1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be pulled by the hype of meme coins on: May 25, 2023, 08:45:07 PM

Chose to post this because a friend bought lovehateinu because he saw it in various websites but the reality was a dip than the presale price. I might be biased on my thoughts on meme so would be happy to hear our views on them.

I guess we have issues a lot of warning before, not just for this cycle, but on the previous one about meme coins because if you look at it, there are not really any use case for this project expect hype and greed and money for the creator and the people behind it.

But crypto investors don't want to listen, like your friend did, because they thought it's a get rich scheme but it's not. The only people that will get wealthy here are those groups, and then the pump and dump schemes of individuals. So again, let this be a warning to others, there could be another meme coins, like Doge, Shiba and even Pepe that will suckered everyone to invest.

You choose the feerate of your choice when creating the transaction. On the mobile app, you cannot set the fees specifically, you can only choose from a range of low priority, medium or high, while on the desktop version you can choose the exact fee you wish to pay on the transactions.

If your enaked RBF - Replaced By Fee, you can bump the fee after you have sent the transaction, if it is delaying to be confirmed.

Part of the reason why I prefer the blue wallet than mobile electrum wallet. With the blue wallet having fee ranges calculated from mempool for confirmation in either 10min, 3hours or 1day, you can customize your own fee to a preferred one. The RBF seems on default doesn’t enabling except it was disabled before.

Yes, the default on Electrum for RBF is not enabled if I'm not mistaken, you just have to enabled it though.

You can also edit the fees manually. After you click "Pay"->click on the "Screwdriver icon". Then you can type the fees you want, based on what you see in

https://mempool.space/

So obviously, if you are not in a hurry and doesn't want to pay high fee then that is your choice.
1023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 24, 2023, 09:15:01 PM
If the Celtics win Game 5 and 6, then I think we will have a game.
Definitely, we can say they might make history if that happens.
But, we have seen the Miami Heat play better on the road. They love the challenge and it gets them pumped up. I think what happened today is just them being too relaxed and forgetting about how it should be played in this series. We will see how Jimmy Butler will carry his team on Boston homecourt.

There's another factor too that I believe is partly the reason why the Heat was defeated in Game 4. Maybe the Heat was just too tired from playing aggressively and having a good defense in straight three games without having some rests in-between, that is why they fell out of bounce in the 2nd half.

Anyway, the way I see it, that might be the Boston's last game that they can own because the Heat on the road is still dangerous and that gives them time to rest too while traveling compared when they are having a back to back games.

Might be reason indeed because playing impressively against the #1 in the East will surely take toll on their body and enough of their energy as they are still humans like us although they are trained much differently from the other leagues in the world. To sum it up, it was a good run for the Celtics because they denied getting swept just like the Lakers, but I do believe that it was their last win as well.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not underestimating the Celtics but given the situation we have now, it is clear enough to see that the Miami Heat leaded by Jimmy Butler have the upper hand in this series. It will be a tough one for sure to sack them but I bet the Heat can find a way to do that.

I think that is the best thing they  can do, denied a swept, and it also denied history as well. This could be the first time that we might see either finals conference sweep. Lakers swept by the Nuggets, and the Heat has a chance, but the Celtics hasn't lost 4 straight in 2 years and they did exactly that and prevent that history putting their team on that.

Anyway, no team has ever comeback from 0-3 in the playoff. So the Heat has a lot of chance to close out the Celtics. Maybe in the next game we might see it. They are now 3.45 underdogs and that kind of odds we want to see for the Heat. Maybe they didn't trash talk Butler this time and not 'poke the bear'.
1024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: May 24, 2023, 08:52:33 PM
^^ Yes, we are tired of hearing this news and having a date for this fight. So let's wait and see if there will be official announcement. I know that everyone gets excited when he hear news about this fight, but how many times that we heard and then there is no announcement?

Although it's good to hear that a name popup as a advisor for Terrence Crawford, we all know that he had no manager after he didn't sign with Top Rank. So that it a first hearing a name then in this negotiation.
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 24, 2023, 12:06:01 AM
well, I already commented here that I didn't understand why they were putting the lakers as favorites in this game when it just didn't make much sense to me since the Nuggets proved to be much superior to the lakers in every game and history shows that in this type of situation is irreversible, so lakers players would not come to this game hoping to win to reverse this whole situation, at most they would come to play to comply with the schedule and also avoid humiliating defeat and also all lakers players would probably be more worried getting out of the game without injuries and thinking about the next season because everything was already decided

As for today's heat game against the celtics and the same situation as the lakers, I don't believe that the celtics will be able to reverse this whole situation and it's funny that in this game the heat is the favorite and the bookmakers are right, the heat clearly have an irreversible advantage, they will be playing at home and motivated, so all the celtics can do is avoid having the same humiliating defeat they had in the last game, so they will do everything so that they don't lose by a big difference of points , the odds for this game are good, the heat has an odd of @1.84 in case of victory, I am considering betting on the heat to win the game

It's because they are still in their homecourt, so bookies might think that it's a advantage. And it really affect how the players play on their homecourt. We've seen that the Lakers blew away Memphis and GSW at Crypto.com in their series.

But it's a different Nuggets team, Murray is healthy, Jokic is putting great numbers and the whole team is playing good defense.

Same with the Heat vs Celtics, the Heat is the favorite because they are going to play at home and they just defeated Boston Celtics with a huge numbers in game 3 as well.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT OR MEMES on: May 22, 2023, 01:43:10 PM
Both are just hype though, so same connotations, but probably just different in shape. Just like what we have seen in the past, ICO-IEO-IDO and others, same breed and as soon as the hype goes down, then something new will come along way.

So there is a risk, and if anyone is willing to take that risk then so be it. At least you know what you are getting into and so you can't just bitch around after you invested on them and lose your money in an instant. You just been warned.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: May 22, 2023, 10:51:32 AM
How many times have you successfully invited some gamblers to online casino? What is your experience doing so? I know many will find this hard to believe but I kinda prefer bringing in gamblers than investors into crypto, why? They understood the risk already, there is no talk and talk over again, there is no dealing with someone fear and confidence..

I have successfully brought in four people into crypto gambling, and it was the easiest thing ever, they came asking if it's possible to use crypto for gambling and I said yes, but I told them that I am not ready to introduce any platform for anyone, but these guys then showed me there past gambles on a local website that only accept Fiat, that's when I got soft with them and I showed them the websites I use for gambling.

The thing is, they are small time winners and big time losers, I mean they lose more than winning, it's been two weeks and two of them tell me about their loss and gains, but they make it feel normal, to them it really is, not like the crypto investors today, always in hurry to double their money, some are even scared of investing in Bitcoin, which is the safest of them all.

For me it's the opposite, it's hard to bring in investors in crypto because admit it or not, majority of them are not technically incline, so that is one of the biggest problems facing newbies and most likely this is also why they are losing money to scammers and others who take advantage of their lack of knowledge on crypto, like what wallet this should used, how to protect their private keys and others.

As compare to bring online gamblers, yes, I too have earn money doing some affiliate and people playing under me so it's a passive income. Only just a couple of people though that I know, it's not that huge affiliate or something. And it's easy to talk to them, and obviously, gambling is very easy to learn as well as there are no learning curves.
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 22, 2023, 09:50:53 AM
Down 30 points by the end of the third quarter - it would be insane if they can even come back from that even if Miami uses their bench players for the entire fourth quarter. Celtics should at least step up and cover those +10 handicap bets hehe. Scary to think that neither Jimmy nor Bam put up big numbers to have such a huge lead.

Yeah and it's all their undrafted players again who really contribute in this big win, now they are comfortable at 3-0 and they will make in to the finals again in the last 3 years if I'm not mistaken.

But they will have to face the Nuggets for this year. Business wise though, will it be one of the most watch finals in the NBA? Or will it be just a so-so numbers as both of this teams, I will say is not that well known? No offense to the fans of both team, the Heat at number 8 in the finals? no one is expecting it, in the beginning it was Boston, Bucks and Sixers as the favorite. Will be insane if the Heat went to win this season.
1029  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: May 21, 2023, 09:36:00 PM
There is an opinion that the more money you spend, the more you get in return, it is interesting to find out who really works in this direction. I spend enough money, but I have a fixed income, therefore I will not be able to get more. I don't have rich relatives, and I don't expect an inheritance either. I want to get rich, not to deny myself, but I have to save on everything. Who really faced big expenses and received even more? How does it work, maybe I don't understand the essence of it correctly?

I think this is just a theory, you just have to used logic here and see that it just won't simply work. Specially like if you just have fixed income, have a regular 9-5 job. It will take a lot of imagination to have this theory work on you. Maybe if you have the money and spend it like building your own business empire, then maybe there is some sense in this saying. But if you are just spending your money buying and not investing, then obviously, nothing will be returned to you. So that's it, invest the money that you have instead of spending it to useless stuff and material things, practice frugality and then have the mindset to let's say in crypto to just hold on your assets and sell it at the right time, maybe you will get more in return.
1030  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc price preeiction on: May 21, 2023, 09:20:05 PM
Bitcoin price to reach 100K from current price has a lot of space to run. So with the Bitcoin halving in 2024, the price of Bitcoin may increase slightly compared to last year. Bitcoin halving in 2020 was mentioned as a much higher price but it happened that the price of Bitcoin touched up to 69k.  But this time in 2023, the price of Bitcoin may be up to 100K according to the hype. Many will want to sell Bitcoin during the main bull run and (many will sell) and there is a high probability that the price of Bitcoin will be pulled back. According to ATH Bitcoin price will increase till 2025.
It's clear there is still a lot of time space for bitcoin to return to the peak which is often said to be $100K but keeping in mind the situation after the halving and how the hype will react later but I think it will be more than ever and believe me how bitcoin's journey will be quite fantastic.

That is the next bull run, or right after the halving, and that's what we are looking next year. 6 digits or nothing in the next run. Still very far, but that's also how I see the price in the bubble, (admit it or not, what we are going to see is a full blown bubble again).

Bullrun the highest peak is the target of many investors to sell it is what they want and after selling normally they will wait to buy it back where the bitcoin price will correct or crash about this negative cycle of course it will be the same as before so those who intend to sell take advantage of it good as long as it's ATH according to you.

Yeah, probably it will peak again late, 2025, maybe November-December before it will be burst. And for those of us who are going to reinvest, it's better be that bear cycle after that. The best thing to do is this time, try to accumulate as much as we can for the next bull run 2024-2025.
1031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 21, 2023, 11:39:47 AM
I think everyone is starting to accept that the Lakers are over in this series now. It's a miracle the Lakers made it to the finals after losing 3 games, I don't think they can do that.
Again, Murray played very well and had a huge impact on the win. We can say that the first team in the final was the Denver Nuggets.
I think we're going to watch a finale between Jokic and Butler Smiley

Though the edge is really on Nuggets side but there's still game left and who knows, maybe Lakers will push and try to extend the games.

That is the best thing they can do, extend that series of them on at least 5 games. They know that it's hard to get back from a 3-0 deficit and win the series.

But if you'll going to assess the way both LeBron and Davis are playing, seems that they are really
having a hard time matching against Murray and Jokic.

Plus those role players who really playing well on both sides, help defense and additional offense for the Nuggets
is really hurting the Lakers.

The formula that they used against the Warriors are not working because of Jokic. As far as Murray goes, he is unstoppable, not even the defense of Vando can hold him. Unlike Vando getting Steph a hard time, not this time, Murray is bigger and stronger than Steph.

And so it seems that the Lakers have done everything in this series, changes their personnel, but still Jokic and Murray unstoppable specially in the final quarter.

Miami is also trying to duplicate the feat of Nuggets and wanted to get a 3-0 lead next game in their homecourt.
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Casinos Should Do Survey From Time To Time To Assess You. on: May 21, 2023, 10:31:47 AM
In light of two cases about casinos being charged for not stopping one player from playing past his betting threshold and from one demanding one casino to return his losses because of VPN issues.

Do you think casinos should implement a survey assessment from time to time to assess gamblers if they are comfortable spending more and if they are using VPN all the time even if they allow the use of VPN.

This is for the casinos to avoid issues in the future when players look for loopholes to regain their losses by charging them in court.

A Gambling Operator Court Case

No, I don't think that it is the responsibility of gambling operators or casino. Gamblers should read the ToS of every platform that they are going to play so that there will be no issues whatsoever like in this case the use of VPN.

Casino's are going to fight it out in court cases, and if my memory serves me right, I'm not sure how many court cases does the casino losses though. Statistics could be in their side as everything is written on their ToS. And if someone violated it and then think that they have found a loophole, then they are all wrong.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 21, 2023, 08:58:42 AM
Another ridiculous scorecard in boxing Cheesy

Loma clearly win the match, no debate. I don't see Haney win at least for 6 rounds, no win for Haney or draw in this match. We don't need to use our eyes to see Loma dominating the fight, just hear what the commentators saying because they got hyped when Loma punch more accurately on Haney's face.

On the 11th round, Haney lose his footwork, that's clear sign how Haney got beaten by Loma.

I think Loma started slow again and Haney control the fight early with his length and those body shots. However, Haney engine started to get hot and rally late in the rounds and going into round 12 it's anybody's game. But I gave Loma the last round so that makes him the winner in my unofficial card.

But I do agree that the judges fix this match from the beginning they are not going to give Loma the win here unless it's a knockout.

You can see the emotions on Loma, when we thought that he is the matrix, he suddenly shows his emotion and cry.  Cry
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 💥😮Ripple Launches CBDC Platform For Banks, Governments🏦 on: May 20, 2023, 09:18:30 PM

What do you think about this new Ripple initiative? Is it against financial freedom then?

Ripple has been a bankers coin and centralized project, this has been the contention way back, as far as can remember 2018, wherein they work and cooperated with many banks so don't be surprised by this news.

Financial freedom? for them it's business. There was a time wherein they are in the top of the list. There were even discussions about a so called "Rippening", wherein there will be a flip and Ripple or XRP becoming the top 1 dislodging BTC. But investors are too smart for that, and so they suddenly lose or investors are not interested on them anymore. But they still try to work it out and continue with their initiatives till this year.
1035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 20, 2023, 08:49:52 PM
The Celtics and the Lakers have to be feeling the position they’re in. One more loss for either in the next two games is likely the end. Both teams get to play their next games at home, so we can’t write them off yet. Tonight is a must win for the Lakers or their season is pretty much done. I’m hoping they win, even if it just extends the series a little longer than 4 games.
I think the Lakers win at home long as Davis comes to play. It would make for a very interesting narrative if the Lakers went down 3 games in the series and came back to tie it and go to a game 7 though. Ratings would go through the roof for game 7.

Or at least Davis should be healthy. If he is healthy 100% and playing at home then we should expect to have a good game from him and taking the lead from Lebron James. The problem is that we don't know if he is not feeling anything, for Lebron I think he has twisted his ankle on game 2 but I think he can go and play at home because this is a must win for him.

As far as Boston and the Heat goes though, Boston blew it and that series is over. You can't lose 2 at home and hope to win 2 on the road deflated. Tatum has to take control and he's just not been doing that.

It's very unusual for the Celtics to lost back to back at home and Tatum cant' find his rhythm. But remember they are down 3-2 against the Sixers and won one at the road and then finished them at home. So let's see if they can steal game 3 against the Heat and then make game 4 crucial for both team.
1036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 20, 2023, 08:33:17 PM
Yes, I also saw it in the face off, not sure what really happen to Haney, but it seems that he has lost control of his emotions in this fight. After the push, he just hurriedly walk away.

So I d agree that psychologically, Loma could have won the battle already.

But let's see if that mental effect will carry over into the ring and Haney can't get into his ground in this fight.

Boxing is not just fought physically, it has also mental toughness which based on what we saw in the weigh-in, seems like Haney already lost half of the game but might also be a tactic on his side as he is playing the villain role here and might help his career, I mean that alone could add some people to watch just for him to lose.

TBH, in this kind of stage where all the lights are focused on them two, Loma has the advantage as he has fought more championship fights than Haney, the only advantage i see here for the latter is his size and youth.

This makes me want to bet more on Loma, as he appears more focused in the fight compared to Haney. I am eager to witness Loma's revenge in the actual fight, and I hope that push did not cause any harm to his shoulder, considering he reportedly underwent surgery in that area. Haney's inability to control his emotions could become his weakness on fight night, and it's possible that we may no longer see him as an undefeated fighter.

Exactly, Loma didn't even flitch when he was push, obviously he wanted to return the favor, but a lot of people is already in the middle separating them. And so Loma was laser focused on that intense weigh-in and with that we will see if he still has that one killer game on him to really quiet Haney's mouth running around during the promotion of this fight.

Or Haney is really the villain in this fight, sort of the character that he has developed all throughout the start and the promotion and up to the weigh-in as that is physical already.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: May 20, 2023, 01:34:03 AM
Now sure who Doc J, is he something famous in the Philippines? I will have to research more about this guy.

I'm not sure who this person is either. When searching on Google, "Julius Erving" appears, so it's possible that the person you're referring to might not be widely known. However, someone who is active in the Philippine boxing community on social media, like @bisdak40, might have more information about this individual.

Lol, Doc J is just an ordinary person here in Cebu City and he is a trainer in the Omega Gym but maybe he is also a doctor by profession (not sure though).

I initially thought that he is a renowned trainer, but it seems he is just from Cebu City. But anything that Donaire can get while in the Philippines, it will be good for him.

I did some research guys on who is this Alexandro Barrios is and it turns out that Alejandro Santiago and Alexandro Barrios is just one person hehe, his full name is "Agustín Alexandro Santiago Barrios" so there no change in opponent for Donaire guys, maybe they are just waiting for something but the good thing is that Donaire is keeping himself in shape even though the schedule is not definite yet.

Donaire though looks in shape. I mean it's probably those genes from Asian people wherein they can still eat what they want and not gain weight because of their metabolism. And probably it will help Donaire as well if his weight will be in control during off-season and then when he start training again, hard training, then there will be no problem on his weight.
1038  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbit exit from the forum, leason for newbies on: May 20, 2023, 01:13:23 AM
I thought that this thread is the most appropriate at this time because it will serve as a warning for newbies and other rank members never to trust a scammer that said he has repented just like in the case of 1xbit, and other scam casinos or other cryptocurrencies projects that have promoted the services here in the forum before their final exit.

1xbit is a notorious scam casino, that professionalizes in seizing players' huge deposits and winnings by blocking their
 accounts outrightly.

I can still remember when the 1xbits campaign came on board,  many of the participants were warned not to participate in this signature campaign or risk being red-tagged, while some of them desist from promoting the scam casinos others continued regardless and were red-tagged, now the party is over and they accounts are ruined for life.

What this means to newbies is, never trust any project or company that has scam allegations against them no matter what their promise in return, in the long run, you will become their victim too just like 1xbit promoters.

We will never trust them on the first place, newbies have been warned already.

For those who get on-board on that signature campaigns, it's either they used their burner account and so they doesn't care about the negative feedback they got or just totally ignorant about the accusations against this casinos.

In any case, good riddance for them, if the casino are not going to pay for their campaign then it just shows the character of 1xbit.
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PEPE time to buy NOW? on: May 19, 2023, 04:48:15 PM
the risk is very big to invest in PEPE, because the price of PEPE has increased very high and PEPE is a meme coin, so I never recommend you to investing in PEPE, but if you want to invest in PEPE then it's better for you to invest only for the short term and when PEPE is starting to get hype again (the price of PEPE starts to increase), so I suggest you to sell it immediately (take profit), because the price movement to go back down is very fast and that will make you lose your money.

In short, it's a pump and dump coin, no use case and yet people are willing to take the risk to invest their hard earn money on it in hoping that they will be millionaires someday. I know that there are news that says one individual suddenly become instant rich because of his investment on Pepe, but he could be one of those early investors.

So it's hard to replicate his success on that. And as you have said, it has reach a new all time high and most likely it might take sometime for it to go back to the pump and dump again, unless we are in a bull run already, but that is for another discussion.
1040  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could hit $100,000 by the end of 2024 - Standard Chartered - Surprised? on: May 19, 2023, 04:12:13 PM
I think it is very realistic that in 2024 the price can reach $100k, besides that the number of users continues to increase and the natural demand will continue to increase, and of course in 2024 there will be a major event namely the halving which will usually pump at least 50% in a short time.
agree, it is very likely that in the next bull run bitcoin price will cross $100k. The ATH in the previous bull run was $ 65k and the data shows that in every bull run the price of bitcoin always exceeds 2x the previous ATH. I think the bottom price for bitcoin in the next bull run will be in the $65k range.

$100k is a pretty modest target for bitcoin's potential. In 2021, bitcoin could rise from as low as $3k in 2018 to $69k. There's no reason why bitcoin can't break through $100k during the upcoming bull season. I'm more optimistic than a lot of people here when they expect the $100k target. I guess bitcoin will cross the $200k mark because in 2025, I also believe the world economy will recover, and people will be more eager to invest at that time.

Yes, and even in the pandemic, the price rose from $3k to our all time high of $69k so that is a big jump. So from $69k to 6 digits figure? yeah why not and as you have said, it could be just a modest estimates. Not just you though, everyone is optimistic that we can get that price in 2024.

If everything is ripe, then $150k could also be open for us. And if ever the world economy recovers in 2025, then it will be the best time to invest as well to bitcoin and crypto in that year so that least we cover what we have lost in this bear market.
