I could not believe when i saw the news that a team is all out for 15 runs. Terrible performance by Sydney Thunder and even a school team could have scored more than that. Henry Thornton and Wes Agar took 9 wickets in the match and Henry Thornton is yet to make his debut for the national team and Wes Agar played 2 ODI for the national team, either way young prospects for their national team. The same had taken place in Australia which have got the best players. The team could've managed to score atleast 50+ runs. That's really bad performance, the important thing this scoring have taking place in the second innings of the T20 match on the Big Bash League. Good work from the bowler and very bad performance from the batters as they weren't aware of playing according to the situation. |

From the men's T20 World Cup matches the rain problem continues. It truly disturb the viewers. Bangladesh Women isn't as good to win against New Zealand Women. Slowly the team is making progress and it takes more time to be a competent to New Zealand Women. In the first ODI managed to score 180 runs which isn't good enough, it requires atleast 250+ runs in an ODI. In women's games the totals are not as high as the men's game. And given the bowler friendly conditions in New Zealand, I would say that a score of 220-230 would have been enough. But Bangladesh couldn't even manage that much. In both the ODIs they scored well below 200. It is sad to see the slow progress from Bangladesh, despite being awarded test status almost 23 years ago. They have remained at where they were in 1999, both in men's and women's varieties. Anyway, the last match will be played tomorrow and the Bangladeshi women will be hoping for a win. Yes this is right. In the women matches they don't make high score as compare to men matches. I think 200+ runs in the women team is a good achievement. And you said the Bangladeshi women are hoping to win. So I think they only can hope. Because New Zealand team is much better than Bangladeshi team. But at this we can't say anything. Let see what happens? It's true that the run score of women teams is lower than Mens team and I think the cause of it is all about the stamina And it is natural that women will have less stamina than men. Well.. it is possible. Ravichandran Ashwin is next to come and he do have a very good batting record in subcontinental tracks. But the problem for India is that after Ashwin it is down to the tail. The three other players to come doesn't have any batting capabilities (Kuldeep Yadav, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Siraj). So I don't know how much India will be able to add to their existing score of 278/6. They may get bundled out for less than 300, or they may make a total of more than 400. Either way, Bangladesh will be on backfoot.
I was expecting Shreyas Iyer to stay much longer in the crease but either way Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav was able to take that role and build a great partnership that would eventually take the total over to 404 and with Bangladesh struggling at 133 runs for the loss of 8 wickets and with plenty of time left in the match this is a match where India could not loose with the situation they are in, may be Bangladesh fell for their own trap by making a spinning track. He's called Zimbabar because of his ODI average against Zimbabwe, the main reason his average inflated drastically, despite that IMO he's not a bad player in ODI but trolls always look for weak points. Another reason is the majority of tons he made in UAE (another home ground) and Pakistan.
It's not related to his test career although it's also true that most of his test tons came at flat decks and didn't do much except 1 (80-ish % sure) against Aussie in their last pak's tour when the match got draw and it was one of the flattest deck, guess pitch got demerit points.
Its time for Pakistan to do some key changes in there squad like give some rest to Muhammad Rizwan and bring back Sarfraz. I dont think there is anyone who can replace Babar as captain but this is also fact that Babar has done too much damage to the team because of his favoritism. Only those players are included in team which have good terms with Babar. Despite poor performance of Rizwan he is still given chances only because he has good relations with Captain Babar. Favouritism can be seen in most of the Asian teams. I'm not sure of other countries. New Zealand women team played very well they beat Bangladesh by 8 wickets and 19 overs. The target of 180 runs in the ODI match was very insignificant. Because if a team can bowl full 50 overs in odi, then it should must score at least 300 runs . Bangladesh also missed their single runs, so even though they could play the entire 50 overs, they could not progress in terms of runs .
They played really well. They have the target of 181 runs and they played well and in 31 overs they chase the target and gave only 2 wickets to Bangladesh women team. I was thinking that if the New Zealand took the bat first they could make the 300 runs easily in 50 overes because there Run Rate was very good. This is the continuation of the poor performances by Bangladesh women against New Zealand women. I am just astounded that they played the whole 50 overs and only scored 180 runs in that time.
