Big win for the Lakers in double overtime. Milwaukee Bucks made a lot of mistakes, they are too leaning on three-point shots while they have the best attacker in Giannis. Beasley was not shy to keep on shooting threes even if they didn't really need it. This is where the Lakers took advantage of the opportunity to make it to the front and win the 2nd overtime.
That was a big upset considering the spread was -10.5. And without a doubt, Lebron was happy that his team won despite his resting from an injury.

Looking back, I thought this game would be a blowout win for the Bucks, as they led the Lakers 6–23 in the first quarter. Without Lebron and the Bucks is healthy, and with that kind of lead early in the game? Everyone thought it would be a win for the Bucks, but the Lakers climbed up late in the game. With a couple of clutch shots from Reaves and good defensive play from Davis, the Bucks had their chances to seal the game but couldn't get it done. The turning point of this game was when Giannis missed his free throws, and after that, the Lakers never looked back and won the game.

That's only the first quarter, we all know that teams can get back from 20+ points deficit and win the games, we have seen that already. What's important is that the team who lead should maintain it obviously, but not in this game. The Bucks allowed the Lakers to have the momentum and then force the game into OT.

It is a good team effort; everyone has their own contributions to make to win this game, and with the next 5 games of the Lakers are the Grizzlies, Pacers, Nets, Raptors, and Nets. I can see them winning this all; that's five more wins to add to their current record.

It's the final stretch of the season, and it's time that the teams are reaching their peaked already like the Mavs and Lakers and the Houston Rockets. Good win for the Lakers as they have a good percentage on their next following games and win.
143  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull run again, huh on: March 27, 2024, 04:12:29 PM
The price of Bitcoin moves in cycles with a duration of four years, after four years Bitcoin halving begins, this is the only halving cycle. This halving cycle will take place for the fourth time in 2024, so Bitcoin's peak value has been touched in each halving cycle. So no one can say exactly where Bitcoin price will touch so it can be a subjective question. Because Bitcoin prices are always up and down, no one can say for sure yet.
Now Bitcoin has shown a new history this year by making ATH before the halving, so this is something unexpected even though it was something that everyone expected before, so many people are starting to be surprised by the achievements of Bitcoin's price so far. I also think that the Bitcoin price increase will continue this month, and make this year's halving have a more different color than previous years. Because something like now has never happened in the previous cycle when Bitcoin started halving.

Yeah, no one really expects that the market is going to be big like this, even reaching new all time high before the halving. And if we touch $100k this bull run, it is another first to us. So this 2024 seems to be a very lucky year for crypto as also predicted by non-crypto individuals.

But for us crypto enthusiasts, we are lucky that we have enough time to accumulate before the market goes on a wild ride to a new all time high at 6 digits. For sure majority of us already save and stash some Bitcoin already and will just watch how our money will grow once we reach new all time high in 2025.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countdown to the 4th Bitcoin halving.. what should we expect? on: March 27, 2024, 03:39:51 PM
Our expectations after this year halving is in seeing that bitcoin market rises up to $200,000 and many investors are being profitable in their respective investments made on bitcoin, you can agree with me that we cannot accurately predict the time the all time high is coming but we can go by the steady speculations and follow up on the trend of how it being volatile, next month which is April will be the month to expect the halving taking place.

Let's put in a conservative estimates of $100k first. I know sky is the limit and there is also the possibility to rise to $200k. But I wouldn't go that route so that we won't get disappointed when the price down go that high.

We should be learning from the experience during the last bull-run. For sure everyone still remembers one of the most famous prediction that time by Plan B with his S2F modelling. That the price is going to reach $100k. Unfortunately, the highest was $69k in November and there's no more push to reach 6 digit.
145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tim Tszyu - Seabastian Fundora For The WBC And WBO Super Welterweight March 30 on: March 27, 2024, 03:15:23 PM
There it is, "he can't take Tszyu down", that's why he need to be smart and use his advantage. I think Tszyu is not so quick, so if Fundora will be able to figure out how to use his lenght, I won't be surprise that he'll get this win after the end of 12 round. The odds are very attractive, this is worth a shot IMO, just a small bet and we will be fine even if we lose.

I dont know why, but tall people always lose to a much smaller guys in coordination. If Tszyu is not so quick, then Fundora is even slower. That reach advantage can be turned into a disadvantage. With a combination of being tall, long reach leaves more open body. Even if Tims body punches does not do much damage, these accented punches works well for statistics and point in rounds. Dont forget, that got knocked down not only by a punch to a face, but a good punch to a liver also can finish fight early.

That could happen in favor of Tim Tszyu, but upon looking at the record of Fundora, he also had some impressive wins, and via KO. Here, he should maintain his distance as he can't afford to get hit in the body that might result to him losing the stamina if he'll not be KO in one punch. I don't know, but I have a feeling that Tim Tszyu will struggle a bit here as I have not seen him fight a tall boxer like Fundora. If he could follow Canelo's style then maybe he'll win as Canelo is so good when his opponent is very tall.

But Tim is also known to be a pressure fighter, So Fundora might be successful early with his jab to push Tim away. But that relentless pressure will be too much for him. Again, against Mendoza, Fundora also did that but in them middle round he was caught and get knockout.

So in any case, this is really the definition of style makes fight. And that's why Tim is a huge favorite going into this fight. Just imagining Tim hitting that perfectly liver shot, I don't think that any boxer can recover if you are hit in the perfect spot.

@Jating
Surprisingly, it's already down [I'm not used to seeing a hosting company with quick actions (thanks to Namecheap's incompetent support staff members)] but unfortunately, a couple more of these fake pre-sale websites still exist:

Good if it has been taken down already, that was a quick response. And yeah, it we compare the creation of the website, totally different.

@ $crypto$ - I didn't get it from X, but I do agree that platform is being used by scammers and they could really have someone, a newbie to fall for this trick and that's why they continue to create fake sites.

Hopefully my warning here will help some members.
147  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC dip again? on: March 26, 2024, 02:32:23 PM
bitcoin still go down to at least $50k?
If you look at the current market performance it seems very difficult to expect the price of Bitcoin to fall to $50k. I see that Bitcoin will continue to increase, especially since the Halving is getting closer. So if you expect Bitcoin to drop $50k it seems likely after the Halving.

I think we already pass $50k already, currently we are seeing the price going up again in the last 34 hours to $70k. So that is a sign that we might not go down again and that $62k could be the last leg down before the eventual bull run after the block halving.

Of course, we wanted the price to go down still so that we can invest more. But then again, we have a lot of opportunities before, and that we should have taken that to buy and stash BTC. But we can still do save, but the profit is not that big as compare when we buy it during the bear market.
148  Other / Off-topic / Re: Becoming productive without spending too much money. on: March 26, 2024, 11:27:07 AM
Becoming productive?

a. You have to invest in yourself - you can used Youtube for that to learn new skills and research what skills are in right now, like digital marketing or video editor.
b. You really need to have a goal. It might be very hard in the beginning, if you're laser focus then you can achieved your dreams.
c. Perhaps you have the money, then there's nothing wrong with spending. At least invest as well and buy things that you need, not that you want. For example, you might invest on a good laptop if your side hustle is video editing.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez - Jaime Munguia May 4 Super Middleweight Championship on: March 26, 2024, 10:22:31 AM
Bookies disagree with you and leave Munguia almost no chances Cheesy Canelo is a huge favourite with 1.15 Cheesy Why do you think Canelo would suffer a brutal beating? Have you ever seen him not in top condition? Maybe ever seen him fighting "average"? His two losses are against top Mayweather while he was still young, and got declassed by a champ of other weight class. Dont judge Canelos form by victory over Jermell Charlo, as it was sort of an obligatory fight under his contract, and he taken Jermell instead of Jermall Charlo.

I did not expect the odds to be that low. I thought Canelo will be around 1.40 or more. That's a huge disrespect to De La Hoya's boy. But I see Mungia as more difficult than Jermall.

I just think that the only way Mungia win is by knockout or by brutal beating. Canelo has a tough chin so if an upset happens he eats a lot of those powerful punches. But of course Canelo is the favorite. He will fight smart here and will not go for a knockout. Hopefully, Canelo gets beaten again and a knockout is much better. Cheesy

And I think that Munguia is obviously a bigger guy, and could be walking around the super middleweight limit as compare to Charlo who has to move up in weight from 154-168 lbs to fight Canelo.

I think the odds are fair though, with the level of opposition that Munguia has face, no one get even close to Canelo's fight with GGG. And probably this is what odd makers see, but still up to Munguia to proved that they are correct at placing him almost 5:1 underdog going into this fight.

151  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin halving, how low the price can be? on: March 26, 2024, 08:49:32 AM
Let's use PlanB prediction, the floor price he estimates might be around $49K-$55K and it might cross $532K during bull run. If you ask about the price during halving event, probably went a bit and then we might suffer a little drop.

between $49k-$55k based on STH

Plan B acknowledges that there are error bands in the S2F model, but he believes that the price of Bitcoin will reach $532,000 in 2025.

The thing with PlanB is that his S2F modelling was already exposed to be flawed, as his modelling predicted that we will reach $100k from last bull run and it didn't happen. And so maybe some of his followers might not "believed" what he had to see again.

Well we have seen that we reach new all time high already at $73k.

And so it could be the floor price already. And again if S2F estimates it to be around $49K-$55K, then it could be wrong again. But PlanB can readjust it again to fit his narratives, just saying.
152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are crash games profitable??? on: March 25, 2024, 08:00:22 PM
A lot of youths in Africa are into aviator and a lot of other crash games... what's interesting is that 90 percent of these young people have skills, jobs and sources of income,..why are we playing these games when the odds are constantly against us.
People come up with patterns trying to understand the algorithm of these games but from my experience these games have no pattern
They are been controlled by the bookmakers, out of a 100 percent the chances of winning is 10 percent
After winning more than 4 times In a row just know that losses is bound to happen even if you don't lose that same day
Crash games are not going to give you that extra source of income you are looking for.
Using the martingale system in these games is quite risky because sometimes you might lose 20 times in a row
And continuing in this system will make you an addict,, protect your financial life at all cost, stake what you can afford to lose and be disciplined

I mean that's the very definition of gambling, you don't know the outcome, and then you get that adrenaline rush and even if you lose, you still wanted to play more and become addicted to it. And that's how money is being made by the casinos.

If you don't want to lose money, then simply stop gambling for good. Gambling is ingrained in our minds already so it's really hard to stop even if you know that the odds are pretty much stack against you. But the thrill in this crash games is very different that gamblers are willing to take the risk.
153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 25, 2024, 07:30:27 PM
Warriors do look like they may have some trouble and if they do not end up doing better then they are going to end up missing the playoffs. To be fair they are at a stage where they could start being bad too, people are expecting way too much from them. Imagine a team that is doing this much, it is really important to realize that you are not going to end up with anything that would be crazy, it should be as normal as it gets and not have anything that will change in the end.

They are in trouble right now, their game against the Wolves is very important and they let that one slip away. Obviously it will put a lot of pressures from them to win their next game otherwise another L and a win by the Rockets will give them the same record and there are a lot of remaining games that might change and switch their position.

I hope that people could see that possibility as important, and we are not going to get anything marginal out of this. I hope to get it made one way or another, and should consider the fact that we are going to get something good from other teams being better.

Everyone is trying to get better, as I have said, the Rockets are in a winning streak and chasing them out of the last spot. Celtics are cruising in the East, but the West still anything goes, Clippers will have to win as well to gain home court advantage and so are other teams.

155  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: March 23, 2024, 10:04:10 AM
I have been a little bit sore because of the new method I learnt from a friend, it was so challenging to me that I decided to be hitting it up on regular basis just for me to gain certain level of fulfilment. However, i think is time to have a day off in other to give the body some rest to regain energy and return back fully because I intend keeping up with the standard of the new method by not going back to my old ways of  doing push-ups, cheers to those that has been keeping up with the thread along side with the challenge Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes.

It's ok to have a day-off, our body needs to recover as well, and each individual is built different. And also the age factor, as you age then our body will need to take more time to recover from this kind of punishment.

As for me, I've gain strength again and like to challenge my body even more by adding resistance band in my push-ups. For sure some of you might have been using this as compare to lifting heavy weights. So I started with the lowest resistance band and see how it goes for me.
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship on: March 23, 2024, 08:48:31 AM
One is on the comeback trail, Wilder and still wanted to have his name in the discussions in the Heavyweight division. We still dream of him fighting AJ or even Francis Ngannou.

On the other hand, Zhang wanted to show the world that he is no fluke and again, sought to be included as well in this division as there are big money coming from the rich country of Saudi as they are willing to give this boxers good paycheck just to fight in their country. So kudos to HE Turki Alalshikh for another undercard in this fight.

And yes, when we have two heavy punchers, one is bound to go down hard and prepared to use any means necessary to score a knockout and finished that fight in a spectacular manner.

My bet here is Wilder, hope he will overcome this hurdle and be back in the limelight again. I have nothing against Zhang but I think he is now too old for this sport though we should thank him for his contribution to this division in the last few years but for now he might go down hard with Wilder as his opponent.

Wilder will be the slight favorite here, I reckon. Even though he both of them lost to Parker, who is a technical fighter, Wilder could still have something inside of him, the desire and motivation to at least go out and win one more time.

Obviously, his soul has been taken by Fury already, but he can still bounce back and recover. It's more of a mental game moving forward for him, and hopefully his team and handlers knows what wrong with the Bronze Bomber and give him the needed encouragement to get back in the game.
157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 23, 2024, 08:15:41 AM
Canelo has poured cold water on the idea of facing David Benavidez anytime in the near future. He is demanding $150–200 million to accept that fight.

When Alvarez, 33, was asked if Benavidez was the next biggest fight that could be made, he said, "Maybe. Who knows? But he brings nothing to the table for me. He just brings 25 extra pounds on the night of the fight. That’s it. He has nothing to offer me, anything. I’m the one … If a promoter who I work with offers $150 to $200 million, then I'll fight tomorrow. That's the only reason I'll fight with him.”

When you make a demand that ridiculous it is obvious you don’t want to make the fight. PBC and DAZN have recently rejected Canelo’s proposed fights against Charlo and Berlanga, which is an indication of his declining marketability. Pricing himself out is nothing more than an admission of being scared to lose. Canelo vs. Benavidez would be a huge deal but it doesn’t have the historic significance of an undisputed heavyweight fight, which is the only thing that can come close to being worth those kinds of purses.

Maybe when Canelo tastes that big money, specially when he had that contract with DAZN, somewhat he learn the business of boxing. And so before taking any big chances, he will surely request huge amount to the point that he is pricing himself and now looking like he is ducking Benavidez.

Also myself also said in the past the Canelo is avoiding him, this could be the reason why he doesn't want Benavidez. To him and for others, this is business, they want to get as much money in just one fight and secure their future.

And when we comeback, it what Floyd started, he severe his tie with Top Rank that time and become the manager himself and command more millions in every fight. And probably this is what Canelo is doing right now with picking fights that make sense in terms of money he can generate.

I'm still under the impression that he duck DB, but that's what boxing is right now. We are no longer in the era of fighting the best in every decision. Now it's about corruption by the governing bodies, and boxers looking for fights that can generate a lot of money for them, regardless of who will be their opponent, it's all about hype.

159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez - Jaime Munguia May 4 Super Middleweight Championship on: March 22, 2024, 11:35:36 AM
Lol, who is that one guy who has chosen "Jaime Munguia By Decision" ? Please stand up. Who are you? Where you under the influence of substances when you have chosen that or it was a misclick? Seriously, what was motivating you to make such a ridiculous vote? Judges would never let Munguia or any other contender win Canelo by decision. It is going to be either a lucky punch and KO, or the corrupted boxing judges will always select money making cow.

I will never choose Munguia to win by decision because between the two Canelo is the skillful fighter, but I never disregard that he can upset Canelo because Munguia is young, hungry, and aggressive if Canelo underestimates Munguia like how he underestimates Bivol and pay the price.

They both have mutual respect with each other on their first face-off and press conference, it's understandable because they are both Mexicans and they both respect their capability, it's ten days to go the Mexican boxing fans will have a grand time watching these two great Mexican fighters.

No offense for all Munguia fans, but right now is undisputed king of super middleweight and middleweight division. Munguia might be really good, but a miracle must happen for him to win by decision. Munguia can win only by a knockout. Even if he knockdown Canelo, I am sure that judges will give only 8-10 in that round and Canelo will still win by decision. The best Munguia can get in such scenario is a split lose. For Canelo to lose by decision, I think this is possible only if he goes to a different weight class.

And nobody has crack Canelo before, not even GGG which I will say that toughest fight of Canelo's career and we can argue that he lost the first fight. Although Canelo has aged since that fight and has in a lot of wars as well, but nobody come close to the punishment that GGG gave him, not even Bivol as Bivol doesn't have the power, he is just pure volume punch that Canelo can't avoid.

So yeah, maybe just a lucky punch that Canelo is not looking that might gave Munguia a chance in this fight.  Or simply Canelo is still go good and score a lopsided dominant in the judges scorecard.
160  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc new oil for USA on: March 22, 2024, 10:55:50 AM
Widespread adoption by major economies like the US.  Replacing the USD with Bitcoin is a radical notion, with significant economic and technological hurdles. The "unlimited supply" of USD as a weakness, but replacing it with a finite asset like Bitcoin presents its own challenges.  Imagine a society where the money supply is inflexible, potentially hindering economic growth.

Blackrock's purchase of Bitcoin is a case in point.  It represents a diversification strategy, not necessarily a mass adoption of Bitcoin as a transactional currency.  People do need oil, but widespread use of electric vehicles could disrupt the oil market.  Similarly, alternative cryptocurrencies like LTC or Doge could challenge Bitcoin's dominance for everyday transactions.

I don't think that the US will make Bitcoin or at least other currency to replace their dollar. It's a radical change and it won't simply happen. US, despite who will be the sitting President and what party he/she is, they won't abide by that. Good thing if they will support Bitcoin but so far that is not the case.

Blackrock is a huge financial entity, trillions worth, but I also doubt that they will let crypto takes over. For them it's business as usual, if they can make money out of it and continue to dominate the world order then they will jump on the hype and that's what they are doing right now.
