141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / China will ban BTC exhangers for good on: January 16, 2018, 01:35:18 PM
A senior Chinese central banker says authorities will ban centralized trading of virtual currencies as well as individuals and businesses that provide related services.

Authorities will also block domestic and foreign websites and close mobile apps that provide centralized virtual currency trading services to Chinese users, and sanction platforms that provide virtual currency payment services.

So, bye-bye BTC in China.   Cheesy

I think indonesia does not banned bitcoin, it's just prohibiting transactions using bitcoin and not forbid to own or collect bitcoin..

how can you collect if you cannot buy? Smiley
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin banned on: January 13, 2018, 07:21:37 PM
indonesian goverment banned bitcoin, affect the bitcoin price of the world ?
\
If cryptocurrency will work in Russia, China, USA, Japan and Europe, like now - cryptocurrency will never die.

Indonesia is simply not large enough to affect bitcoin's price somehow. I think if whole Europe banned bitcoin then we would see price's difference, but not now... It is silly that they are banning bitcoins though. Is there any reason why?

as long as Bitfinex through Tether are pumping fake money into BTC or other e-currencies, you won't see any  price's difference.

why do you use unlicensed exchangers if you don't like the stress? Smiley

Kraken and many other shit exchangers do not offer any protection. Why do you whine on forums when you know very well what kind of website you are using?

again, i am posting few real exchangers :

http://www.avatrade.com/forex/cryptocurrencies/bitcoin

https://www.plus500.com/

https://www.ig.com

www.fxcm.com/

Do you ever hear about any problems with the "trading engine"? Smiley

All of these are trading e-currencies.

Really? Just asking, last time I checked at least avatrade and plus500 just offered CFDs, which is an investing game tracking prices, similar to gambling.

please check again. also, try https://www.forex.com/en-us/markets/bitcoin-futures-trading

let's not forget that Kraken is based in USA and they have NO financial license. They are not a registered MSB in any state.

All of these are trading e-currencies too.

People dont realize these exchanges have millions of members, if everyone contacts there support they will have a million messages. 24 hours is not a big deal, they have a lot of work keeping the maintenance high. I wouldn't worry about it.

"24 hours is not a big deal".. are you out of your mind??? For an exchange to go down without notice in the middle of week for even couple of hours IS A VERY BIG DEAL, let alone 24 hours!!!

why would you use an UNLICENSED exchanger when you have regulated ones?  Smiley

149  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange with USD EUR GBP JPY CAD BTC LTC XRP NMC XDG STR ETH on: January 02, 2018, 04:37:15 PM
Just did a little test for the "fun" of it to put the user experience in numbers

This horse excrement of a so called trading platform is currently at an error rate for placing orders of roughly 94%.

This is just as expected. Still the same fraudulent service as usual.

Seriously, we wouldn't be surprised if there is violence towards Kraken managers and/or employees soon by some frustrated user. And even though we do not like violence and ask everyone to refrain from it, it would be well deserved.

why do you continue to use a such exchanger? why don't you test it first? Smiley

why dont' use  http://www.avatrade.com/forex/cryptocurrencies  or  https://www.plus500.com/ ?  real forex exchangers. you won't ever face any issue.

I keep seeing people complaining about exchangers but they are keep using them while there are alternatives.

We still have a few funds there because they were not worth transferring (YET). Which puts us in position to run a small test now and then. However, if you would have read one post before, then it would have been clear that we do not trade there anymore except for these tests. Anyone wanting advise where to trade (in our opinion) can send a personal message. Even though trading on these alternatives, we are not going to do promotion work for those in this thread.

Why not use those exchanges which you are constantly promoting? Maybe it has something to do with their fee / cost structure. I.e., having to pay when not using the platform as is the case for plus500. And being a Forex exchange does not necessarily make them more trustworthy and/or transparent.

You said that you lost money(aprox 50K) because of the Kraken platform but you are not willing to pay a little bit more in order to get real forex services. Smiley Ok then.... Grin.

Those exchangers are licensed, have REAL offices around the world, phone support. How cannot they be more trustworthy than Kraken, Bitfinex or another shit promoted on this forum?

Hello Bitcointalk Community,
how much time does it take for an account to reach Tier 3 verification?
I have uploaded documents on 19th of December, and got only Tier 2 level and my documents are still under review. I have deposited Euros to my account and the transfer is on hold as well. I have tried contacting Kraken support and wrote several emails, sadly with no answer at all.. It took more then 2 weeks already, I cannot use my money, nor I receive any information from Kraken. It's a bit scary seeing some other exchanges collapsing..
What do you guys think is Kraken still trustworthy?

BTW, my support ticket is 1110363

get out your money from this exchanger and use of these :

https://www.torproject.org/donate/donate-options.html.en

(Due to the current state of the Bitcoin market, our payment processor, Bitpay, will not allow us to accept donations of less than 100 USD. However, we can also accept donations, including smaller donations, through Bitcoin Cash)    Cheesy
It is sad but that is the current state of the bitcoin network, any payment below 100 dollars is no longer worth to make with bitcoin, that is why it is getting harder and harder to make business for people in the forum that are selling their digital products.

use paypal  Smiley
154  Economy / Exchanges / Re: About Bitfinex FRAUD on: December 29, 2017, 09:53:30 PM
Looks like Tether got hacked again, negative 99m of shareholder equity    LOL

Apparently they forgot to fake their transparency page after printing 100 million today.

They will probably say it was a glitch since the money is already at Bitfinex wallet, so can't blame hacking this time.

quite the successful business they have going on there! investors are just tripping over each other to send them real, squeaky clean USD in exchange for Tethers. LOL

Conclusion : Bitfinex = Tether = criminals
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forbes Magazine calls Bitcoin a "Great Scam" on: December 29, 2017, 09:42:07 PM
The author already indicated that Bitcoin is not a scam. Instead, it was being sold more of a scam. And I have to agree with his article, as it was clearly on point. He just laid out the truth behind the business of Bitcoin or would I rather say digital currencies. In reality, majority of the general public are not really aware what was the reason behind all current events that is happening with the digital economy. 'Scammers' continue to lure unsuspecting people because of its heralded market value. As an ambitious person, there's a huge possibility that they will fall on what was handed (spoonfed) to them, as most of us would want to make a fortune out of a small value of investment. At the end of the day, these so called 'Scammers' are getting physical money, with a stable value that you can hold and control for a long period of time while the price stays the same. Wherein, Bitcoin is just an infinite number created from a source code with no assurance or stable price which one day might be diminished.

Exactly right! I was wondering if someone was going to give an honest appraisal of the article instead of just doing what the Legendary staff members want people to do and: “suggest no one read this article, you will be wasting your time.” I would be embarrassed to be a supposedly respected staff member of this forum and give that kind of self serving advice to forum visitors. Shame on you. Let people find out for themselves.

it seams that they want to create a cult called, BTC. you cannot say anything with a relative negativity against BTC because you are called, FUD-er, troll and so on.... Smiley

this article has common sense and it says the truth.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forbes Magazine calls Bitcoin a "Great Scam" on: December 29, 2017, 03:55:45 PM
It makes sense since Forbes has the back of wealthy people who have a lot at stake in the current financial system. Of course they don't want Bitcoin to replace the old system since they would lose tremendously

is it not the BTC media propaganda (like Coindesk, Cointelegraph and so on) , backed  of wealthy people who have a lot at stake in the current BTC market? Smiley  It's the same shit.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forbes Magazine calls Bitcoin a "Great Scam" on: December 29, 2017, 03:41:26 PM
I think the writer of the article has a one-sided look at bitcoin. While many industries are adopting blockchain technology and typically bitcoin, the leading economics magazine claims that bitcoin is a scam. I do not think that a scam like bitcoin can last for so many years, I feel that the newspaper is quite funny when it comes to that.

what industries adopt bitcoin? I only see big companies who dumped BTC, like Steam. Smiley

don't make confusion between a data base (blockchain) technology and Bitcoin.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forbes Magazine calls Bitcoin a "Great Scam" on: December 29, 2017, 11:58:42 AM
For almost 2 decades now they still want to believe bitcoin is a scam? How come a currency become a scam when in fact you don't need to put any amount of capital for you to earn bitcoin? I started doing signatire campaigns and earn well from this forum and never did I use any of my personal money to invest in bitcoin whatever I earn from campaigns are the one I use in holding or investment so what's the scam there? I think these people really don't have the knowledge about bitcoin

you should read the article again... Smiley
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forbes Magazine calls Bitcoin a "Great Scam" on: December 29, 2017, 11:33:23 AM
Well, think that was a pretty accurate view of the current bitcon market.

Didn't  even have to mention the lack of scaling/fees to prove his point either.

Agree! Those who are blaiming the author, must read the article for 2-3 times.

"The scam in Bitcoin is in talking average man-on-the-street investors into investing in Bitcoin by intentionally obfuscating what it really is, just a number, into some super-sophisticated investment by throwing out the technical verbiage that surrounds cybercurrencies, such as Blockchain technology and peer-to-peer servers."

or

There is also an old investment adage to the effect that "the quickest way to lose money is to invest in something which is already hot."   The idea there is that the folks who are going to profit have already made their money investing, and now are just looking for suckers to unload their investment on.

If someone is not brainwashed or it's not part of the cult, called BTC, then he can easy understand the whole image. Smiley
