1401  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: March 17, 2023, 08:15:30 AM
Do you think it was a good idea by Snoop Dog to become the partner of an illegal crypto currency online casino?

What do you mean by an illegal casino? Roobet isn't an illegal casino and FYI its completely regulated even have mandatory KYC policy for AML so be clear what you are accusing about.

Snoop Dogg is an interesting character and surely will create an attraction in the online platforms and I hope this will lead the casino towards further progression and more customers.

I totally agree with what you say,for me Roobet has always been a very legitimate and authentic casino, and they have that authenticity that many casinos want to have and can't, just with the contests and promotions that Roobet gives is the best, now since they have Snoop Dogg it's something great,of course they will have to bring more strength and more customers to Roobet,an influencer will always be the best to push the casino to the best, just look at stake.com with Drake,he has great results, live presentations with Drake are on another level, that's what great influencers produce.

I already replied to that person who accused the license of Roobet is invalid since it doesn't applies to cryptocurrency but yet to receive any response from him/her.

Snoop Dogg is kind of different and he always attracts the people with his mannerism which is more of an attitude and that is how the current generation wants to be but I am not promoting weed in any way, LOL. I hope at the end of this month we may see more analytics about what and how this collaboration worked and in future more promos, attractive offers, collabs should be done.
1402  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need Help & My advice after this incident ! Metamask extension on: March 16, 2023, 02:56:21 PM
Hi dear Community,

Hope so you all are doing great, so first of all let me explain my current problem I am using the Firefox browser on Windows 10 and unknowingly it happened to me. I was using the meta mask extension for the regular transactions in my wallet but that meta mask account was created under an already created account and unfortunately I didn't back up my meta mask added account key. Today my Firefox browser updated and when I logged in again to my firefox there was no extension previously I was using. I was directly accessing my wallet from the browser with a password in the extension.

I have a backup of my previous Firefox default profile but I don't have the key to log into meta mask again. This is my biggest mistake I didn't back up my private key as I wasn't expecting this type of mistake from myself but you know luck was not by my side. Well, I tried to recover the data of the previous profile on Mozilla but it didn't work Metamask asked me again to import the account with seed and as I don't have both of these things I can try to find out Seed as it was just a raw wallet I didn't focus much to protect it but I remember when the first time I installed in browser a few months ago I backed-up my key. Now is there any solution to get back extension data and log in to meta mask without a key or seed all I had currently is the Browser backup profile with some bookmarks and extension files data.

Well, I know the fault but I was not expecting a loss of extensions data after the update, so as a result now I will put double attention to the newly added account to export their keys. I am not 100% hopeless as still have previous session data and maybe I can find somehow the primary account seed if there is any possibility then please guide me.

Tip of the Day
  • back up twice your Added account private key.
  • Don't trust the durability of the Extension data.
  • Never Leave for the Next day.

But you should have the key while creation of your wallet right no matter on which account you added that wallet so explore all the folders and let's see you got any luck on your side.

Backing up twice or thrice or more doesn't help unless we keep the backup in hard copy because the system can corrupt at anytime, possibility of hard disk failure is there so the real advice is keep the seeds or private keys in an offline drive or physically written note.
1403  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some of the most common mistakes we make as beginners, and how to avoid them. on: March 16, 2023, 02:01:15 PM
Just my 2 cents...

Forum is not necessarily for posting, keep reading as much as you can then only we can gain information which will lead us to better understanding of cryptocurrency, bitcointalk, blockchain, finance, investment, etc...

So newbies just focus on gaining knowledge the results will come to you for your efforts towards the betterment of our forum.

...and also few members were banned for abusing AI tools to farm account and fish merits but its more of mods choice if I am not wrong.

That's interesting. Are you sure the accounts you write about were banned for abusing AI tools? Can you give me one concrete example of an account that was banned for such actions? Exactly for using AI tools. I think that they were banned for other violations, because the moderators do not have a specific decision about the AI posts at the moment.
Myself don't know exactly they were banned for using AI but it looks like the user https://bpip.org/Profile?p=hasan21 banned for spamming using AI tools with the reference of this thread : Bounty spammer meets AI Chat generator. Can they be banned on the spot?

Because generally for spam the user will get temp ban unless they committed the mistake multiple times in the past and didn't change their posting behaviour even after temp ban but this user got permanent ban straight away correct me if I am wrong.
1405  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism vs AI Posting on: March 16, 2023, 08:06:06 AM
Theymos is yet to implement any rules about AI posts so as of now those are considered as spam and constantly removed when mods find it and also few members were banned for abusing AI tools to farm account and fish merits but its more of mods choice if I am not wrong.

I hope there will be an update in the forum rules regarding this, atleast it should be have some warning sign like this post is created by AI so it won't be used for abusing the campaigns.

Do you guys this there will be any changes in the rules of bitcointalk after the evolution of AI?
1406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanges Native Token And Bitcoin on: March 15, 2023, 08:25:33 PM
Generally I don't post in such old thread like this but this should be another proof why we should not trust the exchanges and their tokens for long term, Luna and FTX bite dust however Binance is also facing some pegging issues recently so we can't simply trust their reputation with our money, beware and choose the investment wisely.
1407  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why it's very boring to trade on public holiday's? on: March 15, 2023, 05:28:34 PM
Making money can never be boring unless you already made billions and not having enough days to spend even 1% of what you made and I hope you're not that much rich. Trading on weekends is quite profitable because institutional traders don't use those sessions much like others so we can see less trading activity while more individual traders who just trade on weekends either using more effective strategy than yours or you just don't like other than enjoying your weekend.
1408  Economy / Economics / Re: With the present economic outlook, do you think that this is good advise? on: March 15, 2023, 04:37:22 PM
I was having a chat with a senior mentor in the financial sector and I asked him what advise he had for recent graduates, he said despite the high rate of unemployment, they should avoid a small margin business and instead acquire a skill or learn a trade where there is a reasonable profit margin. Because the effort you put into a small margin profit business if paired with acquiring a skill will pay more in the future. With the present economic outlook, do you think that this is a good advise?
Acquiring more skills while doing whatever we are currently committed to is more preferable and that is what most experts suggest too or atleast the ones I am following because they are completely transparent and never screen what is happening with bold statement even if its against government and current policy.

Making multiple sources of revenue should be the goal to get better in this competitive world so work hard as well as smart when you can then only you can enjoy early retirement.
1409  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk account hacking/phishing Alert on: March 15, 2023, 04:04:20 PM
You can also quote the post to see what's behind the link. I don't think this is a big problem for people who have been online for a long time. Beginners, and especially curious beginners, will have to go through the path firsthand.

81% of Forum users use Desktop to visit this forum. While mobile users can check the link by quoting the post, Desktop users can check it more easily by hovering over it before clicking it. I am unsure if a simple visit can hack any account without writing credentials. Phishing collects credentials only when you write that on the website. Also, It's understandable that you won't get logged out when you visit in-forum links. If you click on any link that redirects you to the login page, That's Odd. You are already logged in to the forum. Why would it ask again to log in if you did not log out or clear the browser? This forum doesn't require login to check forum posts. I guess most forum users know what I have written so far.
It is possible to get the access of your device by simply clicking a link and its already proved by the cyber experts on many occasions that is why you should not be too careless whenever you receive a random link in any social media including bitcointalk.

Generally I delete such kind of messages and if I found its having any malicious link then never hesitated to report it to admin so do the same and the member who is involving in such practice will definitely get their penalty either temp or permanent ban.
1410  Economy / Economics / Re: If they have the solution, why are banks still failing? on: March 14, 2023, 06:24:47 PM
There will be some economist and financial advisors are talking about this somewhere but it didn't get enough buzz when something hit the cryptocurrencies which itself shows how boring the traditional stock market investment for the new generation investors. Mamy banks failed after covid but this isn't just another bank so it should be debated by the people who said banks are safe choice over their own custody.
1411  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "UNLOCKING THE POWER OF MERITS: STRATEGIES FOR GROWING YOUR ACCOUNT" on: March 14, 2023, 05:22:07 PM
Merit is not knowledge, merit shouldn't be the actual goal of community or else it will destroy the actual discussion and encouragement from the fellow members for engaging into a discussion.

Power of merit includes ranking your account and nothing else, even you can do anything by being a newbie itself with very few limitations so don't be to much obsessed with merits and try to make some with no efforts like this thread. Cheesy
1412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fear of KYC requirements on: March 12, 2023, 05:10:41 PM
Have you ever seen a online casino website that displays, No kYC requirements or KYC requirement for **** amount of withdrawal before? And why won't any online casinos do something like this? I believe this is suppose to boost users and players confidence when they are about to try out new gambling platforms for the first time.

I believe this is still affecting online gambling platforms because this is one of the most common issues that online gamblers are still facing.
You can see lots of them but everything will be scam cause for a gambling operator which is under q regulatory body should follow all the guidelines to operate their website so it's not in their hands since it is created by the governments and online casinos are also a part of this centralized system has no other choice.

KYC is not really affecting a common user so the casinos with mandatory KYC even have huge wagering and betting amounts.
1413  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a Morning Routine have any Effect as a Day Trader? on: March 12, 2023, 03:54:07 PM
Having a daily routine which includes workout, physical activity and healthy diet gives good concentration so if we want to focus then we can and can do whatever we wanted.

Myself not really giving much importance to physical activity but keeping healthy diet so I am doing good as far as I know so it really depends on every individuals and what their body reacts their activities.
1414  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase to Suspend Binance USD (BUSD) Trading on: March 12, 2023, 08:40:21 AM
Binance itself began to rely more on USDC and USDT, and therefore the end result is that more and more companies will not think in the short term to create new stableCOINs.
ALL stablecoins Marketcap will be limited to one or two coins.
the question remains: if an estimated percentage of the reserves was in BUSD form, can they fulfill their commitment and give a dollar to everyone who wants to exchange it? Who will bear the losses?

Binance must stop expanding until they completely finished removing BUSD effects.
Why do they keep increasing the supply if there is no demand for it which shows people are interes in BUSD because of the reputation behind Binance however we should never rely on reputation and trust will not work all the time in decentralisation so the users should realise the risk behind holding stable coins and start converting them into bitcoin or atleast fiat as early as possible.
1415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you interpret the fluctuation of Bitcoin price ? on: March 11, 2023, 08:32:44 PM
25% price drop in a week of time frame is not happening first time so really nothing to panic for holders and for investors 8ts 25% discount price so more returns in long term and so on. Price drop and hike is very common in bitcoin so speculating about it will lead to nothing unless we carry enough funds to manipulate the market and make profits from it.
1416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto or Forex? on: March 11, 2023, 06:26:39 PM
Hello,
What are the Advantages and Disadvantages of the Crypto and Forex? Why should anyone choose Crypto over Forex?

Thank you.
Is it about trading or utility?

Forex trading is in practice for decades but the reward ratio is negligible compared to the cryptocurrency trading along with its risk factor so one who understand it can choose which one will be suitable for them.
1417  Other / Meta / Re: Merit questions on: March 11, 2023, 05:40:28 PM
I have been here since 2017 and have Total time logged in: 16 hours and 55 minutes.

How does this Merit thing work? I am defiantly not asking for free or just handouts but I don't understand it.

If I want to give someone a Merit can I not because I am a Newbie? Or do I need to upgrade membership first?

You have been here since before the implementation of bitcointalk, but not really active so you didn't know about merits and all other forum activities which isn't really necessary for everyone to know but if you're will its actually there so all you need to do is start learning which can be achieved by reading more.

Simply to have one sMerits you need to earn 2 Merits then only you can send someone a merit and so on.
1418  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is kyc verification dangerous? on: March 10, 2023, 06:11:16 PM
You are giving away your personal identity to a company or platform to use for their purpose which is mostly due to the laws created by government which is dangerous for someone who doesn't want a third person to know their personal information, bank details, address, etc depends on what kind of KYC is required by the platform. So it really depends on how much data we give and is it really necessary to use the platform by compromising our identity for every individual.

Privacy is very important with the evolution of technology or you will become vulnerable to scams, theft, etc so that is why people who understands the risk behind the KYC theft is warning the people who is ignorant about it.
1419  Economy / Gambling / Re: What sort of Weekly & Monthly Bonuses do Bitcointalk members want? on: March 10, 2023, 04:31:42 PM
Currently we offer level-up bonuses for our VIP and rakeback. However, due to popular demand, we are looking to implement weekly and monthly bonuses as well. Do you guys happen to have any recommendations for a formula we should use in determining what an appropriate weekly/monthly bonus should be?

We would love to hear feedback from all bitcointalk members!

Hope you guys have an awesome and safe New Years! Smiley

if you want or can pick a lucky user using raffle or any kind of draw and reward the user but it is not that effective in my opinion from casino's perspective.
I personal don't think the idea of a raffle draw would be a great idea and this is because raffles are not targeted on worthy customers but is just something based on luck for a customer. I don't know if you get what I mean, like with raffles customers may not be motivated to actively make streaks of wagers since the standard for getting bonuses is rather through raffle and not based on how many wager or how active you are in a week or month.
Yes, I said that too but it would encourage new users to try their luck which means engagement that is the place if the users starts to like the user experience then they may start using their casino as well so its like long term investment so results can't be felt in few weeks or months.

Wagering bonus is the best possible rewarding system that can encourage someone to bet as high as possible but looking at their wagering amount I don't think they really pay any attention to the bonus because its peanut compared to how much amount they are betting.

I wonder why we don't see more decentralized casinos popping up where they run without KYC
it's curious
we have way more DEX (decentralized exchanges) than casinos

not sure why

Yes. It is kinda weird that there aren't many decentralized casinos around that do not ask for KYC. I mean, we have loads of decentralized exchanges, but hardly any casinos. I am not sure why that is, but my guess is that the rules for online gambling are way stricter than for crypto trading. Plus, some people might prefer the extra security that comes with giving their ID to a traditional online casino. But who knows, maybe we will start seeing more decentralized casinos popping up as the technology gets better and more widespread.

One thing for sure is due to the oracle problem. Injecting real-world data into a blockchain where decentralization expected is a tricky issue, mainly due to the eligibility and the correctness of the data. Since it is governed by the code/smart contract if there is a dispute or a problem in the real life, we can only rely on a centralized point of data. A limited selection of games also became a problem for user acquisition, it limited the platform to offer a variety of games.
No KYC doesn't mean it's decentralised, so centralisation and KYC is completely different for now almost every trusted crypto casino is centralised so they are operating under a regulatory body and the site has to follow the guidelines of regulatory body as of now almost every regulatory body implemented KYC as mandatory to tackle money laundering by scammer which is the sole reason why we can't see a casino without KYC.
