141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin transactions fees gone high and will be be increasing day by day? on: April 21, 2024, 07:48:53 PM
There are lots of runes currently still in the minting process that cause these transaction fees to still be at a high level.

Check all runes that are still in the minting process here https://ordiscan.com/runes
Once the minting process of most of the runes there is done expect transaction fees to drop.
142  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Can a Antminer S3 still mine any pool in 2024? For educational use on: April 21, 2024, 07:28:24 PM
Can you able to access the dashboard?
Would you mind sharing the kernel logs here so that we can review what caused this problem?

What I would like you to try is to try to run the unit with one hashboard and test them one by one.

143  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19 HW errors on: April 21, 2024, 07:08:10 PM
[2024-04-21 19:00:00] ASIC ID: **********, HW error count: 100
[2024-04-21 19:00:01] ASIC ID: **********, HW error count: 150
[2024-04-21 19:00:03] ASIC ID: **********, HW error count: 200

I am getting these errors in the kernel logs.

All I can see are HW error count sorry but we can't see any hints on those logs you need to copy all the logs and post them here.

A possible cause of this issue might be overheating you can try to run the unit at a low power mode or increase the fan speed and let us see if it reduces the hardware error count try this on a different pool you can try it on ckpool solo or in ViaBTC.
144  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with AI on: April 20, 2024, 09:10:57 PM
I never heard of any legit AI trading bot nowadays except if you trading on legit exchanges but the site you mention seems pretty new to me.
And you shouldn't deal with anyone outside of exchanges because they already have these AI trading bots meaning you can use the AI trading bots from exchanges most of the well-known exchanges like Binance have these features so that site you mention might be a scam I tried to search those keywords in Google I could even find this site so for me, you already lost your €100 to an unknown website.

Next time before you invest in a site that you didn't know ask it first here on the forum because that's the risky way to invest without DYOR and ask trusted forum members before you invest.
145  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 1166pro always restarting on: April 20, 2024, 07:35:53 PM
I removed the fans because it was way too loud, it's a common "mod" to attach a shroud and remove the fans. I've used the 8" fan on various antminers and haven't had issues. I've heard the big fans actually flow more air cfm than the stock fans. On the dashboard it shows temps in the mid 50's which seems fine and is cooler than the stock fans, I remember it being in the low 70's before

Well, the logs say it is overheating it's above 85c which should be the temp limit for this unit according to Avalon.

Avalon units are not the same as Antminer the fan you use on antminer might work for them but not for avalon.

Would you mind replacing back the original fan in this unit and then check the API logs again under MTmax to see if the middle board temperature drops?
146  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: AVALON 1166 PRO 72 TH ERROR on: April 20, 2024, 02:37:09 PM
Usually, this is a PSU issue but the system status shows only 2 hashboard there might issue in one of your hashboard that cause all hashboard not to work properly.

I suggest try to clean the whole hashboard and the busbar make sure to use sandpaper to clean rust on the busbar and use isopropyl alcohol to clean the hashboard terminals replug them all and test it again lets see if there are any changes after this on the logs.
147  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19 HW errors on: April 20, 2024, 02:31:56 PM
Without additional info about the unit we do not know what cause this error.

I suggest check the kernel logs and maybe you can find some hints under the logs you can also share them here paste them inside the insert code tag and let us review your logs and maybe we can find the reason why you got this errors.
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool Observer Topic on: April 20, 2024, 01:37:59 AM
OMG whats happening on the recommended fee on mempool.space its too expensive I was waiting for the fee to drop below 50sat/vbyte but after block halving and check the mempool.space again I saw this look at the image below.

What do you think about the fee will the old fees will come back?
I don't think its a good idea to make a new transaction today too expensive.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will altcoins ever cheap again? on: April 19, 2024, 11:10:58 PM
Do you think altcoins right now are expensive? it's not altcoin season yet and most of the altcoins right now didn't get the new ATH meaning it's not altcoin season yet.
So it's still cheap for me this is just my own predicted price but I believe altcoin will surge these coming few months or this next year once we see the altcoin season that's the time we will see altcoin price pretty expensive.
150  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: AT&T Residential and Mining on: April 19, 2024, 11:05:24 PM
I don't think AT&T can detect if you are mining and I don't see any red flag if you mine while using this ISP but just in case you want to encrypt all of your mining activity then consider changing your DNS to a different DNS like Cloudflare to make sure you are submitting an encrypted data because if you didn't use other DNS your ISP can do deep packet inspection where they can know what site you are accessing to so changing DNS to cloudflare or google DNS will encrypt your data submitted to ISPs.
151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This will be my first BTC halving on: April 19, 2024, 10:41:50 PM
1 hour and 34 minutes it's block halving we just noticed after a bearish week it seems there are many people buy Bitcoin a few hours ago that turned the price movement into bullish and let's see what will be the impact of the block halving since the supply will be cut into half if the demand is the same we sure that BTC price will surge.

The bearish movement of Bitcoin recently is just normal it also happen last 3rd halving look at the image below to those who do not know

152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu token, is there a future for this? on: April 19, 2024, 03:43:26 PM
No, it's just a meme token that doesn't have any use the reason why it skyrocketed is because of rapid growth in their community who are interested in Meme tokens but like I said it does not have any use so if people do not have any more interest in Meme like Shib it would just die gradually unless developers develop something that can make this token as primarily used.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did I spend my Bitcoin on? on: April 19, 2024, 12:57:34 PM

I guess I was hoping someone else would know what BitMax was (way back in 2012) or remembered something about it.

They were wild west days so I wasn't expecting anything from it. I was just hoping to find out what it was.

It's possible it's in a post somewhere but search returns posts up to 2014 but nothing older.

Thanks for taking a look.

There is a Bitmax.io that I know here on the forum but it is no longer active it seems it is reverse mining according to their official thread you can check from this link below.

Also, it's not me my username does have z at the end and I don't know about Bitcoin way back 2012.
154  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: s17 pro control board repair on: April 18, 2024, 08:18:23 PM
Before you bring this to repair shop and maybe you can revive it so I suggest try to flash it first through serial port there is a guide on zeusBTC how to do it check the link below

If it does not work check the list of repair shop in UK from this link below

155  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 1166pro always restarting on: April 18, 2024, 08:06:44 PM
Have you noticed the system status?
It shows over hot meaning it's overheating which is why it keeps restarting MTmax is pointing to the middle board the overheating came from the middle hashboard.

Why did you remove the fan it is not running properly I suggest plug the fan again it should fix your issue and lets see if the MTmax on the middle board drop.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If this doesn't wake you up and make you do the RIGHT thing... on: April 18, 2024, 02:06:53 PM
Look. There are centralization in many ways, among which the mining centralization is the worst one. And this is where we are exactly heading. Very sad.

These big mining pools are the only ones that becomes centralized they have 47% of the total hash rate meaning it's still not centralized there are 53% of the total hashrate is still on decentralized pools and other miners can still mine on other pools if they don't want to mine on a centralized mining pool. ViaBTC and foundrydigital are not included on the list so they don't have full control of all pools yet you can also mine on your own and deploy your own pool if you have a mining farm.
157  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Illusion of Trading Success on: April 18, 2024, 01:23:55 PM
Not all who teach on YouTube are making any profit in trading most of them are scams that is why I only look for those who do live trading rather than those who make content to teach you how to trade without any proof.

There is no perfect trader you must learn by yourself and monitor the price action of any coin you trade not all strategies that you can find on YouTube will work for you that is why you need to learn by yourself and the basic guides is essential in trading almost all content related to trading shows you the basic trading that's the thing you should apply on every trade.
There's no perfect trader who can predict what will happen in the future they are just predicting any possible opportunity based on previous price action.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: (Help) I'm trying to get my private keys on: April 17, 2024, 11:59:18 PM
If your wallet.dat file is not encrypted you can just open it with notepad or notepad++ I have an old wallet.dat 2015 and it can able to open with notepad it includes the private key and public key.

However, if it's encrypted then you will need Pywallet to decrypt it you can use the command below only apply this command if the wallet.dat file is on the same folder and make sure you already have a backup copy of wallet.dat just incase.

Code:
python pywallet.py --dumpwallet wallet.dat --passphrase="YourPassPhrase/Password"
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The effect Nigeria ban on Binance P2P traders on: April 17, 2024, 10:22:46 PM
Yes even in Nigeria many this are banned only on the internet like the web links for exchanges and also popular cryptocurrency platforms but still, people easily get access to it by simply using the VPN. The P2P is only a problem because it was removed by the exchange itself.

Oh, I see it's the same procedure they do but the only difference is the P2P platform is still available in the Philippines without VPN you can access Binance by just changing the DNS.

You don't have a choice but to switch to another exchange I'm currently using OKX exchange sometimes Bitget if your money there is NGN it seems that there are many p2p sellers on OKX I checked just now, and most of payments are bank options only.
160  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Price action strategies on TRADING on: April 17, 2024, 09:52:42 PM
Nice shot, op. I'm enjoying this short tutorial you're telling here through the illustrations you've shown here. Actually,  it's too technical; only those who have a deep understanding of trading can understand and relate to what you're saying.

That's not too technical that is the basic thing you should do is find the support and resistance because that is the zone for short and long positions just don't do it in 1 minute time frame it won't work but for 15m above that's the good time frame for a day trader or long term trader the only problem with the long term it needs fundamental, unlike a day trader they mostly focus on technical analysis than fundamental.

This strategy works as always just add the Bitcoin as your indicator because most of the coins are affected when the price of Bitcoin increases or drops.
