safeguard ourself?

Yes ofcourse. As long as the hacker is a well-trained expert he can somehow hack any wallet they wanted to hack. But I believe that any wallet that we have today is have a well secured so that eventhough experts hacker cannot go into it so that our money will be saved in terms of putting it in the wallet.
No one can hacking Bitcoin wallet, because every day, the developer of Bitcoin always find the bugs and error of their wallet. Unless, your computer can hacking by hacker, you will lose your Bitcoin as long as hacker has the private key of your Bitcoin wallet.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Change - The First Decentralysed Crypto Bank [ICO September 16th] on: October 26, 2017, 07:06:24 PM
The price is abnormally low, it is 30% of ICO price?  Huh  AFAIK, the bounty campaign is not distributing any coin, so it is not their dumping on the market. Only panic sellers on the exchanges for fiat money.

maybe the price of btc is up and many of altcoin is down
its better to hold maybe someday the price is up. hoped
1. Maybe the panic seller are newbie after saw the price of Bitcoin increased and dumped made them worry the future of cryptocurrency and this token.
2. Those people are the whale or someone want to dump the price of this token and create panic, because there is no reason makes they sell their token with loss. Unless they have a purpose.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the 3 thing you look for in an ICO? on: October 26, 2017, 07:03:01 PM
If you are totally new to ICOs I recommend the following guide as a starting point:

https://coinclarity.com/ico-101/

I'm going to be writing my own personal guide to ICO investing, probably a bit lengthier than the one listed above, having followed the phenomena since 2014.

If I had to limit the criteria to 3 things, I would have to make some sweeping, all-encompassing generalizations:

1. What is the ICO attempting to accomplish that no other project before it has? How original is the idea? Is there a sincere reason why this project could be profitable and successful, or is it just a copycat / clone of another, previously successful idea?

2. Do a gut check on the legitimacy of the ICO. What do your instincts tell you about how sincere the ICO team actually is? Is there a whitepaper, a public dev team, a decent website and decent community interaction?

3. Who is backing or supporting this ICO? Does it have any notable investors backing it, preferably ones with a demonstrable success record? Is it just trying to raise funds from an anonymous public or are there any other companies / individuals signing their support for it?

This is just a summation of about 10-15 different things I research before investing in an ICO.

Thank you for this ! I am new and these kind of posts help a lot - will check your website as well. Great. Especially the third point seems to make a lot of sense to me. It seems as when the projects do not only have the backing of participants from the ICO world, but also the backing of people from the underlying industry, there is a real connection between the two sometimes which can be very good.

Well, that's interesting ideas and as a newbie I have to read very carefully the details of those ICO platforms which been presented in the bounties of altcoins. Most importantly the reputation of the manager can give us an assurance to trust the project, like checking the spreadsheet of the campaign so you can determine how promising that ico been raised to generate good profit. But, we must be more vigilant as always because an ICO doesn't mean successful all the time, there maybe scenario that it will fail like from previous other projects who failed.
The manager has nothing to do with the success of the ICO but yet hes the one who do handle on such marketing stuff been required for him to do on such project. If we do really look up for the ratio on success and failed ICO or projects we would really able to see that Fails is more than on success. This is the reason why we should really be keen on selecting projects on which we would decide to invest on to our money.Usually I do look up for its project potential like usage/real life benfits, next developers experience and transparency.
The manager also as us, they don't know the future of the ICO they are promoting. Therefore, the success of the ICO is depends on the buyer, it isn't depend on the worker or the manager bounty campaign.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund [$53 Million] - Decentralized Mobile Gaming Solutions on: October 26, 2017, 06:48:26 PM
Did they started to spend/selling the 50 million raised?

The 50 million what they collected is a lot more worth atm.
Of course they spend some of that funds. Developers don't work for free.
MobileGo's developers still working, I have see they still update announcement every month. MobileGo and GameCredit are partner, so I think this project for long term will be good than for short term. Of course, current price of this token can make some investors disappointed.
147  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop after fork 25th on: October 25, 2017, 04:46:05 PM
There is another fork just a month after 25th. Unless you are a day trader, i wouldn't worry much about it. Just stick with your Bitcoins and make sure to keep them safe. I think 2018 will be a great year for Bitcoin. There was always a thread popping up on the forums asking whether or not BTC will see 10k one day. Today, we ask "when" Bitcoin will se 10k. I guess i kind of made my point.   Wink
It was not long ago when people were wondering if we were going to see bitcoin at 1000 dollars ever again and now we are wondering when we are going to reach 10000 dollars is funny how things can change so fast in less than a year and the best part is that bitcoin still has a long way to go since this year has not ended, I will not be surprised if we saw bitcoin above 8000 before the end of the year.
And I would not be surprised if I saw the Bitcoin price go back to $4,000 before increase and reach to $8,000 as your said. But in my opinion, at least this target need to wait until next year, isn't before the end of this year Cheesy
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: October 25, 2017, 04:05:59 PM
What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked
I believe that it can't make money disappear. First reason is that money or regular currency is supported by governments of different countries unlike Bitcoin which is decentralized. Second, Bitcoin is a digital currency and still not that secured since it is an open source system. Lastly, both are different currencies and they have different functions not only as a currency.
Exactly, you are right. Bitcoin is not only a currency as FIAT, Bitcoin is still an asset and a tool helps us to transfer money internationally. Beside that, Bitcoin also can be using for many purposes about make money, especially is trading.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: October 22, 2017, 05:10:02 AM
I hold my bitcoins online at Coinbase. Even seems not secure in the first view this is only an impression and not a fact. Seems that the online wallet are the less secure but if read all the data given about this matter offered by Coin base understand the right meaning that the word "secure" has for this business. I am writing some. First must be told (even this has nothing to do with the security but with your pocket) all the fee-s of the sent of bitcoin are paid from Coin base.
Honestly, I advise you should to use other online wallet instead of Coinbase. Although Coinbase wallet has not about security our money, but when you need to withdraw your Bitcoin when Bitcoin has strong volatility in the market, that is the time you usually can not withdraw your money and pending until the price of Bitcoin stable. It is just my experience used this wallet in one year, therefore I do not know this wallet has solve this issue or not, but I think my said can help you consider.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: October 20, 2017, 07:12:34 AM
We all know that bitcoin is a crypto currency and we can use it online or digital payment. Perhaps, it is a kind of money i think because of some characteristic of money that bitcoin have. otherwise we can use bitcoin like what money can do in some cases. But if we compare it physically, big description of the two are difference.
Bitcoin is money and nothing can change that but the special thing in bitcoin that the physical money doesn't have is the volatility of the bitcoin because of the volatility the price of bitcoin is keep going up and it is why we should invest a little bit of our money in bitcoin to earn some more money and we should have a great knowledge in financial literacy to balance things.
In present, Bitcoin look like as an asset or stock for trade and investment than paper money as Dollar or other currencies on the world. However, you can not know anything has the price fluctuation strongly as Bitcoin. That is the difference between Bitcoin with others.
151  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: October 20, 2017, 06:28:30 AM
think this is a hard thing happened, many countries banned bitcoin whereas all countries make the dollar as the foreign exchange size and wealth. of course it took a longer time for at least 50 years to be able to replace the dollar.
I think for the time being it is not possible but in the future may bitcoin take the place of dollar. Dollar in this day holds the whole market all over the world and all the people who need to travel or buy something even bitcoin he will change his local money in dollar and then he can use it throughout the world. So we can see the hold of dollar in the markets even in the local markets.
Dollar can make Bitcoin disappear in someday, but I do not think Bitcoin has power to against the most popular currency on worldwide as Dollar. Bitcoin is just a new asset, there are have many people still do not know it today. So, at least 10 years Bitcoin still can not against Dollar.
152  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make money only with BTC on: October 20, 2017, 06:18:52 AM
I hear many saying they don't mess with altcoins...how do you make money with btc?

Just buy the dips, sell for usd (or other fiat), then buy back in...rinse and repeat?

I'm not talking about long term holding but about how to build up your bitcoin without touching alts.

Thanks

Try to hold in your wallet the bitcoins that you have. Joined signature campaign here in the forum that earns bitcoins and then apply for translation also that earn bitcoins too. There are a lot of things to do that really earns bitcoins, do a research but if you want easy things if you have money buy more bitcoins and hold it for a long time.
Are you sure have profits after hold Bitcoin in long time? No one can be sure that, so you should not to have this thought and put a lot of money to buy Bitcoin and just hold it for a long time and wait the price of Bitcoin increases. Bitcoin is not an asset always increases, it is just a temporary trend.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Banks fear cryptocurrency on: October 20, 2017, 06:13:44 AM
Sure, cryptos do pose some threat as the market cap is continuously growing. I think some major banks have stopped worrying and instead are now trying to compete. The whole "scare" tactic thing didn't work, so now they probably have to improvise and adopt it instead, otherwise, it'll be another "Kodak" movement.,

this wil also depend on the country polices on the cryptocurrency,if the counrty polcies parment banks  to involve in cryptocurreny transactions maybe at there own risk ,they may take the option of investing
Of course, they have invested into the cryptocurrency market. But in someday, when they completed the currency used Blockchain technology, I do not think they still invest into this market, that is the time transfer capital to new currency.
154  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Patience and Holding on: October 20, 2017, 06:11:15 AM
Ive been wrong that i withdraw all my earnings on trading ..
i learned that ..must have patience in holding then exchanging it times 10 from the day I bought my alts..
hmm .. too bad for me now bitcoins is still aiming high ..

Patience is vital in this kind of business, just like trading in fiat currency wherr you buy low and sell high. Need not to worry about what you have done in the past, whats important is you learned the aspects of trading alts to bitcoin.

It's really important in trading and in just about everything in life that you let the past go. Make your mistakes, learn from them, but then forget about them and focus on the next decision. If you continue to regret past mistakes you will always struggle to make correct decisions in the future for fear of making a mistake again.
It is all about learning from our mistakes and not letting it take the best of us but rather make the best out of us. There is no one who has not made mistake, but it is how you react to them that matters. Positively or negatively, the choice will always be yours and no one can make that decision for you.

Very true and I do agree with all of it.
We dont need others to make the decisions. Some just do it so they can blame someone else. That is just for cowards.
If you know what you are doing then why believe the prediction of other people.
Make your own predictions and somehow you will also learn from it.
As one is investing into bitcoin he must have knowledge to build his own strategy and relying on other will met the loss and those who let other to decide their fate will never get enough piece of profit so the one who is investing he must be confident to take decision at his own because he know his good and bad in very better way so decide at your own analysis,
Do you want to give the permission use your money to someone? You are using your money to investing and trading, you must to know no one has permission uses your money, but when you invest in any field by advised of someone, you are giving your money for them replaced you to decide.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🌟🌟 Datum - Unlock the Bln $$ Data Economy - ICO 29th October - 🌟🌟 on: October 19, 2017, 04:52:34 AM

Ive found this very well opinionated article; https://thenextweb.com/contributors/2017/10/17/watch-google-blockchain-will-set-us-free-data-tyranny/
''Watch out Google! Blockchain will set us free from data tyranny''

I have studied the past yearly rapport of Alphabet inc (google), Their buseniss model is based mostly on advertisement. About 90% income is through that and they are expecting massive growth in this field.
The expectation of growth is not because they think they will get more users. But the way they are paid are Pay Per view (PPV) and Pay per click (PPC). When data analyse algorithms get better, they can market
their visitors better so they will click more on adds.

If Datum can prevent this it would be HUGE! Even if they can take some power away from google in this situation its already a win.

Maybe google try to buyout datum in some time later, and if something like that happens I can't imagine what will happen to the price of tokens Cheesy

Maybe google will start buying data from datum lol

But googles greatest power is to collect data through your search history etc, or am I wrong? As long as most people use google as the main search engine google will lose no power at all.

If google gets threatened it will buy out datum, it won't start buying its product. If that happens prices might shoot up big time
Honestly, if Google and Facebook can gets threatened by someone, I never think Google and Facebook are largest advertisers on the world at now. Datum can compete with Google and Facebook in future, but want to make Google buy data from Datum, I think it never happen.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EON] EXSCUDO - ICO successfully finished! on: October 19, 2017, 04:46:36 AM
Hello, when Exscudo (EON) listed in exchange ?
Hopefully Price EON can up high.

Hi! We are launching our own exchange, trading starts in Q1 2018 Smiley

thanks for the confirmation, i am really happy that you are taking time to make the perfect product !

that's great ,looking forward to Q1 of 2018, i sure official is working hard backgroud on this project ,that's enough for me .
Maybe, we will see a QTUM version 2.0 in next year. To be honest, only Exscudo can gives me update every week and detail instead of other shit projects in this year. Therefore, if an ICO project can succeed has started from 2017 and succeed in 2018, I think Exscudo will be first project Smiley.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yet another ICO ban, this time probably from Japan :( on: October 19, 2017, 04:35:12 AM
Ico's should be well regulated , Some projects are scam and should be banned from collecting money from investors. Shitcoins and tokens are sprouting almost everyday to collect Millions of dollars then sadly turned out to be scam.
A momentary movement will be end soon, I do not think we will see many ICO projects in next year. The government will help us solve and remove all shit, ponzi projects. The SEC, China, South Korea and the rumor about Japanese government proved they do not ignore this field.
158  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: October 19, 2017, 04:31:58 AM
I think in the presence of bitcoin will reduce unemployment, because searching for bitcoin also requires hard work and creativity, and competitiveness in bitcoin is also high almost similar to work in the real world

What is your opinion this time?

It depends on the country if bitcoin is too mainstream then everyone will grasp their chance to earn bitcoins as much as possible and it will really reduce the unemployment rate of the country since the salary and payouts of every bounty campaigns is similar and it is easier to work at home.
It is not easy as your thought. Currently, we are just have small community workers at here, but the jobs as signature campaign can not supply all for all members. A normal campaign usually limits ~30-50 members, therefore, many members join to ICO bounty campaign instead of Bitcoin. But the fact, bounty campaign has high risk than signature campaign a lot.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: October 19, 2017, 04:29:24 AM
With all the regulation news surrounding Bitcoin recently and governments cracking down on crypto, does UTRUST have any idea how to deal with tax on payments?

For example, depending on the location, transactions between customers and businesses are subject to value added tax or sales tax.

The seller will receive payments in fiat money. I think the taxation will be in the usual way. If he received in the crypto currency, then there would be difficulties.

If you are a business selling goods or services to customers you have to charge VAT or sales tax. No way around that. UTRUST has to provide the features to manage tax, both on the checkout page for customers and in the backend for businesses. For example VAT receipts, VAT ID for business customers, and tax reports.

Taxes can be so annoying - there's so much bureaucracy that one person usually can't handle this by himself and he needs accountant to run his business
I think it is possible, UTRUST can supply this function for business, as long as other users have not any problem about the tax because this function just helps business customers manage their services. A platform wants to overpass Paypal really needs has this function.
160  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sold my Bitcoin today on: October 19, 2017, 04:13:26 AM
I sold my bitcoin today. I think the price jumped too much too fast. My opinion is that it will drop below 5,000 soon and in that case I will buy back again because i expect bitcoin to increase significantly in the long term.
What do you think??
Good move by you which is normal thing to do specially if you are an active day trader which the peak of 5.8k usd would be the sweet spot to sell out those bitcoins we do have and we did actually see the price did dip again on 5.1 and now it starts to climb up on 5.5k usd as of writing which means it would really be an easy money if you did able to rise on those waves.
Current price of Bitcoin still 2 two scenario. First, it is just a bullish recover price trap and want to make the traders think it has bounce again. Of course, if it is really a trap, you will loss your money if buying now. Second, it is really bounce and will move to $6,000 and breakout to new AHT price.
