Aliens are real and military & extraterrestrial UFO's do exist...... but they are the least of our problems -- or at least, that's what they want us to think.  Shocked

anyone used DHL for shipping method ? are they good ?

They have to be better than UPS, out of my B3 order 1 was lost and 4 were stolen by one of the UPS guys with the last name of Wilkerson he had a hold put on the account and had it moved to will call and pick them up.

So anyone using UPS keep an eye out for a hold being put on your account.

Has anyone successfully used the support/message system on bitmain's site?   I submitted a request and every time I login it shows an '*' next to received messages, as if I have a message, but there are no messages showing up. The '*' may just be a weird bug on the site and I just haven't gotten a response yet....

I, and most of the non-Russian speaking World, can't understand a word of what that girl is saying, but I believe the Japanese will make a Manga cartoon with her to pair up with the Crimean prosecutor if they see the video...

This is why Google translate is built into YouTube, which is where the subtitles are coming from.

Subs doesn't load unless loading at YouTube itself, reason why I hadn't see them.
After see with subs and listen to the foxy girl babbling about the "evil right wingers", she sounds nothing like a non-credible brainwashed woman.

Didn't realize the embedded version didn't show them!   And I would agree with your assessment of the woman.  Grin

Is THIS Why the Plane Was Shot Down?

Senior U.S. officials now admit that the Malaysian airlines passenger plane was likely accidentally shot down.

The Russian government claims Ukrainian fighter jets were flying very close to Malaysian Flight 17 when it was shot down.  Others claim that Ukrainian fighter jets were escorting the Malaysian plane through Ukrainian airspace.

However, a Youtube video made a month before Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot down alleges that Ukranian fighter jets were hiding behind passenger planes, pulling away temporarily, dropping bombs on Ukrainian separatists, and then hiding again behind the plane

So what's in the bags everyone is carrying around?

I have a bit of a problem. Hoping someone can help, I'm fine with computers but have no clue when it comes to network addresses etc.

To start with, I couldn't change the routers subnet so I went through a direct PC connection. Logged into the Ant fine & changed to DCHP. The Ant still had 192.168.1.99/24 as the IPv4 address at that time.

Here's where I went wrong perhaps, I had to connect to the internet again to get details for my pool (having to disconnect from the Ants), and since then I haven't been able to re-login to the Antminers. I've tried resetting them and trying to find them via the router, but they are not there. Anyone have any idea what went wrong/how I can login to them again pls?

Download Advanced IP Scanner and run that. It should find your Ant.

Good advice, but if you do find the IP address is still .1.99 and you can't log into it try a factory reset and plug directly in again.  I had a similar problem with my S1 when I first got it.  Played around with the settings and couldn't even connect directly to my lappy.  I could see it using IP scanner, but couldn't get to the login page because of the different subnet.

I just changed the IP on my miner after to suit my routers subnet (.0.99)

Now doing a factory reset on an S3, I'm a B3'er so I have no idea if this is possible.  On the S1 there was a tiny button on the logic board.  I'd press it, then turn off at the power supply about 5 seconds after, power back up and it would be back to factory settings.

Hope that helps  Smiley

Thanks silverthorne, that was exactly the problem.

atledenin, Both Ants were still 192.168.1.99 but no matter how many times I reset the things I can't seem to log in as I did before.  This is getting frustrating, even GPU mining felt easier than this lol

Do you have both miners running on the same network, at the same time?   If so, try just doing one at a time to avoid any IP conflicts and change its IP before starting up the other.

Yes this may have been part of the initial problem, but I can't be sure. Certainly later when they were suddenly recognized again I found the software swapping between them so assigning separate IPs is essential.  thx for your help

And just to re-state my prior post, I had issues with making certain changes through the web interface using Safari and ended up having a smoother experience using firefox and/or chrome (I tried both). Not entirely sure why Safari was having issues but it wasn't changing the IP when I was using Safari.

Also - make sure you are modifying the right 'adapter' (not the bridge)

If your S3 is not performing at 440 GHs, may be worth a shot to re-flash it.

Download the firmware here:

https://bitmaintech.com/files/download/antMiner_S320140711.bin

This was from the S3 thread and not sure why I didn't think of this instead of playing around with the freq's - but it worked. Got my unit I had to set at 212 freq to get 420 up to the 440's at the 218. Anyone with under performing units might try.

I reflashed both of my units, and so far, I cant really see a change.  With underclock at 212.50 I was getting 420-430 gh/s and I put them back up to 218.75 and am getting 442 gh on each.

If you used the link above, you were pointed to the original firmware file...... not the new one.

EDIT:  um... what happened to the new firmware file?

Any chance you are you using Safari?

I think Safari was screwing with the changes being applied or something because I had issues setting a static IP... it wouldn't take hold and eventually after re-saving multiple times, I couldn't connect to it at all. Holding reset for 20+ seconds (no clue how long its supposed to take, I default to 20 seconds  Cool) got it reset for me back to .99

Well the S3's destroyed my Thermaltake 600W PSUs which had previously been powering cubes without any issues. They ran fine with them for about 30 minutes although cables were getting pretty hot, not 100% sure why it killed them yet. One PSU went peacefully, the other gave a nice fireworks display.  Shocked    Ended up using a Corsair RM1000 to power both and they have been running pretty good since, with no hot cables.  Grin

For the past few days one S3 was only avging 380GHs and showed no 'x' and everything looked fine but after a reboot it kicked it somewhat back in gear. Currently around 430GHs avg now. The other has been running fine avging 440GHs. No overclocking attempts at this point.
Thanks for replying, I'm hoping some more will share stories.

Which model thermaltake psu was that? You used it for only one unit?

This is the main reason I am on the search for a quality PSU which can handle the proper power on the 12V rail. I'm worried about using split pci-e cables because 24/7 operation and hot cables doesn't always end up good Sad Problem for me searching is the amount of PCI-e cables that actually come with most sub 1000w psu. I might end up getting a handful of the molex to PCI-e adapters Sad

Thermaltake TR2-600NL2NC
https://www.thermaltakeusa.com/products-model_Specification.aspx?id=C_00002032

I had 1 powering each S3. I initially tried using the split cable with both PCIx connections, but ended up using the split cable to power 1 connection on the S3 and using an adapter to convert 2x LP4s to a PCIx and used that as the 2nd connection - this may have been a mistake but my intent was to balance out the heating of the cables, which was a bigger issue using the split cable. The RM1000 has been running fine and the cables are cold (and flat)

Where you using the 600W for running both? If so it would have been to much power draw for the power supply to handle. The S3 that is having issues it might be good to try re-flashing/updating the firmware.

One 600W per S3, I wouldn't attempt to power 2 on a 600W - the mathematics just don't work out.  Cheesy
Didn't realize there was a firmware update already but I will give this a try, thanks!
